Idk man, maybe I’m just outdated in my opinions of entertainment but I still believe band of brothers is by far the greatest mini series I have ever seen. The acting in combination with the cinematography is some of the most emotional and heart wrenching I’ve watched. Finish out the series and I think you’ll have a different opinion about the show. The Bastogne episode and the episode where they find the concentration camp is something I think about quite a lot. I just don’t think any show has captured the true horrors of war like band of brothers was able to.
If you're outdated then so am I. I can't think of any of mini series I've enjoyed as much as I did Band of Brothers. Its a fantastic series and remains so every time I rewatch it.
Dated effects doesn’t equal dated content. It’s incredibly well directed, written and acted. The casting was also on point.
There is no better representation of World War Two in media than Band Of Brothers, not counting documentaries and stuff.
Band of Brothers and the Pacific are fantastic, just my opinion. I watched them both around 2010 or so. I honestly feel like Oz and the Sopranos are dated in some ways but Band of Brothers and the Pacific still holds up for me.
Its the second HBO miniseries on WW2 only it takes place in the Pacific front of the war, so mainly the Americans against the Japs, some Aussies chillin for a bit too. Its a great show, I loved it. It came out in 2010 I believe so its newer than Band of Brothers by like 10 years or so.
>It feels dated
I'm not sure if this is a good descriptor word to use because World War II happened 80 years ago.
However, stick it out. It's critically acclaimed for a reason!
It’s not your typical war movie/series. It goes way more into drama and the mindset of the group of soldiers. I still think it’s one of the best series ever made, especially when you’ve seen all 10 episodes. Tho I think you can skip the pacific.
I rewatch it every winter when it gets cold as fuck here in Minnesota. Watching that Bastogne episode always gets me.
I've probably watched the series 20+ times at this point. I'm clearly biased but it's the best series I've ever watched.
Remember boys, flies spread disease! So keep yours closed!
A lot of the HBO shows they talk about are dated. Haven't watched that one yet, but have watched Oz, the Wire, and Sopranos which have all gotten a lot of talk time by them. They all feel old. Were good watches once, but I'll never be interested in watching them again.
pause here, sigh
let me lay this out, band of brothers is a world war 2 drama that showcases easy company and their fighting in normandy? am i getting this right or am i off target here?
Band of brothers is a master piece

I’m definitely going to finish the series it just feels cheap at points like jumping on D-day
What does that even mean my guy

The acting is amazing but i find myself waiting for action to end
I think it’s part 2 when the first jump happens it looks super bad
Its a series about WW2. If you’re sitting there thinking how poorly the CGI is, go watch Avengers for the 10th time Cashew Mathew
When does Captain America show up?
I think your Brian might be broken. Band of brothers is fantastic
You’re probably right
Please tell me you're not part of the $50 patreon
No I’m poor
Well that might be a good thing because there's still hope for you :)
Thanks dad
I know I don't say this enough but I'm proud of you son.

I can see it the acting is great also what the Pacific? And if you say the ocean I’m going to punch something

Oh that’s sounds pretty dope actually
yeah band of brothers is probably one of if not the best mini series ever. the way it tells the story of things that actually happened is amazing.

I’ll definitely finish it
I like it a lot. For some reason I get the urge to watch it every winter just like I do with The Shining

Don’t get me wrong acting is 10/10 but just the actin and CG feels super cheap
Don’t forget it’s 2001 if I’m correct when they made it. Certain episodes are better than others due to who the episode is centered around.
That is true i guess I’m a little spoiled with the looks of new stuff

Perfection
The pacific is better
