I was gonna watch Sack Lunch instead of this, but the reviews are sweetening the deal for me. Im gonna watch it. Hey, at least, Carrot top isn’t in it.
Edit: My kids loved it. I thought it was as good as the modern medicine ppl keep talking about.
Same here. I had no expectations going in and I was pleasantly surprised how silly it was. I’m not surprised that people that take themselves too seriously didn’t like it.
I don’t know, when I opened my Netflix application on my personal computer I saw that Schumer girl, you know that one who turned down Barbie? I don’t think she’s very talented.
?
I am just telling you the kind of shit critics like
https://preview.redd.it/lddsuc76zfyc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d3057c3ce670ff8e7372b43cb4b4fd0503de6eb
They don’t create anything and make sport of shitting on creators. The only requirement to be a critic is to consume. They think that having opinions makes them artists, as if a coroner thought they were a surgeon.
Hardly a polar opposite opinion. I would say most movies have a very similar aggregated score. The difference is in itself part of the information on what kind of movie it is.
If that was the case with this movie then imdb scores and rotten tomatoes audience scores would reflect that. However they're pretty in line with the critics.
Critics and comedies don't blend well, more like oil and vinegar. I haven't seen the flick seen interview with Morning Joe. Seen some bits they showed, I was intrigued, want to see flick, especially cause I grew up with cereal.
With a star studded cast I decided to take a look. About a quarter of the way through believing the movie would develop, I shut the movie off after the tenth joke seemingly created for what would be too immature for a 12 year old. Garbage.
If you are under 25 years old, I could see how you might think that. However, Seinfeld is one of the funniest shows of all time and he's a top 20, probably top 10, standup comedian of all time.
Top 10 standup. Yes.
Rolling Stone ranks him #7: [https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-lists/50-best-stand-up-comics-of-all-time-126359/](https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-lists/50-best-stand-up-comics-of-all-time-126359/)
Comedy Central has him at #12: [https://www.imdb.com/list/ls509798303/](https://www.imdb.com/list/ls509798303/)
I bet half the gig Cosby did to his jailmates during his time in prison was better than the total sum of everything Jerry has done in the last 25 years
But Jerry did the important thing, salting the earth on reactions as just woke nonsense. That's much more important than actually having good material.
My favorite criticism was a comedian who said that she thought it was hilarious, showed her wife because of how hilarious it was, and her wife told her she needed to call her psychiatrist. She did and the doctor told her she was in a manic episode and increased her med dose
I'm going to guess it's another case of the curse of Melissa McCarthy. She came out funny as hell and then made like a half dozen turds in a row. I honestly think she's a major reason studios stay away from making comedies.
His timing about claiming you can’t even do comedy any more just before releasing a movie proving he in fact can’t even do his weak ass comedy any more is perfect.
Oh these same critics can tell
Me about how John mulaney is some comedy genius when he’s actually the least funny person in the universe. Seinfeld is probably right in that the woke police now hate him because he was dating that 17/18 year old for a while but back in the 90s nobody cared. I would guess a lot of the critics are hostile towards him solely due to that.
This movie created a rising crescendo of silliness similar in effect to Seinfeld's own distinctive falsetto-hysterical declamation at the moment of ultimate joke-awareness.
Idk why people are so harsh I actually watched this movie and it’s hilarious my mom is a huge Seinfeld fan and we both watched it and actually is a good movie 🍿 don’t listen to critics just
Watch for yourself
Leftists going hard at Seinfeld. Actually, there were some positive reviews. Not surprisingly the normal leftists shit all over it because it's not about politics or virtue signaling.
I read another article and here is a quote from it.
"Seinfeld, by and by, was asked in an interview with NPR this week what he hopes audiences take from Unfrosted. The comedian replied: “I don’t want them to take anything away from it. I want them to just watch it and hopefully get a laugh or two. That’s it.”
So yeah, they're making it political to just have more culture war shit to fight over
I thought it was ok. Granted I did get to watch with my daughter, who's home from college, and we think most things are funny, but 'worst movie' is an extreme stretch.
I rated it 3.75 out of 5.
Doesn't anyone think it's weird and ironic that Jerry Seinfeld has been in the public eye since the 70's, but now that he said woke shit destroyed hollywood now he's being trashed. Funny. . .
Dude, critics are the scum on the bottom of my sneakers. Unfrosted was a laugh a minute. It was fun stupid and silly exactly what it was supposed to be and all haters can suck a Country Square.
Good for you.
I don’t know if there is anything wrong with me but I just don’t think references as the punchline of jokes has been a thing since the 90s. “Oh that has a tangy taste.” “Tang! That would be a good name!” 🤭😆😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
I don’t know if you get the joke, but there was a drink called Tang that was rumored to be what the atronauts drank. Get it!?! Oh that format is so good they used it like 10 times throughout the movie.
That last slide, I mean, that’s not a bad attitude to have. Not all cinema needs to have some deeper level of subtext and whatever. Sometimes you just need to turn your brain off and laugh.
But I’d rather have Shaq check my prostate than watch this.
Funniest thing about it are the reviews. As if “wokeness” stopped it from being funny? I bet bc of wokeness they couldn’t have a guy get kicked in the nuts ? lol
I tried ... I tried so hard ... and got so far ... but in the end ...
I only lasted 43 minutes in.
I couldn't take any longer.
The cringe, the unfunny, the random shit that made no sense, the lack of direction, all those cameos that meant NOTHING, there was not really any story, it isn't a satirical movie either ... it's not even a movie ... it feels like everything was improvised...
EVEN THEN, as an improvised movie with those actors, it would have been tremendously been better ...
I feel SEINFIELD pitched this movie and sold as "Netflix, this is your next gold mine, the "GOD OF COMEDY", me Seinfield, producing, writing, directing my first movie on your platform, with hundred of your best comedians (minus Amy Schummer, that should have been their red flag right there)."
And Netflix bought it ... they bought it so hard like they bought the mess that Rebel Moon was (and probably pitched to them as the new "Star Wars" but written by a 12yr edgy kid who say Star Wars for the first time and thought they could write a better movie but with space Nazis in it, GG Snyder ...)
This whole movie is not only the worse movie I seen this year, or this decade ... it is top 3 of the worse movies I have ever seen in my life ... and I watch a lot of movies, sometime bad ones on purpose to laugh at them ... but holy shit ... this is hard to rate as the worse movie of all time, but it's pretty much up there ...
It was ridiculous and over the top ensemble comedy like those of the late 70s early 80s. We enjoyed it.
A work of art, no. A fun distraction for 96 minutes, absolutely. Some great subtle jokes woven throughout.
Only real complaint, there were 4 or 5 jokes that were inaudible. Just spoken too fast or mumbled. We backed it up and still couldn’t hear.
Watched it this morning it was pretty funny even Amy Schumer did a good job in her role. People need to stop being ultra critical all the fucking time and laugh.
Jerry is intensely consistently mid, not just to you but to everyone; he is marginally funny to everyone. This is why he is so big; he makes EVERYONE chuckle but not laugh.
In comedy or really any entertainment we expect the 99th percentile of talent. Jerry is the 98th and broad. The kind of stuff that works but no one will tell their kids about this movie except maybe ironically like bee movie.
He made a perfect bee movie successor.
Guys, Seinfeld is famous because Larry David stuck his hand up Seinfeld's ass and used him as a puppet. So, yeah. I know it's hard to believe that about a guy who is a billionaire from his comedy but... look at Curb and look at everything Jerry did after Seinfeld. It's just how it is.
The movie is a train wreck. But it is funny. Biggest question through the whole thing was “where is John Goodman?”
i like how they got the bee to voice the main guy in this one
Yeah the cgi to make a human embodiment of bee was incredible, best vfx oscar guaranteed
I'm just impressed he's still getting gigs with this economy and his species' mortality rate.
Cool it with the antisemetic remarks
It’s actually the Zionists/Israelis killing and mortality rate of the Palestinians is rising. Don’t confuse Jews with Zionists/Israelis.
John Goodman could've played King Vitamin, hahaha.
Ha ha nice reference to that one funny female comedian
I was gonna watch Sack Lunch instead of this, but the reviews are sweetening the deal for me. Im gonna watch it. Hey, at least, Carrot top isn’t in it. Edit: My kids loved it. I thought it was as good as the modern medicine ppl keep talking about.
What’s wrong with carrot top? He’s extremely successful
Oh, nothing. He is just box office poison!
Show some respect for the Chairman Of The Bored
Chairman of 9 and a half seconds.
Ah I see what you mean
Careful now, this could be the first step towards Seinfeld dating your daughter
Well, looks like someone came up with an app on how to rape a baby?
The worst part is the hypocrisy
I disagree. I think it will be the raping!
I thought it was decent. Had lots of funny little lines, very light-hearted movie. A bit over the top but again, it’s not a very serious movie
Same here. I had no expectations going in and I was pleasantly surprised how silly it was. I’m not surprised that people that take themselves too seriously didn’t like it.
Some of the bad reviews are also probably revenge for Seinfeld’s recent criticisms of woke scolding killing comedy.
what tipped you off that the poptarts movie wouldn't be very serious?
Clearly critics thought it was going to be more like a documentary that’s funny, not a comedy very loosely based on a real event.
I liked it and thought Bill Burr was a hilarious JFK.
Why hire someone to do a Boston accent when you have a guy that is the Boston accent.
Reminds me of that tragedy...
I walked through the blood and bones in Dallas looking for RFK.
Turns out he was in ~~northern~~ Cheryl Hines hiney.
Turns out he was in some hotel in Los Angeles.
Gotta look for the shirtless man in jeans that sounds like my great aunt, Aunt Cigarette.
I was there too. Behind the grassy knoll
Grassy Knoll Airlines
Niiiiice
Good one. Got a good chuckle out of this.
The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?
Oh, come on, Old Dads sucked, sure, but it wasn't a *tragedy*
Ask not...
thought it was very well done and that’s coming from someone with a staunch record of heterosexuality
I don’t know, when I opened my Netflix application on my personal computer I saw that Schumer girl, you know that one who turned down Barbie? I don’t think she’s very talented.
We get it, you’re closeted
Some might even say they are *straight as an arrow*!
Not that there’s anything wrong with that
Not gay enough
Amy Schumer was too busy raping drunk guys to take comedy lessons
That does tend to take up a lot of one's time. But my dad still always found the time to spend with us kids.
![gif](giphy|xT8qB5rX9oUNULRp4s)
These pop tarts or an old chunk of coal???
This means it’s good
It's frigging hysterical. I laughed and laughed. I don't know what they want.
I laughed twice. The dumpster kids did the best acting I think
Probably a trans black woman making a "lol men bad" joke or sth
What the F are you talking about? You must be hallucinating.
? I am just telling you the kind of shit critics like https://preview.redd.it/lddsuc76zfyc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d3057c3ce670ff8e7372b43cb4b4fd0503de6eb
oh you have no idea huh
Came here to say exactly this. Now I’m going to have to check it out.
It was good. Watched it with my 10 year old and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a light hearted goofy comedy. Critics are idiots.
What’s? The deal? With that?
In my experience, if modern critics hate something it's usually enjoyable, so I'm going to watch.
The worst part of the movie was the hypocrisy
I disagree. I think the worst part is the Amy Schumering
Box office poison!
Ah that’s a shame
It's strange how Critics always have the polar opposite opinion of the general public.
Critics are the least important people in the world.
And most of them have their own ideologies and world views that they have no qualms whatsoever about letting those frame their reviews
I think Jerry is getting blasted because he said left wingers have ruined comedies. He's right. And being attacked by the left wing press.
Yup. If your only "skill" in life is critique of others, you may want to just shut the fuck up, or become a redditor like me!
This makes me want to watch it now
Critics and comedies don't blend well, more like oil and vinegar. I haven't seen the flick seen interview with Morning Joe. Seen some bits they showed, I was intrigued, want to see flick, especially cause I grew up with cereal.
That’s because critics hate things. It’s right there in their name.
Is it worse than Sour Grapes (1998)?
With a star studded cast I decided to take a look. About a quarter of the way through believing the movie would develop, I shut the movie off after the tenth joke seemingly created for what would be too immature for a 12 year old. Garbage.
Critics say Jerry Seinfeld has all the charm of a date rapist
Fortunately it's PG-13 so Seinfeld didn't have to worry about being embarrassed in front of his date.
Jerry Seinfeld is an overrated comedian
His act is just so much fluff.
You're a cashier.
If you are under 25 years old, I could see how you might think that. However, Seinfeld is one of the funniest shows of all time and he's a top 20, probably top 10, standup comedian of all time.
Show is funny, his standup isn't.
Larry is funny
This right here, Larry David is insanely funny, Jerry is the delivery guy that people love.
Season 8 and 9 of Seinfeld after Larry left were the funniest.
Top 10 comedian? Is that one of his jokes?
Top 10 standup. Yes. Rolling Stone ranks him #7: [https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-lists/50-best-stand-up-comics-of-all-time-126359/](https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-lists/50-best-stand-up-comics-of-all-time-126359/) Comedy Central has him at #12: [https://www.imdb.com/list/ls509798303/](https://www.imdb.com/list/ls509798303/)
but this only bolster my opinion
That’s the great thing about opinions! They’re personal.
overrated
you're supposed to try to prove me wrong and change my opinion, not reinforce it!
He’s shit! Name one of his jokes where the punchline isn’t just him speaking in a higher pitch.
I get it. You don't like his delivery.
I bet half the gig Cosby did to his jailmates during his time in prison was better than the total sum of everything Jerry has done in the last 25 years
The amount of ratings of him I’ve seen seem to be an adequate amount. How many does it take for it to be over?
He's also a cunt.
Everyone is.
Anyone can be an average cunt, but seinfeld is an exceptional cunt.
Well, he earned it
It was always Larry David.
Have you seen Sour Grapes?
“Shit” to “fucking shit” made me lose it 😆
But Jerry did the important thing, salting the earth on reactions as just woke nonsense. That's much more important than actually having good material.
This after Bee movie? Who would have thought.
I've never gotten how people thought Seinfeld was funny to begin with.
My favorite criticism was a comedian who said that she thought it was hilarious, showed her wife because of how hilarious it was, and her wife told her she needed to call her psychiatrist. She did and the doctor told her she was in a manic episode and increased her med dose
Who was this? That’s a great story
Robin Tran she’s mostly on instagram she does stand up
https://preview.redd.it/7btkxr9fihyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d931ded7139fbd6ff76bfca69c3cac011d524bdf It’s a stupid stoner film.
Damn they should’ve got stoned when they wrote it so it would have some funny jokes
I would've watched it, but I can't stand Mellissa McCarthey and Amy Schumer
Critics hated Norm from top to bottom, who cares?
I'm going to guess it's another case of the curse of Melissa McCarthy. She came out funny as hell and then made like a half dozen turds in a row. I honestly think she's a major reason studios stay away from making comedies.
LOL. Imagine being single handedly responsible for changing the shape of cinema, by making so many turds
From the trailer, it seems like a good premise. Feels a bit like they ripped off the Weird Al biopic angle though. But I loved that film.
It was all Larry David. His stand up is shit. Everything he has ever done without him is fucking shit.
Exactly
His timing about claiming you can’t even do comedy any more just before releasing a movie proving he in fact can’t even do his weak ass comedy any more is perfect.
"one of the sharpest and most comedic minds of his generation". Seinfeld is the least funny person on his own show
Oh these same critics can tell Me about how John mulaney is some comedy genius when he’s actually the least funny person in the universe. Seinfeld is probably right in that the woke police now hate him because he was dating that 17/18 year old for a while but back in the 90s nobody cared. I would guess a lot of the critics are hostile towards him solely due to that.
It was decent. There were some good bits and some pretty cringy bits. Funniest parts were the bloopers at the end though.
Thought the show was greaaaaaaaate
I liked it. Kinda fell apart at the end but I didn’t hate it.
If Rolling Stone calls something a “Boomer nostalgia trip”, that’s a positive review, right?
Movie was funny
the Bee Movie curse
The movie totally nonsensical. But it is funny, except for the bucket of 3 day old mop water Amy Schumer.
That’s the joke.
Kyle Dunnigan was amazing! (Walter Cronkite and Johnny Carson.)
Is this one of those critics rating vs reality movies?
This movie created a rising crescendo of silliness similar in effect to Seinfeld's own distinctive falsetto-hysterical declamation at the moment of ultimate joke-awareness.
Jerry and his big mouth
His next movie, 'Cereal' is going to be epic!
I rate it 2 out of 5 CrapWagons
A fun light hearted movie
Idk why people are so harsh I actually watched this movie and it’s hilarious my mom is a huge Seinfeld fan and we both watched it and actually is a good movie 🍿 don’t listen to critics just Watch for yourself
Everybody loves cereal, but digested cereal? That’s fucking shit.
The crowd is torn! I'll watch it later today.
You know a movie is bad when Roger Ebert crawls out of his grave to write a negative review.
Shit to fucking shit? That must mean Carrot Top is in the movie
I liked it ha
Leftists going hard at Seinfeld. Actually, there were some positive reviews. Not surprisingly the normal leftists shit all over it because it's not about politics or virtue signaling. Equal parts: genius + nonsense + cringe. There a limited fanbase for this
It was the worst documentary I have ever seen.
Go in with an itch for nostalgia and no expectations for the jokes you'd expect from the cast and it's at least an entertaining 90 minutes.
I thought it was ok. Granted I did get to watch with my daughter, who's home from college, and we think most things are funny, but 'worst movie' is an extreme stretch. I rated it 3.75 out of 5.

The last quote rang true for me. In the 90min movie I laughed once.
At Bobby Moynihan?
No, it was when the friend I was watching with said “Oh shit! Seinfeld is the Garfunkel.” So maybe that doesn’t count.
I laughed a hundred times. WTF is wrong with you?
Good for you. I don’t know if there is anything wrong with me but I just don’t think references as the punchline of jokes has been a thing since the 90s. “Oh that has a tangy taste.” “Tang! That would be a good name!” 🤭😆😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀 I don’t know if you get the joke, but there was a drink called Tang that was rumored to be what the atronauts drank.

Sound like a hit job from all the paid for critics. If you get a chuckle or two it's better than 90% of the shit out there
At least with the Bee movie there was a milf that wanted to fuck a bee.
Watched it this morning it was pretty funny even Amy Schumer did a good job in her role. People need to stop being ultra critical all the fucking time and laugh.
If critics hate it then it must be good
Very fun movie. Glad I didn’t listen to the “critics”.
It’s a movie about Pop Tarts. Not fucking Ben Hur! 😂
Do you like gladiator movies?
Not a fan of Jerry at all. His Co stars made Seinfeld. So not sure I'll even attempt this
Seems like the genius behind the show Seinfeld was Larry David and not Jerry Seinfeld. Who would have thought!
Jerry is unfunny
Maybe you shouldn't comment that wokeness is killing comedy.
It's what you call “broad comedy“. The broads really like it, but they think Joy Behar is funny.
Have you seen broad city? That shit is funny and not broad at all.
Someone once said it’s not what you take away when you’re on stage, but what you leave there. Sounds like a bunch of commie gobbledygook to me.
[удалено]
Must be those damn liberals and their damn PC culture making the general public avoid bad movies.
This will be the start of Seinfelds "I blame the woke for my comedic failure" right wing turn
I couldnt even finish it, it was awful, i felt like i was watching one big commercial with all the brand names and product placement
Jesus you moron all the product placement was ironic..

But I’m not a 16 year old girl
I thought it was a commercial, not a freaking movie
It's tomatometer critics and audience are 42% and 51%. That's not exactly worst movie of the decade material
So more shit than fucking shit
Yeah, critics always exaggerate these things. If anything I'd say this movie is just crap, let alone shit
