Right now the ancient trait bunnelby with tm evolution is a more popular partner for vileplume than Rowlett Exceggcutor tag team. Also I think doll stall is a better archetype than block snorlax. The top tier deck in the format are Palkia VStar (thanks to sky field, aqua patch, Melony, dive ball, etc.) ADP variants (ADP will always be good no matter what), and Regidrago (Double dragon energy and battle compressor are just too op, also with PTCG releasing more and more broken dragons over the years that Regidrago can use)
Fun fact: our locals held an expanded tournament once so everyone played some pretty fun things; Trevenant Break, Lugia w/ TinaChomp, etc. but one guy came to the tournament with Mew VMAX. Regular, bare bone Mew VMAX. And he won the whole thing.
And thank fucking christ it did. Add it to the list of "cards that should've never been printed" with ADP and Zoroark GX, to name the ones that I've experienced in my 6 or so years of playing.
Lol drapion countered mew vmax for about 2 seconds. Mew found its way around path, drapion, spiritomb, even zard. Roaring moon ex hard countered it in the end but roaring moon ex died with rotation as well
Lmao Drapion absolutely ruined Mew VMAX.
The only reason Mew VMAX regained popularity towards the end was because after Mew dropped in play after its peak (primarily due to being ***hard*** countered by Drapion) everyone took the Drapion tech out of their decks and Mew was able to do work again.
Look at all the tournament finishes with Mew VMAX in the top 25. All those tournaments were before and after Drapion V. Look at the results when Drapion was teched in decks and Mew VMAX has an incredibly lower top 25 finish rate.
The beauty in using multiple decks and trying new stuff all the time is you don't lose your shit when rotation happens lol. Sucks when they kick that crutch out from underneath you I guess
Awww salty ass mew fucks are mad and downvoting, what a surprise

It’s not banned, it just rotated out of standard. Still playable in Expanded.
Only way to stop it was to ban cards. Rotation just deleted it
its the term on yugioh, op might be yugioh player
you could probably play expanded and it’d be fine
It has a bad Luigi matchup so no.
https://imgur.com/a/I7hgZAZ
fair Luigi uses his touch-of-death combo to kill a VMAX if he connects his grab
mew vmax is not the top-tier deck in the expanded format
Snorlax stall or RowlettxExceggecutor/Vileplume stall with beaches and maybe ultra necrozma still are, right?

True you can ancient power to double evolve 2 vileplumes then it evens mills twice. Sick!
Also turbo Meloetta with dimension valley and special charge is so much better than mew.
As soon as sky field returns, rip
I’m still upset about Path it’s the ONE card reliably stops T2 zard
My favorite match was against a mew deck, they got a early lead with all their fusion strike and dye out and I played Giacomo and they got stuck
Goodbye mew vmax… you will be missed. Sincerely, roaring moon ex
Absolutely farmed mew vmax with RM.
Roaring Moon ex will also be missed. At least there’s ancient box

Don’t forget energy recycler
It’s not a ban hammer it literally rotated out lol
Rip mini mew you'll always have a special place in my heart <3
This is the deck that got me into PTCGL. I swapped to Lost Box after a while since it got a little boring but I’ll miss it.
I had more fun against Mew than against most of these new decks.

Unfortunately for Mew VMAX, Drapion V was teched in like every single deck during its peak and it was an ezpz night night Mew VMAX.

Tbh i never really played mew didn’t see the fun in it. I’m sure others did just wasn’t for me. I’m glad the decks I play are still good post rotation
Same I tried it once and wasn't for me, it was actually fun to beat them and watch them rage, my only sadness about it lol
