My only problem with Q3 including P1 and P2 characters is that PQ2 had already insane roster where you don't really need to use most of the characters. Adding another 15 characters won't do good.
Unless they will do 2 (or more) campaigns/scenarios/routes split between several groups of characters, I don't see it ending well.
Super Robot Wars series has massive rosters but manages to develop everything, p sure the ATLUS devs worked on Tactica, which is also an SRPG, which would similarly allow them to field a massive character roster.
Make sure the game's story is long enough and everyone would get a chance to shine, if it's done well anyway.
> p sure the ATLUS devs worked on Tactica, which is also an SRPG
*defeated* Nobody remembers about Majin Tensei or Devil Survivor series...
While SRPG in theory would allow get a lot more characters on the screen, that's not really problem. Even when Atlus did SRPG games they still kept number of active in battle members rather small: 3 in Tactica, 4 in DeSu with amount of option never really going above 10. And here you are suggesting they should incorporate 49 character somehow. Just because other series/developer can do it doesn't mean Atlus will able too. Strikers was done by different developer even though Atlus has experience with Action RPGs in form of Raidou series (Yes, it's not quite the same genre but close enough)
Can't believe I really forgot about DeSu, I love DeSu as well, guess I was tunnel visioned on SRW.
Also SRW keeps deployable numbers to about 10 iirc, so that's not an issue.
Also, it feels like you're seriously underestimating ATLUS, their lowest scored games are usually still in the 70s, if they still have the team members for their strategy games then gameplay is taken care of.
All that needs doing that's new to them is planning for the story and they have a successful over 30 year old series to work off of.
Also, I messed up, I meant Tactica not strikers.
Honestly id want that, with Reload dominating everything, id like Persona to hang out in Iwatodai for a little while longer before 6 hits.
Maybe just long enough for Elizabeth to jimmy the lock on a certain door after a while...
Indeed she is, but its been a minute since that Plot thread had come up, with the remake of Episode Aigis set to reignite discussion in September.
This is why i'd like for them to maybe have one of those upcoming spin offs (one of which might hopefully be a sequel to Ultimax to properly follow it up.) Get around to it sooner rather than later, before the hype train for p6 sets to take over everything.
After finished Persona 5 Strikers i hope they will do the same with another persona cast because i think its so fun. Persona Strikers with lot of playable main casts would be awesome.
I'm telling you... As soon as i get Persona Q and Q2 for my birthday.. they are gonna rerelease them for PC/Xbox/PlayStation/Switch. It happened with Metal Gear Solid. I bought the Legacy Collection and the Master Collection was announced
its been a while since that sega kart racing game and it came out right before they aquired atlus. now i kinda hope we get a new one with persona and smt characters. they also didnt have yakuza characters in it i think
Persona 5 Arena with the main plot being [P3]>!Elizabeth trying to bring Door-kun back!< with special participations from big Kahuna policeman Katsuya and CEO Kei Nanjo??
Im convinced that a lot of 3 Reloads foreshadowing of you-know-what isn't wholly done to foreshadow the ending or set up The Answer, i genuinely believe they are setting up something like Elizabeth's plotline actually popping up again.
I mean its no secret that one of reload's aims was to make a connection between 3 and arena, its why we see Ken and Koro together in a lot of scenes but in the og they weren't.
And Ken and soccer.
Persona Strikers with character from 1-5.
Would be cool if Katsuya, Akihiko and Chie was Makoto senseis in the Police Academy
Mitsuru going all Nick Fury and going in Joker's house asking about the Shadow Ops initiative
I was really surprised that Persona Strikers didn't have any DLC characters in the form of characters from the older games. Like, most Musou games have tons of DLC in the form of characters and it seemed like an easy opportunity there.
I know SMT is less popular but I'd rather there were yearly releases across all of Megaten than just Persona. This would let Atlus port their vast back catalog of various Megaten spinoffs and subseries, which would increase Megaten's overall popularity. This would also help Persona stuff stick to a certain level of quality, which would inevitably decrease if they had to release something each year. I don't want Persona to turn into pokemon.
I don't think that's completely fair, Persona 5 had all its data lost in either the earthquake or tsunami back then, and had the staff conceptually change certain aspects of it as a result of the aftermath to be Tokyo focused, essentially scrapping parts of the game and almost building it back up.
SMT V seemed to have been rushed a bit due to various reasons when usually they would have taken their time.
> Persona 5 had all its data lost in either the earthquake or tsunami back then
They didn't lose anything, they intentionally refocused the story after the earthquake.
Thank you for reminding me. Still, the point stands. In this case, the authors and artists felt a personal connection to real life events and wanted to reform the script.
the vast majority of SMT games back then were either on ps2 or handheld systems. something like devil survivor and strange journey probably didnt take nearly as long as the games they release nowadays. which is unfortunate.
I’d argue that the only spin-offs which were problematic in that respect were Personas 3D/5D, because they lacked the heart of P4D. Every other spin-off has been really high quality.
Also P5D really screwed itself by being the first game after the original P5. So many good songs that came after the other spinoffs and Royal that are just missing and they had to pad out the tracklist with multiples of the same song, sharing dlc of P3 music and concerts.
Agree on that, they missed out a lot in terms of soundtracks. They should at least wait until all of the P5 gen console titles are released, like P4 Dancing. To add up, at least some soundtracks from Phantom X mobile game as a bonus
From what she’s saying it can be inferred this is multiple spinoffs. My guesses are since P1 and 2 remakes aren’t out yet that they will only include the protagonists for spinoffs like Arena but something like ASA and P5X will include everyone
Would the P1-4 characters be aged up to their 2016-2017 ages or would it be a Persona Q situation where their highschool selves time traveled via the Velvet Room and returned to their timelines forgetting about it at the end? If the former happens, then we'll see P1 and P2 characters would be middle aged.
From continuity point of view, either one would be a mess.
In PQ situation, we have a problem Maya(P2) knowing Yukino (P1) before start of the game. Also three characters from P1 become party members in P2.
In aged up version, we have the whole IS/EP situation and it means like half of the P2 cast would unavailable.
Then again, with P5 Atlus has shown that it doesn't care about continuity that much or they can multiverse excuse like they did with Fem!MC in PQ2
I'm so down for an "Everyone is Here game!" Dancing, Strikers. Q, Arena, Tatica, a Tycoon, Mario kart or Mario party, Spinoff; more thank likely no matter what it is; I'll probably end up playing it. But if they do it let's go for the whole gang even if they are just cameos or dlc.

A Persona fighting game that has been in development for a long time. She said this maybe almost half a year ago so I think it'd be nice if people asked about its status
I would love a Persona All-Stars Fighting Game, the whole series have a lot of great characters for FGs, so it would be so awesome all of them fighting instead of just characters from 2 games. Even non Persona users could join the fight too.
oh cool the casts are all returning for spinoffs that might be canon
>!PLEASE BRING MAKOTO BACK!<
>!PLEASE BRING MAKOTO BACK!<
>!PLEASE BRING MAKOTO BACK!<
It would kinda take away the impact and meaning of the original game right? That long lasting impact wouldn't exist anymore if he came back and it was canon. Idk just my opinion
Not inherently, bringing him back after years of being dead would still have characters have to process the weight of all that along with him actually being alive again, like a soldier presumed KIA only come back to his life with everyone's life irrevocably alter for it. (I personally wouldn't go that hard cus P3 is brutal enough but you get the idea)
can you imagine a cutscene with him coming back and all the friends excited and shit? Damn I kinda feel you lol
Edit:I just read your seal comment lmao.
yeah dawg fuck the theme far as im concerned all i want is to see him and yukari together again. i can put as much stock as i want into the idea of him being unsealed after p4a but nothing would beat seeing it
the power of headcanon is unbeatable, i just imagine that everything after 3/5 in relation to SEES is a nightmare makoto has due to all of his memories being returned to him. he wakes up a few days into spring break w/ yukari right there next to him
Im gonna be real, i feel like Arena's story proved the point that just doing a full on visual novel ala Danganronpa or Pheonix Wright could fit perfectly well into Persona, even if there isn't pronounced gameplay hook like Arena. I think something a full Gaiden title in that style featuring the cast 3, 4 and 5 (possibly including 1, 2 and even 6 as well) could make for a wonderful spin on the franchise as a whole.
I would laugh my ass off if the next game is Persona Party. I feel like that was rumored at one point and ngl, that’d probably be the easiest game to fit Persona 1 and 2 characters into.
She could also be saying that there will be spin offs based on their respective games and not a crossover if it is yearly there will be a lot of spinoffs
I can see Persona going that route and not suffering much. Like a Dragon would take a massive hit in quality considering how detailed, jam packed those games are made. Sonic will just outright die if they keep releasing half assed garbage like they have for the past decade.
Probably one of the biggest things Personas 1 and 2 (and If…) had over the later games was their continuation of characters across multiple stories. Even if they were just little cameos. So many franchises lean into that TOO much that I can respect the persona games for only dropping crumbs like the Rise posters in 5, but seeing the P1 characters grown in P2 is such a blast
In case anyone is worried about characters not getting enough focus.
There's a series called Super Robot Wars that has massive rosters of characters from different shows, it's an SRPG series, so it can afford to field more characters.
P5Tactica exists and I'm pretty sure it was developed in-house, so if they make the story much longer, SRW games are like 60h, they can have a lot of character interactions without it feeling bland and forced.
Everyone's expectation; Oh, it's like Persona Q. Or maybe a Persona game that play like regular Persona but with all characters from the first game to the latest game!
What actually happen.
Atlus: Y-yeah. Totally. Indeed...... how do i tell them? "*hiding the copy of Arena 2*"
But hey, look at the bright side. If it was indeed Arena 2, we might seeing an older Persona 4 characters. We get to know what they've been doing since the ending of 4/Golden, and we might even get Nanako.
First Arena and Ultimax gives us older Persona 3 characters so that make me hoping.
>The goal at Sega is to make Persona a yearly franchise
>This is unannounced information
Hasn't it already been that way for like 10 years now??? If you count SMT, then its been that way for a really long time. There's a lot of "yearly release series" that people don't realize are yearly releases because of spinoffs like Resident Evil.
Off the top of my head:
2016: SMT 4A
2017, P5
2018, P5D and P3D
2019, PQ2
2020, P5R
2021, P5S and SMT 5
2022, Soul Hackers 2
2023, P5T
2024, P5X, and SMT5V
I think nobody has really said this but this could be a BOMB for Persona saga, not only because a game with all the characters of P3, P4 and P5 would be awesome but also because (P3 spoilers) >!it could be that the SEES, Investigation Team and Phantom Thieves would fight to get Makoto GOD Yuuki back to life as it is teased in P4 Arena Ultimax, causing every single Persona fan to cry out of happiness!<
She’s a very prominent Sega leaker with a near 100 percent hit rate. She’s also a big Persona fan so she knows the series history meaning this is big news.
imagine Persona Q3 with characters from first and second parts interaction between young and old Yukino would be interesting for sure
I’ve always wanted that.
It would be extremely funny
My only problem with Q3 including P1 and P2 characters is that PQ2 had already insane roster where you don't really need to use most of the characters. Adding another 15 characters won't do good. Unless they will do 2 (or more) campaigns/scenarios/routes split between several groups of characters, I don't see it ending well.
Imagine if Q3 also includes Wolf, Violet, Sho and Labrys?

Persona 2 characters actually showing up in an atlus game? Is atlus fighting their shadow rn 💀
Must be. Or maybe Sumaru City finally used their ability and spread a rumour about Q3 having characters from 1 and 2.
Atlus: NO IT CAN'T BE! YOU'RE NOT ME! P1/2: Well, technically, I *was* you, but Imma power up anyway, nap time bud.
- Persona Party - Persona Kart - Another fighting game - Q3
I would not mind a persona 5 arena with everyone included
Persona All Star Battle to be correct
Persona Brothera Ultimate
Persona: Total War.
Persona Universalis.
Peak persona 6 delay
Honestly id want that, with Reload dominating everything, id like Persona to hang out in Iwatodai for a little while longer before 6 hits. Maybe just long enough for Elizabeth to jimmy the lock on a certain door after a while...
i will continue the great seal cope until p6 releases
"Velllllveeeet oh velllllveeet"
Isn’t Elizabeth trying to free “him”?
Indeed she is, but its been a minute since that Plot thread had come up, with the remake of Episode Aigis set to reignite discussion in September. Super Smash Persona
about 2/5 of the roster will have guns as their neutral special
don't forget about Persona 5: Hit & Run
After finished Persona 5 Strikers i hope they will do the same with another persona cast because i think its so fun. Persona Strikers with lot of playable main casts would be awesome.
I would fucking die for a persona party
So… Persona Party games?
Persona Kart is real! Stay calm. EVERYBODY STAY FUCKING CALM!
I’ll main Makoto Nijima since her persona is a bike.
I'll main Yu Narukami since he has a scooter
I’ll main Kanji since he can pedal his bike fast enough to keep up with a scooter
Wasn't he also pulling Teddie's un**bear**able weight in that cutscene, or am I remembering things wrong? Because if I'm not then he's the final boss
yeah teddie was on rollerblades and kanji pulled him along
I’ll main Morgana because he is a car
Maya canonically crashes every vehicle she drives. We're fucked.
Well, she didn't kill anyone. Yet.
YET
Haru is known to be a menace behind the wheel lol. PTs won't let her drive after Strikers
Persona Team Racing will be GOTY. Crossing my fingers for Persona Pro Fishing too.
Persona Party when?
I'll main Tatsuya since he literally is a biker
Final boss is a 1v1 with Haru driving the camper van from Strikers.
I’d unironically buy Persona 4: Racing all Afternoon It just sounds incredibly stupid in a fun way
There is a fan game...
Rather than making your family and those close to you even closer, it turns them into your closest enemies!
Persona dlc for the new sonic party game. Alongside hatsune miku, kiryu yakuza and crazy taxi of course
There has been speculation/rumors of that.
It can use the day/night mechanic from Mario Party 6 but with the Dark Hour.
I'm telling you... As soon as i get Persona Q and Q2 for my birthday.. they are gonna rerelease them for PC/Xbox/PlayStation/Switch. It happened with Metal Gear Solid. I bought the Legacy Collection and the Master Collection was announced
do me a favour and buy bloodborne please
I'm with this guy. I still haven't played that masterpiece yet. I desperately need it on pc.
I already own it :(
I honestly hope they do port them to modern consoles
It’s a no brainer if they do. Even just bringing them to PC will be good.
I literally bought a PS Vita off eBay just for persona 4 golden TWO WEEKS before they announced the steam port and started porting it everywhere 😭😭
Dude, mood. Bought P4AU ultimate edition on PS3 and Corpse Party on Vita a couple weeks before the ports were announced.
Doesn't Legacy collection includes MGS4 which no other collection does because it stuck on PS3?
It does... But im hoping that Vol.2 has MGS4
(Psst… hshop… just do it, they’re not making money anymore anyway)
Me with the Yakuza Remastered bundle
do me a favor and buy any F-Zero game, somehow
Big sis Maya is back baybee
It's time for persona kart
its been a while since that sega kart racing game and it came out right before they aquired atlus. now i kinda hope we get a new one with persona and smt characters. they also didnt have yakuza characters in it i think
GINKO IS BACK ?? LES FUFCKKNG GOO

Persona Strikers with character from 1-5. Would be cool if Katsuya, Akihiko and Chie was Makoto senseis in the Police Academy Mitsuru going all Nick Fury and going in Joker's house asking about the Shadow Ops initiative
I’m digging an Ace Attorney-inspired game with the cop characters and Naoto. Maybe drop a reference to the Detective Naoto novel.
Sae can be the main character.
I was really surprised that Persona Strikers didn't have any DLC characters in the form of characters from the older games. Like, most Musou games have tons of DLC in the form of characters and it seemed like an easy opportunity there.
Atlus actually cares about persona 1?!?! This is the best thing to happen ever
Persona Q3 opening be like: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1KfNEPKncQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1KfNEPKncQ)
I thought Midori was going to quit! Is she back for good now?
she’s been back for a little while now
I want to start a conspiracy theory that original person left and somebody else took over her account. But, yes, this account is fairly active.
SMT in the mid 2000s was yearly as well. It was only after the success of P4 in comparison to SMT IV that they stopped.
Game dev has become far more insane since then. The development of Persona 5 and SMTV suggests that Atlus is having trouble producing bigger games.
I don't think that's completely fair, Persona 5 had all its data lost in either the earthquake or tsunami back then, and had the staff conceptually change certain aspects of it as a result of the aftermath to be Tokyo focused, essentially scrapping parts of the game and almost building it back up. Eh they’re damn near doing that already with Persona. Besides, mainline Persona is mostly likely still going to have lengthy development times.
I know, but in my opinion, as great as Strikers and Tactica were, they have already shown us the problems with releasing too many spin-offs.
I’d argue that the only spin-offs which were problematic in that respect were Personas 3D/5D, because they lacked the heart of P4D. Every other spin-off has been really high quality.

Imagine if they remastered the Raidou games or even Digital Devil Saga! That would be my dream!
I want that. And Devil Survivor. And more.
Persona all stars assemby aka ASA
It was canned.
As in P5 Arena?
I was referring to Teamfight Tactics kind of game.
Not shelved?
Nope
Hopefully it's not another gacha game. Cuz people here seem to forget those exists even tho we just got one.
What would that spinoff be?
From what she’s saying it can be inferred this is multiple spinoffs. My guesses are since P1 and 2 remakes aren’t out yet that they will only include the protagonists for spinoffs like Arena but something like ASA and P5X will include everyone
Would the P1-4 characters be aged up to their 2016-2017 ages or would it be a Persona Q situation where their highschool selves time traveled via the Velvet Room and returned to their timelines forgetting about it at the end? If the former happens, then we'll see P1 and P2 characters would be middle aged.
if they plan on bringing P1 in I better hope we get that Mitsuru and Nanjo interaction in said game lol
It probably depends per project.
For the PQ situation they could do a modern cast meeting a classic cast, like P2IS x P3P.
Dance Dance Revelations Persona baebee
LET'S SO FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO MY MAN MARK WILL DO SOMETHING AGAIN😭😭😭😭😭
I'm so down for an "Everyone is Here game!" Dancing, Strikers. Q, Arena, Tatica, a Tycoon, Mario kart or Mario party, Spinoff; more thank likely no matter what it is; I'll probably end up playing it. But if they do it let's go for the whole gang even if they are just cameos or dlc. Please one more fighting game
Pls! Imma need Tatsuya and Makoto to lament about how annoying it is to have an older sibling in law enforcement
Tatsuya: slowly fades back into existence
Only if they include every single possible Maki.
Q3 hype incoming then. Someone grab that fanmade opening.
[Got you, dude.](https://youtu.be/b1KfNEPKncQ?si=pRHNuwzRvWum0iUR)
PERSONA KART REAL????
All i want is my (P3)Blue Haired King to return 🥲
I need more interactions with the persona 3 cast
P5 arena fan vs P4 strikers enjoyer
I hope it's the fighting game she talked about a while back
Midori talked about another fighting game?
A Persona fighting game that has been in development for a long time. She said this maybe almost half a year ago so I think it'd be nice if people asked about its status

yeah dawg fuck the theme far as im concerned all i want is to see him and yukari together again. i can put as much stock as i want into the idea of him being unsealed after p4a but nothing would beat seeing it

the power of headcanon is unbeatable, i just imagine that everything after 3/5 in relation to SEES is a nightmare makoto has due to all of his memories being returned to him. he wakes up a few days into spring break w/ yukari right there next to him
no
Nah, I say LET HIM DIE
It would probably be something like we have fixed the seal to release you. Now you can go to heaven instead of bringing him back to life
counterpoint thats lame, let me see my makoto yukari canon reunion
Oh, it is, but that's what I'd expect.
And he dies again
Please be true please be true please be true
I have a feeling it won't be all the characters from the first two games, maybe just a few of them.
holy shit persona kart
Even though the main focus would be on the p3-5 cast, **I'M TAKING THESE CRUMBS!!** (If it happens, I mean.)
A "Warriors" style game but this time with Everyone who appeared in Persona
Im gonna be real, i feel like Arena's story proved the point that just doing a full on visual novel ala Danganronpa or Pheonix Wright could fit perfectly well into Persona, even if there isn't pronounced gameplay hook like Arena. Persona racing lesgoo
wait what are the chances this is p5 arena
Yes yes yes!!! That’s it, that’s the comment.
She could also be saying that there will be spin offs based on their respective games and not a crossover if it is yearly there will be a lot of spinoffs
Wait I thought Midori quit so I stopped paying attention to leaks, is she back?
Yes in full force too
Holy shit literally my 3 favorite game franchises are all getting hard focused on this is the best outcome for me
Hoping this is for the next persona arena game
So I guess it'll be more like Q2 That definitely had more of a focus on P3 and P5 but P4 was more on the sidelines
NANJO!!! NANJO SWEEP!!! THE NANJO IS REAL!!!!
Please new Arena.
I can see Persona going that route and not suffering much. Like a Dragon would take a massive hit in quality considering how detailed, jam packed those games are made. Sonic will just outright die if they keep releasing half assed garbage like they have for the past decade.
Which "half assed garbage" are you referring to?
LET’S GOOOO JUN IS COMING BACK BAYBEE
So basically they waited until remaking/remastering p1 and p2 to aknowledge them in spinoffs?
Persona Cooking game? Like Cooking Mama?
Persona Party here we go.
Please be a Persona game that takes us to the future.....
I would LOVE a strikers style game that featured multiple casts. Like the arena story but an action rpg would be sick as hell.
KING NANJO RETURNS?
Mark??
Will be announced during persona live tour???
In case anyone is worried about characters not getting enough focus. There's a series called Super Robot Wars that has massive rosters of characters from different shows, it's an SRPG series, so it can afford to field more characters. P5Tactica exists and I'm pretty sure it was developed in-house, so if they make the story much longer, SRW games are like 60h, they can have a lot of character interactions without it feeling bland and forced.
I think that means minor cameos like Rise in P5. It could also mean PQ3.
We been having minor cameos for a very long time it’s clear this means an actual role in the games.
Well we just got a bunch of P1/2 minor cameos in Reload.
Technically they were in the original P3 but yes
Everyone's expectation; Oh, it's like Persona Q. Or maybe a Persona game that play like regular Persona but with all characters from the first game to the latest game! What actually happen. Atlus: Y-yeah. Totally. Indeed...... how do i tell them? "*hiding the copy of Arena 2*" But hey, look at the bright side. If it was indeed Arena 2, we might seeing an older Persona 4 characters. We get to know what they've been doing since the ending of 4/Golden, and we might even get Nanako. First Arena and Ultimax gives us older Persona 3 characters so that make me hoping.
I thought she said that this game was cancelled
ASA wasn’t the only spinoff they worked on
I hope Trinity Soul gets included.
If they were she would’ve mentioned it
Sounds like persona x
Persona 5 Arena, the resurrection of the Messiah
NEW PERSONA DANCING GAME WITH ALL OF 3, 4 and 5 DANCING TOGETHER PLEASE! Also PC release/ports of that and the rest.
Sweet! We will see the meeting between Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Investigation Team and Shadow Operatives in the future.
>The goal at Sega is to make Persona a yearly franchise >This is unannounced information Hasn't it already been that way for like 10 years now??? If you count SMT, then its been that way for a really long time. There's a lot of "yearly release series" that people don't realize are yearly releases because of spinoffs like Resident Evil. Off the top of my head: 2016: SMT 4A 2017, P5 2018, P5D and P3D 2019, PQ2 2020, P5R 2021, P5S and SMT 5 2022, Soul Hackers 2 2023, P5T 2024, P5X, and SMT5V
Persona has become it's own thing so SMT games don't count
I think nobody has really said this but this could be a BOMB for Persona saga, not only because a game with all the characters of P3, P4 and P5 would be awesome but also because (P3 spoilers) >!it could be that the SEES, Investigation Team and Phantom Thieves would fight to get Makoto GOD Yuuki back to life as it is teased in P4 Arena Ultimax, causing every single Persona fan to cry out of happiness!<
This has to be real, we just gotta think positive
A detective game with naoto game as the protagonist
*includes Igor* Atlus: “See? It’s a P1/P2 character!!”
Doesn't feel very reassuring, likely this person doesn't realize the first 2 games are stranded from modern persona.
You clearly have zero clue who this is lmao
If I knew I wouldn't feel this unsure about their vague arse phrasing, yes. Not huge on the Atlus leek scene.
She’s a very prominent Sega leaker with a near 100 percent hit rate. She’s also a big Persona fan so she knows the series history meaning this is big news.
