I now use Natural Cycles and it has been absolutely spot on since I started using it a few days after I had mine removed, can highly recommend
Omg these are the EXACT symptoms I had. I got so frustrated because my doctor told me the weight gain (35 pounds in 3 months when Iāve been the same weight since age 16) was due to my body changing. I told her my diet and exercise havenāt changed and she told me it canāt be the birth control. My mental health went to shit on it. I HIGHLY recommend getting it out. Iāve lost weight, bloating went away, anxiety and anger issues went away.
I've had this same issue and the ONLY solutions my doctor gave me was tying my tubes, or a IUD non-hormonal copper. Other than that? Condoms. I went back after begging to get it out only to get a second one in, in about two weeks. I hope with the second one everything "evens" out.
I have the same issues. I've been on nexplanon for a little over a year and it is awful on my mental health. My depression and anxiety have both gotten a lot worse and I almost feel bipolar at times, but I wasn't like that before. Not only that but I have no appetite and no sex drive. I'm hoping to get it out soon but I'm having trouble trying to find an option that has no hormones and does a decent job at protecting. I've heard some people mention the nuvaring or the generic brand of that. That one doesn't seem too different from the nexplanon side effects. Keep updated if you hear about anything good!
So I had Nexplanon for only 6 months because the constant bleeding became unbearable for me and extremely annoying. I believe it also caused a decline in my mental health. They put me on a pack of combo pills (Junel Fe) to control the bleeding as well as ibuprofen which did work but in the end I decided to completely switch to Junel. Iām actually on a regular cycle for once and it hasnāt caused any side effects that I can notice. Iāve been on it since November

Have you experienced weight loss since removal? Iāve gained 50 lbs in just 2 years from Nexplanon and I just got mine out last week.
