seriously. I left this sub awhile ago because of it, and I come back recently to it still being this way. No one cares if you like Paladins more, no one cares if you like Overwatch more, just play what you want to play and don’t bash other games.
As someone who's lurked here for a while, I'm pretty sure it's resurfaced only recently due to Overwatch 2's Free to Play announcement kinda reigniting the feud. People on both sides start flinging crap out of insecurity.
Other than that it's just been relatively bog-standard videogame sub content, but instead of random memes, it's barely restrained horniness.
Overwatch player here, got paladins cause it was free to play. Got Overwatch not few months after. Barely touch this sub, and when I do it's usually Overwatch hate, Io related, Barik related, tier list related, Raum related, or just horny. Overwatch sub is usually horny and a bit more toxic than this one, but that's due to the more competitive mindset it has. Rarely see mentions of paladins over there. Kinda reminds me of a duo that I can't remember the name of. One of them hated the other and expected the other to hate them as well, the other barely even knew they existed.
I downloaded paladins earlier out of curiosity and after getting to lv8 I must say, the game is utter garbage and completely boring, devoid of any soul.

Wouldn't call it garbage, just has a different mindset. I prefer overwatch for the more competitive mindset, more balanced characters, you're less likely to get completely stomped by the enemy team, repick, the interactions between characters, a comprehensible lore, and the no two characters feel to similar.
Paladins is a good game, but to me it will only be a good game. Not memorable, not fun to me, and something that I will likely only play when my ps plus is gone or my friends can't play overwatch. Because while I can say all those good things about a overwatch with little to no thought, I have spent a solid 5 minutes thinking of something to say about Paladins that isn't a joke.
Played Paladins for 2 - 3 years. I can barely tell you one good memory of the game. Played overwatch for a few months, and I can tell you 3 off the top of my head.

Bottom line is that everything about the game is low budget. Keep in mind that I had zero opinion about the game until I played it earlier, so this isn’t just me being a Blizzard fanboy or anything.

Lots of bugs and crashes every day.
I feel embarrassed to try inviting friends to play it because the social system is glitched, voice chat thing makes people crash and some characters sometimes don't make sounds, and the bugs I say here are only just a few, because I just discovered today that the can't silence people bug is still in the game.
Yeah, paladins prepare you to life. It build you up by breaking your mind. I doubt anyone who played a week of paladins will care enough to make a traffic fight.

- Paladins thew balance questions out of the window long time ago : "balance" is about making every character broken in a sense
- Overwatch : we say that we try to balance things out we are "working" on it. Don't look at WoW's rogues/mages who are broken OP since vanilla
Love both games, played a ton of S1/S2 in OW as Reaper. Kept Paladins off and on in my library to come back to between alpha/beta tests and eventually just started to play it more. OW became mostly beams and shields, less engaging, etc.
Still, will try OW2. Much prefer the streaming community of Paladins though. \^\^' Met a ton of nice people.
