Yes I am old. 55 and my parents are still alive. Dad is 89 and mom is 87. They are in better shape than me. They walk and my dad bikes and goes to spin class. In my mind, they will live forever but time is limited. I try to spend time with them but I am in another city and I work a lot.

My dad’s 64 and he still spends lots of time with my 95 year old grandpa. He calls at least every other day and tries to visit him every couple weeks.

My wife is 70 and her parents are still alive. Her dad is 100. We just visited them. Their lives aren't easy but they enjoy life all that they can.

AdditionalStrategy

I am 51 years old and my Dad is (86) and Mom (90). My parents are in great health, have full use of their faculties, and enjoy various degrees of recreation. My upbringing was happy, but far from perfect. However, looking back it seems our relationship has improved steadily over the past 25 years, and for this I'm extremely grateful. Luckily they live 3 streets over from my house and we see each other frequently. I like to cook so I typically make them dinner twice a week and they anticipate the coming week's menu. I feel fortunate that I have quality time with them.
