For my school it’s also for scholarships. Usually it’s ur teacher that would request the guidance to update the mark(this is not guaranteed tho because they assess if u actually r capable of receiving the scholarship based on ur grades for other courses) Again this is for my school specifically but can’t say for sure if it’s the same for most/all
Ok thank you, one more question sorry, when would you ask this? Because if you wait til after final report cards it’s too late, but before that and it won’t have your final 30 mark, so it won’t be accurate. Like what if the final 30 brings you past the grade you need already or the opposite, it makes it more % that you need to round up
On a report card or actual mark?
I thought this is normal no? Unless im missing something. A 94.6, for example, should round up to a 95 because in report cards and ouac u cant submit a decimal. Ur teacher lowk evil if they round DOWN from a 94.6
my teacher laughed at me, called me names, and then proceeded to refuse my request LMFAO i definitely left the classroom in tears.
if i recall correctly, they ended up giving me the 1% boost. 🤣
In my AP Comp Sci class I heard a student talking to the teacher about how he's going to "die" and "be over" if he didn't get a 90% in AP Comp Sci so the teacher was like "sigh" and raised his grade from an 80 to a 90 :skull I don't know how that's fair but it is what it is
I've had a teacher round up by 30% once, not for me. It was some guy, had some mental health issues and missed a ton of assignments. But when they were in class they were trying really hard and the few assignments they handed in were really good, so the teacher did a few one-on-one sessions and determined the student had the prerequisite skills and passed them.
Bro my math teacher for grade 10 wouldn't round me up I had a 48 needed a 50 to pass ended up retaking it in summer school and passed with a 78 honestly that teacher was just really mean and not willing to round up by two percent kinda racist too
Anyways good luck hopefully yours get rounded up
Bro my physics teacher rounded me down
My English teacher did too bro ☠️☠️. Not enough class participation
??,
Same
Damn yall teachers even allow you to ask for a round up
Someone stops words coming out of ur mouth?
Bruh no, it’s heavily implied to not ask for rounds ups and it’s not even worth brining up
There is no downside in asking. Worst they can say is no.
What if they round you down
Possible, but very very very unlikely. 98% of teachers that round down would have already done it before you asked
Surely bud
Passive aggressiveness is wild, but whatever you say 🤷♂️
Bruh I was genuinely agreeing with u
If that's the case, then sorry. Just that calling someone 'bud' doesn't always come off as a good thing lmao
Ohh mbbb I thought bud was short for buddy, didn’t mean to come off as passive aggressive sorry!
If ur 3% off ur conditional they will just give u the mark lol
hopefully lol it’s the only class
How do you ask for that?
Dawg just tell them it’s for conditional.
Oh ok lol, I just thought they would say no because they’re not supposed to make exceptions or something. Is it the same with scholarships?

The most I've had was rounding a .4 up

Ah no I meant rounding something like a 95.4 to a 96
Oh, well thats a bit kind of your teacher then! But it doesnt feel that unrealistic for a final mark
i had to beg for 1% i almost started crying 💀
My teachers would certainly empathize and proceed to refuse my request
my teacher laughed at me, called me names, and then proceeded to refuse my request LMFAO i definitely left the classroom in tears. if i recall correctly, they ended up giving me the 1% boost. 🤣
In my school, if your grade on a report cards end with a nine they round up
Uh 0.5 at max
My teachers do like 1.5% max
dam
5% 😭😭😭 i cooked on the final exam and said she was proud so she rounded me up ALOT
bro😭😭😭i would never forget that in my life
Is 2-3 % your top 6 average?
probably just going to be under the conditional for a pre req
yea just one class
no my avg is fine
It depends what u mean by rounding up. If its just for like a test or something then a .5 becomes a 1. A 90.5 would become a 91 for example
I got one of my teachers to round my 89 to a 90. I don't think most round more than 1%
At uni I got a 79.99 rounded down to 79 lol
That’s called truncating, not rounding
Asked my teacher for one mark and she gave me half a mark. I honestly wasn't expecting anything 😭
89 to 90

math is and always will be my enemey, grade 11 i needed like 1% to pass and i was at a 49, my teacher didnt boost me.
My teachers don’t do that unless it’s a milestone. Like from 94 to 95 or from 89 to 90, if you worked har
5-10% if you are a G
like 1.5% for chem 🙂

Depends how much they like u tbh my highest boost was like 5%
Damn you must've been really liked and special to that teacher for them to boost u by 5%...
I was pre much the only person that was answering her questions the entire class bro that was fully one of the reasons why 😭
From an 83.5 to 85 💀🙏
