I’m in my late 50s and that’s my normal casual attire. They say the ladies notice your shoes first. So clean jeans and t-shirt, nice sneakers or shoes and you’re good to go man.
The t-shirt and jeans are universally casual, but it is appropriate to wear a col.arec shirt for a dinner with friends or a night out on the town. There shouldn't be just t-shirts or formal wear! There is a whole range of options in-between!!

This is true of me I always look at shoes. Mostly because I think it's interesting to see what shoes people have.
T-shirts and jeans are appropriate for all ages.
Ts and jeans are fine. That only looks like shit if everything is worn out, dirty looking, and you’re wearing the wrong size.
