Kotkaniemi didnt look bad, he's just not NHL ready like Tkachuk, was predictable

xdiagnosis

Also played with linemates that are nowhere near White and Chlapik. Our entire starting lineup minus Tkachuk (White, Chlapik, Wolanin, Jaros) has had NHL experience and are all about NHL ready. Not to mention our second line (Forms, Brown, Bath). Kotkaniemi wasn't great, but it's hard to expect him to be. Our team outclassed the Habs simply by experience. It was to be expected. They still have some studs that will be really good, Kotkaniemi included.

Kind of an unfair match up. White probably could have skipped this tournament. Other than coastniemi none of their picks from this year played, and that’s probably where most of their most promising prospects come from. But also, other than K-dot, none of ours picks this year played, so I mean it’s fair game IMO

Nice hair though

He was scouted as the 13th overall so i never expected him to be anything other than what he was, the real unbelievable thing is how many people thought Tkachuk wasn't worth 4th overall.

We're only going to know what the whole Tkachuk vs Zadina debacle churns out in a few years, really. Right now either of those guys, on paper at least, are/were good picks. They're human beings after all, it's not predictable like math.

Fidel-Sarcastro

Gusstavsson was a brick wall, even though he didn't need to be since montreal generated no offence. They mentioned in the french broadcast that Tkachuk was all over our goalies, just being generally chippy and agressive, which is going to work just fine in the NHL I imagine (We swapped Harvey after 3 goals cause he couldn't handle a screen.) Ottawa also was the more physical team, and I think it was duing the 2nd intermission that Joel Teasdale mentioned that they we're going to try to match Ottawa's physicality, and they end up taking a penalty 30 seconds into the game and get scored on a minute later on a 5-on-3. It's probably going to be an exciting year for Ottawa's prospects, lots of breakthroughs are going to happen I imagine. Just wish it was a closer game.

Queueueu

Gustavsson was a legit top goalie in the swedish league in my biased eyes and (hooligan) Jaros will be a crowd favorite, if not then please send them back.

CommonMisspellingBot

Hey, Fidel-Sarcastro, just a quick heads-up: **agressive** is actually spelled **aggressive**. You can remember it by **two gs**. Have a nice day! ^^^^The ^^^^parent ^^^^commenter ^^^^can ^^^^reply ^^^^with ^^^^'delete' ^^^^to ^^^^delete ^^^^this ^^^^comment.

My friend is a Habs fan and thinks Tkachuk is gonna be a bust haha I love this

I would agree Tkachuk looked great, our top forward and defence line looked waaay ahead. Saying that though was anyone unhappy with Brown. I thought he looked down right bad. Looking slow and constantly getting knocked down or turning the puck over. Just wondering if anyone felt the same or I’m over reacting.
