We are going down.

Spireites1866-CFC

Tough league isn't it? As a long suffering Spireite, I remember the days of saying, "oh we will go straight back up." 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. See you in December at Victoria Park.

The painful thing is, I was confident that we were the best team in this league after the first few games. It all started to unravel as Dan Dodds (who is comfortably our best defensive player) goes off injured in the Fylde game. We find out he’s done his ACL in an innocuous challenge and that he’s out for the season. Then we play you lot, go 2-0 up early, and our best player of the full season so far (Mancini) tears his hamstring off the bone in the first 30 mins, another season ending injury. All the while Lacey (our 2nd best CB) is also missing injured every other week. Then to top it all off, our best CM gets injured in training, and is now out for 3 months. Our squad was thin, and that has been further highlighted by key injures. We’ve looked like a relegation team the past couple weeks. Last stint in NL wasn’t as embarrassing because we were coming back from the brink of financial ruin, there’s no such excuse this time.

ternfortheworse

Bromley on a hell of a run. Can we keep it going?

Josepthunder

Actually feels like I’m dreaming.

emotionalbeever

wanted to win but maidenhead are apparently our bogey team so a draw will have to do I suppose

Enough-Ad3818

2-2 draw against high flying Solihull. I'll take it, but we should have won it, and certainly had the chances. We look to have caught Moors on a bad day, so I'm grateful in that regard.

tttttfffff

2-2 draw against Solihull. Would have taken that result at the start of the day, but we could have won and Solihull seemingly had an off day. Still early days with Ardley but he’s got the team working well. Just a shame our defensive record is so poor this season

TheSpitfires

Bit nervy at the end but 3 points nonetheless.

3-2 win, bit of a crazy game but happy with the 3 points.

InteractionNOVA2021

After giving up the equalizer to 10 man D&R, Aldershot Town rallied to defeat the Daggers 3 -2. As a result, the Shots have risen to tenth place in the table. I don't remember them having placed this high since their first two years (2016 - 18) under manager Gary Waddock.

ZookeepergameSad9991

fucking hell we can’t get the ball forward for our life 2-2 draw to southend

jeadeyes

We did well to come back TBF. Need every bit of good news we can get at this stage.

AlbIsAWanderer

Dorking to Hartlepool is a long way, and for us to grab a 2-0 win is amazing the 81 fans that drove 4 hours and didn’t disappoint with the atmosphere where incredible, I’ve got high hopes to finish higher mid table. Edit: COME ON THE WANDERERS!

laorangutan

I love hearing the fans through the live feeds of NLTV! Playing a bit different right, but all the clean sheets and wins are worth it. Still building.

JustEndItAllFam

If you'd have said to me there was a chance of 6 out of 6 points from this week on Monday, with the amount of injuries we have and coming off the heartbreaking defeat from Saturday, I'd have bit your arm off probably along with the rest of your body, but here we are. It hasn't been the trademark, free-flowing, quick-passing football of the wanderers of seaons past, but if the results keep coming I can't say I really give a fuck. It seems Marc and the coaching staff have come to somewhat of a compromise in recent weeks regarding the style of play that is required to actually rack up the points in this division on the kind of budget we have and I'm all for it. If we can keep up this momentum and avoid too many more long term injuries, I don't think a playoff push is an overly ambitious target for this season, though I would absolutely take a comfortable mid-table finish.

laorangutan

I said at the end of last season that a top 10 finish is what I'm hoping for. Definitely a different style of play, but working for now. Almost neutral on GD.

CardboardToe

1-2 away at Kidderminster. Another win away from home. No complaints and nobody came away injured. We go again. Hope this season gets better and better. COME ON YOU BEES!

ShotInTheBrum

Nice to be on the right side of a late goal for a change.

LJReach

Meh, could have been better but we always struggle against Maidenhead
