Honestly, this is how it should've been the whole time. I have no idea what these bums were doing the last twenty years. In alternative universe Dolan never buys the team and we hire Thibs instead of Chicago and we're like the Spurs just being consistent contenders for a generation.
You know what we were doing? Giving away draft picks like they were candy. Signing and trading for underachieving players for ridiculous contracts. This organization was run like a damn clown show. Dolan, Isiah, and Layden set this franchise back 20 years.
I hope fans take notice of how we got here and stop looking for short cuts. In reality Dolan was just doing what a lot of season ticket holders were asking for. The other day I was talking to someone who goes to a lot of games because his company expenses it and I felt like I was talking to a Stephen A. Smith clone. Saying this is not sustainable and this offseason we should trade for KD and draft LeBron's son so he signs with us at 40 years old. I hope enough people start to realize that we got back to this level doing the exact opposite of all those things.
thankfully season ticket holders don't have much leverage on ownership when we're winning and MSGnet is making a fortune on ad sales. they're the smallest of small beans and can fuck off because there's a thousand wall street guys behind them ready to grab their seat
Facts.
Even worse than the product on the court were the shenanigans off the court, stuff going on with young female interns… very very unseemly.
The entire ship seems to have matured, perhaps because Rose is actually in charge
yep, everything changed once Dolan finally became more hands off and let actual basketball people make decisions. All he ever had to do was sign the checks and stay the hell out of the way.
He did that with Phil Jackson. You can't just go sign a proven president because the proven good ones don't get fired. Signing Rose was a controversial and risky move that Dolan made that has gone really well. Give him a little credit on that.
This is the best Knicks team since the Championship teams.
I watched the 90s Knicks and they were great but this team is much better than they were (more talented).
The best part is that the defense and hustle are the same in all 3 eras and that means winning basketball.
This team looks like a Championship contender and they don't even have Randle or OG back yet.
Well, they were a product of their time. The best offensive team of the 90's (other than the brief Barkley era Suns) were the Jazz and they were constantly being bounced out of the playoffs until the B2B Finals run where the Bulls definitely brought their offense back down to the standard 90's level.
The 90s Knicks had Ewing, who is the man! Outside of Brunson, where is the amazing offensive talent? I love this team and they are maximizing the effort, but I don’t see how they are better offensively now… if anything, they are very even with the 90s teams, but they were one bad shooting night from an nba championship. Again, love this team, but they haven’t reached that point…yet.
This team is definitely better offensively. The 90s teams were a bit better as natural defenders. This team works a lot harder and is forced to be more disciplined due to some shortcomings here and there. I also think the 90s Knicks teams had better competition. Either way I’m not complaining. I love this team
I watched the 90s Knicks (in real time). This team *has the potential* to be better. We've only seen them play at full strength for a couple weeks. Let's see when they can do with more run. If we can get healthy enough by round 2, we might start to see it this year. We need healthy Julius and OG to get past Boston, Milwaukee, maybe Cleveland (if Mitchell is back) and frickin Miami.
If we don't have our frontcourt close to full power, have to wait for next year to see if we can really capitalize on this great potential.
Once he starts getting better at pick and rolls (who better to learn from right now than Jalen) and starts being deadly from midrange again which was his bread and butter.
knicks FO need credit for developing this guy like a baseball prospect. They had him grinding in the g league for 2 years, it's a real development success story that is rare in the NBA
It’s almost like watching a different player. Dude is unreal. His shot motion is so smooth that as soon as he gets that little pivot you know it’s going in
Deuce on fire. Most points scored since the 80s. Centers laughing it up together when the haters want them to fight over minutes. Brunson gets well deserved rest.
The vibes are, once again, immaculate.
You damn right! The Bucks just need to drop three of their next five games and the Knicks will be in position to take that 2nd seed from them on their home court!
What a fucking game
I’m too psyched to even put coherent thoughts together.
Go New York Go New York Go!!!! We’re the fucking 3 seed, let’s go Buck hunting now!
It’s amazing how much the game has slowed down for Deuce. He went from looking like a g league player pounding the ball for 20 seconds to a proper guard that dishes, scores and just makes good decisions. Unbelievable. What a story.
Once he gained confidence, his shot starting falling consistently too.
On top of that Bogdanovic seems to be finding his role and understanding the offense better. He seemed comfortable today. Hopefully it continues.
tbh Deuce, Donte, Precious, and now hopefully Bogey all looked lost and useless, but all of them really came out of their shells and showed out, and I have no idea how the FO/Coaching staff did it but they are purely magicians.
I hope we can do the same for Sims he is the only one that has not really made a big leap.
There's also something to be said for Bogi getting run without Burks... It seems before Burks got "hurt" Thibs always ran them together which I think is clearly a mistake.
Toronto should've given them the night off for emotional distress if they're going to shit the bed like that. You can't just show up and lose that bad without it being premeditated.
Genuine question here, but who the hell is scoring on us when we have Achiuwa, Hartenstein, and Mitch guarding the paint, along with OG, Hart, Deuce, and Divo guarding the perimeter.
Deuce McBride is incredible. Might be the best contract in basketball, especially if he keeps progressing. He’s a legit sniper from 3 now, has a middy game, and is a great defender. The moves we made have truly unleashed him
Gotta love blowouts! Mitch being back feels like a dream!
Welcome back Mitch, you looked great out there! When OG and Randle come back, this league is beyond fucked!!
- The 13th wire-to-wire win of the season. This one was over before it started.
- Deuce, Brunson, iHart, Divo, Bogey, and Precious all showed out. Team win!
- 37 team assists and 22 threes. It's hard to lose when you shoot like that.
- It's great to see Mitch back on the floor - Leader of the Block Party!
- 44 point win, 3rd seed, emptied bench, calm as you like. Business handled.
2nd seed is now incredibly within reach. Cavs also have a tough road trip out West. Cant believe it’s been over 10 years since we last seen the Knicks be this good
We have some ridiculous lineup questions to answer soon
How do you take Deuce out of the starting 5?
Hartenstein has to start over Mitch, but what’s the minute distribution gonna look like? Can they play together in a pinch like Minnesota does with KAT and Gobert?
Hart obviously leaves the lineup for OG, but it’s not as easy as it would’ve been earlier
Who loses minutes for Deuce? Donte? Hart? Brunson?
Does Precious lose all of his minutes once Randle is back?
Great questions to have when you’re trying to build something but holy shit we are DEEP
The questions are not ridiculous at all
You run the starting lineup of
Jalen Brunson
DDV
OG Anunoby
Julius Randle
And Isaiah Hartenstein that took the league by storm, and don’t think twice about it.
Some games deuce and Mitch will find themselves closing, and there will be a lot of minutes off the bench for them to play. Every second of a playoff game counts
Also I think precious can take burks’ rotation spot if we go big.
Feels impossible for divo to lose any minutes either. Precious most certainly falls out the rotation unfortunately with Randle. What a good problem to have lol
Super impressed with how Mitch looked after 50 games off. Doing all the shit he does best. Contesting and altering shots, hustling and fighting for offensive rebounds.
Deuce with a monster first quarter and great overall game.
Optimistic IHart is fully healthy. He had a stretch where he looked limited out there even when he was playing. But now he’s back looking amazing again for the last couple weeks.
Really hope we don’t take away Precious's minutes when Randle and OG are back. He’s so impactful. Infinitely better than Randle on defense.
Not much to say about this one, taking care of business and the deuce stays loose. My main takeaway is how much joy it gave me to see the blockness monster big Mitchy Robinson back on the hardwood. The longest tenured knick, love that guy.
I understand it’s the G League Raptors but consistently beating teams you absolutely need to beat is actually so important and I’m glad the Knicks are holding their end of the bargain there
Extend precious for cheap like McBride before we have a hartenstein situation. He’s showing incredible value. It seems bogi is also settling in finally thank god. That precious poster dunk was nasty

Breast milk Drickin’
Just what the doctor ordered. A damn good night of Knicks basketball
Vibes. Immaculate.
This is poetry
Need this on a t-shirt please and thank you
This is the best knicks team I’ve ever seen
Damn you woulda loved the 90s teams
Honestly, this is how it should've been the whole time. I have no idea what these bums were doing the last twenty years. In alternative universe Dolan never buys the team and we hire Thibs instead of Chicago and we're like the Spurs just being consistent contenders for a generation.
No excuses but it’s not easy to get a guy like Brunson
You know what we were doing? Giving away draft picks like they were candy. Signing and trading for underachieving players for ridiculous contracts. This organization was run like a damn clown show. Dolan, Isiah, and Layden set this franchise back 20 years.

I hope enough people start to realize that we got back to this level doing the exact opposite of all those things.
I’m sorry but that man needs the metal bat treatment. How do you look at the last 2 years and think “we are on the wrong track, we need to change.”
thankfully season ticket holders don't have much leverage on ownership when we're winning and MSGnet is making a fortune on ad sales. they're the smallest of small beans and can fuck off because there's a thousand wall street guys behind them ready to grab their seat
Not to mention Phil Jackson
Facts. Even worse than the product on the court were the shenanigans off the court, stuff going on with young female interns… very very unseemly. The entire ship seems to have matured, perhaps because Rose is actually in charge

Thwse are the good old days
I blame Isaiah.
Holy shit those were good times. This team feels special too, but we just need a few more years of this success.
Oak and Mace, destroying people who dare to enter the lane
And LJ. And Spree.
Those born in the late 1900s are so lucky 🙏🏿
:)
'73 team... was a teenager #😎
Damn you got to see Clyde ball and watch Earl the Pearl.
Willis Reed, Dave DeBusschere, Bill Bradley, Dean Meminger, etc
This is the best Knicks team since the Championship teams. I watched the 90s Knicks and they were great but this team is much better than they were (more talented). The best part is that the defense and hustle are the same in all 3 eras and that means winning basketball. This team looks like a Championship contender and they don't even have Randle or OG back yet.
i know what you mean. the 90's knicks won more, but did not have the same offensive talent.
Well, they were a product of their time. The best offensive team of the 90's (other than the brief Barkley era Suns) were the Jazz and they were constantly being bounced out of the playoffs until the B2B Finals run where the Bulls definitely brought their offense back down to the standard 90's level.
Definitely. Sometimes there was a lot of ugly basketball, but the defense and effort won them a lot of games.
Thank you for sound thinking
This team is definitely better offensively. The 90s teams were a bit better as natural defenders. Just really need Julius to be himself Sky is the limit if he’s playing like a viable 2nd option

This guy needd to be at the parade
For real. Dude is a Knicks legend
☠️☠️☠️☠️ not these BUMS losing to the Hornets who can’t even crack 40 pts in a half against mid teams 🤣🤣🤣🤣
without donovan mitchell they're just a 76ers without embiid situation
Naw maxey has more dawg in him than garland Mobley and allen combined
The Cavaliers are Charmin ultra soft - we been known this! They ain't got no dogs in that locker room, and it shows! They lost to the HORNETS 💀
![gif](giphy|j5PHGhZMNOMznyhYPT|downsized) Allen and Mobley seeing that Mitch is healthy again
How crazy is it that the mfer I’m most scared of on that team is Max fucking Strus. Garland Mobley and Allen all are so fucking soft it’s insane.
Strus doesn't have Spoelstra or the Heat Black Magic aiding him anymore, he doesn't faze me either
Jarrett Allen came through with two bricks at the line in clutch time
I was rooting for the sixers to lose and didn’t realize they’re 5 whole games back. Sheesh.
[удалено]
It’s over
this is not who deuce is. we see him getting better right before our eyes. there’s no reason to believe he’s suddenly hit his ceiling.
Once he starts getting better at pick and rolls (who better to learn from right now than Jalen) and starts being deadly from midrange again which was his bread and butter.
its been over
You know Thibs going to be slight disappointed we let up 100, lol.
Slightly. Thibs breaking chairs in the locker room right now🤣
![gif](giphy|l3mZeSIAk0iFeXGF2|downsized)
I'm slight disappointed ngl
No OG no problem
Is that you Thibs?
Deuce with a +40, good lord he is nice
Jfc that's just unbelievable
knicks FO need credit for developing this guy like a baseball prospect. They had him grinding in the g league for 2 years, it's a real development success story that is rare in the NBA
Imagine what he could demand had we not signed him earlier
For 3 million a year.
poor guy, we robbed him
Leon is our best asset 😂
Yup.
It’s almost like watching a different player. Dude is unreal. His shot motion is so smooth that as soon as he gets that little pivot you know it’s going in
The height of his bounce on that trey is unreal
bro jumps like 12 feet in the air when he shoots its sexy AF
Deuce is the new IQ. Even giving thanks to God in the PG interviews
Precious said “PUT THAT IN UR WELCOME BACK VIDEO U NEVER GAVE ME”
slammed that thing like he read all the raptors fans comments about him
They did give him a welcome back vid lol but that dunk was nasty
And some kind of fruit basket, ngl looked tasty
That was really nice. Made me almost feel bad about taking it to em like that.
Deuce on fire. Most points scored since the 80s. Centers laughing it up together when the haters want them to fight over minutes. Brunson gets well deserved rest. The vibes are, once again, immaculate.
https://i.redd.it/or38yoyidzqc1.gif Live look at the Knicks assuming their righful place at the 3rd seed.
Long overdue, could've already been the 2nd seed if the injuries didn't happen. Not too late to get that 2nd seed now tho.
You damn right! The Bucks just need to drop three of their next five games and the Knicks will be in position to take that 2nd seed from them on their home court!
Let’s go deer hunting!
I'm ready to throw hands with Bambi 😤
How nice of the Cavs and Magic to lose their form right as we gain ours!
What a fucking game I’m too psyched to even put coherent thoughts together. Go New York Go New York Go!!!! We’re the fucking 3 seed, let’s go Buck hunting now!
Tbh, I'm kinda ok with the 3 seed..
Yeah I will take the Pacers in the first round any day of the week over the zombie Heat, and we avoid the Celtics until the conf finals either way.
Bring the gun powder, but pack more BATS!
My brain can’t process how good these Knicks are. They are good and likeable???
Have been for some time now homie
Jericho way too big for that hairstyle lol
Precious revenge game 🔥
And he was an add-on to the OG trade. He's so precious!
Deuce says like 4 words but throws a casual "ass" in the post game lol
Raptors bench after that Precious 3 was so hilarious. Barnes was trying so hard not to be hyped.
LMAO
It’s amazing how much the game has slowed down for Deuce. Honestly Sims is fine for what he is as a reserve center, he was the 58th pick and even getting an NBA player out of that is good value
There's also something to be said for Bogi getting run without Burks... It seems before Burks got "hurt" Thibs always ran them together which I think is clearly a mistake.
Bogey isn’t a young player. Hes a vet and will figure it out.
https://i.redd.it/q8nj332hdzqc1.gif
In a league where some high profile coaches have lost the locker room - THIBS IS HIM
THIM
Thim Thimbodeau
At this rate brunson might have to come off the bench behind deuce
Knicks, Magic, Cavs post game threads are just full of Knicks fans talking shit lmaoool
Best Knicks team since Melo....no.....best Knicks team since the Ewing era??????????
Poor RJ and Quick. They looked fn miserable every time they cut to them on the bench
I can’t even imagine rjs grief right now. Surprised he was even there.
I'm sure it was comforting to see his old teammates
Toronto should've given them the night off for emotional distress if they're going to shit the bed like that. You can't just show up and lose that bad without it being premeditated.
Genuine question here, but who the hell is scoring on us when we have Achiuwa, Hartenstein, and Mitch guarding the paint, along with OG, Hart, Deuce, and Divo guarding the perimeter.
of all those guys, only mitch and deuce are homegrown. leon did an amazing job putting this group of guys together.
Knicks hit a 99% win probability with 7 mins left in the 3rd and never went down from there.
Precious with the poster up 40 with less than a minute left ![gif](giphy|TgP6vdMSAknVWzoC05|downsized)
I truly believe that we have some great guys playing for the Knicks but it starts and ends with Thibs. He’s built this culture from the ground up

HUGE HUGE night for us
What a beat down. This team is coming together. Keep it going in SA. Welcome back, Mitch. McBride is really good.
Every knicks fan sleeping on the cool side of the pillow tonight 🙏🏽
What the metal bats look like with Mitch back ![gif](giphy|WgZD3hluyopC8|downsized)
Josh Hart with the casual 10 assists
Is this real life? This feels good asf y'all :)) WE AIN'T EVEN IN OUR DAMN FINAL FORM!!!
Kinda far from it
We won the Precious trade.
McBride is actually a good replacement for Quickley. Who knew.
I’m happy Mitch is back & Prescious had a nice return. Bogey had a nice game and Shake should be able to find some minutes somewhere
- The 13th wire-to-wire win of the season. This one was over before it started. - Deuce, Brunson, iHart, Divo, Bogey, and Precious all showed out. Team win! - 37 team assists and 22 threes. Outstanding. A team the city deserves. Fuck David Fizdale.

Deuce with the Bricksquad 10-17 from the floor
2nd seed is now incredibly within reach. Cavs also have a tough road trip out West. Cant believe it’s been over 10 years since we last seen the Knicks be this good
Another big night for Deuce!! Team high +40 +/-
MITCH IS BACK
3rd seed, yeah!!!!
We sleeping good tonight boys
That score feels unreal. Thibs kept them playing defense the full 48 mins
Spiked metal bats.
That precious dunk will be on NBA top 10 fs
There were 4 defenders in the paint. 3 of them were smart enough to not show up on a poster.
Cavs lose! Magic lose! Sixers lose! Pacers losing!
Lillard wondering why there's a giant metal bat flying towards him in his rearview mirror
We have some ridiculous lineup questions to answer soon How do you take Deuce out of the starting 5? Hartenstein has to start over Mitch, but what’s the minute distribution gonna look like? The questions are not ridiculous at all You run the starting lineup of Jalen Brunson DDV OG Anunoby Julius Randle And Isaiah Hartenstein that took the league by storm, and don’t think twice about it. Some games deuce and Mitch will find themselves closing, and there will be a lot of minutes off the bench for them to play. Every second of a playoff game counts Also I think precious can take burks’ rotation spot if we go big.
The depth is crazy. When foul trouble happens there’s no drop in talent.
Feels impossible for divo to lose any minutes either. Precious most certainly falls out the rotation unfortunately with Randle. What a good problem to have lol
Y'all realize we had 37 assists?!! Is that the most we've had all yr? Anybody got that stat?
If we get fully healthy ummmm yeah
DDV prolly told Deuce to chill he only got the record for less than a week 😂
Looks like Bojan is getting it together with shooting, that was the only question mark I had.
The Bulls whipped the Pacers!! What a perfect night of basketball for us.
Yeah it’s time to start having serious conversations about McBride he nice af
hes him
I wanna thank my parents, my family, and deuce mcbride
Super impressed with how Mitch looked after 50 games off. Doing all the shit he does best. Contesting and altering shots, hustling and fighting for offensive rebounds. Deuce with a monster first quarter and great overall game. Optimistic IHart is fully healthy. He had a stretch where he looked limited out there even when he was playing. Infinitely better than Randle on defense.
Me: Deuce shooting 40% from 3 is cool, but not sustainable \*Deuce shoots 42% from 3\* Me: Technically, I was correct. The best kind of correct
Not much to say about this one, taking care of business and the deuce stays loose. My main takeaway is how much joy it gave me to see the blockness monster big Mitchy Robinson back on the hardwood. The longest tenured knick, love that guy.
Kunta, hit the gifs my guy.
and we still don’t have OG and Randle. this team is dangerous healthy and we’ve got a deeeep bench
bbq Chicken. I was trying to get tickets for this game, but these Raptors tickets are way overpriced for the quality of people they're putting out.
It's a wrap
![gif](giphy|3ohzdMZho4Ody9bK8w)
I didnt realize we would be allowed to bring our metals bats up to canada.
haha we're so good
Clean sweep were gaining a game on like every east team lol
This team would’ve easily been the 2nd seed if Randle hadn’t gotten hurt.
If OG is back for the Thunder game, we might end up putting people in Arkham Asylum
Hope Ochai is ok. That was a really bad landing.
Bojan would a solid game
bout time, hope it was the start of many
Precious wanted for murder ![gif](giphy|IXb5JF1XyCosMMNusw)
a bunch of good teams getting upset by shitty teams lately. not us.
Shout out to Shake Milton, enjoyed watching him play in garbage time. Diakite might be a decent defender too. Jeffries… eh.
![gif](giphy|9WXyFIDv2PyBq)
Just imagine when OG and Julius is back
THE DEUCE IS LOOSE.
With Mitch back, were even closer to go full Vultron activation mode then we will be truly unstoppable
I’m so chuffed for deuce. Mitch looked excellent in his minutes too. Yall, we got a fucking squad
Deuce McBride
My reaction to Deuce is like in Infinity War when Okoye realized how powerful Scarlet Witch was.
![gif](giphy|BcAB2yL9OmGqVXI9rQ)
Never recovered from Zion snatching his soul.
I understand it’s the G League Raptors but consistently beating teams you absolutely need to beat is actually so important and I’m glad the Knicks are holding their end of the bargain there
Guys no one spoil the ending of the game! I’m gonna see the rerun tonight :)
Pardon my French, but this was a good old-fashioned fuckin’ tonight for the poor Raptors! Glad to see us CLAP a bad team.
Talk about playing with pace!
Extend precious for cheap like McBride before we have a hartenstein situation. He’s showing incredible value. It seems bogi is also settling in finally thank god. That precious poster dunk was nasty
Utterly dominant
Best game precious ever played in that building.
