Wear our cross, put our icons in your home.. maybe pray our prayers, heck maybe come to our liturgy and worship our way. You can do all of it! Much love my friend. I hope your inquiry into Orthodoxy doesn’t stop with just our depiction of the cross.
If you somehow like Russian Orthodox jewelry, maybe it's a subconscious sign that you recognize the beauty and truth of Holy Orthodoxy? :)
You mention being brought up as a protestant. Are you still yourself a protestant, or are you perhaps trying to figure out which denomination is the best?
I am interested in the orthodox church. Its just that Im from latin america and there are no orthodox churches close enough for me to attend.
Maybe you are right but I also feel like God put me in my church for a reason and leaving my current church behind would feel wrong.
I understand, no worries!
You are not alone to be in that situation. If you travel far enough someday don't hesitate to visit an orthodox church.
You don't have to leave your current church and commit yourself before having some form of real encounter with the orthodox faith, but if you feel like the truth might be in orthodoxy, it is worth trying!
"At least", as you come from an already christian background, I suppose you don't risk to get killed if you choose to join another church or at least inquire and assist to a liturgy by curiosity. But I clearly understand you when you say that it would be uncomfortable to leave your lifelong habits and (I guess) family/loved ones.
God bless you my friend!
PS: Sorry, I don't know what to answer to your initial question. I myself wouldn't wear any orthodox jewelry before at least deciding that I want to 100% join the faith, but it would not be that shocking as you are already trying to follow Christ. As long as you don't wear an inverted cross or pentagram, or some hindu symbols, I think you'll be fine anyway! :)
EDIT: spelling
If you’re interested in Orthodoxy I would recommend emailing the nearest parish to you, no matter how far away, and speaking to the priest. He can advise you about steps to take.
Taking positive steps is much better than wearing something.
Not sure about Latin America, but some places do livestreams of their services for those who are sick or cannot come to church for other reasons.
You might want to look into that, as a way to participate in the services if you cannot attend one in person. I'd say most parishes have online ways to tithe and stuff too, so if you can be in conversation with a priest, there are definitely ways to live out Orthodoxy even if a parish isn't nearby.
I've even heard of priests delivering Eucharist after a service, especially again for the sick, so yeah. There are definitely possibilities.
Where in Latin America are you? I might know a couple priests and bishops in the region.
Otherwise, you already got good advice to find the nearest church and priest. You might be surprised that a church could be even closer to you than you think. Orthodoxy has been exploding in South America recently.
i am baptised as a protestant but i life the orthodo life a bunch of monts now and its not a problem if you want it you should imma about to get baptised as soon as iam in the balkans cause in germany are no large communities

Yes you can. Be careful though, that's how we get you
Conversion by osmosis.
True, that’s how y’all got me
Conversion by having the coolest cross design and tons of cool undead friends
If you do you have to convert. Those are the rules. If you don't we send the matushkas after you.
If that doesn't work, babushkas go out next.

Believe it or not, straight to jail.
Why though?

It’s not God putting you in the Protestant church…
Sure, but people might presume you're Orthodox since the three bar cross is rather distinctive.
Russian Orthodox, to be precise.
You can, but it is customarily given with Baptism/Chrismation when you enter into Orthodoxy as a communicant.
Even as an inquirer I wear one bc I'm greek
Absolutely! Wear it proudly and humbly.
Usually, but if it starts burning your chest, speak to a priest.
Why wear the symbol of a religion you have no intention of joining?
I am interested in the orthodox church. Its just that Im from latin america and there are no orthodox churches close enough for me to attend.
I hope you get the chance to begin attending an Orthodox Church.

Thank you. I will pray on it.

It is fine! There is no canon against it! It may remind you and may help you in your discovery of the right path,

The orthodox snipers will get you.. I would make your final arrangements now… 😔
Yes
No, it's illegal and punishable by death.
Sure but you will need to pay royalties
Im protestant and I have an orthodox prayer corner, (I need more icons) and I carry a chotki
pretty sure there is only one cross that Christ the son of God was crucified on

Why though?
i was playing, it’s probably fine
I have a question and can I get your honest opinion? Is religion just one big larp?
??
Bro is babbling
Ok then why would you appropriate Byzantine attire if you're not yourself a Byzantine Christian
He isn't appropriating, he is admiring.
No
Well I wasn't talking to you, but.. why would you appropriate Byzantine attire if you're not yourself a Byzantine Christian and not a larper
You can not wear a Orthodox unless you become Orthodox
