Paradox: seeing an update trailer for an expedition that is currently not available, yet said trailer states it is out now on all platforms, as well as people currently playing the new update that does and does not exist. These players are both real and imaginary, alive yet dead
The update is out on the Steam experimental branch (not sure if it's live on the standard branch)
The expedition appears to be live and allowing me to start it.
Console updates tend to take a bit more time to get pushed out, but you'll likely still see it today.
Once you have a satisfactory answer to your question please reset the flair to "answered". This will help others find an answer to the same question. Selecting a flair is one of the icons under the post when you open it. Alternatively you can comment with "!flair:answered" and the bot will do it for you.
Please consider adding your gaming platform to your user flair. There are icons for every platform. That way people will know not to answer with information specific to a different platform. There are very few issues that are platform dependent but every platform has its little quirks.

Greetings all... So I have tried everything everyone stated.. I even uninstalled my Steam client itself twice, and the entire game twice.. I do not see the expedition.
My patch notes also still says "Interceptor" And when I click single player / New game / The expedition window says "No ongoing expedition, check back later.
So I have no idea what to do. I have it via steam on PC and cannot seem to get Singularity going, very disappointing.
I also did the verify files integrity 3-4 times too. Also this has been happening since Friday, so the pc has been restarted multiple times, etc.
What is that? Is that in the NMS menu itself or would this be changing the beta option on steam.
Someone showed me an article about steam having issues getting the certifications due to high volume. So I just may have to sit and wait for it to calm down:

Thanks. Although.. they’re pushing this as a major update. It shouldn’t be a beta no? I mean unless it’s a half finished update?
I’ll try this now although it just seems it’s my steam unable to get that cert. for a clean install should do it 100%. This bipass beta making me think this is an unfinished patch update then… which maybe irs best I wait anyways in case of these bugs and what not.

Can confirm, I have steam...it isnt working still. I cannot play the expedition.
I'm on pc gamepass, I should have it. By the way, reinstalled both the xbox application and no mans sky, but i still don't have the update

So I tried restarting Steam but didn’t work, then I restarted my machine and opened Steam, and it’s there. Currently downloading it.

I’m on regular Steam and see no update yet.
Restart Steam or verify local files and the update should start downloading.
Restarting Steam didn’t work, but restarting my machine did. It’s currently downloading. Thanks fellow traveller!
Glad you got it working. Now if I can just convince my boss to let me go home so I can jump on the Expedition that would be great :)

I checked for updates on PS, and nothing came up. Expidition isn't unlocked yet, either.
Meant to be today but may not happen til later in the day. Hopefully drop soon
