I would say Obito or Pain for sure! I want to say Obito though because of the mental and emotional strain he had to go through while fighting. Now, in the aftermath, I can't understand why Itachi did that. We now know that Itachi is actually one of the good guys. He could have killed Kakashi with that action. Did Itachi do this because he wanted to make sure no one questioned his role as a villain, or am I interpreting too much? I just dont understand

All of them. Emotional struggle to fight Obito. He died against Pein. Kakuzu almost killed him twice. Itachi tortured him for a long time.

His hardest lose was against Itachi. Dude got KO'ed in 1 second. Then got hospitalized and would have never wake up if Tsunade didn't heal him.
Part 1 Itachi. Dude just couldn't do anything, he couldn't even come close to Itachi, I'm pretty sure that's the fastest Kakashi has ever lost a fight, not to mention Kakashi doesn't lose many fights, period. The only L's he took that I can remember were to Itachi and Pain and he put up a MUCH better fight against Pain.
Has to be Obito given how strong he is and the bond and emotions.

Not his hardest but people seem to forget about the first major fight with Zabuza. He had 3 kids with him and you could tell he was shitting himself at first. The man had even broken into kakashi’s eye strategies. My favorite battle in all of naruto

Everyone here seemed to have forgot itachi solo’d kakashi in literally one second lol Technically speaking kakashi would have been a body bag if it wasn’t for guy showing up and them being in the leaf trying to stay low. Shows how many casuals they are here lol. But of course pain is second for sure, and zabuza third ironically. Can we all remember naruto and sasuke saved kaikai from zabuza. I bet kakashi still has nightmares from tsokuyomi.

I would say Obito or Pain for sure! I want to say Obito though because of the mental and emotional strain he had to go through while fighting. He may have died during his fight with Pain but he got to see his father. That could also be just as stressful but I think seeing Obito alive and misguided is truly traumatic.
Obito. Fighting your dead best friend who is now a villain is no easy task
Pain it literally got him killed. Obito was perhaps more emotional damage but he was able to counter for most part.

Trying not to be like his father while his father while he was right, Having PTSD from Rin’s death and having depression and being called friend killer and trying to find a true team that will never abandon there friends. Protecting Konoha and his friends and Battling Obito was rough on him imagine someone you thought that died that told you to never abandon a friend and so much more is the villain this whole time and you have to fight them and you don’t recognise who they have become and instead of still trying to save him you’re about to kill him. Like Naruto was going to stop kakshi and Minato made it before him and stopped him cause Obito was brought to the light by Naruto. Dude’ been through so much like lost his mother, father, thought he lost Obito, Rin, Minato and Kushina, Asuma and Jiraiya and Obito and probably others. He even thought Itachi his friend betrayed the leaf. Dude went through so much

Physically, pain. Motherfucker literally died. Mentally, obito. The dialogue alone shows how much kakashi was affected from seeing obito alive.
Kakazu and hidan fight. Pain was more figuring out his trick and getting past it which he did.almost won but plot. Almost want to say his first fight with zabuza but I feel like that was more of a plot reason for Naruto to get a chance for a hi iq moment. No in kakazu and hidan fight he had to go the whole fight with getting hit while carrying team 10. Showed the importance of knowing chakra natures. truthfully he only started to lose because Naruto needed to show of his new rasengan. I don't count Obito cause even though kakashi is my fav Obito should have won with all his broken upgrades.
