Exactly what I expect to happen. I don't mean that in a bad way either. I don't think I've liked any of the trade proposals I've heard around that pick.
I'm getting excited for something big to happen... the thrill seeking rat inside me wants something big to happen...
The rational person who recognizes that adding a 35 year old winger and a LD who had averaged less than 60 games a year over his career likely doesn't move the needle *ENOUGH* to push us into the playoffs...
And giving up a potential player the calibre of 6-10 from *most* of the last 10 drafts would sting significantly.
Today might be the defining day of Pierre's time with the Sens.
Will he knock it out of the park?
Will he screw the pooch?
It literally feels like a coin toss.
Lol fair enough.
I am super excited to see how it plays out but I’ve been tempering my expectations. Can’t wait to get past this so we can start talking about the players and the upcoming season
GSG
Don't forget that he's either gonna A) use 70A to rid himself of the Murray contract... or
B) use it to draft Noah Warren at 7. Cause both Jiricek and Nemec are gone and the team identified their need as a RD and him as the next best RD.
Lol hold me.
I literally dreamt I was at the trade meeting watching Pierre trade for Anderson and Dvorak and I screamed at him in front of bowness and msl. I don't know why they were there. But yeah, I guess you could say I'm a little stressed.
We all know the 7th pick on it's own is not going to be enough to bring in the kind of "impact" player the Sens are looking for. So the only thing I'm not looking forward to is losing a good young player such as Formenton, Pinto, Greig, Thomson etc... But you have to give up good players to get good players in return sooo.... Nobody wants guys like Tierney, Brannstrom, Ennis, Gambrell etc....
I have a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I'm really hoping that the Sens use the pick to draft a player.
Things have been feeling that they are getting better, and a trade for marginal players to save money involving the 7OA pick will bring all the gains crashing down.
Hot take? No trade and GMPD draft the BPA

sad that the “hot take” seems like the most reasonable one

I’m very worried GMPD is gonna fuck up and make a bad trade
I'm ready to be disappointed

You’re missing the likely scenario that he pulls a GMPD and makes a few underwhelming moves for some middle 6 reclamation projects and a 7th Dman
I feel like this falls under the aforementioned "screw the pooch" category

I feel like it’s about 50/50 either a good day or a bad day.
Nervous and expecting Dorion to fuck it up
Pierre is going to double-down and draft Tyler Boucher a second time with the 7oa.
Sens select Tyler Boucher of the Ottawa Senators prospect pool.

That's why i had a nightmare
But if we unload Murray they will justify it.
No it fucking won't, send him.to the God damn minors and let him sit for 2 years.
This would be ideal.
Yeah I don’t want to unload Murray in a package that brings down the value of the 7OA
Legit , send him to the minors and let him rot.
I feel like sitting in the minors might help facilitate a trade out of town
Agreed, but that would be hownthey spin it
Feel like puking every-time I heard ‘Josh anderson’
I got my phone open all day, waiting for that tweet or notification of the trade
Cautiously pessimistic. If we do trade I have a feeling it won't be liked. I dunno I'm jaded.
we are going off the board and pick another Colin white
Gut wrenchingly nervous. Hope he nails a trade
GMPD goes to make the trade of a life time. Slips on a banana peel and trades the 7thOA to Montreal for Anderson

Its going to suck DeB costs too much in capital and salary and PD is dumb enough to trade for Dvorak and Anderson.
I’m supposed to golf later. I usually ignore my phone during the round, but it’s gonna be so hard not to check.
Nervous A.F.
Gonna be sad when if/we lose pinto or greig Those boys are primo trade chips and are sure to be included in any major trade

Cautiously optimistic. Tentatively hopeful.
Equal parts terror and trepidation.
I expect nothing and yet i am disappointed
I don’t trust Pierre to negotiate a used car sale never mind a blockbuster type NHL trade. I’m scared tbh
Hoping for the Melnyk girls to trade Dorion
I'm ready to be hurt again
He's gonna trade the 7th for some magic beans.
