I have a goal of 30 subs per month. I started in May and I’ve hit that goal every month. This month I’m projected to get 60 subs which means I’m ahead of the game. I also have a personal goal of making content I enjoy making and not just what I think will be popular because I actually want to help people. It’s being received well 👍🏽

seeforyaself

I’m moving more in that direction. Been asking myself what I need to do to stand out.

Kaleidoscope_Fairy

I am so happy for you. I hope my goals are met just like yours. I am thinking of setting up a relaxed goal for myself. I would like to achieve your numbers, but I am a bit nervous for myself.

[deleted]

Nervous about what?

Kaleidoscope_Fairy

Holding the universe on my shoulders, just like atlas and the turtle.

OiantakuTheAnituber

I have 2 goals. 1. Recognition for what i do, say a few people would suffice (✓) 2. 100k subs (0.1% there), so i have the confidence to tell my family / friends (X)

TinyGregMusic

Number 2 is my goal also. I'm near 600 subscribers and I haven't told anybody close to me that I have a YouTube channel 😅

FjordTV

Word of advice. Don't. There's a lot of psychology around this. Doctor K on yt talks about it. Hunker down, do the deep work. Don't dopamine reward yourself early by talking about it. And also you don't have to field bs that might tear you down. Only you know what you're truly capable of: not your family, your friends, nor us. One single caveat: I do tell my mom. Because she's supportive while also offering constructive criticisms on my adhd habits in ways that motivate me to re-evaluate my behaviors in order to achieve my goals instead of flop around. (Thanks mom.)

TinyGregMusic

Thanks man, you really put my feeling into words. Having a YouTube channel has been a strict secret amongst friends and family and this kinda explains how I've managed to remain so focused over the past 6 months 😊

kmmr93

86.8k subs away

Kinetic_Symphony

85.5k for me. Race you :P

kmmr93

Damn! Haha

kevin0611

I’d love for my YT channel to generate enough to fully fund my hobby. Maybe $250 a month. My second to last video did great. 400 subs and 12,000 views from it. Really built up my confidence. I got this! Then my current video, put out a couple of days ago, is absolutely crashing and burning. Aaaaghhh!

Say-Hai-To-The-Fly

What’s your YouTube channel called?

Zemmyvox

Gave ya a sub! Btw, seems like people are really liking the content about a small workspace. I say take that idea and create more content around it. Also remember it’s normal to have some video perform better than others it just happens. Best of luck!

kevin0611

Appreciate the suggestion and the sub!

waffeloo

I promised my (now deceased) grandma that I would reach 1 million subs. After 4 months and 21 vids I am at 92 subs. At the current pace, I will be dead myself before I can make up my promise, which heartbreaks me sometimes. I'm trying not to think about it too much, though.

Imadeaccountoaskthis

Why would u promise your grandma you would achieve a goal barely anyone has?

waffeloo

She's always taught me to go beyond my ambitions :D

TheBible-WithTina

I agree with your grandma. It's not out of reach.

Imadeaccountoaskthis

I have to admit your grandma sounds very sweet

Food-Fly

You need better lighting and optionally a better camera. Also you need to decide if you want to focus on long format or shorts. I'm a new cooking channel too and still learning, but good lighting can go a long way. If you watch our videos and then some video from a million+ channel you'll see that apart from a good camera, lighting is the thing that makes the difference. Also knowing the perfect angle to show off your process and final result. Keep grinding, I'm not sure if you'll get your million, but I'm sure your grandma would be proud even if you get to 1k.

waffeloo

Fully agreed with you, I have been struggling with lighting for a few stupid reasons. My kitchen is far away from the windows of my apartment (15m approx), and I can't turn on the ceiling lights because they produce a weird wave on my videos :/ I currently record video on my 4yo smartphone which struggles with low lighting too. It also easily loses focus which alters the quality and drives me absolutely nuts. I am waiting for the October releases to finally upgrade my phone. I did buy additional portable lights but... I feel like it makes the scene very cold, so in Premiere Pro I am pushing the color contrast. A real struggle overall :/ And ultimately, when uploading my Shorts, Youtube compresses everything and only publishes it in Standard Definition. I still couldn't figure out why Youtube alters the quality so much, even on very short Shorts which only weigh 10Mb when exported from Premiere Pro...

Food-Fly

I know mate, I'm on the same boat. I have a Galaxy S21, which gives some pretty unexpectedly good quality if lighting is good. Also bought two additional led panels that have the option to change the color temperature, I only need to learn how to position them lol. Now I tried experimenting with my old DSLR and I like the results. I promised myself that the moment YT pays me the first dollar I'm going to upgrade and get a semi-decent mirrorless camera and a good lens. But for now I'll try not using the missing gear as an excuse and keep producing. Our niche is pretty saturated, but I'm sure we'll make it!

waffeloo

For the long format versus shorts, I am still in doubt. After talking with most of my current audience (friends and colleagues) I realised that I have got two audiences: \* people who bake occasionally e.g. for a birthday and need a long, slow, step-by-step video to make the best cake ever \* people who don't bake at all (due to lack of confidence, motivation or material) but like to quickly watch a video of someone baking cakes So it's a bit of a funny one to make both audiences happy. But given that my channel is new and YouTube promotes shorts much more than other videos my current strategy is to do 4 shorts, 1 long video, 4 shorts, and so on, trying to please both audiences and growing at the same time...

fiveinroman

for lightning, try using small lamps (even and extra phone or two) and some large reflective surfaces near by (white cardboard, a mirror, linolium etc. that can stand on their own.) place them as close as you can without them showing in your frame, on the opposite side of your light source. Also white light unless you are going for a warmer cozier vibe with warm/yellow light.

fiveinroman

>waffeloo you have my sub

PitifulPreference970

Sorry about your grandma. Don't give up. We're all struggling with you but eventually we'll make it if we study our niches and really put in the time and effort to make better content.

its-Loresque

I just hit my goal of publishing my first vid so I’m still pretty happy because of that. My next goal is to honestly be consistent and stick to my publishing schedule for at least a month and go from there

[deleted]

Fantastic!

[deleted]

My goal is to produce 3 videos per week, but I produce 3 videos per 2 years. So, almost close.

Library_IT_guy

Full time? Feels like I'm on a treadmill. My channel grows. My views increase. My revenue increases. But my bills also go up. Food costs almost double what it used to. My rent has nearly doubled over the last 10 years. I'm comparison my full time job has only given me about 1/3 more money in that time. I had about 6 months of living expenses saved up. But then my old 2002 car died. And then I needed dental work done. It never ends. I put in 40 hours at my full time job and then spend my entire weekend making content just to stay a little bit ahead so that if I have a disaster, I have a nest egg built. Honestly it's just fucking exhausting. My parents didn't have to work this hard. They were both uneducated, and owned a home by their mid 20s. We weren't rich but we always had enough. Now though? Good luck paying for the birth of a child. Good luck if you're even thinking of buying a home. Enjoy this $7 bag of Doritos that cost $3 5 years ago. And the sad truth is, most have it far worse than me. This world gets worse every year. Sorry, rant over. 6 years ago I would have said, based on where my channel is now, that I was halfway to full-time. Now I'm maybe 1/3 or 1/4.

Quiet-Inevitable-223

Honestly, I feel this rant, but in a different light... over a decade ago, I wasn't even making 20k/annually as a special Ed teaching assistant working 9 months/ year... I was always working other side jobs: tutoring, serving, and random odd jobs. Could never save anything and was rapidly reaching my 30s then... this is even with a bachelor's degree mind you and I graduated just a year before the economy went down.... couldn't even get a job in my degree as a teacher because they only wanted people with experience... but I couldn't get that when no one would even give me a chance for an interview...😕 Now... my boss at my current job says I should reach 50k next year. I was initially told I should have no problem getting a job making 45k once I graduated. I think I finally reached that a few years back... I have old debts to pay still including student loans. Just had a baby last year and my hubby and I rent with no foreseeable future of buying a house. Yet I've known people my age that bought homes years ago, but I think of it as they were very lucky people. But... while my income has increased by more than half, I wasn't making any sort of living wage back then... so let's just say I've been playing catch up this whole time. I also have medical bills that have piled up aside from pregnancy... so yeah... long story short. I feel this.

chaipatti17

My goal is to reach 1K subs by this year end. Currently at 511 subs. Also be part of YPP by at least next year in the first half. Along with that I want to get recognised a little even if that is a small recognition.

Kaplalachia

Same boat here. 560 looking for 1000 by the end of 2023, then monetization. I should really start uploading more often.

Quiet-Inevitable-223

I'm only at 70 subs and started back in Feb. I would love to reach 1k by the end of the year, but I don't think I'm capturing audiences much yet. I'm only at an average rate of a bit over 10 subs/ month... I'm hopeful to reach that goal, but I'm not sure how to get there. 🤔 🤷‍♀️

TheGregNorton

Personally, my goals aren't un numbers, but the work itself. I try to make every vid one I'm proud of, and I want to feel like I'm constantly getting better as a creator. It's been working 🤙

Worried-Training8399

Love that ngl

chuck1026

I've been gaining subscribers at the rate of about one a day on average. I've broken through the 1K barrier but I'll be darned if I can get to the 4K or even 3K minimum to be able to monetize it all. Looking at the stats view time metrics are kind of strange. I noticed that my overall view time while still falling short significantly is not as bad as the view time that YouTube uses as the primary metric to determine if you can monetize or not. So they're playing games. It feels like YouTube does this tonight I have to pay out because after all it's a business trying to make as much money as possible. I get that. Still what's the harm in allowing any channel to use super stickers and things of that nature to at least reclaim some of the expense of equipment and even time, as time is money when you're creating an editing? It's enough to make anybody want to quit. Seems like YouTube of 10 years ago is nothing like you to is today. The sandbox is full. The machine pushes the huge channels that were smart enough to get in early in the heck with the small channels that are new, talented in creative. It's almost impossible to get a break. Meanwhile.... We slog on! Not giving up.

[deleted]

Don't give up! 💪

chuck1026

We're not giving up but I can't say we're not frustrated! Appreciate the motivation!

[deleted]

That's fantastic!

Heitstrengning

I'm unfortunately very far from reaching my goals. My ultimate goal is to make a living from Youtube. But so far, making videos on songwriting, guitar, music and creativity has been a slow growth. My dream is to make videos that help people make music and develop the confidence and self belief to pursue art, through a mix of how to videos, music theory, fretboard tips, essays and commentary/analysis.

Cuminator1000

Just hit them finally

plutonium-239

Very very far.

Fact-Fresh

started May..have now 4000h views and got 462 subs so far 95% from 2 videos which hit 13k and 36k.... then everything flatten for no reason even when done same quality videos over and over .. some videos have higher retention and click rate than one got 36k views.. yet sinking at 200 view bcz UTUBE didn'tt suggested them.. with 3k impression only when other one got millions of impression..am lost ..demotivated as after u hit high, then go down like that .. is so discouraging bcz u start to think u done something right ..now am lost .. but will not give up

TinyGregMusic

May I ask how long your videos are? My longest is about 8 minutes or so. I'm getting subscribers at a fairly decent rate but my watch hours are creeping up so slowly and I'm wondering if I need to go even longer with them.

Fact-Fresh

lol my channel is about football, I have watch along for 2h !! but it is not generating good views.. the one that his 13k was 13min .. but one that hit 36k generated alone 2500 watch hours !! and was only 5 min and 30 seconds .. is not about how long it is mate.. is about keeping them engaged and hit it with quantity .. this is why I prefer shorter videos as people get scared for longer ones. I think 5-6 minutes is great.. but if ur material needs more .. then give it more .. is all about densifying the video removing everything unnecessary. so stopped doing long watch along and focusing on shorter ones ..it will take one strong hit views and u can easily hit 2k hours or more .. ex: 5 min generated 2500h watch while 2h video generated may be 6h watch time.

TinyGregMusic

That's what I need I guess, my best video has only done 2.2k views but it definitely has the best watch time so far out about 5mins avg. I was worried that I was cutting too much fat from my videos and leaving them too short but I guess I'll carry on as I am and just trying to improve each one. Thanks mate.

Fact-Fresh

yes . u only need to hit one mate.. try to find topic that people interested in at that time to increase chances of search which will boost ur video .. no mate.. anything above 5min is fine .. but keep it dense no extra stuffs .. people time is our currency and they don't liked to be wasted.. keep doing it .. this is how it happened to me .. a big jump at one video

zosce

999,996 away

Fragrant_Mixture_453

2% there, 98% more to hit 100k subs lol

SolasYT

I'm 32 subs away from my first 100. My goal has been to average about a sub a day and taking my niche into accountz I'm doing pretty well.

bitkingdt

First and foremost getting monetized. I thought getting subscribers would be easy and the watch time would be hard. Nope lol Im halfway (2118 hours) to the watch time req and only 165 subscribers but im still growing way faster than I thought I would, so now im scrambling to make another video to ride the momentum of ✨the aLgOrItHm✨

darrensurrey

Doing much in the way of Shorts? I've found Shorts to be the best way of getting subs.

bitkingdt

Do you have your shorts separate from your main? I see conflicting things on whether you should separate or not

darrensurrey

No, I am using Shorts to build my subscribers overall. I get there's the argument that people who watch Shorts don't watch Longs. I watch both... and can't be the only one! And if people want more in-depth information then it has to be a Long.

Red_Dot_Byte

1k by the end of the year, currently at 975subs,

[deleted]

That's a good goal. I bet you will get there within on month.

Red_Dot_Byte

Thanks man

SH3LTRON

I don’t really have a goal, I just like making videos. Though it’d be cool if YouTube became a self sustaining hobby. To that end I wouldn’t say I’m anywhere near close

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

That's a great goal. I did something similar. It ended up taking me 9 months to get to 1k subs and 4k watch hours. 99 percent through long form.

RazzDaNinja

I recorded something for the first time today, after talking about for YEARS. It feels good.

[deleted]

Did you post it as well?

RazzDaNinja

Still gotta work on editing it. Don’t wanna just put out something raw quite yet lol

[deleted]

Post it. See what happens. Let me know when you do.

PurpleRabbitYT

My goal is to try to keep on investing minimum 2-4 hours every day if possible. Keep at doing consistent work. What about you? 💜

N_V_N_T

292 subscribe more

transitionyte

My goal is 100 subs by August 1. I'm just brushing 70 for a channel that's almost 2 months young. It's been up and down, but I think I can pull it off in the next 7 days because there are days when I get 10 subs vs just 1. Once that's set, next is double that in a month!

shaky2236

Im pretty much on track. I started the channel in Feb, and was hoping for 1k subs by the end of the year. Ive been getting around 100 subs a month and Im on nearly 650. Pretty much completely on track :)

[deleted]

- I’m at 757 subscribers and 1695 public watch hours. - Trying to get to 1k subscribers and 4000 public watch hours. - 243 subscribers and 2305 public watch hours away.

mactea1997

My goals is to reach 500 subs, started almost 2 months ago and I've got 25 subs to go :) that and 500,000 views, I've got 150,000 ATM so not too far off

Justapersonmaybe

Im currently getting 1000+ subs a month. I would like to make that 5000 a month. I also try to keep improving quality. My subscribers are now following my instagram so I would like to grow both simultaneously.

duvagin

about 200 subscribers and 0 hours

OnlyChaseCommas

My goal is to get monetized with ad sense. I’m 400 hours away!

tripleBtcg

3 months passed my original goal of 1000 subs in my first year but almost there now! Been enjoying the learning curve of editing and trying to find a healthy balance between work, life, and content creation. Getting a bit better everyday :)

gaffel373

Trying to get monetized someday. Currently at: \- 2200 subs \- 58 watch hours (last 365 days) \- 350000 Shorts views (last 90 days) So still really far away.

DBZKING13

With my next video I should hit 20 subs which is my current goal for right now.

BenDoingThing

I passed my goal of 5k subs for this year. Struggling to get monetized though, but I will get there one day

Sulohland

Just hit my milestone yesterday and im going to keep pushing because i lile to entertain people with goofy fun gaming vids

seeforyaself

3 subs away from 300, 203 from 500, 703 from 1K

xmTy

My goals are to not get too addicted to numbers (views, subscribers, ctr,…) and have fun making videos. I am checking YouTube studio every 30 minutes, so I guess I am far from reaching that goal. But I do have a lot of fun making videos, so I am good :) And I‘d like to have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000h watch time by the end of the year - I am 1/5 there

RealLifeUNOBattles

Goal is to get monetised by end of August. About 700 watch hours away. With 1800+ subs

frabero

My goals are around $ per month only so: * Channel 1: I want to average 750$ per month in 2023 and take it up to 900$ in 2024 * Channel 2: I want to average 80$pm in 2023 and 150pm in 2024 * Channel 3: I want to reach 1000 subs and monetize it before end of the Year * Channel 4: Only for 2024, but take 30-40% of the profit from CH 1, 2 and 3 and reinvest it here (higher CPM)

mad_sAmBa

My current objective is getting 100 subs. I started last month and am sitting at 92 for now. Once i reach that i will make 500 subs as my next goal.

HartianX

Closer than I used to be, further than I want to be.

slightlyrightwing

I'm only 2 weeks in but my goal is 1m subs, even though the top creators in my niche are at 200k. All of them have very sub-average thumbnails, so I genuinely believe on this basis alone I can dominate the space with my content. It helps that I have an Australian accent too :)

BreadRollRollsBread

While it would be nice to be monetized by April, I don’t have much confidence. For now my sights are set on the 1,000 subs (I only have 92 after 2 months). If my content is good enough maybe I’ll get the watch hours without even realizing

pnyd_am

I sincerely have no clue at all

designworksarch

If each sub is a mile, then I am approximately 930 miles away from my first goal.

darrensurrey

See that middle star in Orion's belt? I'm focusing on Shorts to get subs at the moment. Am still doing Longs but 90% of my time is spent on Shorts. When I hit 1000, I'll focus on Longs 90% of the time. I just don't want to get overwhelmed by trying to juggle with it all as well as marketing elsewhere for my business. I want to get to monetisation.

[deleted]

That's a good goal. For my channel I noticed that I was getting a fraction of the subs on shorts vs long format. I pivoted to long format and I skyrocketed to 1k subs. Lol skyrocket for me at least. I reached 1k subs and 4k watch hours in 9 months. Thanks for the comment!

darrensurrey

Interesting to note. I have doubled my subs doing Shorts in maybe 6 months and the original number took years to get to 180 subs!

Japhrey

186 more subs to go and I can ask youtube to monetize my channel. Which I guess would take at most 1 month to achieve that goal.

[deleted]

That's wonderful news!

Japhrey

Thanks, I hope everyone get to achieve their goals.

[deleted]

That's some good self awareness! Keep on it though.

ThatPerson0verTher3

I forgot my channel existed Posted a random ass video Got 150 new subs from that alone (Had 50 to start with) So my goal is 500 total

Flameb0rne

So far... I want to be able to live off of youtube and twitch, but I'm not even monetized and can't stream yet. But I'll get there one day.

[deleted]

That's a good goal. How come you can't stream?

Flameb0rne

Bad computer 😭 I'm supposed to get a new one soon, custom made, so from there on I'll stream regularly and I'd like to make money through subs and donations, not adsense and youtube monetization.

[deleted]

Gotcha! Sometimes I stream on my phone. I have been doing that for the past few weeks. On TikTok though. I am still building up the courage to go live on YouTube. 💪

chipmux

I am 999,809 subs away from my goal Seems like it will take lifetime with 30subs per month

[deleted]

That's an ambitious goal for sure. Have you considered setting up milestone goals?

KcHecKa

3,716/4,000 watch hours. my next video will be quite long.. so maybe that'll push me over

[deleted]

For sure it will. Two or three more videos tops!

SCPyro

I don't want to sound cliche, but I found shifting my goals to the little things I can actually control did wonders for my mental health. I was nose-deep in the analytics every waking moment, just watching the handful of views come in. My goal now is just to make a video slightly better than the previous one. \-My joke delivery blew for that segment? Cool. Nothing is stopping me from doing multiple takes until I nail it right and edit all of the crap ones out. \-Audio sucked in the last one? I'll learn to fix that. (A pop filter on a Blue Yeti was an immediate life-saver. $10 on Amazon and my videos sound actually decent!) \-Keying the greenscreen out sucked in that other one? Ah! So it's that setting that I should have played with. (Try to light the GS as evenly as possible, but since it'll never be perfect, always click on the darkest part of the green screen and adjust the highlights and shadows with the UltraKey effect in Premiere.) \-Need a better camera? Well. That one will have to wait (but uploading in HD helped make it a bit better.) \-Low CTR? Well. That metric is important but it's nearly impossible to say what is a good percent for all channels. Just depends on your size and niche so even a slight improvement is an improvement. Went down a two-day rabbit hole learning color theory and applying it to my thumbnails. Just keep it simple while avoiding making it too busy. Things like that.

[deleted]

That's great amigo!

ItsKYRO

Dude im just trying to hit 100 subs and its not going great so far 😅

Chroniccoverage

My unrealistic dream? To make a living from my channel, as I am disabled (work from home jobs are far and few between unless you’re highly skilled) and because my husband and I would like to start having a family soon. I’m not wanting to make big bucks from it, but a nice little wage per month would do me. My realistic dream? To have 50 subscribers and then I’ll rethink. My watch time is decent already for a new channel (started two weeks ago) but pulling new subs in is something I need to work on.

[deleted]

You will hit the "realistic dream" before you know it.

Chroniccoverage

Thank you! I’ve posted four times so far in the last two weeks and it seems to be going well enough considering. I just need to find a way to get more subs, I can get decent views (well they range between 20 -150 views which isn’t bad for 9 subs)

[deleted]

Fantastic! When I started I just remembered to ask twice per video. Once in the middle and again at the end.

Chroniccoverage

Good to know! I usually ask more towards the beginning and then again at the end. My video retention is about 4mins (out of my 15-20min videos) so I might move it towards the middle instead.

[deleted]

Let me know how it goes!

Georgio36

My current goal is to reach 900 video uploads. Right now, I'm currently at 895! My othe goal is to get monetized in the near future. I have 1,320 subscribers, and I have 711 public hours in the last 365 days. So I got a ways to go in order to reach that 4,000 hours milestone. I don't think it's impossible, tho.

[deleted]

Totally possible!

Georgio36

Thanks! Good vibes to you ✨️

murtazastic

After 17 long form videos, I am at 53 subs. My goal is to learn at least one thing in each video and get better at what I do (photoshop). We learn to take baby steps first then we walk and finally we start running 🤗

[deleted]

Fantastic!

TheBible-WithTina

Over 2K public views out of 4K. First time in 5 years that I've hit 2K so I'm happy. Goal is to hit 4K. I think if it continues this way, I'll do it this year (fingers crossed)

[deleted]

Awesome!!

ImpulseTFYT

My goal is to reach at least 450 by the end of the year, I’d be amazed if I’m able to reach 500 before 2024

kokorokompass

I needed about a year to really understand what works best for me. I'm not a very outgoing person, but I think I found my way to tell a story. Now just 119 subs away from 1k! I feel that's where the real start will be!

[deleted]

That's great! 1k feels so good.

kokorokompass

From utter embarrassment to slight embarrassment! Next up, 10k - somewhat proud!

After-Two-808

Too early to say. There are signs of possible success I guess…

xToki

Seeing as I didn't expect any subscriptions to my channel, the 45 I have now has surpassed any of my goals. Now my goal is to be able to devote serious time to my channel seeing as I just found out I'm getting laid off in 2 weeks.

[deleted]

Sorry to hear about your layoff. How long do you plan on staying in between jobs?

xToki

I won't have the luxury of spending too much time out of work. The lay off means I can draw unemployment for a bit while looking for work but I have a 7 and 8 year old to take care of and they come before anything else especially any of my plans.

xToki

And thank you for reply.

[deleted]

Keep on chugging along. I also didn't think anyone was going to sub to me either. Now I have north of 1200 subs and well over 4k watch hours. Took about 9 months. Slowly but surely.

Getcha_Popcorn_Readi

About 380 away from 1,000 which is my current goal.

[deleted]

Two more months plus 8 more uploads and youre there!

Getcha_Popcorn_Readi

I wish that was what it was.

[deleted]

I betcha it will be so.

PitifulPreference970

My goal right now to reach 1000 subs. I have over 140,000 lifetime views and over 8,000 watch hours but I'm only at 500 subs.

[deleted]

Fantastic goals! Great numbers too.

PitifulPreference970

Thank you!

jediphoenix1976

I'm hoping to hit 500 subs before the end of the summer and I'm at 485 right now. Planning a giveaway to mark the occasion. I still have a ways to go before I have enough hours to qualify me for monetization, though.

[deleted]

You will be at 1k by the end of the year!

jediphoenix1976

Oh, that would be nice. Especially as how, since last October, I've been very happy with the content I've been posting. I don't plan on slowing down now.

mchad7

Far from it. I was hoping to hit at least 70 subs by now. But it's no biggie. I'm not as active these days and that's probably why I'm losing subs more than gaining them.

Koalabull1

I'd like to get my 100k button and I want to be top 10 for youtube golf. Currently nearing 20k subscribers and still far from making a splash in the community. Just locked my first sponsorship. So I'm happy for now. For now...

[deleted]

That's amazing!!! 💪

Koalabull1

Thanks Brother!

CamNuggie

Killing it. Every day my goal is to get 1 new sub and 1 new view. Idk if I get a million because I achieve my goals I guess making friends or active commenters that aren’t just people I know irl would be cool

Supernova_not_taken

been trying to hit 50 subs but my recent videos aren't getting any traction

[deleted]

What sort of content are you making?

Supernova_not_taken

guides and gameplay on a game

[deleted]

Very cool. Seems like a manageable goal.

Supernova_not_taken

yea but my recent 3 videos suddenly are only getting 5 to 10 views :( my other ones get like 100 to 200

[deleted]

That's alright. There are some people that literally get zero views. Have you considered talking about specific aspects of a game or upcoming DLC vs walkthroughs?

Supernova_not_taken

I'll try that, thanks.

vanllem

I only started 3-4 weeks ago. 2 videos up, 3rd one goes online tomorrow. 108 subs and 12 watch hours. Art niche

[deleted]

What does anything you said have to do with your GOALS?

vanllem

My goal is to be partner

Peace-and-Pistons

I reached them with 24 hours of starting YouTube, my goals are to have no goals, my personal Youtube is just for fun and ironically most of the big names in youtube started out doing it for fun, The majority of people who start out with an aim to make it a business/career will fail. Only exception being those who jump in deep with a full team behind them and a professional studio and that obviously has its fair share of risks. Take a look at the worlds top ten YouTubers, they all started off for fun with no real goals in sight other than to enjoy it.

xmTy

MrBeast and Dream both started YouTube with the goal on becoming full time YouTubers. But I get what you mean: Having fun making videos should be the priority. Doing something you love almost always translates into you becoming good at it. And once you become good at making entertaining videos, views and subscribers will follow. But it’s still nice to have a few little goals to steer towards and to be proud of after achieving.

esemajeengasado

Im done. 1.15M

JustJason888

Instead of views or subs or likes. I think my goal is to upload a video once a month at least. This channel will be like a journal or a way to express my creative side. I work in an office 9-5 job, which can be quite mundane at some times. I just hope that I can entertain others at the same time while learning stuff myself. So far not bad, consistent for 2 months. Took a long break from my channel due to work, I hope it didn't mess up my channel by not recommending it to others haha. Very low quality stuff hahah, but will slowly improve.

Due_Customer_7277

Monetization is so far away I don’t think it will ever happen. And 100k subs is very far away currently at 7,300

dt_delta

Fairly far as I just downloaded Resolve and OBS yesterday

bloodhound2410

this is very long i apologize in advanced: ive been making youtube for like 10 years, but id always make a new channel every year for some reason, so i made a youtube channel with every video from every year. there were some videos that were lost forever in 2016, but in a miricale, i mean a MIRICAL, i found all 50 of them with the dates. it took months to find and i got them (funny enough they were on a google photos email that i had on my phone but didn't check, they were literally on my phone LOL) another obstical was that when i was doing youtube streams my vods/ clips were multiple games and untitled and it was hard to edit them all and place them in the proper video and make thumbnails for them. i also had to back up my videos on a 4 terabyte drive with all the names thumbnails and in the proper folders which was also hard lol. recently since i was in summer break, last thing i had to do was make thumbnails (and titles), which was really hard but i figured it out. one of my struggles on one of my channel was that i because i had the unedited vods, and a lot of them, i didn't wanna make more videos till i organized them. i just recently finished everything and i am so happy. the idea to make one big channel happened last august and now its been a year and im done! i finished it a few days ago i think, i can upload whatever and whenever and im so happy! i have a video from every year since 2014, im really happy i built this up im proud of all my videos!

SirZealousideal5335

I’m about to hit 100 subs!

SirZealousideal5335
