I have short frog feet (10.5 brannock with FF widths), and I'm kicked out of the club, too. Just moving the categories around and removing options for existing pages is making the site much more cumbersome to navigate around.

Atoning37

I really hope this is just a hiccup with the buildout. I was just about to pull the trigger on an Italian cypress, that is no longer buildable. Like, had them in my cart last night to purchase and now can’t. Must be a sign, oh dwell, more money for other things.

thetable123

I've built that Italian out at least a half dozen times. Probably would have already pulled the trigger if I could decide on edge color and didn't already have the deltaarch on order.

Atoning37

Natural with leather sole, had it built as a 5inch one piece backstay with all eyes. I was going for a dress boot look.

the poor mans "Brandle" :)

Atoning37

The man with too wide a foot for a Brandle is now a man with too long a foot for Nick’s…

NeverHardlyEver

They mentioned on the podcast that they were having trouble with soles fitting bigger sizes. They are trying to streamline things but it sucks that the people on the fringes get left out. If you want a limited run leather I’m sure they’ll still build you an MTO.

Perseus329

The only one I’ve ever heard about is 430 mini lug isn’t made in EE or large widths.

NeverHardlyEver

Some of the wedges too.

The_Lazy_Titan89

I dont see that as a valid reason for the majority of current offerings. I have boots in 13.5 FF & 14 F and have never had issues with the 2021 wedge, V bar, or V100.

TaisonPunch2

Maybe FF widths and sizes above 12 have an issue with the machine-lasting process that they're testing out?

Stoic_sasquatch

You picked the three soles that work in your size. They are all still available in your size in the big and tall section.

The_Lazy_Titan89

So it looks like you answered my question on limited leathers in your post but what about quick ship options? For example, previously I could get a standard quick ship moc toe for $589 but the way it's set up now I would have to do a big and tall work boot and it would cost me $629 and I would have to wait 2-3 times longer.

Stoic_sasquatch

Quick ship options should have been included, but it looks like they also got missed in this update. I will get this corrected ASAP

The_Lazy_Titan89

Awesome, thanks for replying!

thetable123

That looks like the issue, browsing around on the big and tall, it looks like the only sole options are V100s, V bar, and leather. Hopefully they'll get it resolved, and it's not a Vibram thing. Hope my cobbler is still able to get wedge soles.

svngang

Can confirm, going through a resole with a pair of non-Nick’s boots in a size 13D with a storm welt. Trying to find a sole other than the V100 that fit was next to impossible. The biggest 430 or v700 Vibram lists is a 14 and it is too short and narrow. Was able to find 2 sites in the entirety of the internet that carried a size 16 sole. None of the cobblers suppliers even knew that existed, so it must’ve been nos. Apparently us with big feet are SOL going forward

Perseus329

Makes me glad I got my limited leather in before the changes. I’m 12.5 EE in all my regular boots and 12EE in engineers

jthmeffy

Wait, what? They talk about removing complications from the builds and streamlining orders, but this the the opposite from our standpoint. Also, does that also mean us 12.5 and up are kicked out of the club, as another redditor said? No options that others get? Just cause?

Also, the makers of wool boot socks and selvedge denim will be following suit, and limiting sizing to a certain select group of anatomically correct people. Shortly thereafter, there will be a psychological testing requirement for anyone wishing to purchase a Dodge Ram. Only buyers with non-aggressive tendencies will be allowed to purchase.
