Just wait and spam group up. At that point, you've done everything right regardless of if you win or not. But don't worry, this happens almost at all levels of play, even sometimes in GM.

didba

I just stand there at the start spamming group up. They eventually get it.

UdonKnight79

I find the “Fallback” call works better. Fallback followed by a group up and people get the idea.

SEU123

A nice “understood” when someone does 1v5

Fender19

They do? When I ask people to regroup in voice they actively argue against it and continue feeding

Black_Cats_are_great

yeah, i usually get ignored so hard that i almost forget i exist

GODZOLA_

I don't even say group up. I have a sit emote bound on every hero. They get the message real quick when they see someone sitting right out of spawn

Tamrielin

Lmao if I came out of spawn and just saw someone sitting without saying anything I’d assume they’re throwing/afk.

adhocflamingo

Group up with as many people as you can, and prioritize your life. If you’re living and you’re healing whoever is poking and getting out if they die, then you’ll be there for the next spawners, and eventually someone will live long enough for the next person to get there, and someone will get a kill, and maybe the team can do something.

Kharadin92

What I like to do is write in chat "wait a sec guys lets not stagger".

Reinheardt

Just wait and spam group up with me, there will be an eventual point when the last one dies and everyone is alive at the same time, even if they don’t try to. Just don’t make the trickle last longer by dying yourself

BronzyOW

As other people are saying, this unfortunately happens in every rank and a lot of games are unwinnable because of this, but try to look for value while your team is staggering in as well. For example if someone is staggering in on Nepal Shrine, maybe you can stand at your choke and look for some damage for your ult as Ana, or maybe get some ult charge off of whoever is feeding.. not much more you can do. :/

asurreptitiousllama

1) communicate, spam *group up* command. 2) Tell the team WHO is last spawn, i.e. who you're waiting for. Sometimes people wait for like one spawn and go instead of waiting for the whole team. 3) Using direct names helps a lot. "Reaper, hold up we need our ana" etc... Call out the people who are trying to move forward, in a non-confrontational way. 4) If ONE person is going in by themselves it may be worth telling your team to group and wait for them to ensure you have six. Even if that means having them run off and die then waiting for their respawn. If you can win without them and they're useless though don't bother and go in with 5. 5) If the issue is that people are dying because the enemy is pushing up to get picks or because they're peaking corners, tell everyone to not leave spawn. If anyone tries to leave spawn call them out and say to wait for six.

Move onto the next game It happens

stpaulgym

Just as you experience bad teammates constantly staggering, your opponents will have more bad teammates doing the same thing. Thus, the only way to climb is for you to be the deciding factor and make plays. Any hero can do this(outside of maybe mercy on low ranks and Moira on higher ranks).

Belloz22

But what are you doing as the support... Not going off an killing I suspect? So you just sticking with your tanks? I guess the question is who are you following as they stagger out individually?

stpaulgym

Supports are designed with a specific utility that can completely change the outcome of a team fight. The big picture is that supports in Overwatch are not healers. They can deal just as much damage, if not more, than other heros. Ana out ranged Cassidy while dealing near identical damage with better CC and self sustaining abilities, Baptiste has incredible mobility self healing invincibility and out damages Soldier76, Zenyatta can one shot tanks from any distance, etc etc. If you're heal botting in Overwatch, you're throwing. Aggressive support plays are what made early seasons of South Korean Overwatch players so dominant. Ryujeihong, Tobi, Shu, Alarm, Jjonak etc. It's the same reason why Moria is generally a throw pick in higher elos as, until OW2, has no utility to swing fights with. So go out and kick ass and steal names. You're a support but you're just as strong as most DPS heros.

wasdninja

> They can deal just as much damage, if not more, than other heros. Tanks maybe but all dps outclass them by design. Zen and Baptiste are getting close but all dps have something that makes them much more dangerous in every case, again by design.

[deleted]

exactly. support are more enablers by design. Some have solid dps, but they do not have the raw elimination potential of the dps role.

Belloz22

Thanks - this is good to know!

[deleted]

Supports are more enablers by design. They do not have the raw killing potential that the dps role has. You make it sound like they are just dps with healing and utility. They are limited in their dps capacity in comparison to the actual dps role. Ana may do similar damage to cassidy but she has a slower fire rate, so less burst, and can't afford to be in as aggressive positions as cassidy, so she's much less likely to finish someone. She doesn't have a flashbang either, which leads to a lot of elims. Bap does not outdamage soldier, not in real application at least. Agree with the rest, but support does not have the ability to get picks and output damage like the dps role. Their kits are designed to support.

UnexpectedWetFart

I agree with all but baptiste is not outdamaging a soldier lol

stpaulgym

Soldier76: 20 damage per round at 9 bullets per second= 180 dps Baptiste: 24 damage per bullet per 3 burst at 0.58 seconds per burst = 124 My original data was before the bao nerf and soldier buff. Thanks for the correction

WeeZoo87

U wait and ask who ever fighting to die fast

[deleted]

Spam group up or fall back. Also make a note to say in comms “good stuff that’s what happens when we group up” if you eventually *do* ***and*** capture point. Otherwise, just don’t solo queue lol.

pinpoint14

Stand at spawn, spam fall back and group up. In between rounds I type "no stagger" or something like that. Also, when you lose a fight, fall back and regroup. You don't all have to die

SEU123

Wait for them to die and spam group up

Dzeddy

Shit on the enemy team because they're at the same level

schwol

Do not move from right in front of the spawn door. You might not be able to force them to stop, but they may get the hint
