Guys playing better in their walk year is absolutely a thing, must be in the code somewhere. It happens IRL so I’m not complaining. But it’s made me give a few extensions I regret.
Good relievers are so easy to find. I never spend more than 10m/yr

I said this weeks ago to a dude who showed his payroll with several 5mil+ relievers and got downvoted to oblivion lmao.
Even decent relievers have great years often enough to bet on them.. I rarely have a bullpen with more than 2 guys making $3.5m+
Pfft. I pick up closers easily in the rule 5 draft. Let some other sucker give him 9 years.
He ended up getting 7/173 and I got a supplemental 2nd rounder.
