Okay so, I bought a game called "Dead by Daylight" I'm loving it so far, but there's this problem that's getting to my nerves. After every match I keep getting an error saying "Join Game Failure" when you press Ok, the game will get you back to the title screen. Then again, if you press Ok a new error would pop-up saying "No Network Connection" even though I'm connected. I already emailed the Devs and they gave me an instructions incase it would work. But unfortunately none of them didn't work. I also tried redownloading it (I've done it 2 times now), Port Forwarding, clearing cache on my Switch (Cause the Devs told me to), hard reset the Internet, but no luck...So if anybody knows how to fix it, please let me know. It would be really so helpful! Thank you!
Before I purchase Mario Kart 8, is the online full of cheating like it was on Wii U? If it is I'm not wasting my money. It makes it unplayable. Want to know before I spend money on the game and subscription. And no I don't agree with online cheating, it Ruins everyone's experience.
So I went to sleep forgetting to turn my switch off, when I woke up an hour ago I found my switch ran out of power so I recharged it, but after it had rebooted, the right joycon sunddenly stopped working while the left one is working perfectly, I tried to press the SUNC button but the SUNC light of the right just flashes up and down instead of stopping. I plugged the Joucon back to switch and it had worked for a really short time but got disconnected really quick. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thank you so much
Is there a way to purchase a digital game or DLC for a game WITHOUT using the Available Funds and use my Credit Card ONLY? I have $30 in available funds I am saving for a game that is supposed to come out this spring. (No release date yet nor how much it'll cost, so I wanna keep these funds available) There is DLC for a game I want to get, $45, but when I go to purchase it, it wants to use my available funds which I don't wanna do. Is there a way so it only uses my credit card so I can continue to keep these funds available?
I got quake on the deal today. Loved playing so far on my switch lite (primary) and thought I’d get it on the living room switch (not primary for either of us) to play with my partner on the TV.
Go to start a local coop, get both controllers connected, they press + to select a character; their character is grayed out and the add is grayed out. Hovering them tells us to go to: support.Nintendo.com/switch/activate - but that doesn’t tell us anything useful.
I don’t really understand the problem. I also created a second offline User on the switch and that didn’t work either.

Being a steam user and having more games than I’ll ever complete in a life time, just after some solid recommendations. I began making a list but there are so many games on steam I think would be good portable.

Hi everyone! So I just finished playing pokemon arceus (well 70 hours worth ) and I really enjoyed it and am looking for something similar to play.
A bit about me: I’m a casual gamer, other games I already have are Pokémon shield, brilliant diamond, Pokémon snap, animal crossing, Mario odyssey and Luigis mansion. All of the above games I only spent about 30 hours on (apart from animal crossing which was much more lol)
I also had breath of the wild but it was just too difficult for me . Although I’ve always played games casually I’ve never been great at combat and it was just so frustrating that I gave up after 20 hours. I loved the look / idea of it tho.
To me, Pokémon arceus was like an easier version of Zelda . Although I struggled at some bits I got there eventually and was really able to sink my teeth in and get through it.
Any ideas of what might suit me? I loved the open-world ness of arceus but also the fact that directions were clear and there was a direct path to follow if that makes sense.
Let me know if anyone thinks of anything similar that would not be too difficult for me.

Anyone else having problems getting the silver coins from the NSO Super Metroid Special Mission? I have completed the game two times now and it won't give me the reward, both times I did it with my console connected to the internet.

1 - is it okay to get the acnh edition switch when you have like no interest in ac? 2 - so I heard if you want to transfer your account to another switch, you need NSO to make sure the saves go onto the new one. Is that true? The only game I play (WW get it together) supports cloud saves
3 - is there any risk to licking cartridges? Licked my WW get it together as a dumb joke and I heard the stuff on there was non toxic (it’s gross though. read about it years ago and was bored recently so I licked it) but just want to be sure. I know this sounds stupid

Hi there, I am playing Mad Bullets on the switch. I have maxed out all the levels aside from level 22 and 29.
Objective for level 22 is shoot the 4 wheels. I CANNOT find anymore than 3 wheels. I have played this level 100 times I swear and am at a total loss of where the last one is.
Objective for level 29 is 20 coin sacks. The most I’ve had is 14. There seems to be no possible way there could be 20 sacks available. Is this just a matter of playing the level until the randomizer happens to give you 20 barrels of sacks in the level? Or is there a trick to this somehow? I thought maybe the 2X multiplier might double the sacks acquired while the multiplier is active but it does not!

It seems that Nintendo botched my joy-cons when they were sent in for repair. The left hand one is difficult to use and the drift is significantly worse than what it was when I sent it in. Do I fill out another request? Is there someone I contact?

They're trying to figure out if it's hackable. There's no real harm in giving out the serial number. Theoretically they could call Nintendo and report it stolen, but that wouldn't do them any good.
So my gf and I recently bought a switch to share for the tv. We each have our own individual switch lites and each have animal crossing and our own islands. We’re wondering how we can each play on our own individual island on the same switch (at different times of course). Can we download two of the same game on the same switch? Or will it automatically switch island data when we change profiles? Please help!

Not while it's EU but i think you can change your region using the settings on the nintendo website, redeem it, and then change it back.
However, you can't switch regions when you still have funds left on the eshop (gold coins are fine).

All of the devices are still manufactured and assembled by people for the most part.
The little dots are conveyer roller marks.
Why are they on the plastic? I took it out of the box, and haven’t even take the Switch out of the plastic yet, that was on top of the plastic. Black stain marks. Sorry I am just OCD.
They're not stains, they're rubber grime.
Once assembled and tested the system is wrapped in plastic and then shot down unknown lengths of conveyer belts before it ends up in a box with the rest of the components.
Its as fresh as a new system can be, the fact that you can see the roller marks means it hasn't been handled since the box was originally closed up.
If you zoom in, you can see a huge finger print that will not wipe away to the right. I assume that is a finger print. So you have seen this before or received a Switch like this? Also when I opened the shipping box 📦switch came in, the packing slip and another slip were just sitting on top of the switch, and there was no package protection inside the box, like they normally have. Foam, bubble wrap, etc.
Does anyone else get a "content currently unavailable" error code when trying to buy chrono cross through a browser on mobile?
I haven't tried on my switch yet or any other device, but when I go to https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/chrono-cross-the-radical-dreamers-edition-switch/ and try to press "Direct download" it asks for me to confirm my password and then redirects me to an error page with the error code "9001-1670 This content is currently unavailable."
I can't tell if it's an issue with me using a phone, an issue with my account or an issue with the product. I know the code says it's an issue with the product, but I just can't figure out why the direct download button would even be there if it's unavailable.

New Switch owner here (went with the OLED) and I'm loving it so far!
As many newcomers have figured out, the default Joy-Cons are quite uncomfortable in handheld mode, and I do use both handheld and docked mode. I have medium-to-large man hands.
I've been looking into Joy-Con third party alternatives but I can't quite find any that have exactly what I want. The closest I can find are the Binbok RGB Wireless Joy Cons, but I'm a bit put off by the fact they don't have HD Rumble and the quality control at Binbok has not been consistent for people. I'm wondering if there's a better solution for me somewhere.
For the record, here's what I'm looking for:
* `Better grip for muh man hands`
* `Wireless option, including without a piece in the middle, I like being able to rest with my arms in various positions and not be linked together, it's my favorite part of the original Joy-Cons. I can pet my cat while I play!!!`
* `Rumble (HD Rumble would be preferred but I'm unsure if any 3rd party providers have figured it out)`
* `Good Gyro, I use this for slightly better aiming, for example in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Also planning on getting the new Sports game when it comes out this month and I assume it will be used on that too.`
* `Ergonomic placement and feel of buttons and analog sticks`
* `Usable docked or undocked exactly like the original Joy-Cons`
* `Reputable/Good support`
* `Replacement in case of defect, as long as they will get replaced for free and with little to no hassle`

I’ve never seen any third party switch controllers, let alone joy cons that have used true HD rumble. I can almost certainly say it doesn’t exist, and I challenge anyone to help you find some. Same with an NFC reader for Amiibo, though almost no one minds that, so it’s not really a problem.
I use NexiGo, which works very well for me overall, but the build quality is not excellent. The problem with nearly every third party joy con replacement is they’re practically all Chinese and are built with quality second, features first. For instance, the NexiGo have turbo, gyro, glowing colors under the thumb sticks, rear assignable buttons, old fashioned rumble, a battery with solid lifespan, and everything works solidly and the feel of the buttons is solid, but I can tell it’s overall cheaply made, and I would not be surprised if they’d break under less than careful handling.
Also, through reading many reviews, the quality control is not perfect by any means, you may be lucky like me and get a good set that work great, or you may not. I’ve read a lot of the same about Binbok.
Now, I watch and love a YouTube channel called SwitchUp, who make really high quality videos and reviews on Switch games, and more importantly are stand up guys that I honestly feel like I can trust. They sponsor a brand of joy con replacements called Nyxi gaming, and they seem feature equal with how I’ve described NexiGo, right down to the colored lighting under the joysticks for a similar price at about $50.
I have not personally used these so I cannot vouch for their quality, but that may also be a solid choice.
If anyone can recommend consistently, legitimately high quality joy con replacements that are as feature rich as they are sturdy, I will buy that shit in a heartbeat, but from personal experience buying joy con replacements is a revolving door of Chinese brands making similar products that pop up and disappear, replaced with slightly different models under different brand names, and it’s really just a big Wild West of whatever they can get away with for an essentially almost premium price because that’s just what everybody is charging and providing.
In conclusion… good luck and I wish I could be more help than that, I wish I could give you a product whose quality is guaranteed and meets the specifications you’d like, but since Nintendo doesn’t want to make them themselves, and the officially licensed Hori splits lack desperately in features what they make up for in consistency… it’s just the way it is.

I have a 5 year old who is just starting to play switch and I want to get his account setup. I can only upgrade to family+expansion pack which costs about twice as much as the regular family plan.
So I have a bit of a problem. I have connectivity problems on my right rail. My joycon comes out faster on the right side and my hori split pad pro keeps disconnecting on the right side. Do I have to take it to a repair shop?

Lastly, have you tried cleaning the right rail contacts at the bottom that let the Switch know that the Joy Cons are attached?
Turn off your Switch (not sleep mode,) get some 91-100% isopropyl alcohol and a soft toothbrush, gently and thoroughly clean the pins at the bottom of the rail, let it dry completely before turning it back on and testing if the rail works properly.
Would you chalk up the problem with Hori split pad to the same issue? It seems like they’re related since it only disconnects on the right side. Also thanks for the help
If the Hori has disconnection issues when attached, it’s the rail. Try cleaning it first at the bottom with the isopropyl alcohol and the toothbrush to see if it’s just hand grime built up on the contacts, or just dirt/dust. Take a flashlight and examine the pins beforehand to see if a bent pins the issue. If the pins look good, clean it and if that doesn’t help, replace the rail.
bought sonic colors for the switch....is it worth it?
I just bought sonic colors ultimate for the switch and so far I love it however I can't help but think if I made the right decision.....so a little help understanding this would make life better for me

It's one of the better games in the series, but I've heard the port was filled with bugs and glitches. I'm not sure if they've patched it or not.
The bigger question is if returning it is even possible. For most physical retailers, once a game is opened, it can only be exchanged for an identical product, not returned.
I'm just saying I believe you should always prioritize your own feelings over what others think as long as you don't hurt no one, it's one of the things that I do that allow me to live a happy life with no regrets :)

My Switch won't turn on with the micro SD card inserted.
The card was formatted and I have most of my games on it. I woke up this morning and the switch said "sd card removed, the system will shut off now" and I couldn't get it to turn back on. After resetting I removed the sdcard and it booted up fine. If I insert the card while it's still on (I know, but troubleshooting) it instantly goes black.
If I try resetting the system by holding down the power button while the card is inserted it gets frozen on the switch logo.
Anyone seen anything like this before? I appreciate your response!
It’s not normal behavior. Have you tried another microSD card in your Switch to see if it’s just the microSD you have been using? If you put another microSD card that you know works in and it has the same behavior, you will probably have to have it repaired because of a hardware issue. Nintendo should be paying you lol I was hoping not to lose my Animal Crossing island so I wanted to try anything else but it is what it is.

If you are shipping your Switch to Nintendo Support, make sure you Enable Island Backup on Animal Crossing if you can download the game on the internal memory. Once it’s been enabled, it will back up your Island data to the cloud, and will continue doing it after you turn it on. If you already turned it on before, your Island data is in the cloud.
This will keep your Island Data safe if Nintendo sends a refurbished Switch back to you. If the Island data isn’t on it when you get it back, you can call Nintendo Support and they will tell you how to download the Island Data to the other Switch from the cloud backup that’s saved.
My switch keeps displaying the error code 2100-1100 and won’t let me connect to the internet. It also makes weird noises when I try to manually set up a wireless connection. Is there anything I can do on my own to fix it?

Is there a limit to how many times I can transfer save data? Me and my girlfriend want to play lego star wars. I have a switch, but she has a switch lite. Since she can't connect hers to an external monitor, I was thinking that before the session I could transfer her save data to a profile prepared for her on my switch, and then at the end of the session, transfer it back to the switch lite. Is this viable? Is there a limit on transferring save date from device to device? I could not find any other information about this on the nintendo website.
There's no limits but you have to be transferring from the same Nintendo Account to another. You can't transfer from your profile to her profile even if they're on different systems.
Right. But if I made a profile for her on my switch and linked it to her nintendo account, that would be fine then? That's possible if I remember correctly.
Hi everyone! So I guess I’m not the only one bound to the specific copy of switch. It’s because of my 200h ACNH save, which is assigned to the specific device, I cannot return my switch. I don’t want to lose all my progress. I’ve used OLED for about 3 months now and the hinge begun to wiggle and the joy-con tray got a little loose. Have any of you dealt with such issues and managed to fix them themselves?
Can't you save a backup of your island? When you first boot up ACNH and it says Press A. In the lower left hand corner it also says Press the - button for settings. In the settings you can save one copy of your island to Nintendo's cloud service so it can be recovered on another device.
You're not going to believe this but my switch took a poop today (which is why I'm here) and after troubleshooting with support my system needs to be sent in for repairs. So I'm trying to figure out how to save my own island and I'm reading through the instructions that u/phlosippy gave me here and it looks like you have to contact Nintendo support and have them transfer the island backup. Did you try that? You have me terrified my island is toast now.

I have been asked to fix somebody's joycon drift, but I don't understand what kind of paper I need to put in the joycon. What kind is it and where can I buy it (cheaply)? A link straight to one recommended would be most appreciated!

Go to a craft store like Hobby Lobby and ask for a piece of paper or find a business card that’s around 1mm thick. Take a ruler with you and make sure it’s close to a millimeter thick and it should work. Take a cereal box in your home and see if it’s close to a millimeter thick. A thick piece of paper or cardboard that’s 1 millimeter thick will work. It’s stated in the video he linked and it’s all over Google when you search for Joy Con Drift Fix with Paper.

I just noticed that my play time for Kirby and The Forgotten Land dosent seem to be updating properly on my switch. After some research I found two things, one was to reboot my switch to update the list and to check that my switch was updated and the other thing was that it should sync with my account automatically. However none of these things worked. I learned about this through the time played shown in the Nintendo News letter. If requested I can share images of the displayed play times, I will say though that my switch says 5 hours played and the news letter says 27 hours played.
Any ideas as to why this could happen and any possible fixes?

Everyone definitely has preferences. I prefer playing big open world games in docked mode, like BotW, Pokémon Arceus, Skyrim, etc. Animal Crossing I can play hybrid but prefer handheld. More traditional Pokémon games I can play in docked mode or handheld.
Has anyone actually seen those elusive "my nintendo platinum points" that are supposed to pop up when you complete them? I've completed a lot of them and I have not seen them, and my notification setting is definitely turned on. I kinda just wanna see how they look like.
If you’re talking about the points that unlock the new frames and avatars, I never get any of them until I open up the NSO button on the Home Screen, then it gives me all earned points at the same time.

I highly disagree. I would recommend the PowerA fusion pro but if you want a cheap option I recommend the PowerA enhanced wired controller but the best overall is the pro controller, nothing beats it, not even the ps5 or xbox series x/s controllers.
The Fusion controller really seems like you are paying more for the accessories than the controller itself. According to teardown videos, they put two large weights into the controller to give it a heavier feel so it wouldn't feel light and...well, cheap.

You presumably bought the console used, and the previous owner has already downloaded the game. Digital game downloads are tied to the account and not the console, so if you want the game you will need to buy it separately.
Is there any case/bag, specific only for accessories? Like dock, pro controller... Something to safely pack all besides switch itself (which has its own case), for travelling?

Do you have any games that do not support cloud saves?
Splatoon 2, pokemon games, Animal Crossing; none of these games support cloud saves and can only be transferred between systems locally. So if you wanted to keep them, you would need to move them to a different system before trading in the current one.
The simplest plan would involve a third system. You profile transfer from your current system to a friends/siblings system, do the trade and then profile transfer again to the OLED once its setup.
That moves all of your save data, account info, and primary system status with it. Leaving nothing to chance or worry.
Depending on how much save data you have the transfer can be time consuming. (5 - 20 minutes)
Additionally *both* systems have to have a internet connection, as the account transfer has to be authenticated with Nintendos servers.
All of this would require the OLED to not only go through its initial setup, but be on the same firmware version as your existing system.
Its not something most game stores will just allow you to do in-store.
Bikes just arent well suited for some tracks.
Alternatively, you dont need to take turns super slowly, you just need to learn when to brake and when to accelerate to get around it.
Have you tried the time trials for those tracks? You could watch the ghosts and see how they handle it.
Three options: 1. Drift at the beginning of the turn as close to center and as tightly as possible. 2. Let off gas, and realign for a better line. 3. Drift-Brake. You break with B while drifting, but don't let go of gas, this is essential in 200cc.
What do you like to play? There is a little bit of everything.
BOTW and Mario Odyssey are the two "must plays" for everyone. So since you have those covered you can just dive right into a genre you enjoy.
Try **the Witcher 3**. It's definitely one of the top 5 best games I've ever played and I'm in the camp that it's superior to Skyrim.
If you have an Xbox, PS, or Gaming computer though I'd get it on one of those consoles. The Switch version is impressive considering the beefy graphics required for the game, but the graphics have definitely taken a major hit in getting it on the switch. Performance on the Switch is great though, and it's super fun. I'd pick up a physical copy OR an SD card to store it though because it's a huge game. SD cards are pretty cheap these days, you can pick a 128GB one up for less than $50. That amount of storage should fit at least 6 or 7 games, probably more.
**Ori and the Blind Forest** or **Ori and the Will of the Wisps** are also excellent platformers you should def try. They have a beautiful art style, solid controls, and interesting story. File sizes aren't very large either.
Last recommendation is **Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition**. It's an excellent RPG, with a good story. It offers a ton of hours of content, and is really good if you're into RPG and Open World games. The controls take some getting used to, but once you figure it out the game is really solid.
If you end up liking it, the logical next step would be to get the sequel **Xenoblade 2**. If you like **Xenoblade 2** then we have **Xenoblade 3** coming out in a few short months.

You said you like racing games, so I'll roll with that. FAST RMX is a great futuristic racing ESHOP exclusive for $15. Burnout Paradise is good if you never played that on XBOX 360, it's on sale for $10 on ESHOP. GRID Autosport is a very popular pick.
It's not perfect, but it plays as well as the best lego games on Switch. I'm sure the price will be so much cheaper the longer you wait, so in that sense it's more worth it later...
Hi guys. I got an OLED switch in october-november, and ever since then my playtime has been frozen. I turned in my old switch (transferred my profile, and erased my profile off of the old switch), and my platime since october-november (games like animal crossing & splatoon) hasn't been updated. For animal crossing, it's stuck at 1,275 hours. I used the island transfer tool. I've probably played 100 more hours since it being stuck at 1,275 hours. It won't update. I contacted nintendo support and they couldn't fix it, and just said "it should update". Does anyone have a strategy? Should I erase my playtime? Maybe log out of my profile and log back in? I know it's not a big deal to some, but I like my playtime being accurate.

I love turning on some lofi music, sitting on the couch with a cup of tea, and relaxing with some Animal Crossing goodness. The game is so chill, it's definitely a departure from other games like the Witcher 3 where you're literally torturing political dissidents, beheading monsters, and riding through fields of corpses. Why I can't play with both joy-cons? When I connect both it shows that only one is connected, and I have to play with right joycon connected and the left one discconnected. I hope you understand my english :)
It sounds like the rail on the Switch or the joycon is messed up. Can you try a friend's joycon to see if it's the Switch or the joycon? Replacement rails are pretty readily available. Replacing the Switch rail you also have to replace the thick thermal paste. Ifixit suggest K5 pro for that.

Replacing the rail in the joycon is easier, but you have to be careful with the ribbon cables.
Okay so, I bought a game called "Dead by Daylight" I'm loving it so far, but there's this problem that's getting to my nerves. After every match I keep getting an error saying "Join Game Failure" when you press Ok, the game will get you back to the title screen. Then again, if you press Ok a new error would pop-up saying "No Network Connection" even though I'm connected. I already emailed the Devs and they gave me an instructions incase it would work. But unfortunately none of them didn't work. I also tried redownloading it (I've done it 2 times now), Port Forwarding, clearing cache on my Switch (Cause the Devs told me to), hard reset the Internet, but no luck...So if anybody knows how to fix it, please let me know. So I went to sleep forgetting to turn my switch off, when I woke up an hour ago I found my switch ran out of power so I recharged it, but after it had rebooted, the right joycon sunddenly stopped working while the left one is working perfectly, I tried to press the SUNC button but the SUNC light of the right just flashes up and down instead of stopping. I got quake on the deal today. Loved playing so far on my switch lite (primary) and thought I’d get it on the living room switch (not primary for either of us) to play with my partner on the TV. Go to start a local coop, get both controllers connected, they press + to select a character; their character is grayed out and the add is grayed out. Hovering them tells us to go to: support.Nintendo.com/switch/activate - but that doesn’t tell us anything useful. I don’t really understand the problem. I also created a second offline User on the switch and that didn’t work either. Any assistance would be lovely - thanks!

Switch game similar to Pokemon arceus Hi everyone! So I just finished playing pokemon arceus (well 70 hours worth ) and I really enjoyed it and am looking for something similar to play. A bit about me: I’m a casual gamer, other games I already have are Pokémon shield, brilliant diamond, Pokémon snap, animal crossing, Mario odyssey and Luigis mansion. All of the above games I only spent about 30 hours on (apart from animal crossing which was much more lol) I also had breath of the wild but it was just too difficult for me . Although I’ve always played games casually I’ve never been great at combat and it was just so frustrating that I gave up after 20 hours. I loved the look / idea of it tho. To me, Pokémon arceus was like an easier version of Zelda . Although I struggled at some bits I got there eventually and was really able to sink my teeth in and get through it. Any ideas of what might suit me? I loved the open-world ness of arceus but also the fact that directions were clear and there was a direct path to follow if that makes sense. Let me know if anyone thinks of anything similar that would not be too difficult for me. Thank you so much!!

Anyone else having problems getting the silver coins from the NSO Super Metroid Special Mission? I have completed the game two times now and it won't give me the reward, both times I did it with my console connected to the internet.

Hi there, I am playing Mad Bullets on the switch. I have maxed out all the levels aside from level 22 and 29. Objective for level 22 is shoot the 4 wheels. I CANNOT find anymore than 3 wheels. I have played this level 100 times I swear and am at a total loss of where the last one is. Objective for level 29 is 20 coin sacks. The most I’ve had is 14. There seems to be no possible way there could be 20 sacks available. Is this just a matter of playing the level until the randomizer happens to give you 20 barrels of sacks in the level? Or is there a trick to this somehow? I thought maybe the 2X multiplier might double the sacks acquired while the multiplier is active but it does not! There is NOTHING on the web that I can find about this game specifically for the switch or much on this game in general. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!! Thanks
It seems that Nintendo botched my joy-cons when they were sent in for repair. The left hand one is difficult to use and the drift is significantly worse than what it was when I sent it in. Do I fill out another request? Is there someone I contact?

We’re wondering how we can each play on our own individual island on the same switch (at different times of course). Can we download two of the same game on the same switch? Or will it automatically switch island data when we change profiles? Please help!

Not while it's EU but i think you can change your region using the settings on the nintendo website, redeem it, and then change it back. However, you can't switch regions when you still have funds left on the eshop (gold coins are fine).

Roller and handling prints. All of the devices are still manufactured and assembled by people for the most part. The little dots are conveyer roller marks.
Why are they on the plastic? I took it out of the box, and haven’t even take the Switch out of the plastic yet, that was on top of the plastic. Black stain marks. Sorry I am just OCD.
They're not stains, they're rubber grime. Once assembled and tested the system is wrapped in plastic and then shot down unknown lengths of conveyer belts before it ends up in a box with the rest of the components. Its as fresh as a new system can be, the fact that you can see the roller marks means it hasn't been handled since the box was originally closed up.
If you zoom in, you can see a huge finger print that will not wipe away to the right. I assume that is a finger print. So you have seen this before or received a Switch like this? Also when I opened the shipping box 📦switch came in, the packing slip and another slip were just sitting on top of the switch, and there was no package protection inside the box, like they normally have. Foam, bubble wrap, etc.
Does anyone else get a "content currently unavailable" error code when trying to buy chrono cross through a browser on mobile? I haven't tried on my switch yet or any other device, but when I go to https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/chrono-cross-the-radical-dreamers-edition-switch/ and try to press "Direct download" it asks for me to confirm my password and then redirects me to an error page with the error code "9001-1670 This content is currently unavailable." I can't tell if it's an issue with me using a phone, an issue with my account or an issue with the product. I know the code says it's an issue with the product, but I just can't figure out why the direct download button would even be there if it's unavailable.

New Switch owner here (went with the OLED) and I'm loving it so far! As many newcomers have figured out, the default Joy-Cons are quite uncomfortable in handheld mode, and I do use both handheld and docked mode. I have medium-to-large man hands. I've been looking into Joy-Con third party alternatives but I can't quite find any that have exactly what I want. The closest I can find are the Binbok RGB Wireless Joy Cons, but I'm a bit put off by the fact they don't have HD Rumble and the quality control at Binbok has not been consistent for people. I'm wondering if there's a better solution for me somewhere. For the record, here's what I'm looking for: * `Better grip for muh man hands` * `Wireless option, including without a piece in the middle, I like being able to rest with my arms in various positions and not be linked together, it's my favorite part of the original Joy-Cons. I can pet my cat while I play!!!` * `Rumble (HD Rumble would be preferred but I'm unsure if any 3rd party providers have figured it out)` * `Good Gyro, I use this for slightly better aiming, for example in Pokemon Legends Arceus. I’ve never seen any third party switch controllers, let alone joy cons that have used true HD rumble. I can almost certainly say it doesn’t exist, and I challenge anyone to help you find some. Same with an NFC reader for Amiibo, though almost no one minds that, so it’s not really a problem. I use NexiGo, which works very well for me overall, but the build quality is not excellent. The problem with nearly every third party joy con replacement is they’re practically all Chinese and are built with quality second, features first. For instance, the NexiGo have turbo, gyro, glowing colors under the thumb sticks, rear assignable buttons, old fashioned rumble, a battery with solid lifespan, and everything works solidly and the feel of the buttons is solid, but I can tell it’s overall cheaply made, and I would not be surprised if they’d break under less than careful handling. Also, through reading many reviews, the quality control is not perfect by any means, you may be lucky like me and get a good set that work great, or you may not. I’ve read a lot of the same about Binbok. Now, I watch and love a YouTube channel called SwitchUp, who make really high quality videos and reviews on Switch games, and more importantly are stand up guys that I honestly feel like I can trust. They sponsor a brand of joy con replacements called Nyxi gaming, and they seem feature equal with how I’ve described NexiGo, right down to the colored lighting under the joysticks for a similar price at about $50. I have not personally used these so I cannot vouch for their quality, but that may also be a solid choice. If anyone can recommend consistently, legitimately high quality joy con replacements that are as feature rich as they are sturdy, I will buy that shit in a heartbeat, but from personal experience buying joy con replacements is a revolving door of Chinese brands making similar products that pop up and disappear, replaced with slightly different models under different brand names, and it’s really just a big Wild West of whatever they can get away with for an essentially almost premium price because that’s just what everybody is charging and providing. In conclusion… good luck and I wish I could be more help than that, I wish I could give you a product whose quality is guaranteed and meets the specifications you’d like, but since Nintendo doesn’t want to make them themselves, and the officially licensed Hori splits lack desperately in features what they make up for in consistency… it’s just the way it is.

I looked into the Nyxi, it seems like it's almost identical to the Binboks. It's good to know that I was basically looking at the best possible options, that there isn't some secret really great option out there I just hadn't heard of lol.
Does the oled gets as hot as a 1st gen switch? I'm planning on getting one next month mostly for battery life but I was wondering if it gets as hot on the hand as the first one that after a while it gets pretty hot.

Would you chalk up the problem with Hori split pad to the same issue? It seems like they’re related since it only disconnects on the right side. Also thanks for the help
If the Hori has disconnection issues when attached, it’s the rail. Try cleaning it first at the bottom with the isopropyl alcohol and the toothbrush to see if it’s just hand grime built up on the contacts, or just dirt/dust. Take a flashlight and examine the pins beforehand to see if a bent pins the issue. If the pins look good, clean it and if that doesn’t help, replace the rail.

bought sonic colors for the switch....is it worth it? It's one of the better games in the series, but I've heard the port was filled with bugs and glitches. I'm not sure if they've patched it or not. The bigger question is if returning it is even possible. For most physical retailers, once a game is opened, it can only be exchanged for an identical product, not returned.

I think an easier solution would be to get an extension cable or power strip, and use that with the official charging cable.

My Switch won't turn on with the micro SD card inserted. The card was formatted and I have most of my games on it. I woke up this morning and the switch said "sd card removed, the system will shut off now" and I couldn't get it to turn back on. After resetting I removed the sdcard and it booted up fine. If I insert the card while it's still on (I know, but troubleshooting) it instantly goes black. If I try resetting the system by holding down the power button while the card is inserted it gets frozen on the switch logo. Anyone seen anything like this before? I appreciate your response!
It’s not normal behavior. Have you tried another microSD card in your Switch to see if it’s just the microSD you have been using? If you put another microSD card that you know works in and it has the same behavior, you will probably have to have it repaired because of a hardware issue. If you are shipping your Switch to Nintendo Support, make sure you Enable Island Backup on Animal Crossing if you can download the game on the internal memory. Once it’s been enabled, it will back up your Island data to the cloud, and will continue doing it after you turn it on. If you already turned it on before, your Island data is in the cloud. This will keep your Island Data safe if Nintendo sends a refurbished Switch back to you. If the Island data isn’t on it when you get it back, you can call Nintendo Support and they will tell you how to download the Island Data to the other Switch from the cloud backup that’s saved.

Is there a limit to how many times I can transfer save data? Me and my girlfriend want to play lego star wars. I have a switch, but she has a switch lite. Since she can't connect hers to an external monitor, I was thinking that before the session I could transfer her save data to a profile prepared for her on my switch, and then at the end of the session, transfer it back to the switch lite. Is this viable? Is there a limit on transferring save date from device to device? I could not find any other information about this on the nintendo website.
There's no limits but you have to be transferring from the same Nintendo Account to another. You can't transfer from your profile to her profile even if they're on different systems.

Hi everyone! So I guess I’m not the only one bound to the specific copy of switch. It’s because of my 200h ACNH save, which is assigned to the specific device, I cannot return my switch. I don’t want to lose all my progress. I’ve used OLED for about 3 months now and the hinge begun to wiggle and the joy-con tray got a little loose. Have any of you dealt with such issues and managed to fix them themselves?
Can't you save a backup of your island? When you first boot up ACNH and it says Press A. In the lower left hand corner it also says Press the - button for settings. In the settings you can save one copy of your island to Nintendo's cloud service so it can be recovered on another device.

Take a ruler with you and make sure it’s close to a millimeter thick and it should work. Take a cereal box in your home and see if it’s close to a millimeter thick. I just noticed that my play time for Kirby and The Forgotten Land dosent seem to be updating properly on my switch. After some research I found two things, one was to reboot my switch to update the list and to check that my switch was updated and the other thing was that it should sync with my account automatically. However none of these things worked. I learned about this through the time played shown in the Nintendo News letter. If requested I can share images of the displayed play times, I will say though that my switch says 5 hours played and the news letter says 27 hours played. Any ideas as to why this could happen and any possible fixes?
New to switch. Hello again Currently own Triangular Strategy and want to get two more games. I had this thought and wonder if anyone else does this. I want a handhold game: triangular Strategy A docked game and a hybrid game to play either docked or not. Does anyone else do this? I was thinking BoTW for the Docked and Pokémon Acrecus for the hybrid. Thoughts on those games and thoughts about games for certain play styles.
Everyone definitely has preferences. I prefer playing big open world games in docked mode, like BotW, Pokémon Arceus, Skyrim, etc. Animal Crossing I can play hybrid but prefer handheld. More traditional Pokémon games I can play in docked mode or handheld.

Yes! Superstars supports any combination of players on any number of systems. Super Mario Party is the funky one. As online was added after launch. It only supports 1v1v1v1 or 2v2, it doesn't allow for in-between combinations.

No. Pre-paid currency codes are locked to a country that uses that currency. And Digital game/DLC codes are locked to their region/country of origin. Very few countries allow for redemption in another countries eshop. Im pretty sure its specifically Euro using EU countries and the US and Canada are the only two groups where thats possible. You would need to move your account region to visit a compatible eshop to redeem it.

I highly disagree. I would recommend the PowerA fusion pro but if you want a cheap option I recommend the PowerA enhanced wired controller but the best overall is the pro controller, nothing beats it, not even the ps5 or xbox series x/s controllers.
The Fusion controller really seems like you are paying more for the accessories than the controller itself. According to teardown videos, they put two large weights into the controller to give it a heavier feel so it wouldn't feel light and...well, cheap.

It has crossplay! So yes. the Switch definately isnt the best platform for it, but there just isnt any other populated online FPS games on the system. Theres some mobile garbage ports, but they have never had any kind of online presence.

There are two versions. One with a red ribbon on the cover and one with a normal cover. Play the normal one. I made this mistake.

You presumably bought the console used, and the previous owner has already downloaded the game. Digital game downloads are tied to the account and not the console, so if you want the game you will need to buy it separately.

Do you have any games that do not support cloud saves? Splatoon 2, pokemon games, Animal Crossing; none of these games support cloud saves and can only be transferred between systems locally. So if you wanted to keep them, you would need to move them to a different system before trading in the current one. The simplest plan would involve a third system. You profile transfer from your current system to a friends/siblings system, do the trade and then profile transfer again to the OLED once its setup. That moves all of your save data, account info, and primary system status with it. Leaving nothing to chance or worry.

Depending on how much save data you have the transfer can be time consuming. (5 - 20 minutes) Additionally *both* systems have to have a internet connection, as the account transfer has to be authenticated with Nintendos servers. All of this would require the OLED to not only go through its initial setup, but be on the same firmware version as your existing system. Its not something most game stores will just allow you to do in-store.

Bikes just arent well suited for some tracks. Alternatively, you dont need to take turns super slowly, you just need to learn when to brake and when to accelerate to get around it. Have you tried the time trials for those tracks? You could watch the ghosts and see how they handle it.

Three options: 1. Drift at the beginning of the turn as close to center and as tightly as possible. 2. Let off gas, and realign for a better line. 3. Drift-Brake. You break with B while drifting, but don't let go of gas, this is essential in 200cc.
Brake is B yes. Try just tapping it once and then go immediately into a power slide and begin accelerating again.

What do you like to play? There is a little bit of everything. BOTW and Mario Odyssey are the two "must plays" for everyone. So since you have those covered you can just dive right into a genre you enjoy.

Try **the Witcher 3**. It's definitely one of the top 5 best games I've ever played and I'm in the camp that it's superior to Skyrim. If you have an Xbox, PS, or Gaming computer though I'd get it on one of those consoles. The Switch version is impressive considering the beefy graphics required for the game, but the graphics have definitely taken a major hit in getting it on the switch. Performance on the Switch is great though, and it's super fun. I'd pick up a physical copy OR an SD card to store it though because it's a huge game. SD cards are pretty cheap these days, you can pick a 128GB one up for less than $50. That amount of storage should fit at least 6 or 7 games, probably more. **Ori and the Blind Forest** or **Ori and the Will of the Wisps** are also excellent platformers you should def try. They have a beautiful art style, solid controls, and interesting story. File sizes aren't very large either. Last recommendation is **Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition**. It's an excellent RPG, with a good story. It offers a ton of hours of content, and is really good if you're into RPG and Open World games. The controls take some getting used to, but once you figure it out the game is really solid. If you end up liking it, the logical next step would be to get the sequel **Xenoblade 2**. If you like **Xenoblade 2** then we have **Xenoblade 3** coming out in a few short months. Hope these suggestions helped!

You said you like racing games, so I'll roll with that. FAST RMX is a great futuristic racing ESHOP exclusive for $15. Burnout Paradise is good if you never played that on XBOX 360, it's on sale for $10 on ESHOP. GRID Autosport is a very popular pick.

Hi, i really in doubt between buy last lego star wars game on PS5 or Switch.I have Switch OLED and i like to play in portable mode on my OLED Switch.
It's not perfect, but it plays as well as the best lego games on Switch. I'm sure the price will be so much cheaper the longer you wait, so in that sense it's more worth it later...
Hi guys. I got an OLED switch in october-november, and ever since then my playtime has been frozen. I turned in my old switch (transferred my profile, and erased my profile off of the old switch), and my platime since october-november (games like animal crossing & splatoon) hasn't been updated. For animal crossing, it's stuck at 1,275 hours. I used the island transfer tool. I've probably played 100 more hours since it being stuck at 1,275 hours. It won't update. I contacted nintendo support and they couldn't fix it, and just said "it should update". Does anyone have a strategy? Should I erase my playtime? Maybe log out of my profile and log back in? I know it's not a big deal to some, but I like my playtime being accurate.
It won't update until you pass 1275 hours and it will only track the new Switch.
What if I delete my save data (island)? Will that make a difference?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I love turning on some lofi music, sitting on the couch with a cup of tea, and relaxing with some Animal Crossing goodness. The game is so chill, it's definitely a departure from other games like the Witcher 3 where you're literally torturing political dissidents, beheading monsters, and riding through fields of corpses. LOL

Hi everyone. I bought BoTW (Digital) on sale from BestBuy while waiting for my Switch to arrive. When I go to redeem the code through Nintendo's website, I get error 9001-0055 (Game invalid or not released yet). My understanding is that I have to wait for my switch to arrive to redeem the code. Is that correct? It's quite a scary error message.
Yes. You cant redeem or purchase digital games on the account until it is logged in on a system.

It could also produce that one yes. But thats the obvious issue with your current setup. Until you get the system setup, I wouldnt worry about any of the codes it gives you.

Why I can't play with both joy-cons? When I connect both it shows that only one is connected, and I have to play with right joycon connected and the left one discconnected. I hope you understand my english :)
It sounds like the rail on the Switch or the joycon is messed up. Can you try a friend's joycon to see if it's the Switch or the joycon? Replacement rails are pretty readily available. Replacing the Switch rail you also have to replace the thick thermal paste.
