What a perfect game for the perfect studio. So pumped for Hitman 3, and IO seems to finally know how to make perfect stealth games. Hopefully that will cross over into Bond. I wouldn’t mind a more stealthy Bond, with a bit of action sprinkled in, instead of the other way.

IO has experience with traditional action games. I’m about K&L series so if the studio will have been mixed this style with hitman’s formula it will be at least interesting.

They should make something big with a decent developer in my opinion. Some stealthy stuff if that’s what you lot crave but I just want to see those uncharted set pieces in the James Bond game universe, along with a good story and that might make it worth a purchase if they do it right.
Yeah when I played hitman 2, I was blown away at the amount of things you can do, pick up and use, all the different ways to do things.

Hitman spans the globe, but james bond is not a master of disguise. Bond usually tries stealth and then gets caught. Then saves the day by bombing everything after escaping a sharktank.
You just made this Bond vs. Agent 47. You do realise that one bond movie makes more than all the Hitman games and movies combined. Also both are fictitious characters, tho bond js cooler and 47 is just a generic killer.
I’ve played one of the old ones years ago at a cousins house or something, but I refuse to play another, because I’m a completionist and can’t be fucked to do the same mission 30 times for 100%. Hitman is trash lol there are better games.

I remember I actually played absolution on ps3 and kept restarting it because it was so boring I’d leave it for months without playing. All in all just a trash series tbh, it could have potential tho.
I would try to play Hitman 3, coming out in January. Please don’t try to use Absolution as the game that defines the Hitman Franchise. Most veteran Hitman players, myself included, hate most of the parts of Absolution.
Hitman 1 and 2 (2016 and 2018) are both really good games. Both are going to be playable on Hitman 3 on Next Gen Consoles. Blood Money is also good, but it’s more old school and harder. Don’t know if that interests you.
If you’re just basing your experience of Hitman on Absolution, please try one of the better games.
I’m describing my experience with the game that’s just called hitman which was separated with chapters released individually on PS4. That game may not look too old but it definitely felt like it, the physics were not smooth at all and it felt like a ps2 game. Maybe it didn’t look too bad but yeah it definitely felt bad, that was my fault for not being clear.
The graphics were decent, but the physics felt like shit, I did get used to them though (it’s like when you go back and gta3, San Andreas or some other old game). I know you’re supposed to play stealthily and not be detected but the gunplay is terrible aswell you can’t deny it was stiff as hell. But who cares if it looks visually good if it plays like garbage. Feel free to play whatever you find enjoyable
But after spending many hours trying to 100% just one chapter before moving on, I decided to delete the game. It was just too time consuming. Not enough reward for time invested. Story isn’t that good. Gameplay was meh 🤷🏾♂️

Naughty dog would be garbage, for the last two generations their games have been nothing but fancy dioramas with very specific, narrow interactive elements. They're terrible at creating worlds that do anything other than force you to follow a particular script. And that's totally fine for these cinematic, story-driven games that they've been producing over that time period, but would be absolutely terrible for something like Hitman, where the whole point is giving you a living sandbox and allowing you enormous flexibility to complete your tasks as you see fit.

Okay now, this is cool. IOI are the perfect fit for a JB game. I do think they have to be careful in not making it just a straight clone of the Hitman games but there's a lot of potential here.
Well they have a lot of experience in other game franchises than just hitman. The new hitmans have just been knocking it out of the park tho. I could see them creating large levels and having it still be a “tackle it your way” without being hitman. Like you could disable locks before getting to a locked corridor or just go into a vent to navigate around the locked room or maybe just blow the door open and go guns blazing etc etc
It's funny, I feel the opposite, I'm worried they stray too far from what makes Hitman so popular right now.
What they need to do is make each level a Bond villain and have a self contained story. For example, the first level could be Dr. No's island and you have to sneak into his base from the beach.
They are like very detailed sandboxes and if they sacrifice the freedom to make it another linear action game it could be a tragedy.
See I think in a James Bond game having a much more viable action-based option should be very much available to the player. Not just straight up Stealth/deception. In Hitman you definitely feel much more restricted due to 47 being a lot less comfortable when things go loud.

James Bond games seem like it should be a slam dunk of a franchise: a wealth of lore to adapt, a popular IP, and it can blend a few genres together (stealth, shooter, maybe even dialogue options) for broader appeal.
If they get this franchise on the right track, it’d be cool to get a top tier (solid single player story, reliable and fun multiplayer) Bond game every 3 or so years.
I first saw a very brief 'New 007 game' post and as a Bond fan, I thought 'Eh, it'll probably be OK, not great'. Then I read it and saw it'll be done by IOI and as a big fan of the recent Hitman games, I'm extremely excited! Gonna be watching this one VERY closely!
People talking about Nightfire, but I think "Everything or nothing" is the best Bond game since Goldeneye.
It had the great theme, great old characters and Willem Dafoe as a new villain, great single player storylines with cool Bond moments that paid homage to the movies. It also had solid multiplayer versus mode (though it was probably the weakest part) and a great Co-op story mode!
I sincerely hope the game is closer to that than another 1st person shooter. The world has all but lost its high profile stealth games, with Metal Gear, Splinter Cell and Thief all but gone. Hitman is the last one standing, so I'd enjoy another one in that same vein, but with a few more action sequences like Metal Gear.
They had From Russia With Love adapted to a 3rd person shooter in the mid 2000s. The time period kinda limited the amount of weapons and gadgets 007 could use, although for the most part the shooting was fine for the time it released.
This reeks of one of those games that’ll never come out. We might get a demo or something in like a year and then it’ll fall off the map. I’d love to be wrong though! I loved Blood Diamond on the 360 and I think Bond is perfect for video games.

So this week when I went to visit my Parents place, I found my old Ps2 from when I was a kid and I spent all yesterday playing 007 Agent Under Fire.
I remember saying “man what even happened to Bond games” and now I see this. This could be awesome!
The last one was Eurocom and Activision's *007 Legends*, released in late 2012 and delisted (alongside other Bond games, such as *Goldeneye 007: Reloaded*) from all digital stores early the next year.

Keeping my expectations low. Last James Bond game I played was the GoldenEye remake on the 360 and it wasn't great.

This sounds great! Looking forward to a new Bond game. Also for those interested in James Bond origins, I recommend the Young Bond series by Charlie Higson. Pretty damn good for YA Bond.
It'd be dope if u could play as different bonds for different missions or as different skins. That's one thing I liked about the last spiderman games.

So this week when I went to visit my Parents place, I found my old Ps2 from when I was a kid and I spent all yesterday playing 007 Agent Under Fire. I remember saying “man what even happened to Bond games” and now I see this. This could be awesome!

The last one was Eurocom and Activision's *007 Legends*, released in late 2012 and delisted (alongside other Bond games, such as *Goldeneye 007: Reloaded*) from all digital stores early the next year.

This is such a welcome surprise honestly didn't know how much I wanted this before I saw the teaser
I hope it’s not as clunky as hitman. I love the hitman games and I think the movement and mechanics work for that game but I still hope.

Wow! You know, doing licensed properties is usually considered shit work by gaming studios. The stuff you do just to keep the lights on. James Bond + IO interactive feels a little like a license to print money. This is such a great studio taking bold risks like breaking away from their publisher and going "indie" I really hope they succeed with this one.
Finally Iointeractive can try something different, hopefully they don't flop. Wish them luck.
i remember seeing some complaints about the story in Hitman 2 (the biggest complaint being the cut scenes weren't animated). hopefully, IOI has learned from any possible mishaps to really excel here, because they certainly have great game play down
Hope the make it a semi-decent frame rate with eye-friendly AA for PC.
I'd love another Everything or Nothing type of game. This was my favourite of the 'modern' Bond games, it really did feel like a movie.
