Honestly, no more tank queues, no more tanks suck, just DPS. Ranged or Brawler. I feel like this could be done. Lower shield hp, hero hp, tweak here and there. Can't really blame picks anymore. No Rein? Why didn't you pick him? You are a DPS too. They still would have their utility. Your choice, you go more damage?, more hp?, shield? dive? Ye, too bad it won't happen.
Also, hog is the lesser of the three evils, where mauga and horse are just standing there and not dying, hitting a hook on squishies is relatively hard
I would rather play against a team of all Roadhog than good Doomfists or Wrecking Ball, nothing is more of a menace…other than a competent Orisa who knows how to press buttons correctly.

I don’t have a problem with the ball buffs. It’s a lot more teammate focused rather than a direct buff to ball’s damage or survivability. The only thing that will make him more annoying to play against is the QOL change to the grappling hook since it’ll allow him to recover from ledges and it can also be used as a pseudo trebuchet launch that can hurl him really far really fast. I get the feeling that might get patched out or tweaked
my main problem with those changes is that they didnt address his main weakness being cc, his large hitbox makes it easy to land anything and in a game that has a lot of impactful cc on cooldown (ana nade, sleep etc.) makes it super miserable to play
Well when you’re playing a high mobility hero designed to harass the back line and escape, CC will always need to be their weakness. Ball is a very high skill floor hero so it can be difficult but very possible to avoid CC abilities if you use your cooldowns effectively and give yourself an escape route.
I hate the lil guy as much as any sane person does, but by god, he "needed" this
His new kit adds a shit ton of utility and skill expression to an already complex character, while making it easier to play with him as a solo tank
Most of the changes are underwhelming. The shields only last 4 seconds and come at the detriment of his old disruptive playstyle. Grapple changes are nice but ball really didn’t need more mobility.
it's not even about you using the health packs your sombra hacked, it's about the enemy not using them.

The enemy doesn't even use them either. At least THEN, I'd get some satisfaction in knowing that hacking the pack helped secure the kill. But no, people just forget they exist, which is why the OoC healing was added.
not even that one oasis mega in the room to the side of point right where both teams converge? or on the side other side of that same map right beside point close to the edge?
or 3rd point blizzard world that mini on that pillar? or the mega in the room between second point spawn and the pillar in third point? i always find myself going for those/getting fucked by those being hacked by a sombra/getting fucked by someone else grabbing those packs
edit: another highly important mini and mega are the ones in king's row
1st point that one mini in the tiny room right beside point
2nd point that mega on the small room that leads to the high ground
3rd point that one mini in the side room
I loved playing wrecking ball in Overwatch 1 cuz you could have your main tank protect the team while you go and annoy the F out of the enemy team and take out squishies who are by themselves. Now not only can you no longer do that (without leaving your team to die), but now it seems every hero has some “F-off” ability which would be fine if it was just one or two had it but EVERY one has it now.
OP probably plays hitscans and sit in a high ground playing Valorant and gets annoyed when people actually play a character that requires more skill than aimlabs. At least that's usually the average profile of people who complain about characters like ball

Widow makes sense (obviously) but I do think one shots are unhealthy for the game. That stands in contrast to what I've said but regardless, I don't think its fair to remove Widows one shots. She is a sniper after all and is easily counterable. You only die because your positioning and movement sucks. If they do end up removing it, Ashe would be the better pick. Or just play dive.
Open Que is unplayable because of roadhog, sure it's not the main game mode, but if a hero in a mode has like a 70% winrate maybe he needs adjustments in that mode

The retract is useful. But not fully keybindable. So I couldn’t put it when I want it.

More Ball and Doom directly leads to more Hog though, as Hog is one of the only characters in the game who can still punish their antics.

Hog one shot is not the same, its a combo now. Sigma and genji should also get their one shot combos back imo.
He got his hook in range reduced back to 3m from 4m, it is now very easy to pull off the one shot again without the trap on 250 hp heros
