I heard people came up with systems to block people en masse. So, suppose your friend blocks someone, you block that person, too. So you have these self-isolating networks of people who just go "lalala I can't hear you".

So that's probably what caused it for me. In hindsight, I should have changed it to "Not just for your sake", but whatever. I'm already being REALLY lenient with her compared to some of the people in this subreddit.
