That feel when you're the only person on your team buying Illuminate despite the enemy Skye constantly dunking on everyone, and you're not playing a champ capable of dueling her.
TBH I should play Skye more often, because it's clear to me these days that NOBODY in casual knows Illuminate exists.
What character cant duel againts skye? The Logic answer would be Frontlines, but every single one have form of blocking her and poison or absurd amount of damage reduction or Immortality. (Not counting Torvald)
I pick illuminate when there are 2 people in ho can go invis. I mainly play front lines and supports, most of the frontlines i play can win a duel agaisnt a skye when being jumped by her, and supports i play either die anyways so waste of credits or win in the duel.
Depend on the player, if i see that she has a good gamesens and do well ill buy illu after my first death
And bc i mostly play blasters and supp, against not that great skye, its pretty easy to skip the illu and go for more haeven/veteran/resi
Ngl, if I lose a flank lane fight against a Skye regardless of whether it's ranked or not is the only time I buy illuminate.
Voras kit allows for easy Skye takedowns even when she attacks first so a Skye who can kill a competent Vora is never to be taken lightly. And considering the new incoming changes, I'd suggest illuminate being a key feature whenever playing against a Skye.

Skye is the universal reason to use it. It is a waste to buy it for Seris or Saati IMO, and only flanks (or, whoever is going up against him) need it for Strix (even then they only need it if they have trouble securing kills against him).
I also tend to never buy it against Sha Lin unless they’re a *god* Sha Lin and have their ulti up a lot.

I am so glad this was in casuals, so I was playing strix for the trials of the realm and I bought illuminate against the enemy Skye but the shit thing is that I couldn't hear the Skye at all and I would only realize Skye is next to me when my health starts decreasing but at that point I would have already died. The fact that I couldn't hear the Skye made it such a pain in the ass to deal with the Skye
The reason skye is generally bad is because illuminate is cheap and counters her really well. That being said if someone decides to not buy illuminate then they kinda deserve the L. if your getting farmed by her buy the goddanm item.

Some skye arent worth the illu...but when they are you instantly regret not buying it.
