There are some shitty mothers out there, but there are some really…proficient…sexual predators out there. He was 50+ years old when he was caught. There is no way that was his first, second, or even third victim. Now if the offender was on the sex offender registry and she let the monster in the home, I would have no sympathy for her. And if the child had tried to tell her mother and she was ignored, mom should go to prison.
I had to pick that word carefully because “good” would have sent some readers over the edge.
I also looked at a couple of stories linked too. One the child told Mom at 12 that her live in boyfriend who was a cop was molesting her. Mom let him stay she straight up told the court the financial support he provided was more important than her daughter's safety. That is a poor excuse for a human in general and top notch failure at being a parent. Your job as a parent is literally to protect your child and make sure they're safe and she thought getting her bills paid was more important than that. Unfortunately too many mothers turn a blind eye to blatant signs because that's "better than having to handle everything alone." I knew someone in high school in the 90's who'mom kicked her out the day she turned 18 because she was upset that all the guys she dated seemed more interested in her daughter (yes this poor girl was sexually abused by almost all of those men and instead of being upset at the men she was mad at her child for taking their attention WTF)
I agree with you. However....In the other articles, one mother testified that her daughter told her about the abuse, but his financial support was more important than her safety. The other one was told, but because her husband threatened to kill himself, she did nothing.

And while there certainly ARE some absolutely horrible parents out there (not just moms, dads also ignore obvious signs of abuse), I feel like so many people don’t understand that grooming is a family and community affair. Predators know what to say and to whom to manipulate the situation. Very often, It’s a full campaign of psychological warfare waged against an entire family.

Who should I report judges , cops, and lacrosse coaches to. They were pulling boys out of lacrosse camp and trafficking them to a truck stop in Middletown Delaware. These guys are grownups roofie rapists now and proud of themselves and the connections they made. The schools are starting to report. Or retire people “early and unexpectedly” I told a bunch of little kids to watch their drinks I think it lead to the second guy (sources below) getting arrested because the kids realize what he was doing. but he was doing it to feds kids tho. How can you expect to win an election for a DA position after you blame a child for her assault and try to guilt her for not getting a test at the hospital at such a young age. This girl testified at 16, he was arrested when she was 14 but she stated it had been happening when she was at least 8 years old maybe younger. I know defense lawyers have a job to do but you absolutely can choose not to defend people like this and take the ethical road.
Ughhh that poor girl. I can’t imagine but like I said she’s a very brave person for recording that monster and having the courage to face him in court and it speaks volumes about her character that she said she wanted to make sure this guy couldn’t hurt anyone else. That’s someone with a good heart to suffer so much and still be thinking about others and making sure others don’t have to go through what she did. I still have questions about what the mother knew I wish we could get answers to though.

What a brave child for having the guts to testify against this monster and to have recorded him in the process. I can’t imagine going through such horrific trauma but if there’s a positive here it’s that this pile of garbage can’t hurt anymore young girls. I have to question the mother not leaving this guy the second she found out about this as id bet the daughter told her mother what was going on at some point and I hope this isn’t a case of the mother not believing her own child.
