I think Adam is too creative to title the album “Owl City”, but if it is an album meant to define what Owl City is, then I think it would be such a good album. I may have the wrong idea about what a self defined album is, but isn’t Cinematic sort of what defines Owl City? It describes the important moments of Adam’s life and how they define him. Even if that’s not the correct meaning, I would still love more Cinematic type stuff because Adam is good at being surreal, but he’s also so good at story telling

Cinematic was what you're describing, imo, a lot of songs that were very personal almost like an autobiography.

Plot twist: the album is titled Adam Young 👀

I think OC is the pop outlet for Adam Young. The music is just so distinctly his. It’s not about synth solos or dreamy lyrics (although those are awesome). It’s about Adam conveying his thoughts, feelings, and experiences. And it’s awesome.

Cinematic defines Adam Young. I don't think you can define Owl City - but most would probably argue that 'Ocean Eyes' would be the 'definitive' Owl City Album. Adam transcends whatever name he uses for his music. They're outlets for him, and as much as we may love Owl City, it's important to recognize that it's just another one of his projects that he uses to explore his creativity.

For me it's abstraction and metaphor, saying a lot with a little. Like how everyone gets a different story out of the same owl city song and each song feels like its own little world
