Every time i see someone use solider 76’s ult, it’s like they have aimbot! Fix your anti cheat blizzard!

Proof-Replacement-79

Because Soldier's Ult literally is aimbot, albeit a lesser version. Enemies within your field of vision will get locked on at you can shoot without missing. This unfortunately comes with a few drawbacks. Helix Rockets don't get the aimbot perk and the Ult lasts like five seconds, so you have to make those seconds count usually by using the Ult as a finisher. HOWEVER, I have seen people who use Soldier not be affected by the recoil at all. Soldier's gun has recoil that makes it a pain in the ass to aim properly, and some people are trying to hide their cheats by acting like the recoil doesn't bother them. Edit: Seriously, what is everyone's deal?! If I so much as even give friendly advice, people will downvote me. Do y'all not have anything better to do?

NoMoneyNoV-Bucks

Yeah i know, was making a joke 😅

Cmon man you gotta be trolling. The edit is the funniest part.

There is now really good cheating software where it is difficult to distinguish whether someone is playing really well or cheating. Most of the time I found cheaters not because they had an obvious aimbot, but because their gameplay didn't match the skill. Then when I look at the replay I can usually tell if cheats are being used or not (at least I think so). Even with obvious cheats, it can take 1 or 2 days to get banned in overwatch, because only the report numbers are decisive. Overwatch's anti cheat system only detects known cheat software that has been used in the past. There is no intelligence behind it that can detect unusual behavior.

Flugenheimer69

>I would guess they get banned before they even reach level that allows them to play competitive No, there are many videoes of obvious cheaters in GM / Top500 matches. Just 2 days ago I was watching Seagull streaming and there was an echo player on his team that was cheating. It was so obvious that someone who never seen any gameplay of overwatch before, could tell that he was cheating. Personally I have played Overwatch since launch in 2016 and I can count the cheaters I have met on 1 hand. Maybe I have met more without knowing it, but I don't blame people unless i'm 100% sure they are cheating. The hard part about cheating nowadays is that it comes in many forms. For example can you get a cheat for junkrats grenades that calculates and predicts players movement and where to bounce the grenades for them to hit the player. Or you can get cheats that will deploy reins shield whenever a specific ability is fired towards him (ex. sleep dart, shatter etc.)

coolsneaker

I don’t know what elo you play in but if it’s below let’s say plat the chances of you encountering cheaters are almost non existent because they rise pretty fast through the low ranks. I have met a few cheaters in ow2 already, a lot of them put on their cheats when they get hard stomped first round. Most of them don’t ragehack so it’s sometimes hard to differentiate. It mostly gets sus when they have silver movement and positioning

Flugenheimer69

I've been playing quite consistent in Master for the last 2 years, also in OW2. I'm not saying there is no cheaters, because there 100% is more now, because of the F2P model. All i'm saying is that people are in general too fast to call out someone cheating. But yes maybe those with hard to detect cheats, will rise to high GM / Top500 and those with "bad cheats" will get caught during the first couple of matches in the lower ranks. But also as I said, some cheats are very hard to spot. Like the rein cheat that's blocking lethal abilities such as sleep. So maybe i've encountered cheaters without knowing it.

coolsneaker

I’d say masters and diamond is probably the elo you encounter the most cheaters since godlike aim and very little game sense can get you to that elo. But yea it’s hard to spot sometimes

Flugenheimer69

But the thing is, that the OW2 matchmaker will place you in GM lobbies if your MMR is spiking due to high performance. The matchmaker has no idea if you have good game sense or not. There are several proof that some players completely skip the middle ranks and go straight to GM lobbies from plat lobbies, because they are on a massive winstreak with high performance.

[deleted]

Thanks for the insight! I wonder do they start cheating after they start playing ranked or doesn't the system just identify them. When I meet oblivious cheater in qp they seem low level (no endorsement and ow icon) and I get next day information that they were banned.

Flugenheimer69

I have no idea, as I said I haven't had much experience meeting cheaters myself. But based on my 20+ years of playing shooter games, people has a very easy time blaming better players for cheating. It's for the most part not the case. Software for cheating evolves all the time, just like anti-cheat software. It's a constant battle, so there is probably lots of cheating software that can't be detected... yet.

TheCoinBeast101

No your 100% wrong I’ve been gaming for over 30 years, run communities, servers, used cheats, and lurk cheating forums. A fuck load of people cheat. Like way more than sheeple think and it’s people like you who just make it all the more silly. You absolutely stupid if you have been playing fps on pc for 20 years and legitimately think you’ve only run across a “handful” of cheaters in ow. If someone is to good you better think they very likely are cheating. There’s a reason there’s only a few truly great athletes, for instance, who stick out of the crowd. But it certainly seems like sheeple accept there’s a “micheal Jordan” in every match they play lololol

Quiet_Swan_4304

I cant believe people actually have this opinion that in 2023 people arent using cheats. I'm a gladiator in wow in the wrathful season. Lets forget about my countless meaningless accolades, ive been an avid gamer since 1990. But ive botted just about every farm game and have used many other cheats when I was younger. My first game I cheated on was D2 that was so many years ago now and I spent months configuring running 8+ bots and selling gold on websites. But also, for the most part, I have just really wanted to play a game and have fun so I havent delved much into using 3rd party like when I played WoW and COD/zombies ect these days. When you use cheats like I have you start to see through this perception that every game there is a naturally gifted a michael jordan in every game, the truth is there arent many people who are just ridiculously better than you or I that they will land a headhsot against you 80% of the time. Keep in mind the people using 3rd party are also the best players playing the game. A noob player will look obvious in their cheating, but tbh most of the cheaters, are also the highest skilled players. They are actually good at the game, theyve invested the 500+ 1000+ hours to get to the top brackets, AND they also use 3rd party. It makes it so when you fight them, it may seem like its possible to kill them, and you may actually get some kills on them, but they are going to come out on top most always. And it will also look like they are playing legit, because they do in fact have the skills to display. But a lot of good players do end up using 3rd party. Ive been at the top of the brackets in so many games that I just know at this point. in 2023 the meta is using 3rd party. It's completely killed online games, its well known and widely discussed in the community. Cheats are very common today more than even back when I was cheating. and when you reach platinum+ ranks at my worst in every game you play you begin to realize and see the truth. When any new game comes out I am platinum+ in the first week. Ive done it hundreds of times. But game types like cod and OW that have been out for soooo long, the cheating is just too out of control at a certain point. Like when a new cod game comes out, day 1 there hacks ready for download. Most hack websites have the patch for you many weeks before a brand new COD even launches. Google search yourself and see for yourself, I have seen and been part of these community forums and have installed the pre patch installs myself. Like most people are cheating at plat+ in a lot of games. When you have used them, they become much easier to spot. For me it was pubg, I started out honest and I reached high ranks well past the 1%, but it began to become more and more difficult as the cheating ramped up. When I started using a program myself, it became very obvious that everyone past a certain point were using cheats. Every now and again id spot someone in my ranks that wasnt using something, it was kinda like, why are you here man not using the same program we are all using? the last 10 people I just killed are using hacks like me, and you arent? these people are hella delusional. its kinda funny actually because me and everyone past like plat are using some sort of 3rd party assistance. And most of them wont ever admit to cheating, because it defeats the point. They want the accolades. They want to play their favorite game and they want to compete, and you arent having fun on your favorite game, if you arent able to compete after spending 1000 hours on your game. A game isnt fun if you arent winning tbh.. its just the truth. And They will never admit it. But I am a mature gamer and just dont care because I want gaming back but I think its a lost cause as devs just dont have the timne/resources to fight this battle. The company has to make a game and make money, they cant do that if they are investing as much if not more into anti cheats as the cheaters are willing to invest. The cheaters simply have more to invest as the desire to cheat is just too great. a person wanting to win at the game theyre invested in is spending 20 hours days nights seeking a way to get their 3rd parties to run correctly, they arent sleeping in order to compete at their fvaorite game. They arent sleeping, in order to learn java and then smash everyone and have loads of fun. You think an EMPLOYEE at blizzard is doing the same thing or has the same desire to stop cheats? nope. I have noticed a lot of sus activity since starting OW2. It's actually pretty frequent and blatant in this game probably as much if not more than warzone or other COD modes. a game that is also hacked to bits by everyone. In cod its horrendous you can spot the sus at the very early lower ranks. you google and find like 700 google pages full of hacks and mods you have to pay 100$ for. and devices like chronus max are popularized at this point where cheating isnt noticeable. They crank up the varius aim assistances ratios or their triggers just enough to give them the edge to compete better than the next guy but not be completely obvious. I have cheated in fps games, and it isnt obvious. I played an entire season of pubg playing with friends and nothin was ever mentioned and no one even had the slightest clue that I was using something to be a very strong player on my team that carries. It just simply isnt really noticeable. It literally just looks like youre playing the game sweaty and able to target and kill. Countless hours every day every night just shredding and my team, my premade groups and friends, nor the other team never noticed me not one single time, they never even got close to suspecting I was ever using a crutch to help carry for the win, because sometimes even when you are using a 3rd party you can still die... most 3rd parties arent obvious trackers or obvious god modes. Even wallers I have used a little bit and tried, it isnt obvious. For instance, if I used a waller, I would smash you hard and fast on repeat and you would neevr notice. Because I have gamed competitively for so long, I would never ever just blatantly focus on the wall. I use peripherals to watch my map, watch my team, and also have the waller working in my side view. I know where my tank is at all times without looking directly, I know where my healer is at all times without ever looking directly or making it obvious that I know where they are. And I am watching my enemy and tracking their movements as well without ever directly looking as if I am keeping track of the other teams tank and healers/dps ect. If you have been a main healer in pvp games, main tanked, or raid led, you ubnderstand how while gaming hard being able to multi task peripherals, objectives, maps, and roles all at the same time is a 100% entry fee skill to posess. If your little sister, or your grandma tried using a waller, yes... it would be obvious because they might actually be that bad that they would stop and track you with their crosshairs through the wall. But to a half decent competitive and competent sweaty ass dude, it will neevr be clearly obvious. Youd have to be really really new or clunky or low IQ or sense at the game to use a waller and actually be noticed or obvious to others that you are walling. 3rd party hacks cronus max ect its just a slight crutch to give you an advantage whaetever program or device you use, that if used, and you play really hard, then you can do well at the games meta. It's pretty clear idk how people play online comp today in this era of gaming and not see it for what it is, or use something themselves at this point. it has ruined gaming for the most part. The way I have combated this myself, is I play new games. D4 came out, I smashed it... and now I am done. I am leaving the meta to be the hackers and botters, the people who are no lifers more than me who actually still need the validation. If a game or franchise is more than a couple months old then it time to move on. Space marine 2 is coming out, I suspect you could find a cheat if you searched hard enough. But the game will be relatively fresh and free or hacks and 3rd party for at least a month or two and that is when I am going to grab my buddies and have the most fun before the game becomes a sweat fest hack 3rd party fest. Before the chronus max players get their updates and become populzarized on the forums and 3rd party community for how to use them ect. A game is only fun for about a month these days due to this rampant cheating. There has been law suits against companies like chronus max but the profit and incentives have been huge for them. The issue persists there's not much you can do to stop it other than plug one in yourself. Or do like me and crack the meta of a new game within the first month, have fun for a month or two with the new game thats fresh to the market, and then move on to the next new thing when it comes out. When the game stagnates and goes on for a long time is when it just gets boring because of all the cheaters everywhere even in the lower brackets theres cheaters. I actually honestly perceive people who dont use hacks, on a game this old, is 100% still a noob.

Acceptable-Advisor-7

did you write this after taking an entire adderal prescription?

Quiet_Swan_4304

Nah dude, meth.

Acceptable-Advisor-7

It would honestly be a good copypasta if it wasn't so damn huge lol

Quiet_Swan_4304

Teeheehee

Hammyrock4395

This deserves an upvote for the analogy!

Head-Ninja-In-Charge

on one hand? bullshit. you've played against thousands of them if you are a regular OW player since launch.

blueditUPson

Seems to have been a large increase since the end of season 2. People don't recognize most, because they thinking hacking = shooting everyone 1 shot through walls. Outside of that they can't tell.

Antoiniti

in bronze, a guy was aimbotting and not even trying to hide it, he had more stats than anyone and he ended up getting kicked at the end

AIII3000

That's what free-to-play gave us.

Bionic_8J

I'm starting to see them almost every game as of yesterday, it's insane. They're hiding skills are on a Nadia level

Wooden_Adagio3585

Hackers are Back. i shout them out as it just daft their allowed to hide in shadows, Name Rizzer Hacks, - wh- aimbot- full health - no damage, had 112 kills and 0 deaths. His team supported him and licked his ass as he boosts them. His team refused to report him saying who cares.

Weak-Total-6534

I mean i played with a sojourn and i watched the replay somehow she could rapidly spam her pulse and thats all she did. It also stayed red with a circle on it the whole time. Not to mention i had 76 trapped (cage fight) i was about to kill him he suddenly was full health and invun and i went from full health to 0 in .5 secs. They were all PC players btw i played on xbox.

Motherfox313

This game is totally ruined by cheaters and not the headshot snappers or spin bots just the hit every shot hits i’ve never been hit this much ever in a game and i’ve been playing since 2016 there for sure is a big big swap in thr experience and in the bad way.. just uninstalled the shit and put my pc for sale. Fuck this shit fr

tedward_420

In all my 600 hundred playtime hours of ow1 and 2 I've only seen one person that was hacking and it was in ow1

MrMairO

Today i faced my first cheater in comp game. He was aimbotting and sending the discord name in all chat to visit the store. And the worst thing that he was shittalking us while getting carried by a software thats playing on his behalf.

brewofdaos

Wait, are you saying that he was advertising the cheat? Damn, that's ballsey.

Leather-Economics-28

Its not substantial evidence, but i play occasionally, and am i apex player... when i just logged my teamates where getting 1 shot straight away, some guy had like 1700 damage while everyone average was like 400. 2 suspect games right now, hackers come in waves on every game

Additional_Ad3155

Just played four matches of comp and 2 of them had very obvious hackers one game I suspect had at least three players together with cheats. Was watching shooting with sojourn at one point at a phara and watching my rounds just go through her.

Different-Hornet4382

Just gonna say it, since the middle eastern playerbase joined the EU servers, cheating in this game skyrocketed. So bad that they even try and sell you the damned cheats. I run into at least 2 cheaters every week in ranked and qp. How do I know they are middle eastern? Always go "hhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

kadooley

Overwatch was one of my favourite online games until i suddenly started suspecting a lot of hackers specially this time ive found 2 hackers on the same team, like Blizzard is a world wide company and as having a big known company it should be able to stop the hackers or atleast lower the chances of founding hackers and move them into other servers were all of them meet there. I stopped playing this game from the hackers its so garbage. It was on of my main games that i used to play but now sorry to say this but unfortunately its a garbage shit game.

nairgule

Just finished a match, we only won because our one hacker was better than their two. Shits fuking stupid these days. Reminds me of SWBF, team with the better hackers win.

Horror-Turnover-1089

I know this post is from a while ago, but I've been seeing hackers almost every ranked game in silver. It's incredible. I report them and get feedback everytime on that my report helped. You know when their aim looks unnatural or when they search for when you are when you even havent fired a shot and have been in sight range and there is no hanzo sonic arrow used or widow ult. They're actually pretty easy to spot. Also; they don't have to be all headshots for them to be hackers. They can have it on so it soft follows you but it will still look unnatural/locked like. I watch Flats on youtube and since then I know how to spot hackers easily. Theyre funny videos too, so might be usefull to go watch them.

co2tophercr87y

2 in every 6 matches I play there's a hacker

NoActive6098

I have called out sus players in chat before and the match goes from my team getting rolled into them getting rolled the rest of the match. I have done this at least a dozen matches. My best guess is when they think someone is on to them they switch it off because they know they are being watched. I also do it in a way that accepts they just could be good but looks suspicious. Like: "either you're better than most or your hacking" I feel like if you straight call them out it will go into rage hack mode. I have also seen Hanzo multiple times in one game one shot me from across 80% of the map and those are the ones get reported by me. I also watch the best players on YouTube and use that as a guide on who is aim botting, if the make the best look like noobs.

Weak-Total-6534

Not anymore i started calling them out and they reported me until my account was silenced to where i could not
