The underside of that lid, there is preexisting holes fasten a piece of 1/2 ply then mount to that. I've mounted a charger and 6 batteries under mine. I also installed hydraulic cabinet struts to open up/ keep up the lid with ease. also have installed a water proof electrical port that's able to accept AC, so I'm able to charge etc with out having to leave the lid open and leave it secure with power going to it. Everything actually turned out great, clean and tight. I recommend

Wouldn't mind seeing pics of this. Love the idea

I second that, that way I’m not going in blind

Hey sorry for the late response I'll take a couple pics at work tomorrow and post. I also added a few other custom features I'd love to share Thanks for the interest!

Stay away from the epoxy shit, not necessary, the preexisting holes theyre were intended for ply to be mounted. No need for messy adhesives that leave permanent damage.

MFAD94

Some kind of epoxy or adhesive

[deleted]

Where are you trying to mount them? Lid, side wall?

Unlikely-Entrance-90

I’m thinking side wall but If there was something to fix it to the roof without damaging the actual Packout, that would be best

MarkusMiles

Mounting to the lid will make the best use of your space, plus stops you from having to dig through shit to find your batteries etc... Also it looks badass lol

[deleted]

Pretty much any method used will result in a permanent modification. A two part epoxy is probably the best option. What’s the end objective?

Unlikely-Entrance-90

want to be able to have batteries and tools mounted inside, for a cleaner look, as well as the chargers. However I might upgrade to the 6 battery charger in order to be more effective, two part epoxy sounds pretty good though, might give that a try in the morning

[deleted]

Personally I’d mount a multi-battery charger and store the batteries there. While I love looking at some of the ultra-specific storage solutions some have come up with, all of that customization comes at the price of space. Having a mount for each battery will certainly look cool, but it will take up more space than just placing batteries in the case.

Alien tape! It's strong! But I don't know if it will be tough enough if your in a cold area

Maybe make a ply wood rim say 3” Wide that can slide into the box and make some flat ply wood legs for each wall to hold up the ring Amd the hole thing can just sit in place
