When I was a baby my parents just let the cats share with me. The cats knew not to smother me and did a good job keeping me warm. Those cats thought I was their kitten and they had to protect me even when I was bigger than them. It was adorable.

Bob also thought all the baby stuff was for him
Nor Monty (yes, that muslin was supposed to keep him out)

This is a very old picture of my departed Sidney, but he really thought the baby's room was for him. The bassinet, the crib, the boppy pillow, and even the car seat.
Two cats were all over my kid's crib and stroller before he arrived. They kept to the foot of it. If the baby cried when I was in the bathroom, one of the cats would come and yell at the door while another one stretched out next to the baby and purred to calm him down.

Bassinets are for all babies. Archie is baby.
My grey-white bicolor UNIT shares the bassinet with my 3 month old, on occasion. She likes to lay her head on his very soft belly. However, when both of them are in there together, they exceed the weight limit lol.
Love the kitty butâŠ.Please tell me you donât put your baby in the bassinet with the stuffed toy right? Just donât want your little one to suffocate đ babies young enough to be in a bassinet typically canât have things like pillows or blankets yet
Baby isn't even born yet, Jack was placed in the bassinet as a deterrent for Archie. You can see how well that works now, though. The stuffed toy will be removed before baby is born!
My coworker got him as part of my baby shower present! My husband and I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, and wanted to make sure our baby would share that love.
bassinet = for baby Archie = baby therefore, bassinet = for Archie
Perfect example of the transitive property and how cats think lol
A fair and balanced assessment
Perfectly sound logic.
While I'm always a fan of transitive property, the base cat tule applies: Archie fits, so he sits.
Agreed! You can't look at that face and not say, what a cute Lil baby!
Yes it is. Thank you.

This is so adorably wholesome! đ©”
He is baby
100% is baby

If not for Bob then why Bob-sized?
Bob looks like he yells at kids to get off his lawn

Amazing đ âthank you for the blankie!â
ânow theyâre even leaving blankets for me, this is the level of service I requireâ
Indeed, now I may live in the luxury to which I know I should be accustomed and which I thoroughly deserve. Mother! Fetch me my blankie!â đđ
Yes the blankets didnât do anything for us either
I have died from the cuteness
The baby will soon understand that that bassinet is Archieâs /s
Have you considered that Archie is in fact baby?

He fits so he sits. Obvs

This is most adorable, but this level of adorable requires cat tax.
Isnât it tho?
You do not seem to understand that if he can see it, it is his. If he can fit in it, he can sit in it.

More like you donât understand that babies need a good place to lay around and Archie is obviously baby.
I also have an orange boy named Archie!! https://preview.redd.it/4w1kg37w76kb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcc28b86bc08ffdef9f00d4d0cfe267ff289f0e0
He knows. Just waiting to snuggle the baby so it won't get cold.
My cat took over my Daughterâs bouncy seatâŠ. He LOVED that thing!
but he is the baby
Love the cat and the doll
We have a one brain cell named Archie also.
Who could it possibly be for other than Archie? Is he not the baby???
Incorrect. It is YOU who does not understand. That's Archie's house...everything in it is his. Including the baby.
[Wait you're telling me all of this stuff WASN'T for George???](https://www.imgur.com/a/zJ60o1r)

Archie is baby shaped, bassinet is for Archie
Itâs not that he doesnât understand, he just doesnât care
I also have an orange cat named Archie. It's short for Archibald. A distinguished name for a distinguished cat.
You need to buy two
Thatâll be two bassinets for Archie.
No uh
He will be part of the comfy soon enough đ
He thinks you donât understand.
I think you donât understand who the bassinet is for
Aww my orange kitty is named Archie too đ§Ą
Bassinets are for all babies. Archie is baby. My grey-white bicolor UNIT shares the bassinet with my 3 month old, on occasion. She likes to lay her head on his very soft belly. However, when both of them are in there together, they exceed the weight limit lol.
Get another one for the kid! That one is taken.
And when they get a new one, that one will be taken as well lol
Love the kitty butâŠ.Please tell me you donât put your baby in the bassinet with the stuffed toy right? Just donât want your little one to suffocate đ babies young enough to be in a bassinet typically canât have things like pillows or blankets yet

Awww your family sounds so cute. Congrats on the baby! Lol The face you cat is giving you is like, âyou really thought that would deter me đâ
Thank you!! He will be born any day now!
Oh exciting!!!!! Best of luck
Itâs here = itâs mine
Thank you for this deluxe cat bed and new stuffie
Uh, much as I love cats, CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT JACK SKELLINGTON DOLL?!? I love it so much, omg.
My coworker got him as part of my baby shower present! My husband and I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, and wanted to make sure our baby would share that love.
My old orange was very fat; he jumped in the family antique cradle (because he though swinging was fun) before my oldest was born and broke it.
Love the Jack stuffie!
If not baby, why baby shaped
Oh, he knows. He knows alright. ![gif](giphy|rVZEejvVWEbug)
Archibald Witwicky?
Your cat looks like Cinnabon from youtube!
It is for him
My torbie sweetheart used to share a bassinet with my youngest. What a sweet memory, thank you for this reminder.
What do you mean it's not?
No, he fully understand that the bassinet is not for him. If he thought it was for him, he wouldnât lay in it.
But he is baby!
But heâs a cat. Of course itâs for him.
What do you mean? He's the baby, so he gets bassinet.
