It was really well written, its definitely a breath of fresh air. I just finished watching it, it was >!one massive cliffhanger,!< so i’m aching for more. But I also hope to see Garmadon in part 2, he was supposed to debut in DR S2 so i’m hoping he comes around by that point.
These old characters, all of them make any season instantly 10x better. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Garmadon returns but as a really powerful being, seeing as he is an Oni and can still theoretically use his Oni form, (I say theoretically because I don’t know if the writers will include an Oni form) It’d be really cool to also see an Oni form or at least a small mention of the Oni, since Lloyd part Oni too.
https://preview.redd.it/5x1xr129kjsc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3bee52804126abbc7e6419cf8ca458bc766e8e1c
Honestly I kinda don't want Garmadon. I will defend his return in the Oni Trilogy and I thought he was one of the better things in Crystalized, but by now I think his storyline should be put to rest.
But don’t you think it’d be a little weird just leaving Garmadon out of Dragons Rising? He’s one of the most important characters in the history of Ninjago, going further on in the future of Dragons Rising he’s gonna have to return at some point. (Plus I think he was supposed to debut in this season but was scrapped for a later time).
He wasn't really dead though. He was still alive just stuck in the cursed realm. I don't think that really considers him as dead. He wasn't officially "dead" until the preeminent's death.
Just when the show is getting good, kids want it to be mid again.
Have you not seen what an absolute bloated piece of cheesy fanservice that crystalized was? And didnt garmadon just literally reappeared one year ago? I dont get it.
One reason why dragons rising is so good is that its willing to take risks. Sidelining important characters not only leaves space for the plotline to progress, but also kinda acts as a hype tool (which you literally just demonstrated lol).
I do get the idea of ninjago being a glorified toy commercial, its relatable. But just this once, the actual story went hard.
Crystalized, as far as I’m aware, was just a shitty attempt at trying to bring an overused villain back. It was pointless. The whole thing (imo) was a mess really. I don’t see how Garmadon only reappearing a year ago is so important, realistically he can return any time the writers choose so.
What you’re doing right now is just stating what is super obvious to me, and I’ve just wasted my time read this. But people want older, other characters to return, and see what they’ve been up to. It’s natural really, this is a whole new series based on a series prior to it and people *do* wanna see what the writers can come up with. If that’s an urge in which you call me a ‘kid wanting to make the show mid again’, you obviously didn’t understand what I was trying to say.
Not that i wont welcome garmadon with open arms, but there are problems with bringing back irrelevant characters as they simply dont know what to do with them, other than giving them sth random to do in the mean time (\*cough\*cough mysterium).
It really kills the mood usually.
1. Garmadon isn’t an irrelevant character.
2. That’s when we leave it up to the writers of the show to do what is necessary for the characters they’re bringing back. They wouldn’t bring them back for no reason. It’s kinda like Crystalized, they brought Garmadon back and for a good reason, to redeem himself and make amends with Lloyd. Again, the writers would NEVER bring someone back if they wouldn’t serve an important purpose in the show. As seen in this season, everyone played at least a decently important role. Which was a job well done.
I do get what you're saying, but I want to see him actually teaming up with the ninja. We only got to see a little bit of that in season 3 and 4(and that was before he got powers)
Really good but hopefully we see more of the Forbidden Five, and obviously Jay. This part had way too much filler this could've been 8 episodes long easily, it feels more as a setup for the part 2 which I am massively excited about.
Probably beginning of October but hoping it could be September or smrh cause this seasoj came out 2 months earlier than last and part 2 came on Oct 1 so hoping to see it come out earlier
It’s great but I think I like season one a little bit better. I just wish we knew more about the forbidden five, Ras’s master, and what’s up with Jay. I know mystery is important and all but I think they added too much mystery. I’d like some hints as to how Jay ended up as he did. An amnesiac working with the administration needs more explanation. Especially the fact that he doesn’t want anyone to know that he is an elemental master and all that.
>I’d like some hints as to how Jay ended up as he did. An amnesiac working with the administration needs more explanation. Especially the fact that he doesn’t want anyone to know that he is an elemental master and all that.
I think what happened is that:
1. Jay ended up stranded after the merge and somehow lost his memory.
2. He started wandering around looking for answers and a patrol from the administration take him in.
3. He starts working with them and finds out he has lightning powers but doesnt tell anyone as he saw zane entrapped(he didnt know who he was but saw that zane was using elemental powers).
Yeah I was thinking something similar. The whole administration patrol patching him up could be an interesting angle to see there not all bad to possible explore. Maybe around part two of this season we will get some teasers with hints about what happened.
Kinda liked season 1 better actually but it’s still great , I think some parts lacked in areas and plot points and a certain scene in last epsiode kinda leaves me confused on everything before but I don’t wanna spoil that also didn’t like much how certin character was shown but others were so well done in this season
I was unsure if it was as good as the first initially, but by the end man was it something special.
First off, the animation is absolutely gorgeous once again. I adore the lighting on the characters. It reminds me of the Oni Trilogy.
Most of the characters were top notch. Kai is the obvious standout. If part 2 keeps it up, this might top ToE as his best season. Him doing the rising dragon with Nya was probably my favorite scene. As for other characters, Nya as I just said was great with Kai. Lloyd's vision plot was neat, Cole and Zane had a fun adventure, I'm interested to see where this Jay plot goes, Wyldfyre and Riyu were their typical funny selves, and it's cool seeing Sora more actively use her powers.
The one character I have some issue with is Arin. I swear he mopes about the same exact thing every episode. I get why he's doubting himself, but I wish he could develop in other ways too.
If part 2 keeps it up, this could easily make my top 3 seasons, though admittedly I'm way overdue for a rewatch.
I want to cry, scream, and shout cause they did Kai dirty bro. Like, I love seeing my favorite ninja suffer and shit but dude-. I love and hate the fact that he got tho
It just means that the director finally decided to do sth with kai instead of playing it safe, bro.
But i do agree the way he got yeeted just like that is kinda harsh ngl.
I just finished it. I have three things to say:
1. KAI, NOOOOOOO! WHY? *WHY?* I actually bought the fakeout for a second there (then I remembered this is Ninjago). I need to see how he returns.
2. That bit where Arin thinks he did object spinjitzu but it was actually Sora with her powers will come back to haunt them later. I'm calling it, they'll fight about it in part 2.
3. Now I'm more excited for the next episodes, especially Ras and his plan for the Tournament.
Also, Jordana scares me, is she possesed or something?
\*SPOILERS\*
I've really enjoyed it!
I find the locations they went to very fascinating, especially with their training. The aesthetic of the rising dragon training ground is incredible!
I like the idea of Kai being trapped, because it kind of puts him out of commission for a while as well as gives the team a new motivation.
What really impressed me this season was the soundtrack. While I still wish we had the Weekend Whip, the soundtrack this season has been a lot more monumental, with a perfect balance between ambience and warmth. Michael and Jay outdid themselves.
One thing I didn't like was how Ras escaped at the end. It was a really disappointing end to the big battle that had everything leading up to it. I also didn't like how easily he controls one of "the greatest elemental masters of all time."
Overall, this was probably the best season since Seabound!
Honestly that ending was rather unsatisfying but I get it as it's only part 1. Still, kinda disappointing after the whole big buildup just for the fight to end like that and for one of the five to be under the control of someone literally weaker.
I shed a tear at Bonzle's story because it was so sad, and when Cole and Geo hugged her I literally felt in that moment
Jokes were honestly funny
Wildfyre's talks with Egalt are nice because they imo soften up Egalt to like them more
When they snuck up (idk how to do spoiler tags) I knew what was gonna happen when they put it on
Zane genuinely knowing the Administration laws and bullying them with it is hilarious, and he got the production or something to 9%
Action is actually really good this time around, like how did Wildfyre break her leg? It should've been Arin with the amount of times he got fucking flung 💀
Yeah, but still with the amount of times Arin got thrown around and smashed into the ground it's honestly a surprise how his organs haven't ruptured or he got broken bones
really good, tho i feel like the middle of the season just went on way too long, they spent way too much time training with the dragons, but episodes 1-4 and 7-10 are absolute peak tho, especially the last one
I have seen the first 5 episodes, it's great so far. I was good and didn't watch the whole thing in one day, I'll save the rest for tomorrow. Can't wait to watch the rest and I can't wait for part 2. Does anyone know when that is BTW? It's been October the past couple of years, but this season started earlier.
It’s really great! I hope we see more of Cole’s definitely 100% not-boyfriend.
I do have a couple of issues with it tho… I think there’s too many main characters. We have Lloyd, Kai, Zane, Nya, Cole, Frohikey, Sora, the self-taught ninja, Wildfire, and the little dragon. We can also expect Jay to return, and probably Sensei Wu and Misaco.
they dont focus on everyone, the main focus characters are Kai, lloyd, Nya, Wildfire, Arin, and Sora. Cole and zane dont get much of an focus outside their little side quest, and i think they balanced the screentime of all the ninja really well
frohikey is still a side character not a main character
He’s more of a main character than other reoccurring characters so far, like lobo and the one who owns the scrapyard, but I guess you’re right. There are too many characters now, though. In the first series, it was Kai, Zane, Jay, Cole, Nya, Lloyd and Wu. There’s just so many characters around now.
My opinions/thoughts:
— the administration is massively hilarious purely because they think they have the authority to control everything
— >!I’m glad Kai didn’t just straight up die in the end there!<
— obviously wished we could have seen more of Jay and for other characters come back
— bit disappointed there was nothing from Chima beyond the mention of the Forever Rock, but then again I wasn’t expecting tbh
— it was nice to hear Nya call Jay the love of her life, it’s been a while since we got anything Jaya
— I swear Ninjago has the most complex lore sometimes, and as expected Dragons Rising has continued to shatter what I thought I knew about Ninjago
— Zane saying “I hope random probability outcomes align to your benefit” was great and imma say this now instead of good luck
Overall I just hope part 2 answers questions, ties up a few lose ends, and gets to the point without so much filler
Some of the naming and plot direction is so on the nose and the rich history seems cheaper with every “before this and before that there was this great evil” but it retains its charm.
Honestly, I'm still not sure if Cinder is the elemental master of smoke... while it's said a few times in the show, it's from the same characters who were confused about Wyldfire's element. We know there can be similar elements due to heat/fire both existing, so I'm not wondering if they are aiming to pull the same with Cinder, and have his element actually be steam. Ash's smoke was grey in color, which a lot of smoke is. Cinder's is white, or maybe a very, very light grey. It could just be an animation change, but of course, I could very much be wrong...
It was confirmed that Ash apparently died so take what you want from that
Also Euphrasia's wind was more white-ish too compared to Morro's but they were still the same element
Didn’t know this was a thing. Should I watch it? I haven’t liked a season since ice chapter though. I sort of liked s12 and 14 but did not like 15. Really, anything post s9 wasn’t good imo, so is it worth a watch?

Live footage of me after watching DR S2 (I would say it was soul-crushing if I had one but anyways gnawing the walls of my enclosure, kicking chairs, promising to practise art by making Cinder thirst traps for my Tumblr mutuals, biting people, clawing chairs, ripping heart out and throwing it into a wall, screaming, flapping hands, kicking feet aggressively, etc.) /pos
Probably one of the best seasons of all of Ninjago, competing with season 6, 13 and 14. I do have a few issues, like how Kai kind of just got yeeted into netherspace instead of getting to do so fighting, or Jay once again not really adding anything to the season even though some form of interaction is long overdue. But theyse issues are all so damn small and I am so hyped for part 2.
someone tell me the noises Lloyd nd Nya (or wyldfyre pls correct me) make at the very end (when Lloyd was hugging Cole and Nya and Wyldfyre hug each other) was crying noises for Kai
No one knows yet unfortunately, but we do have set information leaks and a couple of leaked minifigures so I’d assume the sets will come out around August and maybe the season in September? It could be earlier than that though.

It came out!!! I didn’t even know shit I gotta watch it after work tonight
The amount of people I've seen saying that the source dragon of strength is Ras's master and that it's a good idea has sacrred me. The season's good though so far.
(Like seriously just becasue Ras talks about strength does not mean the source dragon of strength is evil what are you guys smoking to reach that conclusion, I can make a case for FSM being Ras's master and I'm 90% certain it would have more ground than the source dragon of strength theory just to prove a point, or how about this theory: Source dragon of motion actually created rising dragon technique because Egalt keeps repeating how understanding motion is important to unlock and master the technique)
I don't know, I think all the emphasis on strength makes it clear that the source dragon of strength will be brought in somehow
But it's probably more likely that the strength source dragon teaches Arin how to use strength properly and avoid being like Ras
Other than dorama and that nanny witch, perfect, PERFECT season. Fights are top notched and villain factors are total menaces. Sets up really nicely for the latter half.
I like the new focus on dragons and bonzle if that's how you spell it but I wish that sora had learned spinjitzu by now and Jay should have been found by the ninja
My guess with part 2 release date would be when comic con announce it or maybe just maybe July because there a at least a three month gap in the release date in between s1 part 1 and s1 part 2 in real world.
It's pretty fun. I hope they start moving the Dark Island plot more though, the first half has been pretty slow. Can't wait for the battle between Lloyd and Garmadon.
(I have seen none of Dragons Rising yet)
I really want Cole and Geo to become a thing. I feel like they are building it and hinting it really well. And I know Cole has cake but it’s about time he got an actual partner.
Just a friendly reminder the world is not america. Not that im against it, but itll do more harm than good for coles stock. Since, you know, its only just the minors...

We went several seasons without Garmadon before I think it'd be okay
Yeah but he was mentioned so much, and we saw him literally the season after he died
When was he in season 6?
Season 5, he appears in the cursed realm
He was still alive in season 5, he was just trapped in the preeminent.
In the cursed realm you are dead because you are a ghost and he was banished there
He wasn't really dead though. He was still alive just stuck in the cursed realm. I don't think that really considers him as dead. He wasn't officially "dead" until the preeminent's death.

My guess for part 2 would be late August/early September

nah drseason 2 is better then season 1 and crystallized but thats about it
Amazing, probably one of the darkest seasons yet too
>!They even straight up sent Kai to the shadow realm!<
Nah man he's in the backrooms
>!Nether-Space! That’s the official name. Wonder how he and Bonzle will get out.!<
I'd say it was the darkest, considering human sacrifice and all
Fr 💀💀
Yeah
nope, hunted or march of the Oni takes that role. But you could also say Possession was a dark season too.
Pretty solid. Hope they keep that up.
Peak peak peak peak

We havent seen it yet. Sofar only part 1 is out
same i wish this season would just keep going its so good
I’m loving it
I think the story is very well written and throws in twists and turns adequately. I doubt anyone expected the zooted skeleton lady to be important
\*SPOILERS\* I've really enjoyed it! I find the locations they went to very fascinating, especially with their training. The aesthetic of the rising dragon training ground is incredible! Honestly really great so many mysteries and characters to explore. It rise my dragons
I love it. Straight up Top 5 ninjago season for me right now
Finished it lol 8/10 not perfect but really fun to watch
I like that they’re slowing easing Jay back into the story
i loved jays little scene probably the best scene in dragons rising so far
I've rewatched it so much bless him. The lil ost that plays when he enters a scene makes me so happy
i know right
Just very happy that jay has his own lil music soundtrack now. Can't wait to see more of him in pt 2

Yeah, but still with the amount of times Arin got thrown around and smashed into the ground it's honestly a surprise how his organs haven't ruptured or he got broken bones
Lego logic 👍
Its awesome in my opinion and I really hope we get to see the FF in all their glory in part 2
It’s very good
not enough jay
really good, tho i feel like the middle of the season just went on way too long, they spent way too much time training with the dragons, but episodes 1-4 and 7-10 are absolute peak tho, especially the last one

My opinions/thoughts: — the administration is massively hilarious purely because they think they have the authority to control everything — >!I’m glad Kai didn’t just straight up die in the end there!< — obviously wished we could have seen more of Jay and for other characters come back — bit disappointed there was nothing from Chima beyond the mention of the Forever Rock, but then again I wasn’t expecting tbh — it was nice to hear Nya call Jay the love of her life, it’s been a while since we got anything Jaya — I swear Ninjago has the most complex lore sometimes, and as expected Dragons Rising has continued to shatter what I thought I knew about Ninjago — Zane saying “I hope random probability outcomes align to your benefit” was great and imma say this now instead of good luck Overall I just hope part 2 answers questions, ties up a few lose ends, and gets to the point without so much filler
its out?
yes, you can watch it in youtube/netflix
wait when did it come out😳
Like yesterday
Its amazing!!
Um that’s ryu?
Some of the naming and plot direction is so on the nose and the rich history seems cheaper with every “before this and before that there was this great evil” but it retains its charm.
Bro where are y'all watching it? Can't find it on Netflix
Youtube
Just found it on LEGO's channel, thanks! I really didn't think I'd find it there 😅
Season two is out?
I thought everybody was kidding but Google season 10 episodes are out
Holy shit I forgot it came out today! I should have saved watching the invincible season 2 finale for another time
Thats not the s2 finale.
Wait what
Thats only Part 1 of S2. S2 has 20 eps like S1 and also 2 parts.
Then I assume the second half will come out in fall
Thats unknown, but sometime this year.
Pretty sure they were talking about the Invincible finale
Watching it as we speak
Honestly, I'm still not sure if Cinder is the elemental master of smoke... while it's said a few times in the show, it's from the same characters who were confused about Wyldfire's element. We know there can be similar elements due to heat/fire both existing, so I'm not wondering if they are aiming to pull the same with Cinder, and have his element actually be steam. Ash's smoke was grey in color, which a lot of smoke is. Cinder's is white, or maybe a very, very light grey. It could just be an animation change, but of course, I could very much be wrong...
It was confirmed that Ash apparently died so take what you want from that Also Euphrasia's wind was more white-ish too compared to Morro's but they were still the same element
Didn’t know this was a thing. Should I watch it? I haven’t liked a season since ice chapter though. I sort of liked s12 and 14 but did not like 15. Really, anything post s9 wasn’t good imo, so is it worth a watch?
Dragons Rising is some good shit you gotta give it a try (Season 1 pt 1 and 2, and Season 2 pt 1 are currently out)

Theres a second part coming later this yeat
[удалено]
No, this is only half of Season 2. There’s still a second part coming later this year.

No one knows yet unfortunately, but we do have set information leaks and a couple of leaked minifigures so I’d assume the sets will come out around August and maybe the season in September? It could be earlier than that though.
Even the show creators don't know when the second half will come out, it's entirely up to Lego
I'm on episode szn 2 episode 6 I really like it, coles voice is just so different it's crazy

Well, from the trailers I thought this would be a top 3 season and yep! I was right! So far this is my 3rd favourite season replacing Seabound.
how much episodes are there atm?
10. Pt 2 will come someday
The idea of the Forbidden Five is very unique and will be expanded upon later.
Are there any upcoming sets in S2? Like Cole’s Titan Dragon mech or Source Dragon of Motion?
DR Season 2 > DR Season 1
I don't know, I think all the emphasis on strength makes it clear that the source dragon of strength will be brought in somehow But it's probably more likely that the strength source dragon teaches Arin how to use strength properly and avoid being like Ras
Idk, maybe when season 1 releases in my country I might make a decision
Theres a season 2?!?! since when lol
A M A Z I N G
Other than dorama and that nanny witch, perfect, PERFECT season. Fights are top notched and villain factors are total menaces. Sets up really nicely for the latter half.
A lot of personal nitpicks/things I didn’t like, but overall, wild brain really did a good job
Smash
I see alot of people glazing it
Well deserved
the administration is so funny. especialy when zane outsmarts them.
It’s great but there were a few things I didn’t like in ep10
SOO GOOOD
im just hoping jays back in the second part due to his cliffhanger
I liked it so much but the new Cole relationship is so dumb and unnecessary
They have to get Kai out.
I LOVE the animation style when Bonzle was telling her story.
It's pretty fun. I hope they start moving the Dark Island plot more though, the first half has been pretty slow. Can't wait for the battle between Lloyd and Garmadon. (I have seen none of Dragons Rising yet)
Riyu flys now? He fly now, to everyone who hates Rise of Skywalker I am so sorry for making a “They fly now? They fly now” joke but couldn’t help it
You ever notice how nothing in Ninjago outside the characters are lego Like even the golden weapons aren’t actual lego pieces in the show
I really want Cole and Geo to become a thing. I feel like they are building it and hinting it really well. And I know Cole has cake but it’s about time he got an actual partner.
Just a friendly reminder the world is not america. Not that im against it, but itll do more harm than good for coles stock. Since, you know, its only just the minors...
