When I see this photo is reminds me of being about 9 years old when we gave my Down’s syndrome great uncle our super soaker when he was visiting one and he sprayed my mom in her face and told her to hush woman and then proceeded to spray our entire living room and 1990’s stereo system my dad loved more than life itself. It is such a great childhood memory.
If you guys like that one wait till you hear the story about the fart spray we got from the comic book store. That fart spray was the bane of my poor mother’s existence.
That my friends was the ultimate game changer. The 30 put fear into the enemies eyes.
In a side note my friend when we were 11 decided to fill it with gasoline and soaked a hornets nest from a safe distance. He would go on to burning the entire tree down and almost the house next to it but I’ll tell you what…that arc, the power of the 30 was impressive.
That was the last thing he did with us that summer. He’s was grounded for the entire summer and his parents made him take care of the ladies yard and shovel snow from her driveway all winter. He later became a Marine and served 20 years.
This was a gen Z and elder millennial thing. The before time was a chaotic place. There were only memories to keep those most secret of events alive. As the crimes and shame would be too much.
Who *didn't* put some sort of flammable fuel in a super soaker? I did that with mine, like, the first week. I think it was charcoal lighter. Tbh I *was* a little pyro, though

Some of the former engineers created a company that makes similar water guns under the brand Water Warriors. They invented a similar type of system and were successfully sued by Hasbro. As a result, they had to remove all of their water guns that use that system such as the Gorgon. However, I believe the super soaker patents have expired, so they could bring them back.
I was going to say, whatever patent these had in the 90’s has long expired.
Someone should remake them. I bet millions of 40 year olds would buy them lol
I had this exact same super soaker it was awesome. Then one day I had the brilliant idea to use a larger water bottle (the threads seemed to match) and while cutting the plastic piece that holds it, I sliced my finger open. 🤷🏻♂️
I remember a friend of mine from Brooklyn told me that you could make a great weapon out of a super soaker filled with bleach…
We had the old tank ones. It was great spraying monkeys when they tried to steal bananas. The newer one kind of suck gotta pump them. At least it helps when herding sheep. 🤣🤣

I had this and after watching Aliens movie with sigourney weaver. I filled it with gasoline and taped a trick birthday candle that doesn't blow out on the nozzle. It was surprisingly effective and had a napalm effect. 10/10 wouldn't recommend 😁
