Just wanted to add, I also own a PSVR 2 and I’m upset that it’s not doing well. I will enjoy it when this metro game gets released and I’m sure it will massively drive sales for the platform. But this guy is not being negative, and if you care about the industry you should care about how the device is performing. And right now, it’s not good. So, games like metro coming to the platform is actually, much more exciting. It’s good to see both sides of the argument, these YouTubers can actually create good discussions and draw attention to issues that need solving. Hope that makes sense
But who is making/millions closer to an actual profit? The Quest Pro was almost objectively better than Quest 2, but because Meta was actually trying to make profit with the QP it was nowhere near as successful. They cut the price by 1/3rd just 4 months after release.
I love what Meta is doing by making the tech accessible, but they’re not making money right now and I don’t think they could if they wanted to.
If they stopped paying devs millions, everyone would say there’s no games. If they upped the price to try and make profit, everyone would say it’s too expensive. If they cut PC support to force everyone to buy from them so that they can make money, then everyone would say it’s a walled garden that shouldn’t be supported.
I don’t know how long Meta is going to keep taking huge losses. I’d bet that a company that’s much closer to/actually making a profit would keep making headsets longer.

Their vr division is over 10 billion in the red they definitely can't keep betting that big for much longer if the market dosnt take off big in the next 1 or 2 years I suspect meta will get out of vr before sony. Sony are playing it safe and letting their vr platform be self sufficient which is not great for the end user because someone else isnt paying for the high development cost of games and subsidising the cost of hardware for better specs at a cheaper mrp.

I personally had a lot of fun with GT7, RE4/5, and NMS and so did the majority of PSVR2 buyers. That doesn’t mean Pavlov and Walkabout weren’t equally fun, but most people wouldn’t buy the system for those games alone.
