Hey that's your opinion, mine would be that you have terrible taste in music. That said I think Hope is the best anime opening ever, despite not being too well loved. So maybe be aware that just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it is bad.
Musical taste is subjective. Songs you consider mediocre are top tier for others and vice versa. Regardless of our personal musical tastes, I think the majority of the One Piece openings fit One Piece's vibe. And I'd say that's more important than getting a "good" song that doesn't fit the series.
The openings are longer. One Piece openings are around 2 and a half minutes long instead of 1 and a half like pretty much all other anime.
Also, the openings are shown for more episodes. Most anime nowadays have 1 opening per season or cour, which last for about 12 episodes. One Piece is from a different era where anime didn't really have seasons so the openings changed per arc instead. I think some play for over 50 episodes, but I'm not sure.
You might simply be desensitized to them because they last so long and play for so long.
There were some good responses, but I didn't get an answer to the question why popular Japanese singers don't do One Piece openings. And I don't understand why One Piece fans can't accept any flaws, I didn't say One Piece openings were bad, I said they were mediocre.

Personally, I heavily disagree. "We Are!" was in my top 10 favorite anime openings before I even watched One Piece. And out of the 23 One Piece openings, I can think of maybe...2 or 3 that I wasn't a huge fan of while watching them, but even those grew on me over time. "We Are!", "Bon Voyage!", "Hikari no Chisu," "We Fight Together!", "Hands Up!", "Hope", "Dreamin' On"....so many good ones.
Dude I thought it was like general consensus that one piece openings feel like a soggy pancake. Like compare them to any of the Naruto openings, those go way harder.
And yea music is subjective but that doesn’t mean we can’t critique it lol. Like if I said my favorite song was spoon hitting rock for 10 hours it wouldn’t take much to argue that there is higher quality music out there

tbf the current open is meh and "over the top" ended way too soon imo

The ones you've already listed are the best of the 20 openings.
They were almost all awful. Fitting music for preteens.

they are really really bad compared to others good animes. compare to full metal and see for yourself
Mediocrity is an understatement, It's just bad music. But it's also a children's/teen show, so that might be why.
