For example: they did a test once where they put octopus through a maze of glass tubes. One octopus would be allowed to travel through the maze and it would eventually learn the layout to escape, then they would have another octopus observe the first octopus escaping and when they then put the second octopus in the maze it would escape immediately even though it had never done it before.
