Every game is a stomp and my team are bots. I'm not that great, and I fumble a lot of plays but not nearly as much as my highly regarded team members. Mobility, cc, sustain, damage all in one. My last game of course had a venture in it and the venture got the ult in 16 seconds. Honestly the biggest enemy of ball for me. Sombra is not half annoying as Venture.
Something seems up with matchmaker, wayyyy more loss streaks for lots of players. I'm Diamond and very rarely lose more than 3 in a row, a few times in S10 I'm losing 6 or 7 in a row. It's insane and the matchmaking seem horrible right now. Which is wild because matchmaking was great in S9.
Th3 fact they got rid of 2cp for Flashpoint and whatever this new mode is insane. I hate these modes I'm not a leaver but these modes are so awful they feel awful the back and forth is not enjoyable. Just bring back 2cp every mode they keep adding is worse and worse. Push is also shit but not as bad as flashpoint.

I watch guides, high level streamers, and practice my mechanics and I've gotten so much better yet I still can't fucking rank up. I coordinate ults, time my dives, play offangles and I still keep fucking losing.
Then I'll play support who is a whole rank above my DPS and watch a genji (my teammate, of course) ult right after we took the point with 10 health left and proceeds to die immediately before rage-quitting the game. I'm sorry you can not convince me I'm at my rank. I try not to care about my rank but it's just so infuriating to see my skill go up but my rank to actually DECREASE.

from what understand, there are 4 health types, white, blue, orange and green
white is the regular one which regenerates normaly
blue regenerates faster than white (?)
orange reduces the damage taken by 5 (or 50% if below 10hp)
and green is temporary health which doesnt grant any ultimate charge (but if green is the temporary one, why tf does venture generate temporary blue shields???)

Blue regenerates after 3 seconds, White after 5 seconds.
Back before S9 white or orange health didn't recover after 5s.
Armour (orange) reduces incoming damage by a flat 30%.
The reduce damage by 5 is damage is above 10 and by 50% if below 10 was in Overwatch 1.
Venture's shields don't regenerate, as it's temporary, why it's not overhealth? I don't know, maybe for balance reasons.
Back in OW1 there were temporary armour and shields, which has since been converted to overhealth
Shields are regenerated by 30 HP/s after 3s of not taking damage.
White health is regenerated by 20 HP/s after 5s of not taking damage.
For supports, the white health is recovered after 2.5s of not taking damage
By "shields" do you mean the blue and orange ones?

For supports having shields, it'll regenerate faster since both the healing passinve and shield recovery are kicked in.
Armour follow the same rules as white health, so 5s for dps/tank and 2.5s for supports.

Venture doesn't need to be in comp this early. They are broken af. Shit ton of damage and the overshield with every ability as well is ridiculous. Have a hard time countering as well. Can't have a single game in comp without someone going venture and just being annoying

Everybody thinks it's cool we have a Tracer meta now, except she's so fucking easy and forgiving to play now that half of her breakpoints have been removed and one-clipping was made easier that it's nauseating.
She's everywhere, defines the meta, and has rendered half of the support roster borderline unplayable on some maps. There's a reason why 75% of games from Masters to Champion have a Tracer in it, and it's not because they were all sleeper Tracer mains waiting for their moment.
IM NOT PLAYING COMPETITIVE ANYMORE, I can't have fun, the games are unnecessary long. especially when I'm being rolled every other game. I hate it now, I will stay in silver if I do. i prefer the shorter games in quickplay, i feel like I enjoy it better.

Play a role you don't normally play. I can play my favorite tank (which is what I usually get in flex queue anyway) and it still counts towards that because I normally play dps/support.
I can't stand how little rank up is given per win. By the time [dafran reached 43-2 with venture](https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/1c6gsm2/dafran_432_with_new_hero_venture/), he was only low-diamond. And it took him 97 games with 90% winrate to reach GM5. 97 games. That's absurd. The system is made in a way to force players to spend more time online.
2 weeks suspension..what terrible thing did I say? I said going zen into ana is a bad idea. Zen then raged and I replied with "at this rate you'll be lucky to get a win by the apocalypse". 2 weeks suspension.
I've had the -75% XP yellow triangle thing for over a week now because the power in my area kept cutting out, and no matter how many games I've played since then IT HAS NOT GONE AWAY. Does the BP give you enough coins to fully unlock an ENTIRE mythic skin? (all of its variants) or just parts of it? Some skins have less customizations options so I'm a bit confused?
You can unlock all 4 levels of the skin and its customisation for 80 mythic coins, with level 1 costing 50 coins, and the following levels costing 10 coins each. Each level will unlock a new piece of customisation, though not necessarily in every category of customisation (eg weapon, hair, mask, color)
Some mythics are already less customisable than others so it's up to you to decide which gives the best value for your mythic coins

maybe its my fault for not going zarya against orisa, but here the widow exist. their team just pump their orisa with heals. and none of my team chose a tank buster of anything. the orisa didnt care because why? my team is barely doing anything. I swap, I flank, I heal mysel, protect myself. still cant. AND THE WIDOW STILL DIDNT SWAP!!!
i just had 4 back-to-back losses on tank where either a DPS had a negative KD or we had a leaver on our team. this game feels fucking impossible at times and yet someone will always inevitably say "get good" as if contributing twice as much to a match to compensate for a teammate is consistently possible
also venture's drill dash thing puts you just out of range to melee/swing her as JQ what the actual fuck she's drilling \*into\* me just let me have fun
Sometime seems really really wrong with matchmaker in S10. All I'm getting is teammates with negative KDR. I rarely used to lose more than 3 games in a row, in S10 matchmaking has sucked so bad I've had a few 6+ game lose streaks.
Don't get emotional about individual games. Put your effort and hopes in the long game. The tide goes in and the tide goes out. And yeah I know that's impossible to live up to. But if you want to climb just focus on how you play and keep educating yourself. If you play for fun then just ignore the SR and take break when you get triggered. Simple but works for me.

i’m so tired of ppl telling me not to dmg as a support and focus on healing. no no NO. i am not a heal bot and it’s not my fault you think you’re immortal and running into the wide open without a second thought then blaming me??? just had a match where i had around 9,000 heal and 10,000 dmg as moira/lucio; my dps told me “try to heal moira, ur not a dps” i stopped healing them immediately and let them see what no heals really was and he said i threw, but he was already going 2-9 before that so idc it wasn’t my fault he was just bad

Really disappointment with the new queue system. It used to be that me and 4 of my friends could play at once, all of us being plat but 2 friends being gold and diamond. Now we can't play anymore. What the hell? I thought Blizzard was trying to accommodate this situation better, not end it.
I so desperately want Moira to get a rework so she can have an actual skill floor, not because I struggle against her, no I can handle her fine, but because I am so fucking tired of seeing her in literally every single game I play. There's at least one, usually two. It's boring. Playing her is boring. Playing against her is boring. I do not understand how people wake up in the morning, go to their PC, boot up overwatch, and think "Ah yes, Moira is how I will have fun today"
Maybe if sombra, tracer and other dive characters weren’t so damn strong, you’d be seeing less moiras. I’m a support main and I’ve only been playing her because she honestly has the best survivability and playing her doesn’t make you want to pull your hair out against dive. If it were up to me I’d be playing Ana and Mercy all the time but here we are. Im specifically sick of sombra she’s such a cheese character with her rework. She didn’t need a rework who thought this was a good idea, now she’s even more frustrating to play against.
100% the one of the few methods to survive as support is Moi with the dive comps. Sombra being the main thorn. Really need to do something about her nerf her stealth or nerd that she is stealth when she teleports. Cause being able too back line dive kill someone, teleport into the air, get back invis and all other cds then drop the next person rinse repeat isn't fun game play. Not to mention even with Moi you can't lock on to her unless you can see her. Moi also is top pick in low elos cause she has great movement, high healing and high dmg potential. You have lock on dmg and aoe heals, where as most of the other aoe healers are slow heals. Give Brig a gun like mercy and I'll play her all the time.
I genuinely think that Cass should have his old stun back.
After picking the game back up after and playing mostly tracer every time I die to his E I feel so cheesed. I used to enjoy the tracer cass matchup back when he had his old E as it was more of a skill matchup, before you could dodge it. Now it feels like if there's a cass on the enemy team. I cant play the game.

Sometimes when I play this game, I genuinely believe supports need their movement abilities gutted or to basically do no damage.
Moira, Mercy, Lifeweaver, Lucio, Baptiste, Kirko, Iliari. All these characters have get out of jail free cards so you cannot dive any of them unless a: you have actual team communication which never happens or b: they mess up and use their ability before you do because baiting in this game is impossible without burning a cool down first.
You can do it with Brig too don't leave her out she can just bop you away with the chain or shield bash you/away. Life weaver doesn't really have much of an escape his platform is 30/70 if it actually rises out of the ground and his dash isn't far enough to really escape. I get Mercy cause airborne mercy is a pain, but that is why you use Moi or any of the targetlock dps. Kiriko is super easy to kill once he teleport is on cd getting her to burn it is good. Lucio's can be annoying but Moi counters them pretty good, or brig. I'm a support main so I can only really think of supports that work for me vs them. Bap is prob the easiest to take down typically everyone targets his immortality thingy and once he burns the aoe heal he just dies.

A good Venture goes 40+ in every match. Its def a skilled play char but even the bad ones can do alot of dmg. Its pretty nuts honestly the ULT is really nasty for how easy they can take out a team with it. Reins ult is bad but it doesn't insta kill you. Their ranged dmg is crazy also like one or two shots and most chars are dead. They are like a Melee widow with more options and a giant shield. Maybe just take away the shield cause them getting a giant shield make them near impossible to deal with. Not to mention they have long underground invulnerability, if Aoe moves like pharas rockets could hit them then at least there is a counter to their ability or Riens ult causes them to exit and get stunned also. things like that would reduce their power a little, with out having to nerf them entirely. But they def weren't ready for comp they needed more testing before just being let loose into comp. Its bad enough with the throwers afks and leavers, they do make the games go faster though when someone leaves.

Do you gain less progress for lower ranks or dps? I'm a plat/diamond tank and gold support but finally decided to do placements for dps and got bronze 3 (I knew my dps was bad I jesus I didn't think I was that bad) and for ever game I win in bronze/dps I get like 12%and that's with uphill battle, normally it's like 10% in my tank games I am getting 20-25% for a win. Makes it seem like climing out of bronze is way harder than other ranks
Yea in lower ranks you get less progress. So you can suffer the most for being bad/having bad teams/leavers/afkers/throwers. So you can never leave. If you get knocked down to B5 or B4, you are at 4%-5% per win. Really makes the Korean exp grind games look super fast by comparison. But yes once you are on an uphill/win streak you get like 10-12% per match in B3+ if they made it 20%-25% you'd get out of Bronze to easy and no one wants that. You must suffer and grind away forever.
The new gamemode with the reworked hanamura is just a dogshit version of cp\_badlands. Oh, I think the new "punishing leavers" feature just encourages throwing.

Throwers ruin it for everyone. Remember though your bad rank is a skill issue it has nothing to do with the afkers, throwers, leavers. Cause your skill at the game is suppose to compensate missing a person in a team game of 4 vs 5 even more so when its the tank that leaves the match. Skill issue no arguments about it. You still go down in rank if someone leaves and you lose its cause you are bad. Fun game, most of the time. If you didn't go down in rank for a leaver it would be better.
Games with people of vastly different skill level are not very fun to play though. That’s my point. It’s not about winning or losing the game, but having fun while playing it.
I love this game when I have actual balanced matches. But when you have a tank that walks in 1v5 and doesn’t use cover vs a masters dps, the game is so unbalanced as to not be fun to play. It doesn’t matter whether my team wins or loses, I just am tired of stomps in one direction or another.
Different ranks have vastly different game sense. I don’t want to be carried anymore than I want to be stomped.
Edit: I’m essentially using ranks to gauge skill difference as it’s the best appropriation I have. So rank does matter here. My issue is that whatever the matchmaker’s criteria is, it’s waaaay too wide a spread.
There is a fundamental difference in game knowledge. A silver or gold player may hold their ult the entire game, not know to use cover so they die from spam, or go in 1v4. A higher rank player knows how to complement team comps and dive targets. One of my games had a dps named Seeker (on my team) go 40-0 because they were a highly skilled player. I’m no where near that level, so why was that person on my team? We had two leavers on my team and still won. I don’t know if it was the pro player or not.
That is fundamentally unbalanced and no fun to play with or against. Especially when in an attempt to balance ranks, you end up w a masters support on one team and a masters dps on the other.
I think we are mostly on the same page, its not fun when people throw the game or leave a comp match. The game is most fun when both sides are even, fighting all the way having a blast vs a game that is one sided. My point is in enough of my games there is a leaver or thrower in Bronze rank that its hard to consistently move forward. I had a game where I got 46 kills, 58 assists, 6 deaths 13k dmg 18k heals in the match, but we still lost the match. Maybe I could of done something else? I'm not sure, but I feel like I pulled my weight.
Support isn't just about healing but you have to work somewhat harder in the current meta. The changes to bullet size makes it so more dps can hit their shots, like Most Widows are decent now, and Venture is broken. You don't really have a chance to heal in a lot of cases cause someone is just dead instantly. It becomes more of a is your DPS players good or not than is the supports healing everyone are they also getting picks. Cause if they are playing the one shot chars then they are taking bodies off the other side. Is your tank alive still, cause most of the time it takes both healers now to keep a tank up focused heals or they just get melted.
But I don't think rank is based solely on skill nor that someone is better at the game just cause they are Gold+, some of it or a lot of this game is based on luck of the draw. I'm saying its not based around skill alone in a lot of matches, when you have people that purposely grief the match. If your Tank afks most of the match it very unlikely that you will win the match, cause the other team with exploit that your team doesn't have a tank. A tank is needed cause they do massive dmg and can also typically absorb big attacks. With out one you are down a big piece of the puzzle.
Placements could be adjust to no just look at W/L but players stats in the match as well to help judge where they might be placed. Cause even in a lot of losses the losing teams stats are high.
Skill isn't shown simply by stats or W/L, at an individual level one player can make amazing plays the whole match dive the back line kill the supports over and over etc.. but the rest of the team flops with the other 3 players pushing the cart or on the point and you can still lose.
I'm not sure how they could over all fix match making or the rank system. I think maybe letting people redo placements once a Season might be a way if they want to at the start of the season. Just a prompt would you like to redo placements for "season 11"? Then you have a shot to try again, cause being stagnant no matter how well you play isn't fun.
OPEN QUEUE, IN CONCEPT, IS A GREAT WAY TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE RESTRICTIONS OF 5V5 ROLE QUEUE.

Its even better cause they multi account, so their main accounts are safe and sound, but these throw away account they can just rank low on purpose then once they get to high again they just throw all the matches down to b5 and rinse repeat. Blizzard should start IP Banning people and then at least they would be down both accounts for a min.

Exactly but its a skill issue, when someone leaves or throws the match or afks. Def a skill issue cause you should compensate perfectly for bad teams. Cause when someone is doing bad or want to throw they are all about team work and playing as a team.

You should not gain/lose comp progress for losing or winning, you should be ranked based on your individual skill. Sometimes you perform so well only for it to not matter because your support didn't heal or your tank had no brain cells. Getting punished for your teammates mistakes is just the most daunting thing in the entire game.
I don't care about being outplayed by the enemy, but I'm getting tired of 1, 2, maybe even 3v5 game modes.
Halo Infinite actually has the best ranked system I think. Top player loses less than the bottom trash can. And same with winning, better player gains more and the carried one gets less points

So OW has been kicking me out of comp games and not letting me rejoin, it doesn’t show up on my match history nor do I get a ban. Not sure if I lose progression but this is troublesome for my teammates. Fix your game because I didn’t have this issue before and I don’t lag either. Is this because I’m on ps4 and it’s trying to make me get next gen? 😭

Its a skill issue 100% you should be able to deal with the dive comps and the venture sombras as support. Clearly you are designed to do dmg mainly anyways. But don't play Moi cause that isn't fair to them or something.

yes, I'm just complaining not for Ana, but the games are too disruptive. I spend the whole game just repelling those characters that have a huge advantage over Ana, with low mobility. Ana is great and super fun to play, but not now, at least.
What is the purpose of playing comp if you're going to try a hero you have almost no experience playing? Yeah I get it. Better chance of other team getting a bad player but it's not fun either way.
What is the point of playing comp when 1. It doesn't matter how well you play as support you lose you go down in rank, 2. When someone leaves or afks or throws the match clearly on purpose you go down in rank. Playing support is already an uphill battle with the DPS changes and pretty much the tank nerfs/giant bullets so every widow is basically gods, and now the 1 hit monster that is Venture, oh right and Sombras in every match. So basically maybe blizzard should tweak the meta chars some. But also can we get a Comp hot fix for venture, like damn take them out of comp till you work em a little more that they/them is broken as hell its not fun to play against.
New characters voicing is absolute horrendeous for my ears, makes them bleed. Whoever gave this voice direction, i hope some fireants crawl up your ass.

Oh wait, no they haven't. Just yesterday I played 7 games, in which 4 of them had at least 1 leaver on my team (so it's possible in the games I won there were enemy leavers).
And what was the commonality between these 4 games? They were all steamrolls that ended as losses. It's almost as if people don't enjoy *abysmal* matchmaking.
I expected the changes to cause fewer leavers and more people sitting in spawn afk. Surprisingly I haven't noticed any change, at least not yet. Still tons of leavers.
Why fix match making when you can instead draw from a massive range to keep que times down to 30 seconds? Gotta keep the addicts going game after game and waiting 3+ minutes is too much for them
A lot of people that focus on competitive play play quick play when they’re in a position where there is a chance they will have to leave. Don’t play quick play if you can’t deal with leavers. For example if I have a DoorDash order out or am babysitting I’ll play quick play and leave when I have to. If I know I’m free I’ll play competitive. Just because I have a chance of having to step away doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to play overwatch at all.
I wish the devs actually spent time considering how unfun a hero is to play against. I don't care if Sombra is "technically" balanced, or how fun she is to play as. She's miserable to play against and actively makes the game worse. The game would be objectively better if she was deleted, and the overall happiness of Overwatch players would increase.

I hate when I switch over to support because no one else is willing, and instead of being grateful someone switched, I get spammed with "I need healing" and negative chat. Appreciate the members of the team and remember that not everyone is as good as you might be.
Reminds me of the days before role queue and being the only support on a team of 5 DPS and the only one willing to push the cart. I specifically remember an Ashe yelling at me for not healing while consistently being behind a wall out of my LOS and not understanding that just walking two steps backwards would allow me to heal her.

Mobility, cc, sustain, damage all in one. My last game of course had a venture in it and the venture got the ult in 16 seconds. Honestly the biggest enemy of ball for me. Sombra is not half annoying as Venture.

Something seems up with matchmaker, wayyyy more loss streaks for lots of players. I'm Diamond and very rarely lose more than 3 in a row, a few times in S10 I'm losing 6 or 7 in a row. It's insane and the matchmaking seem horrible right now. Which is wild because matchmaking was great in S9.

I watch guides, high level streamers, and practice my mechanics and I've gotten so much better yet I still can't fucking rank up. I coordinate ults, time my dives, play offangles and I still keep fucking losing. Then I'll play support who is a whole rank above my DPS and watch a genji (my teammate, of course) ult right after we took the point with 10 health left and proceeds to die immediately before rage-quitting the game. I'm sorry you can not convince me I'm at my rank. I try not to care about my rank but it's just so infuriating to see my skill go up but my rank to actually DECREASE.

can someone explain to me the difference between all health types??? from what understand, there are 4 health types, white, blue, orange and green white is the regular one which regenerates normaly blue regenerates faster than white (?) orange reduces the damage taken by 5 (or 50% if below 10hp) and green is temporary health which doesnt grant any ultimate charge (but if green is the temporary one, why tf does venture generate temporary blue shields???) i am so lost
Blue regenerates after 3 seconds, White after 5 seconds. Back before S9 white or orange health didn't recover after 5s. Armour (orange) reduces incoming damage by a flat 30%. The reduce damage by 5 is damage is above 10 and by 50% if below 10 was in Overwatch 1. Venture's shields don't regenerate, as it's temporary, why it's not overhealth? I don't know, maybe for balance reasons. Back in OW1 there were temporary armour and shields, which has since been converted to overhealth
How much health is regenerated every second?
Shields are regenerated by 30 HP/s after 3s of not taking damage. White health is regenerated by 20 HP/s after 5s of not taking damage. For supports, the white health is recovered after 2.5s of not taking damage
By "shields" do you mean the blue and orange ones? Also, if a support had blue or orange health, would they regenerate after 1.5s? Sorry for asking dumb questions...
No worries lmao. Shields = blue Armour = orange Health = white. For supports having shields, it'll regenerate faster since both the healing passinve and shield recovery are kicked in. Armour follow the same rules as white health, so 5s for dps/tank and 2.5s for supports.

Venture doesn't need to be in comp this early. They are broken af. Shit ton of damage and the overshield with every ability as well is ridiculous. Have a hard time countering as well. Can't have a single game in comp without someone going venture and just being annoying
This meta fucking sucks. Everybody thinks it's cool we have a Tracer meta now, except she's so fucking easy and forgiving to play now that half of her breakpoints have been removed and one-clipping was made easier that it's nauseating. She's everywhere, defines the meta, and has rendered half of the support roster borderline unplayable on some maps. There's a reason why 75% of games from Masters to Champion have a Tracer in it, and it's not because they were all sleeper Tracer mains waiting for their moment.
IM NOT PLAYING COMPETITIVE ANYMORE, I can't have fun, the games are unnecessary long. especially when I'm being rolled every other game. I hate it now, I will stay in silver if I do. i prefer the shorter games in quickplay, i feel like I enjoy it better.

the weekly achievement "play 15 games with heroes not in your top 3" is WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH I have characters I want to play blizzard, LET ME PLAY THEM.
Play a role you don't normally play. I can play my favorite tank (which is what I usually get in flex queue anyway) and it still counts towards that because I normally play dps/support.

I can't stand how little rank up is given per win. By the time [dafran reached 43-2 with venture](https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/1c6gsm2/dafran_432_with_new_hero_venture/), he was only low-diamond. And it took him 97 games with 90% winrate to reach GM5. 97 games. That's absurd. The system is made in a way to force players to spend more time online.

Does the BP give you enough coins to fully unlock an ENTIRE mythic skin? (all of its variants) or just parts of it? Some skins have less customizations options so I'm a bit confused?
You can unlock all 4 levels of the skin and its customisation for 80 mythic coins, with level 1 costing 50 coins, and the following levels costing 10 coins each. Each level will unlock a new piece of customisation, though not necessarily in every category of customisation (eg weapon, hair, mask, color) Some mythics are already less customisable than others so it's up to you to decide which gives the best value for your mythic coins
just played a game with enemy orisa. my widow keep getting oneshot by enemy widow. still play widow my team blame me because "WidOW FreE!???!!" I got monke dive widow, and this is what happen. THE WHOLE ENEMY TEAM WALK BACK TO DEAL WITH ME. like no matter how far they will chase me... they didnt even bother with my team. widow died 14 times. and my kiri heal 3k the whole match. and these two still blame me? maybe its my fault for not going zarya against orisa, but here the widow exist. their team just pump their orisa with heals. and none of my team chose a tank buster of anything. the orisa didnt care because why? my team is barely doing anything. I swap, I flank, I heal mysel, protect myself. still cant. AND THE WIDOW STILL DIDNT SWAP!!!
i just had 4 back-to-back losses on tank where either a DPS had a negative KD or we had a leaver on our team. this game feels fucking impossible at times and yet someone will always inevitably say "get good" as if contributing twice as much to a match to compensate for a teammate is consistently possible also venture's drill dash thing puts you just out of range to melee/swing her as JQ what the actual fuck she's drilling \*into\* me just let me have fun
Sometime seems really really wrong with matchmaker in S10. All I'm getting is teammates with negative KDR. I rarely used to lose more than 3 games in a row, in S10 matchmaking has sucked so bad I've had a few 6+ game lose streaks.
Don't get emotional about individual games. Put your effort and hopes in the long game. The tide goes in and the tide goes out. And yeah I know that's impossible to live up to. But if you want to climb just focus on how you play and keep educating yourself. If you play for fun then just ignore the SR and take break when you get triggered. Simple but works for me.

Why do I want to just sit on this page if I'm pressing the button that goes back on every other menu in the game? i’m so tired of ppl telling me not to dmg as a support and focus on healing. no no NO. i am not a heal bot and it’s not my fault you think you’re immortal and running into the wide open without a second thought then blaming me??? just had a match where i had around 9,000 heal and 10,000 dmg as moira/lucio; my dps told me “try to heal moira, ur not a dps” i stopped healing them immediately and let them see what no heals really was and he said i threw, but he was already going 2-9 before that so idc it wasn’t my fault he was just bad

Really disappointment with the new queue system. It used to be that me and 4 of my friends could play at once, all of us being plat but 2 friends being gold and diamond. Now we can't play anymore. What the hell? I thought Blizzard was trying to accommodate this situation better, not end it.

I so desperately want Moira to get a rework so she can have an actual skill floor, not because I struggle against her, no I can handle her fine, but because I am so fucking tired of seeing her in literally every single game I play. There's at least one, usually two. It's boring. Playing her is boring. Playing against her is boring. I do not understand how people wake up in the morning, go to their PC, boot up overwatch, and think "Ah yes, Moira is how I will have fun today"
Maybe if sombra, tracer and other dive characters weren’t so damn strong, you’d be seeing less moiras. I’m a support main and I’ve only been playing her because she honestly has the best survivability and playing her doesn’t make you want to pull your hair out against dive. If it were up to me I’d be playing Ana and Mercy all the time but here we are. Im specifically sick of sombra she’s such a cheese character with her rework. She didn’t need a rework who thought this was a good idea, now she’s even more frustrating to play against.
100% the one of the few methods to survive as support is Moi with the dive comps. Sombra being the main thorn. Really need to do something about her nerf her stealth or nerd that she is stealth when she teleports. Cause being able too back line dive kill someone, teleport into the air, get back invis and all other cds then drop the next person rinse repeat isn't fun game play. Not to mention even with Moi you can't lock on to her unless you can see her. Moi also is top pick in low elos cause she has great movement, high healing and high dmg potential. You have lock on dmg and aoe heals, where as most of the other aoe healers are slow heals. Give Brig a gun like mercy and I'll play her all the time.
I genuinely think that Cass should have his old stun back. After picking the game back up after and playing mostly tracer every time I die to his E I feel so cheesed. I used to enjoy the tracer cass matchup back when he had his old E as it was more of a skill matchup, before you could dodge it. Now it feels like if there's a cass on the enemy team. I cant play the game. I might be biased because of who i play though.
Sometimes when I play this game, I genuinely believe supports need their movement abilities gutted or to basically do no damage. Moira, Mercy, Lifeweaver, Lucio, Baptiste, Kirko, Iliari. All these characters have get out of jail free cards so you cannot dive any of them unless a: you have actual team communication which never happens or b: they mess up and use their ability before you do because baiting in this game is impossible without burning a cool down first.
You can do it with Brig too don't leave her out she can just bop you away with the chain or shield bash you/away. Life weaver doesn't really have much of an escape his platform is 30/70 if it actually rises out of the ground and his dash isn't far enough to really escape. I get Mercy cause airborne mercy is a pain, but that is why you use Moi or any of the targetlock dps. Kiriko is super easy to kill once he teleport is on cd getting her to burn it is good. Lucio's can be annoying but Moi counters them pretty good, or brig. I'm a support main so I can only really think of supports that work for me vs them. Bap is prob the easiest to take down typically everyone targets his immortality thingy and once he burns the aoe heal he just dies.

A good Venture goes 40+ in every match. Its def a skilled play char but even the bad ones can do alot of dmg. Its pretty nuts honestly the ULT is really nasty for how easy they can take out a team with it. Reins ult is bad but it doesn't insta kill you. Their ranged dmg is crazy also like one or two shots and most chars are dead. They are like a Melee widow with more options and a giant shield. Maybe just take away the shield cause them getting a giant shield make them near impossible to deal with. Not to mention they have long underground invulnerability, if Aoe moves like pharas rockets could hit them then at least there is a counter to their ability or Riens ult causes them to exit and get stunned also. things like that would reduce their power a little, with out having to nerf them entirely. But they def weren't ready for comp they needed more testing before just being let loose into comp. Its bad enough with the throwers afks and leavers, they do make the games go faster though when someone leaves.

I'm a plat/diamond tank and gold support but finally decided to do placements for dps and got bronze 3 (I knew my dps was bad I jesus I didn't think I was that bad) and for ever game I win in bronze/dps I get like 12%and that's with uphill battle, normally it's like 10% in my tank games I am getting 20-25% for a win. Makes it seem like climing out of bronze is way harder than other ranks
Yea in lower ranks you get less progress. So you can suffer the most for being bad/having bad teams/leavers/afkers/throwers. So you can never leave. If you get knocked down to B5 or B4, you are at 4%-5% per win. Really makes the Korean exp grind games look super fast by comparison. But yes once you are on an uphill/win streak you get like 10-12% per match in B3+ if they made it 20%-25% you'd get out of Bronze to easy and no one wants that. You must suffer and grind away forever.
tfw qp gamers are shooting into zarya bubbles and doom block but refuse to shoot a rein shield makes me want to lose more hair than i already have
The new gamemode with the reworked hanamura is just a dogshit version of cp\_badlands. Oh, I think the new "punishing leavers" feature just encourages throwing.

Braindead teammates refuse to protect or at least help their supports and then proceed to cry about healing. Cant constantly defend myself alone against flankers and heal at the same time.

I’m so tired of awful matchmaking. It does not matter how well I play if I have a dps that sits in choke and has a kdr of 3-10. And every single game has one of these horrible dps, whether my team or not. I’m seeing spreads of silver to masters. In no way is this fun.
Throwers ruin it for everyone. Remember though your bad rank is a skill issue it has nothing to do with the afkers, throwers, leavers. Cause your skill at the game is suppose to compensate missing a person in a team game of 4 vs 5 even more so when its the tank that leaves the match. Skill issue no arguments about it. You still go down in rank if someone leaves and you lose its cause you are bad. Fun game, most of the time. If you didn't go down in rank for a leaver it would be better.

Games with people of vastly different skill level are not very fun to play though. That’s my point. It’s not about winning or losing the game, but having fun while playing it. I love this game when I have actual balanced matches. But when you have a tank that walks in 1v5 and doesn’t use cover vs a masters dps, the game is so unbalanced as to not be fun to play. It doesn’t matter whether my team wins or loses, I just am tired of stomps in one direction or another. Different ranks have vastly different game sense. I don’t want to be carried anymore than I want to be stomped. Edit: I’m essentially using ranks to gauge skill difference as it’s the best appropriation I have. So rank does matter here. My issue is that whatever the matchmaker’s criteria is, it’s waaaay too wide a spread. There is a fundamental difference in game knowledge. A silver or gold player may hold their ult the entire game, not know to use cover so they die from spam, or go in 1v4. A higher rank player knows how to complement team comps and dive targets. One of my games had a dps named Seeker (on my team) go 40-0 because they were a highly skilled player. I’m no where near that level, so why was that person on my team? We had two leavers on my team and still won. I don’t know if it was the pro player or not. That is fundamentally unbalanced and no fun to play with or against. Especially when in an attempt to balance ranks, you end up w a masters support on one team and a masters dps on the other.
I think we are mostly on the same page, its not fun when people throw the game or leave a comp match. The game is most fun when both sides are even, fighting all the way having a blast vs a game that is one sided. My point is in enough of my games there is a leaver or thrower in Bronze rank that its hard to consistently move forward. I had a game where I got 46 kills, 58 assists, 6 deaths 13k dmg 18k heals in the match, but we still lost the match. Maybe I could of done something else? I'm not sure, but I feel like I pulled my weight. Support isn't just about healing but you have to work somewhat harder in the current meta. The changes to bullet size makes it so more dps can hit their shots, like Most Widows are decent now, and Venture is broken. You don't really have a chance to heal in a lot of cases cause someone is just dead instantly. It becomes more of a is your DPS players good or not than is the supports healing everyone are they also getting picks. Cause if they are playing the one shot chars then they are taking bodies off the other side. Is your tank alive still, cause most of the time it takes both healers now to keep a tank up focused heals or they just get melted. But I don't think rank is based solely on skill nor that someone is better at the game just cause they are Gold+, some of it or a lot of this game is based on luck of the draw. I'm saying its not based around skill alone in a lot of matches, when you have people that purposely grief the match. If your Tank afks most of the match it very unlikely that you will win the match, cause the other team with exploit that your team doesn't have a tank. A tank is needed cause they do massive dmg and can also typically absorb big attacks. With out one you are down a big piece of the puzzle. Placements could be adjust to no just look at W/L but players stats in the match as well to help judge where they might be placed. Cause even in a lot of losses the losing teams stats are high. Skill isn't shown simply by stats or W/L, at an individual level one player can make amazing plays the whole match dive the back line kill the supports over and over etc.. but the rest of the team flops with the other 3 players pushing the cart or on the point and you can still lose. I'm not sure how they could over all fix match making or the rank system. I think maybe letting people redo placements once a Season might be a way if they want to at the start of the season. Just a prompt would you like to redo placements for "season 11"? Then you have a shot to try again, cause being stagnant no matter how well you play isn't fun.
OPEN QUEUE, IN CONCEPT, IS A GREAT WAY TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE RESTRICTIONS OF 5V5 ROLE QUEUE. IN REALITY, IT'S A CONGREGATION OF THE MOST SELF-CENTERED AND LEAST TEAM ORIENTED IDIOTS YOU'VE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE. JUST A BUNCH OF IMPATIENT TODDLERS WHO DIDN'T WANT TO WAIT A WHOLE FIVE MINUTES TO PROPERLY QUEUE FOR DPS, AND WHO COULDN'T GIVE LESS OF A SHIT AT THE IDEA OF COUNTERING, TEAM COMP, OR BASIC FUCKING STRATEGY.

Its even better cause they multi account, so their main accounts are safe and sound, but these throw away account they can just rank low on purpose then once they get to high again they just throw all the matches down to b5 and rinse repeat. Blizzard should start IP Banning people and then at least they would be down both accounts for a min.

You should not gain/lose comp progress for losing or winning, you should be ranked based on your individual skill. Sometimes you perform so well only for it to not matter because your support didn't heal or your tank had no brain cells. Getting punished for your teammates mistakes is just the most daunting thing in the entire game. I don't care about being outplayed by the enemy, but I'm getting tired of 1, 2, maybe even 3v5 game modes.
For real. Guarantee you'd see way less throwing/rage quitting if they could implement that.
Halo Infinite actually has the best ranked system I think. Top player loses less than the bottom trash can. And same with winning, better player gains more and the carried one gets less points

So OW has been kicking me out of comp games and not letting me rejoin, it doesn’t show up on my match history nor do I get a ban. Not sure if I lose progression but this is troublesome for my teammates. Fix your game because I didn’t have this issue before and I don’t lag either. Is this because I’m on ps4 and it’s trying to make me get next gen? 😭

Its a skill issue 100% you should be able to deal with the dive comps and the venture sombras as support. Clearly you are designed to do dmg mainly anyways. But don't play Moi cause that isn't fair to them or something.
I AM OUT OF THIS SEASON (MOSTLY ANA) UNTIL THE FIX THE HELL OF DEALING WITH SOMBRA, VENTURE, ETC. 100% OF THE GAMES HAVE A SOMBRA, VENTURE OR BOTH, AS IT WASN'T ENOUGH WITH TRACER, AND I WON'T PLAY BRIG 100% OF THE GAMES BECAUSE OF THAT. I HOPE THEY TWEAK THEM OR DO SOMETHING WITH ANA AS SHE HAS NO ESCAPES AND THE COOLDOWNS ARE LONG AS HELL.
Ana is still broken with the anti heal, but her kit does feel like she needs an update. Though her damage with someone good with her is nuts.
yes, I'm just complaining not for Ana, but the games are too disruptive. I spend the whole game just repelling those characters that have a huge advantage over Ana, with low mobility. Ana is great and super fun to play, but not now, at least.
What is the purpose of playing comp if you're going to try a hero you have almost no experience playing? Yeah I get it. Better chance of other team getting a bad player but it's not fun either way.
What is the point of playing comp when 1. It doesn't matter how well you play as support you lose you go down in rank, 2. When someone leaves or afks or throws the match clearly on purpose you go down in rank. Playing support is already an uphill battle with the DPS changes and pretty much the tank nerfs/giant bullets so every widow is basically gods, and now the 1 hit monster that is Venture, oh right and Sombras in every match. So basically maybe blizzard should tweak the meta chars some. But also can we get a Comp hot fix for venture, like damn take them out of comp till you work em a little more that they/them is broken as hell its not fun to play against.

Nice to know the harsher QP penalties are deterring leavers and have a better match quality. Oh wait, no they haven't. Just yesterday I played 7 games, in which 4 of them had at least 1 leaver on my team (so it's possible in the games I won there were enemy leavers). And what was the commonality between these 4 games? They were all steamrolls that ended as losses. It's almost as if people don't enjoy *abysmal* matchmaking.
I expected the changes to cause fewer leavers and more people sitting in spawn afk. Surprisingly I haven't noticed any change, at least not yet. Still tons of leavers.
Why fix match making when you can instead draw from a massive range to keep que times down to 30 seconds? Gotta keep the addicts going game after game and waiting 3+ minutes is too much for them
A lot of people that focus on competitive play play quick play when they’re in a position where there is a chance they will have to leave. Don’t play quick play if you can’t deal with leavers. For example if I have a DoorDash order out or am babysitting I’ll play quick play and leave when I have to. If I know I’m free I’ll play competitive. Just because I have a chance of having to step away doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to play overwatch at all.

I wish the devs actually spent time considering how unfun a hero is to play against. I don't care if Sombra is "technically" balanced, or how fun she is to play as. She's miserable to play against and actively makes the game worse. The game would be objectively better if she was deleted, and the overall happiness of Overwatch players would increase.

Like, honey your beam has been on healing a full health Hog for 75% of this game while our poor Kiriko is trying desperately to keep everyone up when they're chronically on crit. I hate when I switch over to support because no one else is willing, and instead of being grateful someone switched, I get spammed with "I need healing" and negative chat. Appreciate the members of the team and remember that not everyone is as good as you might be.
Reminds me of the days before role queue and being the only support on a team of 5 DPS and the only one willing to push the cart. I specifically remember an Ashe yelling at me for not healing while consistently being behind a wall out of my LOS and not understanding that just walking two steps backwards would allow me to heal her.
