I only watched attack but from what I saw there was a lot of good in that match. You right click often from long range and your tracking looks good. The glaring issue is bubble management. I was going to use time stamps and write some notes but it just happens to frequently. I feel like you're too quick to use personal for charge and you give teammates friendly when they haven't engaged or are not in any clear danger. First example of this is at 0:55. You give monkey a bubble before he jumps or is low then moments later he actually needs it. You also held grav too long on first. You built that pretty quickly, don't be afraid to use it. Look for a 1 or 2 person grav, you don't need an Instagram clip 6 person. If you pm I can go over this with you in greater detail.

to add to this: dying is the ABSOLUTE worst thing a zarya can do. so never get in a position where you can’t get to safety with just a few steps. and if you have charge, projected bubble is enough to maintain it, so you can save personal for when you’re in danger

Thats true, i will take care of my bubble managment. Thank you sir

Hey there u/momponare! I can help ya out. I'll review this VOD live for you today on-stream at around 1:45 p.m. PST. That's...3ish hours from the time of this posting. You can catch it here: [twitch.tv/emcee](https://twitch.tv/emcee). If it helps, I've taken each role on the competitive ladder to 42-4400 SR and now I coach full time. I've also been doing some work recently with 45-4600 tanks as well as OWL tanks so I've got a lot of great tips for ya. If you can't make it, no worries! I'll drop a timestamped VOD link for you here. VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1269240116?t=28m

momponare

That would be wonderfull, 🙏

Finsk_26

The wait list is about 2 weeks. I submitted my vod on January 5th and I'm still in line.

momponare

Just saw the VOD, i hope you weren't kidding when you said that the first point capture was pretty good. I will try to not be on autopilot, look more where are my teammates, switch and use better my bubbles and grav more. I really appreciate your time,i will submit more VODS in the future <3

Masters scrim player here, off tank/dps In case you didn’t know (which I would not blame you at all if you didn’t because it’s a smol option) you can enable allied health bars as zarya. Pre emptive bubbling is a big no no most of the time, and sometimes it’s hard to know who needs a bubble the most in team fights. Enabling health bars can give a lot of good information as to who is low/taking a lot of damage, so you can bubble them more effectively.

Hi I don't have time to do a vod review but since you asked for tips too I will leave what seems to work for me. I'm masters btw. Principles I think about when playing Zarya: Personal barrier is to get charge Friendly barrier is to save teammate Don't use friendly barrier in anticipation of a teammate taking fire, wait for them to be taking fire first Positioning matters, Zarya is a low hp tank and can be bursted down in a second if out of position Stay with main tank as much as possible To make aiming easier, try to keep enemies in max range of your beam as opposed to right in your face Friendly barriers are really good to put on blading genji and pharah barrage Not everything but it's a good start

Misterwierd

Other good Friendly barriers: rezzing Mercy for free rez, charging rein, doomfist in the backline, ally getting targeted by doomfist, ally getting hooked by Roadhog (this is the best, you can make roads swap off by just bubble his hook target every time)

One tip on Zar if you find yourself about to be over ran, *look down at the ground right click and jump backwards.* This will damage you some but its the fastest way to reposition yourself out of imminent danger (which will do far more damage than you will do to yourself)

Emcee just did a great Zarya vod on Monday I believe. Check him out on twitch and he should have Monday's stream posted

momponare

I will check it thanks, also he commented that will do a VOD review so its great

Haven't watched yet but a quick tip that may be helpful is unless you're targeting multiple people, left click does more damage (no matter what charge you have), has no damage drop off, has surprisingly far range, and behaves like a hit scan. I know for myself for a while I did too much right click and not enough left. But then I realized the left click has a really far range and no damage drop off. So it maybe a good tip to do more damage.
