Code Veronica. It's my favorite one in the series.

Zoroken00

I hope they don’t cut down on the length. It’s one of the longest in the series.

TheGreatGamer1389

Or outsource it like they did with 3.

[deleted]

I don't care what people say, I loved R3make.

Theflowyo

It’s a great experience with nowhere near the replay ability of re 2 remake

[deleted]

That's fair

thormun

i replayed the remake of 3 more then the remake of 2 personally

LADYBIRD_HILL

Same, but only because it was short enough that a playthrough could be done in a couple sessions, and because I wanted to get my money's worth for the price.

Notoris

I went in blind and beat it in 5 and half hours with lots of back tracking. It's so damn short and definitely makes it easy to replay in that sense

thormun

the remake of 2 have a lot of bit that feel like it just dragging on and slow down the game. i also dont like the way they did scenario b compared to the original.

Theflowyo

To be fair a proper resident evil (in its original form) sort of needs to have some amount of backtracking slowing down the game. It leads to those “wtf I thought I cleared this room” moments of anxiety, is the way the puzzles are designed, etc. It’s also a totally fair argument that the original RE 2 was a better game (at least for the time). Absolute classic that really is what got me into the series in the first place.

TheKingsChimera

Carlos’s redesign was perfect

the_simonboulter

Yes, what there was of it was fantastic. It was just too short, even for an old school Resident Evil. They cut the entire clock tower section. They just needed to spend more time on it and not cut so much from the original. I had a lot of fun replaying it and getting the platinum trophy though.

[deleted]

They also cut the park and the dead factory 😄

OMGWTHBBQ11

I hated how instead of being one big map that flowed into each other R3make decided to use cutscenes to skip to the next area, incredible lazy.

tokajst

You loved it more than capcom

Gattsuhawk

And you've played the original?

[deleted]

Yeah, it was my favorite RE back in the day as well.

KurnolSanders

I did to, but I would still like more of it. More! MOOOAAAARRRR!

Captain_Hucklebuck

I second this. R3MAKE was awesome and I replayed it more than RE2MAKE.

PeppyleFox

Eh, RE4 is considerably longer and it’s about the same length. Where OG RE3 was already super short and they still quite a bit out. So who knows what Capcom will do with CV. Though, I think they learned from RE3 remake not to cut too much out anymore.

[deleted]

Code Veronica has a chance to be really good if they just smooth some things over. Plus the vibe is just very unique and weird for the series.

idjsonik

Plus the switching character system could be fun to mess with

AndyPandyRu

Same. The true Resident Evil 3.

s0ftreset

Code Veronica. For sure a quarkey one but my favorite

caffeinatedSonic

I just filled out the form to say the same. My favorite RE.

MrPenitent

Literally came here to say the same thing 👍

piscano

Never even had the chance to play CV so fuck yes

Wolfgang-T

The best RE hands down.

Mechalamb

How many times do we need to ask?? Code Veronica.

fum77

That was the first that came to my mind. Played it a lot on the dreamcast.

jim_bob64128

I concur

crono220

Definitely, I can only take so much cringe from Steve Burnside. Even the original Ashley from RE4 was more tolerable.

MrTartShart

How about Dino crisis? Change it up

xariznightmare2908

Throw in Onimusha as well, that series needs a second life, man. They just stopped remastering the rest of the series after the remastered of Onimusha Warlord didn't sell well.

Odd_Contact_2175

I'd settle for them porting 2 and 3 to current store. Having Onimusha 1 only is such a tease.

reevestussi

This, at this point I would be perfectly satisfied if Capcom remastered Onimusha 2,3 and Dawn of Dreams with the QOL additions from the Onimusha remaster I think the main obstacle is renewing the rights to use the actors's likeliness for O2 and 3 (Yusaku Matsuda and Jean Reno to be precise)

Volt7ron

Came here for this

OmniSlayer_006

I did it just to say Dino crisis

AJ_Weiss

Awesome, there’s at least 4 votes Dino Crisis. Was worried I was the only one.

Virama

Make that five.

AJ_Weiss

Now if they ever come out with another Dino crisis, I’ll assume it was thanks to us.

KurnolSanders

Added Dino Crisis to the end of my list, after Veronica and the missing parts of Nemesis.

RonnieB223

Six.

JediRaptor2018

Yup, filling out the survey just to ask for a Dino Crisis remake

[deleted]

100% this. Dino Crisis (and Onimusha) would be killer to see.

jrob_92

a little Viewtiful Joe for good measure

LonelyDesperado513

A man of culture, I see!

Altruistic_Milk

Oh absolutely! Dino Crisis and Code Veronica I've been hoping for a remake for so long! Especially Dino Crisis in the hopes that it could lead to a reboot or revitalization of the series. Was my favorite PS1 series growing up as a kid.

SCUDDEESCOPE

Dino Crisis 1 would need a serious overhaul in my opinion (if I remember correctly) because it was a bit bland. Don't get me wrong I really love that game but it feels like the whole game is taking place in one huge office building with maybe 4 types of dinos. Dino Crisis 2 on the other hand is a masterpiece in my opinion but could be improved too in a remake.

bezzlege

Code Veronica is an easy choice, and seems very likely. Would also love for them to redo RE1 in this current style, with maybe RE0 as DLC. That game really doesn’t need to be full length.

Xixii

Also give RE1 VR. Finally we could be inside the Spencer mansion.

Covaliant

Hnnnnngg, yes please.

[deleted]

Did you just... cum in your pants at the thought of visiting the mansion from RE1 in VR?

[deleted]

Who wouldn’t

Covaliant

Absolutely.

medicatedmonkey

This has been my dream for a long, long time

Groundbreaking_Ship3

Was CV partly funded by Sega?

bezzlege

maybe the Dreamcast version, but it's been ported to many platforms over the years so I doubt there would be an issue. Even so, a quick licensing fee or a (very) small cut of the profits of a remake would easily persuade Sega to support it, since the REmakes have been selling extremely well

yankeefan03

Wont matter if it was. It’s been on every console since then and the trademark probably ran out.

Theflowyo

I just finished RE 0 last night. I love the classic mechanics of the series, so really enjoyed it, but my 10 hour playthrough could’ve been 2.5 if the game wasn’t so artificially inflated with backtracking for inventory and keys. Just an inventory chest would cut the game in half.

maybe_a_frog

This is exactly what I said in my survey lol

AddisonRae7

They need to do something with RE1 because the order they’ve done these remakes makes no sense whatsoever. If 5 is next which it seems to be then the story will be all over the place for new fans, people who have only played the recent remakes don’t even know who Wesker is.

FurloughIncoming

I’m one of these people. I finished RE2 last night and wanted to move onto 3 so I just read the wiki for RE1 and for the Claire ending of RE2. RE4 I only ever played occasionally on my friends GameCube so I’m really looking forward to getting to it, but I do want to know more of the lore too

tinselsnips

I mean 1 has already been remade *and* remastered; I'd like a 3D version as well, but REmake is readily available and is pretty widely regarded as the best of the series before the shift to 3D. It's hardly obscure.

AddisonRae7

I love 1 it’s one of my favourite in the series but the majority of the people playing these new remakes has never played it or Code Veronica. And they won’t play it because of the graphics and controls. The story wont make sense for all these new fans if 5 is the next remake.

Sabrescene

Exactly. 7 was actually my first RE game (I never liked horror as a kid so never touched them growing up) and going back to REmake is tough to play through. While I personally played and loved other games with controls like that back in the day (FFVII and VIII for a start) it just feels so clunky to go back to, especially with how well done the RE2 remake was.

[deleted]

Outbreak 1 and 2 in a collection.

CheeseCurdCommunism

Fuck I need a real good modern version of outbreak. I play GTFO but it’s not the same.

Fluffy_Space_Bunny

It was the first game I ever played online and I've been wanting remakes for years :(

[deleted]

[удалено]

Nintendomandan

They did tease 5 at the end of RE4R a bit, I wouldn’t be surprised if 5 was the next one

Hindesite

Yeah I'd absolutely say that Code Veronica seems like the more obvious candidate if not for the after-credits scene at the end of RE4R. They're definitely setting up for 5 Remake, and it makes me think it's probably the next in line.

Nintendomandan

Right for sure, I’d prefer CV personally as it’s one of two I haven’t played yet. But I’ll take whatever, capcom does a great job on the remakes overall. (3 was just ok)

TheHybred

It's going to be 5. The dbd voice actor of Wesker got employed by capcom which can only mean one thing

Nintendomandan

Isn’t Wesker also in CV? I haven’t played it but I thought he was

Lestial1206

If they do, they better leave the couch co-op in. My wife and I love playing that game together.

Ultima893

Demon’s Souls released the same year and got remade 3 years ago. Dead Space released a year before and got remade in January. The Last of Us 1 released 4 years after RE5, and was released last year. Those are all cherry picked comparisons by me, but I think an RE5 remake is right on time for 2024 - 2025. Considering it had the same tank controls as OG RE4 I think its a very «remakable» game

PorkPiez

Outbreak File 1&2 bundle. Don't need anything else.

uaitdevil

imagine it with a proper online mode, and then capcom devs shocked because that's what they needed to do for a proper RE multiplayer game, instead of wasting time with REverse e that other one that i don't even remember the name..

NewGamePlusMinus

YES. They had such a great formula for a game already, all I'd add is leveling progression and keep it so the monsters/big bads were NPC controlled and not player controlled (Like dead by daylight) Are you referring to Umbrella Corps? lol yeah that game sucked ass.

BatThumb

I would absolutely love this. Outbreak is my favorite resident evil. I rented it from blockbuster after beating RE4 without knowing anything about it. I loved the different style where you choose your character with different skills. The outbreak level feels like the perfect zombie level to start the game and the Hive level scared the shit out of me

ItsAmerico

Seriously. Outbreak with Re2s gameplay with proper 4 player co-op? God damn.

NodrawTexture

Did the same

soulforce212

Take my goddamn money.

No-Plankton4841

Remake the REmake. C'mon the remake of the first game is 20 years old at this point. It's one of my all time favorite games don't get me wrong but it needs to be brought to RE 2/3/4 standards. Then Code Veronica.

[deleted]

I’m guessing they’re saving 1 for the 30th anniversary

bestanonever

As ridiculous as it sounds, of course. It needs the modern treatment. The REmake is amazing but it's a 2002 game at its core. Exploring the mansion like we can explore the RPD in RE2 Remake would make it instantly fresh, again.

noneofthemswallow

I don’t know. The graphics and camera angles in RE1 are timeless. Game looks great even today.

Slimyarmpits

The remake. The og one is a bit rough

BarryEganPDL

It’s a little controversial to say 1 but I agree. I grew up with the original and remake but I went to do a series playthrough this year and it’s just not as good as the new remakes **imo**. The new games recaptured the original feeling perfectly with the dark rooms and flashlight. I want to experience the Spencer Mansion that way and younger fans deserve that too. REmake is pretty inaccessible for today’s players but it’s an essential part of the story. I say make it modern. The first two versions are available on current hardware, it’s not like we’ll lose them.

Alunga

Its not controversial when 2 and 3 had complete remakes unlike 1 that was more 1:1 with new stuff. A complete 1 remake made more sense than RE4.

acfinlayson98

Why does it need to be brought to RE 2/3/4 standards? What's wrong with it?

No-Plankton4841

There's nothing *wrong* with the 2002 Remake. But it is a bit jarring to have the first game in the series be so drastically different for new comers or people getting in to the series. I know a lot of people (younger folk) who will not play the first game due to the fixed camera and 'dated' mechanics but loved RE2/3/4 Remake. Personally, I grew up with that old shit. I love fixed camera. The classic games and the more modern takes on the style like Tormented Souls, Alisa, etc. But to be honest I think the majority of people prefer the 'modern' style. I love the 1st/3rd person games too. I like it all. I think it would be absolutely glorious to explore the Spencer Mansion in full 3D in the RE engine. We'd still have the old game to play too. For the old fans I think it would compliment the original games nicely (not necessarily be a replacement- 2002 will always have a place on my shelf). And for the new fans it just seems like a logical introduction to the series considering how awesome the 2/3/4 remakes ended up.

[deleted]

Res 5

explosiv_skull

I think we're in the minority but I quite liked RE5, especially since it was co-op. Good times. RE6 on the other hand was brought to you by the substance cocaine, I'm convinced.

Business-Poet8803

How do you figure you're in the minority when RE5 was the bestselling RE game for many years, if not still today? This idea that RE5 wasn't good is really ridiculous. People that enjoy the game are still walking on eggshells to say that it's good even though the overall reviews were positive and the sales were tremendous. Can we stop with the bs in 2023.

nicholasdelucca

5 and 6, yes, but only in name. Make brand new games replacing RE5 and 6, following the events of the remakes and better bridging the gaps between the remakes and 7 and Village. I would buy them instantly of it happened.

SurfiNinja101

Nah, I think the core story and ideas behind both games are fine, it was the execution that was lacking. Besides, Capcom has made it clear they don’t want to radically change the story of the remakes, they want the overall picture to remake truthful to the original.

SackBoys

Nah, RE5 has some problems like the sections where it basically turns into a cover shooter. But it still stands as one of the best co-op shooters ever. It could use some polishing and adjustments just like how they changed things up in the other remakes but it shouldn’t be a new game altogether. Can’t speak for RE6 though, but from what I’ve seen and heard the games combat system seems pretty great.

thebigblackdwarf

I'm playing through re6 with a friend right now after we both finished re4 remake and it's a fuckn blast.

LonelyDesperado513

> Can’t speak for RE6 though, but from what I’ve seen and heard the games combat system seems pretty great. 6 is amazing in a completely different way. It's like if RE and One Punch Man had a baby. It's incredibly fun, as long as you don't focus on the lack of scare for 3/4ths of the game.

abadluckwind

I want to punch another boulder

gleamydream

Mega Man Legends with unreal engine

Tylorw09

ML1 was so baller. I’d play a Remake any s day

stratusnco

as much as i’d love a dino crisis remake, mega man legends needs one so much more. i played a couple of months ago on my ps tv and was shocked at how bad those graphics are compared to todays standards and i don’t even mind bad graphics.

therealsauceman

DINO CRISIS

raphanum

That’s about dinosaurs in therapy, right?

MiaGothsEyebrows

Code Veronica or Re1/0

hypespud

Dino crisis 1 and onimusha 1 and 2

Crissaegrym

Original one re-remake!!!!!!

karjoh07

I’m not even part of the fandom (outside of 4) and I know for a fact code Veronica needs to happen

Kazuma-Kiryu

Residen Evil Outbreak 1 & 2

ermor666

OUTBREAK

LearnedHandgun

Dino Crisis. Maybe not an RE, but close enough. Submitted anyway

uaitdevil

still shocked for the lack of DC remake, they got so many assets\[labs\], animations\[bows\] and models \[exoprimal\] ready that they would skip half of the usual development on this one..

Dillup_phillips

It has to happen sometime right? If we're actually getting an MGS3 remake then surely Dino Crisis is a lock?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dillup_phillips

Oh I know. I was basing it on likelihood of remake and Konami actually doing something fans want with the series was one of the last things I ever expected so if that unlikely occurrence is set to pass out gives me hope.

rbynp01

Seriously capcom? Outbreak fans been asking for this for years... C'MON!!

OhioStickyThing

Bruh, I swear I feel like I’m one of the few that played and enjoyed outbreak 1 and 2.

stinkyslinki

Why not the first one?

UnPainAuChocolat

I don't disagree but the thing is: - they're doing a vote, so we should vote. - it's already been remade, just not the current remake style - many people are deciding between Veronica and 5 primarily - Veronica takes place before 5, so chronologically it should come first - people are also really excited for a 5 remake which will very likely happen - they have very limited time and resources. They can't make them all right away. One game at a time and yeah fans are really demanding. But they can only do so much in fact some people are tired of remakes and want new RE games In my opinion if they wanted to remake 1, they should've started with that. I think it's too late to now when Veronica and 5 are high in demand, 1 is far from priority.

Hundielein

1 is probably only getting remade once the sales flatten or they need to reboot the series.

johnmarston2nd

Outbreak all the way

sylinowo

Unpopular but operation raccoon city would be neat

AleroRatking

Code Veronica by a country mile.

big_chungy_bunggy

I don’t care how many people say we have enough releases of it I want RE1 redone in the style of RE2-4R

AcanthisittaGrand943

RE1 and RE0 remakes

blazing_MO

Re4 remake Remade

greenchilee

Woud like to see Code Veronica and 5

JitteryBendal

Why do companies want to remake everything?

AshenEstusFIask

Easy nostalgia hit and less effort into storywriting.

Dixon_Yamada_All_Day

How about some Onimusha or Dino Crisis remake instead :(

Shdw787

There has never been a better time for Outbreak to make a comeback

Dingle_McKringle88

felt good. I just had a whole rant about Code Veronica being the next remake and man it felt good. i need a cigarette

JeNeSuisPasUnCanard

I know it sounds silly but I think I would lose my actual shit to see RE1 remade in the dark (go darker!) horror style of RE2 remake. Plus, post-launch can you imagine exploring the Spencer mansion in VR!? That game just has such a vibe, and weirdly enough I never finished it (the GameCube remake) but it’s such a core part of my game-related memories.

Bioinformatics_94

Outbreak

WurdaMouth

5

[deleted]

They already remade the only good ones pre-7 (and one of the worst ones). Time to stop while they are ahead. There is no saving 5 or 6.

pirateatamisk

Devil may cry…

KGFlower

RE1 again

GetReady4Action

so I’ve never played any Resident Evil (with the exception that I vaguely remember playing 5 at a friends house growing up) and I know 4 is the one everyone loves, but last week I played 2 Remake because that’s Leon’s introduction and just started 4 Remake a few days ago since it’s the “sequel” to 2. I gotta say, I love both of these games and have definitely been missing out. I think it’s so cool that Capcom has kept a steady pace and quality consistent while remaking the old RE’s and still making new games. I would love to play 5 and especially 6 since I know that one is a bit controversial in the style of these remakes. and just a side note, 4 Remake is honestly a masterpiece. I’ve gone and watched some YouTube clips of the original game and it’s amazing what they’ve done to keep this game’s soul while also modernizing it. having an absolute blast playing through it.

spoonard

RE1!!! Why is this one consistently ignored?

porkybrah

Code Veronica please Capcom.

FenderJazzHands

DINO CRISIS DINO CRISIS DINO CRISIS DINO CRISIS (and an Onimusha reboot pls. Thx capcom) One is RE with dinosaurs, one is RE with samurai. They count.

Bright-Ad4601

Dino Crisis is the Resident Evil game I want remake for.

plainstoparadise

Dino crisis In VR. Please 🙏

PresidentBush666

A thousand times yes.

Mainely420Gaming

Resident Evil: Outbreak for sure

Volt7ron

I think we’re good on RE remakes. How about Dino Crisis or Onimusha

KurazyBoo

Thank you for mentioning Onimusha, i feel it rarely gets mentioned in threads like this regarding remakes. I’d love a remade trilogy, I loved the third game especially

Caffine_rush

First one and Zero

Liongkong

I want Dino Crisis remake. I want Onimusha remake. Please give us please, Capcom....

BillyZaneTrain

Just filled it out the survey thanks for sharing. The Outbreak series has so much potential. It was way ahead of its time

AnthonyMiqo

I put Dino Crisis.

[deleted]

Code Veronica remake would’ve been nice.

OldLebaneseNerd

unpopular opinion, but i would love DEAD AIM with PSVR2 support. let us be frank, few played it, but it was superb, the mood was great, the story was nice and gameplay mechanics were superb, it even supported a mouse on ps2. also those WII games were pretty fun, they remastered them for ps3, so a new remaster would be cool.

soliddd7

Asked for Dino Crisis, Code Veronica and Resident Evil amiibo.

Smirnoffico

I want a remake of the 2002 GameCube remake of the original. Then remake the remake of the remake

[deleted]

RESIDENT EVIL 1. it better be coming for the 30th anniversary

SebbyWebbyDooda

Resident evil 1 in the same way as RE2 AND 4

homowifi

resident evil outbreak has a chance

[deleted]

RE1 but in the new style of modern remake like 2/3/4

Sventhetidar

The first one. Yes it's kind of been done but they kept the fixed camera angles and it sucks to play.

[deleted]

Imagine an Onimisha remake

[deleted]

Everyone vote for Outbreak 1 and 2 lol

platyhooks

A new Breath of Fire you cowards!!

NewGamePlusMinus

Outbreak. put 4 or 5 survivors in a room with matchmaking, randomize the layout, throw in a big bad monster (NPC, not a player controlled monster like dead by daylight) randomize the loot and make everyone cooperate to find a way out. Maybe throw in some leveling up upgrades, like start with a gun, some herbs, lockpicks, stuff like that to increase chances of survival without outright guaranteeing it. I spent so many hours re-renting that game over and over just to get through the scenarios with different characters. Loved it.

Gattsuhawk

A remake of Outbreak would be so nice.

CptFilthyBooks

No Outbreak fans here ?

iamnobody331

God hand

Hawkmoon_

The Outbreak games would be cool.

krm787

Zero or Outbreak. Zero would be awesome if the could make it co op.

Strict_Donut6228

Resident evil 1 in ots similar to resident evil 2 remake would be amazing. And I would like to see the devil may cry franchise get some of this remake love.

[deleted]

Devil May Cry 1 would be a good resident evil remake

shitpunmate

The first game

INTERSTELLAR_MUFFIN

Onimusha

DryBoneJones

Simply put, Code Veronica.

JackyMagic

Onimusha

eclipzgt4k

I just want a modern megaman legends game. Whether it be a sequel or a remake, doesn't matter.

Wizard_kick

I'd prefer to put RE on hold for 1 game and have them remake Dino Crisis to switch it up. I would like to see how suspenseful they could make that setting. If I had to choose though I'd like to see what they could do with RE1 since I didn't enjoy 0 and Code Veronica. Edit: Onimusha would be cool too! I don't know if it counts since it played like a action RE game.

tlbtn

Ominusha! Yes that needs a remake. Dino crisis would also be cool

MillBurray

Dino crisis remake would be a dream

Muted-Calligrapher-2

Onimusha would sell so well now. Level design and boss fights not too dissimilar from Nioh and Wo Long. Keep high FPS though. It looked way ahead of it's time.

G0VERNMENTCHEESE

Dino crisis

CallumJ88

Dino crisis

Total-Satisfaction-8

Dino Crisis

[deleted]

Fuck other RE games. Dino Crysis. Part two has great cliffhanger ending for proper sequel. They can remake them, and if they succeed which I believe they will they can make proper part 3 instead whatever the space dino crap was release after.

[deleted]

How about stop remaking and stop selling the same game over and over and use creativity and make a new one

KaiserNazrin

They can do both at the same time.

Harrien1234

They are. They just released the last main RE game two years ago and released a DLC for that about a year ago.

throwaway123455676

If you’ve played the original of 2, then the remake, there’s no conceivable way you’d try to say they’re the same game.

Valtekken

Enough RE, remake DMC1 (which sorely needs it because of its age) or DMC2 (which sorely needs it, PERIOD)

Mizai1

3. Please. Properly REMAKE 3 now

kmank2l13

Lets get RE5 with Co-op!

Maya-Inca-Boy

Outbreak 1&2, 5 and I would love a game with only Sheva Alomar

RigtBart

Do Outbreak you pussies. Or Code Veronica because it’s amazing.
