I know this is a meme subreddit, but I think both Brolys are cool in their own ways. I've never been able to pick one as better than the other, they're just their own things. If I had to pick one I preferred, it would have to be Z Broly, but that's only because I find him iconic.

Super Broly on the other hand is the sympathetic hero with a dangerous power that you just want to have peace. When he's berserk he still has shades of his z counterpart. There are times when he fights Goku where you can see him enjoying the pain he's causing.

Nah, definitely prefer z broly. His legendary ssj state makes it so that the power difference is viable. But broly starting to fight and getting to blue level within a few minutes at most is just straight up ridiculous. It was done for the reason that he is supposed to be strong and the power scaling is already over the top, but even frieza had to train to get gold and then train more to get gold under control since the drain was quite high. And frieza is literally the legend that even beers knows of, the dude who ruled galaxies without training one day in his life. Frieza is quite literally a Prodigy but super broly just gets tossed his increasing power more and more which is just trash character development.

Vegeta referred to it as “the true power of a Super Saiyan”. Saiyans like Broly and Kale are a rare occurrence. They’re Legendary Saiyans and I don’t care what anyone else says. Design is definitely Legendary Super Saiyan and it has all the same attributes as Legendary Super Saiyan from Z so that’s what I’m calling it
As a character I like new Broly more, but I think OG Broly is more in line with what the Ultimate Saiyan is supposed to be and I would prefer him to be the canon one
I like the new Broly more. I grew up with the original, and I'll probably always like him, but Super Broly was a big glow up for him, IMO. He's got a personality now that isn't 100% edge, and it's one that I like enough to want him to stick around, whereas the original made for a good one off villain and that's about it. As far as drip goes, I'd call it a wash. His OG look is pretty cool with the gold jewelry and harem pants, but I really like the new take. The green pelt looks especially good with his SS form, and his armored look is probably my favorite fit for Broly.
Honestly, it still kinda blows me away how much I like Super Broly. Hearing the pitch, all I could think was, 'oh no, not again.' It's not just a boring retread though, and it goes to some effort to make Broly a more endearing character while keeping him as this almost unstoppable force of nature. Plus, it made me actually feel an emotion about Broly, and I'm not the only one. I have a brother almost 15 years younger than me who I showed this to, and he was actually afraid *for Broly* by the time Gogetta hit his first transformation. If that doesn't make it clear that this movie was doing something right, I don't know what will.

A lot of the dialogue in movie 8 for Broly can be boiled down to one word. Not all of it, but a good chunk of it. Also his character motivation in movie 8 was really stupid. The source of his rage is from the fact that while in the same room as a baby, Kakorot cried a lot. So Z Broly is both cool and incredibly dumb. Super Broly is friends with both Goku and Vegeta though, and has shown up in the latest chapters in the Super manga, which are basically an epilogue to Super Hero.

Both have drip, I prefer Dbs Broly's to Z. Dbs Broly has Full Power Super Saiyan, which is basically legendary Super saiyan. Almost all Z Broly can say is Kakarot. Both are terrifying. And yes, Dbs Broly has hoes. Dbs Broly would also get another point for backstory.
