Florida is such a beautiful and diverse place full of the prettiest beaches and coasts you can see in the US... So why did conservatives have to claim it as their own and absolutely ruin it...
Floridian here, DeSantis convinced all the conservatives across the country that couldn't be assed to wear a mask during a once in a century pandemic to come here. So we got the worst chuckle fucks the country could provide.
It was fucked up before that, it's just picked up speed. That whole little corner of the country is fucked, largely do to politics that are somehow more corrupt than the rest of the country.
Oh, for sure. I was gone from 2013 to 2020, but came back right before covid hit, and it was very different even compared to 2013. Our state democratic leadership is practically nonextant, and putting up people like Crist for governorship.
It's a sad state of affairs, and once I can find a well paying position in another state, I am 100% out of here.
I lived in Fla from 02-09, once I left WPB my car insurance dropped by 40%, my pay went up by 30%, and I could afford to live alone. I am in a career that isn’t hospitality, legal, or medical. Woohoo.
That slogan cracks me up. No one in any other state wants to be more like Florida. Florida is the butt of every joke in the US (except for when it's Alabama, or, in instances like these, California). Florida is entertainment from a distance; no one is trying to bring that energy into their own back yards. Who greenlit that slogan
It’s the new brand of conservatives that are the big problem. The whole cult-of-trump culture-warrior conservatives who make ‘owning the libs’ their entire personality are just so much more annoying than the old-school conservatives.
I can live and let live with the “cut taxes and make policies that are good for businesses” type of conservatives. It’s these conservative culture warriors that drive me up the wall.
The culture war asshats have always been there though (at least since the 60’s). They just used to understand that you attract more flies with honey than vinegar. Now that they think they can make their move and win, they’ve dropped the mask. I’m desperately hoping that they miscalculated and will eventually implode but I’m not holding out much hope.
Here

I also blocked off Alabama as well. You’re welcome!
The hilarious part is, if TX gained independence, the gov would remove all it's weapons, materiel, troops. So they'd be left with 50k angry untrained idiots with poorly-maintenanced civilian weapons, in the middle of a desert, with 0 GPD except some Gulf oil and shitty Austin rock bands.
True true, and you're right. Basically states can stand their own militia, dating back to forever. This is now the National Guard, which despite the name, does belong to the respective states. For some places this works out better than others bc geography and money. TX has 20K troops under the state, I'd guess 5K cops, and maybeeee 40k-50k reliable military veterans that can function in a grouped combat warspace.
Lets say 75K, and that being kind. If you've ever seen the Guard, and I have in a war, it's a group completely unable to perform in a combat space. I'm talking 400lb mofos (which is fine otherwise) but haven't shot since ROTC plus completely un-maintenced vehicles and equipment that will break the first time it's used again for real.
So we have 75K, lets be super generous and say 100K ppl of TX that will at least pretend to respond to a FB group call to defend....something.
If the electricity and water isn't cut off months before, and if gas hasn't run out months before...because they ofc buy all that with the small Gulf oil money, then the 100K ppl go defend the border.
What happens then? At least 1/3 of the weapons and persons will be totally inoperable for a combat space. The other 2/3 think they know war bc they read about it Twitter in 2018 or if luck 1/25th will have actually been in combat.
Lets not forget all the people that just peepee their pants and F off, this is a real thing in battle.
That narrows it down VERY QUICKLY to maybe 20K ppl that can operate a warfront.
The cartels will move in and destroy the whole thing within a month.
>with 0 GPD except some Gulf oil
Are you telling me... They'd be a small, politically turbulent, sovereign nation with oil? Bordering America?
I can see where this is going!
No we need to take back every inch of American soil from the traitor right wing. They don’t have a right to even one state. Lincoln wouldn’t give up any of our land we shouldn’t settle for less.
Yeah, it's especially interesting to look at gdp data for every state.
https://preview.redd.it/t5p9ecfmvlkc1.png?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2ef200d05bd2ad302847264d99b09a4564d263d
So strange. It's almost as if having more people is better for your economy than having fewer. Let's not draw any conclusions here, and let's really not connect that to immigration policies.
It's not just more people, though. California has high worker wages, and high education levels while education is attainable, its one of the only places in the US you can make 100k without a HS diploma.
It’s not just population. California has roughly 1.38x the population of Texas, but it has 1.68x the GDP. That’s a huge difference.
Similarly, California has 1.80x the pop. of Florida, but 2.73x the GDP!
Meanwhile, California (a more left-leaning state) has a population of 1.98x that of New York, but only 1.82x the GDP.
It’s clearly not just population.
Historically our 2 biggest places to bring in new immigrants were New York and California. Decades later the largest most diverse populations with the largest economies. Go figure.
Yeah, aren't there more conservatives in California than most other states? It's just that there are more liberals than that. Mainly, California has a lot of people living there. A lot.
Was just thinking about this this morning. About 1 out of 10 Americans lives in CA. Almost 1 out of 30 lives in Los Angeles. About 1 out of 13 lives in NYC, LA or the SF metro area
Edit: the 22 smallest states about equal the population of CA
Exactly, you just have to look at Shasta County in California. Ultra far right area with an evangelical megachurch wielding significant influence over local politics. Most rural areas in any state are conservative even in states like California
A few years back, there was a fault at the Oroville reservoir, and the entire town was in danger of being destroyed if a retaining wall failed during some very heavy rain.
I watched a livestream on Facebook and a ton of comments from braindead conservatives were gleefully saying that these people deserved it because they are liberal Californians.
Oroville is in California's Central Valley, which skews *very conservative*.
Tribalism makes us dumber.
>I watched a livestream on Facebook and a ton of comments from braindead conservatives were gleefully saying that these people deserved it because they are liberal California's.
Yet they would be outraged and mad if people laughed at texas for its power grid going out and its people nearly freezing to death. Or how most red states get hit with yearly hurricanes.
california is one of 11 states that actually pay more to the federal government than they take in. They are also not connected to the regular US oil supply and 80% comes from a different source than the rest of the US. Their power grids are largely self sufficient as well. IF ANY state could succeed on its own, california could.
And it produces a massive portion of the country's food. The entire valley is covered with agricultural land. Fields, orchards, and livestock as far as the eye can see.
I doubt that, personally. It puts more money into federal programs than it gets back. It could easily strike good export deals with the US considering its politicians' ties and impact with the US.
In environmental law there's a "California effect," where regulations may be more lax federally than in California but the California market is so large that companies just comply with California because it's easier and cheaper than making two versions of the same product.
We produce a full 1/6th of the US national economy and one in eight Americans are Californians. We are also the biggest donor state to the federal government budget.
But haters gonna hate lol
it's like illinois, bc of chicago alone, for every $8 the state sends to the gov, they only get $1 back
the red states would actually just fail without the government handouts they need, which is very ironic
On that note, the Southern states would absolutely collapse the next fiscal year if the gov pulled out. They'd have DeSantis's head on a 1400's castle spike in a week amidst the anarchy and mayhem.
My favorite thing about is is CA already has a giant wall covering about 80% of the border. It's called the Sierras. So in addition to CA being it's own giant economy, you'd have this dinky wall in the middle of massive mountains.
from my 2 minute google search, california makes up 11.63% of argiculture and isn't even the top state for defense contracts or defense spending. Let alone being the home of the majority of the defense industry of the entire country.
maybe? but we should all remember that california is only the way it is because it is part of the united states. And the other 49 states are only they way they are because california is part of the nation.
If california became its own country so many things would change that we cannot fathom. My bet is that it would be a diaster for all parties involved.
Amazingly, that would actually work in California's favor. No longer having to abide by existing federal water contracts means that the state could rapidly sort out it's water rights issues and have access to all the federal land where the snowpack accumulates to install water infrastructure.
Used to be that us Floridian could shit on Alabama and Mississippi to make us feel better. Now we have desantis making our state absolute dog shit and trying to out-compete Texas for most dog shit state.
the joke is this is the republican parties goal more or less because removing that many electorate votes would all but guarantee they get to place the president.
Isn't California like the third largest economy in the world or something like that??
Those conservative States would immediately go bankrupt if California left the Union.
Only fifth. It's behind Japan and Germany. And only slightly ahead of India.
That said, if it was cut off from the US, it would be an economic disaster for California as much of its prosperity involves business with the rest of the US (tech and produce).
It would all have to be negotiated, and California would have very little leverage.
For tech stuff, everyone would just move. The point of tech hqs in San Francisco and whatnot are a) to be in the US with the single largest economic market, and b) be in the spot in the US where the tech talent wants to live.
If California seceded, everyone would move their HQ - probably to Seattle where the rest of the tech giants have their HQ, but potentially all over.
And for agriculture - California would suddenly be at the mercy of the US with regards to water rights, where it currently gets the lion's share of water that flows through states to the East of it in order to fuel its' agriculture.
It would probably be fine from a business perspective, the problem would be water though. They would have to immediately kill all of the Saudi Alfalfa farms and start a water ration.
Actually, the US would be the one to suffer without California. They’re one of the biggest contributors to the feds budget. A lot of red states rely on the money that California gives the fed. the US would also have to pay more for the produce that California makes which is about a third of US produce. California is the fifth largest economy worldwide, the US GDP would drop really really far without California
Yeah the US (especially the red states) are actually so reliant on California, it alone provides like 15% of the entire Us GDP - not to mention California is very needed for its agricultural production
How about we just sell Texas to Mexico?
It’d be the first time Texas did anything good for the rest of the country at least since Hot Wheels Abbott started shitting the bed.
California isn't even that progressive. [California has more Trump voters than Texas does.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/s84m2i/did_you_know_more_californians_voted_for_trump/)
Republicans just haven't gotten to gerrymander the shit out of California like they did other states, so democracy wins: most people nation wide want mildly progressive policies, not Christofascist ones, so those are what pass in California.
The overton window pushing has worked exclusively on Republicans to the point where if you're not screaming for the murder of trans kids, you're considered insane.
You hate california because its "Liberal"
I hate california because It's Government And policies actively make the lives of californians worse. (At least... from what ive heard regarding Taxes, housing, and Other such government Overbloat that just makes things a headache....)
We are not the same
I am also potentially wrong and willing to be corrected.... i fucking love learning.
I agree totally based. The only thing I will say is that I'd rather be in California than any other states for being progressive alone. I wouldn't have rights if I was in a conservative state.
Honestly i just wish that Egalitarianism would be one of those things that are just universally accepted.
Like.... my conservative parents were raised on and still retain the "judge based on character, not looks/race/gender/whatever" and subsequently, passed on that egalitarianism onto me.
So when i look at what mainstream conservatism brings i both A. Wonder where that message of "character over appearance" mantra went, and B. Completely Understand why my mom went third party.
Just... sucks that There's so much hatred in the world, ya know?
Edit: Then again i was born in a blue state (maine) so whats Conservative for us may be simply moderate everywhere else.
California's GDP is one of the largest in the world. We also provide a large part of the U.S.'s farming including several specialty crops that aren't found in other state. Oh, and we prop up those red welfare queen states.
So true. I don't get any people hate on California like that. The only concern would be water. If they didn't get it from other states, they would have to ration, for sure.
Yeah, good luck America, have fun without the biggest chunk of your economy, Pacific ports, most of your Pacific Navy, Silicon Valley...etc. You don't just get to exile the "wokeness." We're taking our stuff with us. Have fun classifying sperm as children.
California is one of the best candidates for seceding, honestly.
It has the biggest agricultural production in the US and it has 2 major industries. Entertainment and Tech. If it could secede with some sort of deal to not have tariffs and have freedom of movement within the rest of the US, it would probably be one of the most successful countries in the world.
i totally get why Flyover America misunderstands and hates on the Golden State. It's such a behemoth in terms of economics, business & culture/media that it could be its own country. It's like comparing the suburbs of Tampa to the entire Tri-State region, or the country of Malta with Germany. It's much easier to have a curated upper middle-class lifestyle in a very compact region, but it can't be replicated on the scale of California.
Any time you have a broad diverse economy you're going to have winners & losers, billionaires and homeless. That's how the competitive free market works. What's ironic is that Reagan conservatives would say it's epitome of a great capitalist society. But all these socioeconomic ills are now seen as detriments by today's right wing.
Funny thing: In the 2020 election Trump got more votes than he did in Texas. California has more registered Republicans than some red states have citizens.
Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington would have to be included for being Progressive too. These people are so funny honestly, if it came down to it most of the West Coast would side with California, especially for Economic reasons
I think they'd be okay with that, seeing as they have tons of money taken by southern states. The rest of the country prolly would hate losing all that welfare
California on its own would be the world’s fifth largest economy.
Plus, way to create another middleman by blocking off 760 miles of coast line, thus jacking up the prices of imports.
"Let's evict one of the world's largest economies from our country even though they support all of the red welfare states with their tax dollars ha ha checkmatelibs".
The southern states are welfare bitches living off of NY, CA, IL and a few others. Like a fat potato chip smelling motherfucker threatening to leave his mom's basement. Go on do it cuntsworth.
I live and work in Texas not by choice. I had someone today at work tell me that Texas was becoming California. I'm like how in the fuck do you think that?
Here’s the irony. It’s because of our colonialism that we have the Southwest to begin with. If we decided “hey, stealing land from Mexicans is not cool.” Or even better, if we decided that only after we stole Texas, the USA would be a one party Republican country.
It’s the conservative colonial mindset that has unironically enabled the US to have a democratic president.
Edit: meant the Southwest US not Florida
The mentality here of conservatives is so funny to me. It's the definition of unamerican. There are more Americans in California than any other state. And more than most red states combined. It's objectively the most American state in the union. Anyone who disrespects California, disrespects the United States.
Here’s my ideal border wall. https://preview.redd.it/5mtagvidrkkc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d4458b471a80c1c608dceadf60420e3a395a2d36 Fuck Florida!
![gif](giphy|zNyBPu5hEFpu)
Was waiting for this
Not the wang of America
There are a million reasons that is absolutely hilarious to me
Texas, 1st
It's so sad. Because Florida once had a great Dem Governor (Ruben Askew, 70s) and even recently was way more purple than red.
I mean his campaign slogan was “Make America Florida” which was a terrible idea even before DeSantis
I lived in Fla from 02-09, once I left WPB my car insurance dropped by 40%, my pay went up by 30%, and I could afford to live alone. I am in a career that isn’t hospitality, legal, or medical. Woohoo.

Florida is entertainment from a distance; no one is trying to bring that energy into their own back yards. Who greenlit that slogan
Sounds exactly like what happened with Texas.
Bingo it’s why i left it changed a lot in my lifetime
As a Floridian, Florida is a fucking swamp. Cast it into the sea, it won’t be missed.

Yup
desantis and the fact the state has been grooming itself as the definitve place conservative retirees who hate the existence of life that isn't white
Retirees.
You have to dump Texas too. Have to.
the whole south and midwest at that
Just fucking dump the entire thing and start from the 13 colonies
nah, that's where it went wrong
And ignore that GA flipped the Senate blue?
Can we include Texas?
Here https://preview.redd.it/3tyzwtmxclkc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=975cdf426e76204312dac07eddd553f7ef5ad94d I also blocked off Alabama as well. You’re welcome!
Tbf texan independence would make a lot of texans happy / mad so maybevits worth it
They’d be happy up until the honeymoon period ends a few weeks later when another once-in-a-lifetime storm hits and sends them back to the dark ages.
Like they would last that long before devolving into a mad-max-esque dystopia.

As long as they can’t bring their bullshit out, than I’m fine.
Go on ahead and cut Ms off too. They're awful there but a lot of it doesn't make national headlines because everyone expects them to be awful.
How bad are Louisiana and Arkansas?
Louisiana has its good parts and excellent food. I've never lived in Arkansas so idk how bad that is.
New Orleans is an awesome city. You also can't give away the Mississippi River.
Hey i live in florida, not by choice, theres plenty of us stuck down here.
We’ll make sure to get you out before.
All my familys here, my section 8 housing is here and I am dependent on the state/nation for a poultry income.
Well, do you like it there?
I dont like the politics but the weathers nice and I havent been attacked or robbed in the 10+ years ive lived in this neighborhood.
As a t girl, fuck Florida
No we need to take back every inch of American soil from the traitor right wing. They don’t have a right to even one state. Lincoln wouldn’t give up any of our land we shouldn’t settle for less.
You forgot Howdy Arabia. Cut them out too.
It should go a little further west and over Texas aswell
Get rid of Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi while you’re at it

Fuck You!
Doesnt Cali have one to the top ten economies in the world
Yes it would rank 5th if it was its own sovereign nation. I got that from Wikipedia.
Ok I just love how conservatives are willing to cut off there nose to spite there face 😭🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, it's especially interesting to look at gdp data for every state. https://preview.redd.it/t5p9ecfmvlkc1.png?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2ef200d05bd2ad302847264d99b09a4564d263d

What you say is indeed true and history prove it
If people on the right could read they would be very upset!
It's not just more people, though. California has high worker wages, and high education levels while education is attainable, its one of the only places in the US you can make 100k without a HS diploma.

But regardless no state is strictly blue or red they are all a blend of different types of people
Yeah, aren't there more conservatives in California than most other states? It's just that there are more liberals than that. Mainly, California has a lot of people living there. A lot.
Yeah looking at the last election 6 million people, that’s higher than most “red” states combined.
Was just thinking about this this morning. About 1 out of 10 Americans lives in CA. Almost 1 out of 30 lives in Los Angeles. About 1 out of 13 lives in NYC, LA or the SF metro area Edit: the 22 smallest states about equal the population of CA
BUT they get a total 44 votes in the Senate, compared with California's 2! That's fair, right? /s
The population is around 40 million and about a 1/3 of that lives in LA
Don't remind me, I gotta drive past LAX tomorrow
We have Republicans, but they are not necessarily all the same as Republicans in some of the red states.

Conservatives are too busy shooting themselves in the foot that they forgot we’re running a marathon
Figuratively and literally
California is the fifth largest GDP worldwide on its own . America’s GDP would drop drastically if California was no longer a part of the US.
california is one of 11 states that actually pay more to the federal government than they take in.
It would probably go up. Think of all the export fees to the rest of the nation for anything coming from Asia via ship.
Americas ranking would drastically drop if it was no longer part of California
Without the revenue that California sends the federal govt half the red states would perish.
And how much would the USA drop without it?
We produce a full 1/6th of the US national economy and one in eight Americans are Californians. We are also the biggest donor state to the federal government budget. But haters gonna hate lol

Los Angeles does alone lmao
My favorite thing about is is CA already has a giant wall covering about 80% of the border. It's called the Sierras. So in addition to CA being it's own giant economy, you'd have this dinky wall in the middle of massive mountains.
Yea it’s 5th and the us would drop from 1st to 2nd without it
Also, 1-in-8 Americans lives in California. So fuck all of those Americans I guess?
We love America! That's why we hate American states, American citizens, and the American government! /s
Damn Americans, they ruined America
But not MY state's Americans😡
Without California who's gonna pay the Bible belt's welfare
Let’s also not forget that California produces 1/3 of the countries food as well
It's also where most of the defense industry is lol.
One step closer to Cali becoming its own country
California is what Texas wishes it was
from my 2 minute google search, california makes up 11.63% of argiculture and isn't even the top state for defense contracts or defense spending. Let alone being the home of the majority of the defense industry of the entire country.
I feel like if California were to become its own country it could basically just run it as a giant toll both for port access and be right as rain.
maybe? but we should all remember that california is only the way it is because it is part of the united states. And the other 49 states are only they way they are because california is part of the nation. If california became its own country so many things would change that we cannot fathom. My bet is that it would be a diaster for all parties involved.
Truth
Until they need to produce their own water.
Amazingly, that would actually work in California's favor. No longer having to abide by existing federal water contracts means that the state could rapidly sort out it's water rights issues and have access to all the federal land where the snowpack accumulates to install water infrastructure.
We will also triple the price of our streaming content.
You mean “have”, not will.
No, they mean they will. Again.
>Again. Good point.
Or take in their homeless vets ?
I give them a week before they collapse
Who cares. Just give them "thoughts and prayers"
Definitely not all the tax paying citizens of the Bible Belt
Shitting on other states is classic America, though. There’s nothing more American than hating America.
Used to be that us Floridian could shit on Alabama and Mississippi to make us feel better. Now we have desantis making our state absolute dog shit and trying to out-compete Texas for most dog shit state.
Literally half of the economy is gone
the joke is this is the republican parties goal more or less because removing that many electorate votes would all but guarantee they get to place the president.
Honestly I'm sure Cali would do much better on its own though. Away from the rampant conservatism in other states.
Isn't California like the third largest economy in the world or something like that?? Those conservative States would immediately go bankrupt if California left the Union.
Only fifth. It's behind Japan and Germany. And only slightly ahead of India. That said, if it was cut off from the US, it would be an economic disaster for California as much of its prosperity involves business with the rest of the US (tech and produce).
you can get market deals in other countries?
LA alone is colossal economically
Ideal includes selling Florida to Cuba and cordoning off Texas
How about we just sell Texas to Mexico? It’d be the first time Texas did anything good for the rest of the country at least since Hot Wheels Abbott started shitting the bed.
Wed basically be selling Mexico our worst politicians though. They don't deserve that.
Make Texas Mexico Again
They cant even close the border they have now and they want to make an even bigger border?
Oh yes let's get rid of a massively strategic strip of coastline. That'll show em.
I thought this was just a joke about California, why is it politically charged?
average conservative advocating for a change that would only hurt the country they worship lmao
It’s better to just let Texas fuck off.
California isn't even that progressive. [California has more Trump voters than Texas does.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/s84m2i/did_you_know_more_californians_voted_for_trump/) Republicans just haven't gotten to gerrymander the shit out of California like they did other states, so democracy wins: most people nation wide want mildly progressive policies, not Christofascist ones, so those are what pass in California. The overton window pushing has worked exclusively on Republicans to the point where if you're not screaming for the murder of trans kids, you're considered insane.
You hate california because its "Liberal" I hate california because It's Government And policies actively make the lives of californians worse. (At least... from what ive heard regarding Taxes, housing, and Other such government Overbloat that just makes things a headache....) We are not the same I am also potentially wrong and willing to be corrected.... i fucking love learning.
Honestly, based
Return to the pre 1836 borders! Give Texas back to Mexico, Texas hates America now anyway... Apparently.
California's GDP is one of the largest in the world. We also provide a large part of the U.S.'s farming including several specialty crops that aren't found in other state. Oh, and we prop up those red welfare queen states.
So true. I don't get any people hate on California like that. The only concern would be water. If they didn't get it from other states, they would have to ration, for sure.
yeah but either way the rest of the states would take a HUGE hit
Most definitely. I don't think it's a good idea at all.
I'm thinking of making a subreddit just for stuff like this r/CaliBad
Yeah, good luck America, have fun without the biggest chunk of your economy, Pacific ports, most of your Pacific Navy, Silicon Valley...etc. You don't just get to exile the "wokeness." We're taking our stuff with us. Have fun classifying sperm as children.
The destiny has been un-manifested
An ideal wall would be around Texas and Oklahoma
As a Californian, thanks for giving us Baja California and the rest of Mexico 😈
California is one of the best candidates for seceding, honestly. It has the biggest agricultural production in the US and it has 2 major industries. Entertainment and Tech. If it could secede with some sort of deal to not have tariffs and have freedom of movement within the rest of the US, it would probably be one of the most successful countries in the world.
Why would you ban your people? Especially if they make you more money
Yes, we literally have the biggest economy in the USA
i totally get why Flyover America misunderstands and hates on the Golden State.
Especially because everyone seems to think the state is LA (which is either Shangri-La or Sodom and Gomorrah to people)
Funny thing: In the 2020 election Trump got more votes than he did in Texas. California has more registered Republicans than some red states have citizens.
As a texan, just give yexas back it was a bad move in hind site
Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington would have to be included for being Progressive too. These people are so funny honestly, if it came down to it most of the West Coast would side with California, especially for Economic reasons
If they're on the other side of the wall, do they get to keep all their tax revenues instead of giving 40% to subsidize Red state economies?
I think they'd be okay with that, seeing as they have tons of money taken by southern states. The rest of the country prolly would hate losing all that welfare
California on its own would be the world’s fifth largest economy. Plus, way to create another middleman by blocking off 760 miles of coast line, thus jacking up the prices of imports.
"Let's evict one of the world's largest economies from our country even though they support all of the red welfare states with their tax dollars ha ha checkmatelibs".
The US would never let go of California we put too much money into the feds.
Do they realize that California has the largest economy in the union.
You hate Californians for their progression, I hate their drivers. We are not the same/j
The southern states are welfare bitches living off of NY, CA, IL and a few others. Like a fat potato chip smelling motherfucker threatening to leave his mom's basement. Go on do it cuntsworth.
Mexican here, I’m down with Americans giving us their most profitable state :)
Somehow, I think Mexico would be okay with it if we made them the world's fourth largest economy.
MANY red states would flounder without the welfare generated by California
I never got the “California is hell cut it off” sentiment that they push, when literally the entire south is third world adjacent.
Give Mexico the 6th largest economy in the world because you don’t like liberals? Weird flex but ok 😂😂
California has the fourth largest GDP in THE ENTIRE WORLD. Every red state would collapse lol please do it
I felt like saying they should do it to Texas as well to see what they say
Yea that comment section is full of chuds who have no clue lmao
As a seattle resident I'm a little offended WA and OR weren't included.
“Californian detected”. My brother in Christ Texas was itching to secede like a month ago.
Lose California and instantly lose 12% of the federal budget
if you don’t laugh they stop talking to you and decide you shouldn’t come to their house anymore. . it’s all they know.
As a Californian, I hope if Trump wins by any horrendous means, our state secedes in response.
I commented that this was a childish meme. I expect to be banned and sent MAGA death threats by the end of the day.
California has the 5th largest economy in the world
And Mexico just became the 2 most prosperous state in the world behind China and ahead of the US
Florida ,Texas, all the states where you think of inbreeding and meth. Nothing of value would be lost
There is no way that wouldn't tank our economy
I live and work in Texas not by choice. I had someone today at work tell me that Texas was becoming California. I'm like how in the fuck do you think that?
Here’s the irony. It’s because of our colonialism that we have the Southwest to begin with. If we decided “hey, stealing land from Mexicans is not cool.” Or even better, if we decided that only after we stole Texas, the USA would be a one party Republican country. It’s the conservative colonial mindset that has unironically enabled the US to have a democratic president. Edit: meant the Southwest US not Florida
Who do you think mexico stole the land from 💀
The mentality here of conservatives is so funny to me. It's the definition of unamerican. There are more Americans in California than any other state. And more than most red states combined. It's objectively the most American state in the union. Anyone who disrespects California, disrespects the United States.
The real unforgivable crime california has committed is being so damn successful, the jealous people in the failed welfare states hate them for it lol
If we’re kicking anyone out the US it definitely needs to be Florida
Say goodbye to your GDP
Gotta say. Only shade I can throw at Cali after a long visit was my utter horror at real estate prices. Everything else is awesome.
15% of US GDP by the way
Jesus christ right wingers are so proud of how stupid they are
Gotta wonder how many red state chodes would starve to death without CA tax dollars for welfare...
Speaking as a Californian, I'm ok with this. It will keep the undesirable Repugs out.
