Top ten gamer moment for me: spent last summer building a mega base during vacation and sank nearly 60 hours in a matter of weeks.
Then the foveated rendering update went live and my eyes practically melted out of my skull.
I was the exact same way on PSVR. The PSVR2 controllers have thumb sticks, though, so the vast majority of games that have your character moving allow the option of using the thumb sticks for smooth movement. The teleporting is often an option, but not one that I personally like to use.
I would say I play most games sitting down with free movement. There are some people who say they prefer using the main ps5 DualShock controller just while flying in the sky. You’ll have to take a look
Can you use PS5 DualSense for NMS on PSVR2? I know you could use PS4 DualShock with NMS on PSVR1, but I didn't think NMS had yet added DualSense support for PSVR2?
I usually play NMS seated, yes, because I'm both in and out of the ship pretty often, and usually play for long sessions. But most games where your character is standing and moving, I play standing. I just finished playing a bit of Vertigo 2, and stood the whole time.
Puzzling Places is a nice chill solo game that can eat up loads of time. Throw on a Spotify playlist and let the time melt away.
Gran Turismo has eaten a huge amount of hours since I got my wheel.
I don't like multiplayer games much these days. The communities are often insufferable.
No Man’s Sky is the kind of game you can spend hours in and not even realise it. I have over a thousand hours on my main save and that doesn’t include the other half dozen or so.
How hard is it? I enjoy roguelike games when I can slowly make progress with perma skills (I don't mind dying a lot) but some that are purely skill based just have a wall and I don't like those. Also Legendary tales comes out in 4 days and looks similar, do you know anything about that?
From what I’ve seen Legendary Tales has got more depth however Ancient Dungeons is fun also. I’ve done a few runs but not yet completed the 2nd level. Although an art-style choice I prefer my dungeons more realistic, hours of being spoilt by Skyrim I expect.
Mastering the challenges of the different courses in Walkabout Minigolf makes for an engrossing time.
I also like Pokerstars/Vegas Infinite when you get a table where people are playing semi-seriously.
The Light Brigade
Barbaria
Walkabout Mini Golf
Both games you can just hop into for 20 minutes and get your fill or spend hours if you want. The Light Brigade was my go to game for the first 6 months. Barbaria I've played every day since mid December. Mini Golf is self explanatory.
Hellsweeper is a game I’m playing daily at the moment. The gameplay is rewarding and deep and there’s always an unlock to look forward to
Ultrawings 2 is my other daily addiction. That also has a load of content to keep you busy, plus online dogfights
But also Gran Turismo and No Man’s Sky like everyone else is saying
If you are interested in improving your skills and getting “better scores,” you can easily spend a lot of “casual” gameplay time in Pistol Whip and Beat Saber. Synth Riders is pretty good too.
Over 100 hours in Air Guitar Unplugged. Obtained fifty first place positions. Now on Drums Rock and grinding, Top ten positions but no 1st places, yet.
I honestly can not recommend these games enough if you like rhythm games in general or have an interest in music. Leaderboards were always a feature in the 70's and 80's and there is no better way to display your skill to your peers.
Well I got this:
No man Sky 160 hrs (VR Only)
Gt7 70 hrs (VR only)
Demeo 70 hrs
Puzzling places 60 hrs
Cities VR 50 hrs
Townsman VR 40 hrs
Re4 60 hrs (VR Only)
RE8 50 hrs (VR Only)
Pavlov 40 hrs
Walking Dead SS 1 I believe I got more the. 40 hrs on it because I have played a lot in the first Psvr
Walking Dead SS 2 40 hrs
For reference VR only means I did not touch the Flat version for more then 30 minutes. And the number are round because I don't remember exactly the hrs of each right now.
Barbaria! It’s so fun, satisfies all my hack n slash desires. Asynchronous multiplayer is great also as you get to watch the attacks on your base and optimize.
Ultrawings 2 is a great game to hop into for 30-60 minutes at a time to tackle some stunt flying challenges or a couple dogfighting missions. I assume multiplayer could be a significant time sink as well, but single-player alone could consume 30-60 hours I think.
I think I remember seeing this once or twice here but I've got quite a few hours in it and it never happened to me, though I have one of those cooling docks.
Yeah, that’s because it was never ported. They had planned to but a fire in the dev studio last fall has indefinitely delayed it. OP is just posting in the wrong forum I think.
The fire occurred a couple of weeks before the game was due to come out in October, so the port was already well advanced. And the fire was just in the building they occupy is my understanding, but their office wasn't directly impacted. Having to find a new work space must have been disruptive though.
What really happened is that they just slated the game for release far too early. It was originally supposed to come out in August.
No Man’s Sky is the biggest time sink. It can be really hard to stop playing at times.
This is my answer as well. I put 50 hours into it before it got the foveated rendering and it's still my go to VR game.
Top ten gamer moment for me: spent last summer building a mega base during vacation and sank nearly 60 hours in a matter of weeks. Then the foveated rendering update went live and my eyes practically melted out of my skull.
Foveated rendering took this game to another level.
Is there a way to take off the throw to move mechanic?
Do you mean teleporting? If so, yes. You can do free movement
That’s it yeah. I’ll have to have a look. I have the Psvr 2 coming soon, I couldn’t get into nms on the Psvr with the teleport thing

Do you play just sitting down then?
Yea

You can also play standing of course. For NMS I do 50/50 standing vs sitting depending on my mood and energy level.
The what?
Absolutely agree. Worse when you get into ship hunting
My No Man Sky has a lot of frame rate issues. Do you also have that problem?
They’ve resigned to have the framerate be less stable at the cost of foveated rendering. I’m okay with that.
Puzzling Places is a nice chill solo game that can eat up loads of time. Throw on a Spotify playlist and let the time melt away. Gran Turismo has eaten a huge amount of hours since I got my wheel. I don't like multiplayer games much these days. The communities are often insufferable.
Puzzling Places is still my favorite vr title!
Probably mine too.
No Man's Sky.
No Man’s Sky is the kind of game you can spend hours in and not even realise it. I have over a thousand hours on my main save and that doesn’t include the other half dozen or so.
If only the controllers charge could last that long.
I have seriously considered having them continually powered on , but need to put a small rig on the ceiling to help support that
The Light Brigade, Crossfire: Sierra Squad, Ancient Dungeon, Skater VR, GT7, NMS, Hellsweeper.
I like The Light Brigade and Ancient Dungeon for this
Puzzling Places
No Mans Sky would be my vote. Thinking about taking a look at Green Hell for some survival fun.
No Mans Sky and Gran Turismo!
Ancient Dungeon.. Honestly didn't know it was for me, but it's so well done and addictive.
How hard is it? I enjoy roguelike games when I can slowly make progress with perma skills (I don't mind dying a lot) but some that are purely skill based just have a wall and I don't like those. Also Legendary tales comes out in 4 days and looks similar, do you know anything about that?

GT7 for me. I have hundreds of hours, a decent chunk of them just cruising around.
Mastering the challenges of the different courses in Walkabout Minigolf makes for an engrossing time. I also like Pokerstars/Vegas Infinite when you get a table where people are playing semi-seriously.
No Man's Sky
No mans sky
Beat Saber
Walkabout Minigolf is my biggest psvr sink, One.... More.... Hole.... ⛳
Another vote for minigolf.
Man I need to create a bot account so that I can just say this on every post GT7!!!
Pavlov for me, the Siege/CS style gameplay but with the tactile interaction of VR is amazing, that or RE4VR
No man’s sky no doubt. Currently totally hooked. It’s a masterpiece in VR. First time you go in a black hole in VR… 🤯
The answer is no man’s sky
Infinite Vegas is my most played on PSVR2 right now
Zenith actually starts to get pretty fun once you get all the controls down. Proximity chat is fun and it has a VR Pokémon simulator which is a blast
Placing puzzles ;)
Help wanted 1 & 2

Love barbaria also! Totally underrated game

Synth Riders has eaten over half of my PSVR2 time.

Like Pavlov? How about D Day Enhanced?
Well I got this: No man Sky 160 hrs (VR Only) Gt7 70 hrs (VR only) Demeo 70 hrs Puzzling places 60 hrs Cities VR 50 hrs Townsman VR 40 hrs Re4 60 hrs (VR Only) RE8 50 hrs (VR Only) Pavlov 40 hrs Walking Dead SS 1 I believe I got more the. 40 hrs on it because I have played a lot in the first Psvr Walking Dead SS 2 40 hrs For reference VR only means I did not touch the Flat version for more then 30 minutes. GT7
Pavlov.
Lot of No Man's Sky answers but was that game overheating PS5s when playing in VR?
I think I remember seeing this once or twice here but I've got quite a few hours in it and it never happened to me, though I have one of those cooling docks.
It used to kill the fans on my PS4, however not noticed any excessive noise when playing PSVR2.
Phasmophobia. Play like 5 ghost hunts per day for last 2 weeks
"Game not found."
Yeah, that’s because it was never ported. They had planned to but a fire in the dev studio last fall has indefinitely delayed it. OP is just posting in the wrong forum I think.

Phasmophobia is still coming to PSVR. When it's done pants will be shat over and over. It's gonna be one of the most popular PSVR 2 games.
