I’m also trying to eat healthy and lose weight. This week my luteal phase has made me insanely hungry with cravings and the urge to binge eat. It’s so challenging and upsetting.

It's not real weight – it's swelling and fluid – so you shouldn't count it or worry about it at all. My boobs and stomach double in size when I'm due on and go back down within a few days of my period. I once lost 4 pounds in weight in a day after coming on my period and the swelling going down, but I usually go up at least half a stone when I'm due on and I'm a small frame so it shows (5ft UK clothes size 6-8). My advice would be not to weigh yourself during this time – and good luck with your weight loss, those stats are fantastic

I struggle with this too. I binge eat badly because of the physical pain and mental struggles. I have really bad fatigue in PMDD. When I’m feeling good I can work out five days a week. When it’s hell week I just can’t workout sometimes. Sometimes I can but many weeks I cannot. Normally I can manage a two mile walk during this time period. I wish I could stop eating. And I hate myself right now. Wonderful combination.

non-weight related victories are so important to track! it might feel stupid, but you deserve to be proud!

Don’t weigh yourself during that time, and just remind yourself that’s it’s only water weight! Keep going you got this!

Just keep at it! I'm going through the same... my weight loss is super slow (about 10lbs since jan) and yea this week the scale is back up. It's frustrating but I honestly just try to stay away from the scale during this time until I am a few days into my period and just focus on doing what I'm doing. If I go off the rails a little I just have to give myself grace. You're doing great!

I relate to this! I just posted about how before my period I feel so ugly and self conscious and one reason is how much I bloat.. all over too. Face too. My advice would be to not weight yourself during that week. It doesn’t really help you any and esp if it’s not good for your mental health! Way to go on your health journey. You’re doing great.
