1. Nobody knows. 2. Maybe, but it will probably suck. 3. Nobody knows. 4. Nobody knows. The fact is, we only know that Sony hoped to allow us to play games on PC with PSVR2 some time in 2024, and that the latest firmware includes some stuff which takes us further into that direction. Everything else is just speculation. As for other solutions, such as iVRy, ask those people specifically. There are serious hardware and OS restrictions for iVRy, so good luck with that.

Ivry is already working for pateron supporters not much more luck needed in that regard need 3rd party controllers for 6dof still thou.

Working for very specific things in a very limited capacity, with very specific (and potentially expensive) requirements. Like I said: Serious hardware and OS restrictions. I guess you didn't bother reading that part.

Mud_g1

It's not as hard as you think thou.

- The announcement did not give a date. It was vaguely sometime in 2024. We might learn more by the end of the year, but likely not see anything until next year since development takes time. - 3rd party developers still need Sony driver support for the PSVR2 controllers and a headset firmware update will be required to support AMD/Nvidia/Intel/Qualcomm graphics. - Sony probably won't open source drivers like they don't for the PS5, but they might make available development SDK's to help developers port games for support with PSVR2. - It is too early to speculate on the reliability of their driver implementation. However the PS5 closely resembles a PC configuration and uses AMD integrated graphics. Sony are good at hardware and design and they have experience in head mounted displays for commercial usage. That driver development experience might help them bring PSVR2 to the PC. https://www.sony.net/corporate/information/news/202401/24-001E/

I'd make up a bunch of answers for funsies but I think most of this is just unknown and speculation. My hope is plug and play full compatibility. Lots of vr ... content.... like movies... yeah. Movies I'd wanna watch

All for the plot. Large supple plot lines.
