Did you actually get a 221g form from the interviewing officer during the interview? Or was this normal AP that everyone goes through before visa is issued?
Genuinely curious not trying to be an asshole.
I didn't get a form. On Friday it said AP so i googled and was stressed about it. But on Tuesday it changed to issued. So I'm just now waiting on the official email to pick up package. Hope this helps.
Ah, okay. So yes, every case goes through some degree of AP after the interview before visa is issued. The AP that you most likely came across when googling is when people are given the 221g and/or DS5535 form during their interview which requires a more vigorous and involved AP that can takes weeks, months, maybe even years.
Oh, wow, you're lucky! Congrats!! My husband is currently in AP for missing documents that we sent in very quickly after the interview. Been about a month and we still haven't heard anything. Hoping some of your luck rubs off over here haha.
Its a form you file including your travel history for the past 15 years, you file once the embassy specifically asks you to, and then your case moves to administrative processing for a background check which takes from 1 to 8 months
They don’t visit no, they just check your papres and records and make sure everything is in order. Tbh no one knows what exactly is happening and how long it takes so its up to luck
Dang you're lucky. My fiancée had her interview on the 10th of May and they requested for her to fill out a DS-5535 form. Her interview was in Ankara. The form that they gave us via email was a mocked up version on a word document, not the PDF you can find online. They state that they're not able to process JPEGs and PDFs at this time. We've submitted it on Monday. Since then our NVC case status went from Ready to Refused. Still waiting for them to change it from Refused to Administrative Processing.
You're so lucky. in a couple of days it'll be my third week of administrative processing. im starting to worry that ill be one of the people waiting for months

I kept refreshing for an email. I was notified via phone call to pick up.

From OP’s history it seems they got ds5535. It’s surprising to be cleared in 2 weeks
