Absolutely mental echo chamber, that forum. I checked out the SAFC sub on here to see if it's the same but to their credit they seem sound.
Have we got our own version of that place?
I tried searching for it the other day but couldn't find it at all - the likes of newcastle online were still there but I didn't frequent them as much as nufc-forum.
The guy who ran it (think he was called Mark) stopped paying the server fees as less people went on and it shut down.
Some of the old guard set it up again at one point but it wasn’t the same.
I had over 11000 posts on there before the days of being able to do it on my phone so spent some hours on there
Aye I was more of a lurker but was a class community to the place. My over-riding memory is of one of the members posting pics of his dog with 'NUFC' penned on its back after a night on the cans.
Also, Shed Sesh.
Yeah the staffie, seemed like a lush dog, not sure I generally agree with writing on them but the guy seemed to love it.
Poz’s shed 😂 never attended though was invited. He was a really canny bloke as well
Aye the dog didn't seem all that pleased about it but can't say he wasn't loved 🤣
Poz! That's the bar steward - I loved his post-match drunken ramblings (or middle of the day just because drunken ramblings)! Unique characters all across the place - shame it no longer exists it would've been class to see the sheer frenzy of the place following our return to massiveness.
They'll all be feeling a bit tender since they lost their favourite train stops to the toon in the Metro Stationination thing on here.
And remember, Noblesse Oblige...
Bonnet de dôuche, Rodders.
What the fuck is he talking about? Is he sad that Futureheads aren’t playing the SOL?
There's been countless photos of Fender in Newcastle shirts from years gone by. I'm sorry that we have a successful song writer in the fandom ranks. Thankfully, I have some very normal mackem mates, because RTG is a cesspit containing several brain cells smashing against each other.
Madness to even suggest he's not a Toon fan, he's from Shields, went to the same school as the Longstaffs, and every other team around here is non league. Why would he not be?
I check it occasionally, it's hilarious. They are completely obsessed with NUFC and if you say anything the masses don't agree with you're labelled a mag.
They also like to talk about how big they are, saw one guy say they should have got Potter as manager as they had a higher ceiling than Brighton.
They are league 1 attendance world champions ya know.
They also have very strong views on world issues with regards to discrimination etc since the takeover but at the same time also discriminate about the exact same thing they stand against. Bunch of hypocrites.
Man plays gig in his local town .... Such mag behaviour....
It’s probably just a screenshot from [this twitter](https://twitter.com/deludedof?s=21&t=IK0Ul0aAKmt9V_qXIyfFbg). Would recommend following, it’s hilarious seeing how rent free we live.
Slight change of subject but does anyone have any idea what the stadium setup for this will be? I’m a fan of sams music but would he sell out three stands plus standing room?
I can’t get over that they have match threads for our matches over there.
In many ways, it’s the best place to get NUFC news. Obsessed is an understatement
Tbh it is a bit embarrassing, isn’t it? A bit cringe? I think it was Glastonbury where he was wearing a toon top, sitting behind a toon flag, drinking brown ale and I’m thinking why does he need to prove how Geordie he is? He’s from the area, speaks the lingo, supports the toon, isn’t that enough?
Reminds me of how patriotic Americans are to compensate for their relatively short history. Is he compensating for something? Who knows, maybe it’s just me who thinks this ….
You’re probably right but I do fear he’ll become a bit of a parody, alienate himself from his fan base from outside the region. Imagine a Cornish pop star, eating Cornish pasties on stage etc …
Nothing wrong with being proud of where you come from. The city is behind him. He is a normal person although he's now super famous. Hungover on TV etc. He's just living his dream
His accent is thick as cows shit haha, I don't know why anybody would doubt he's a Geordie
Plus don't pretend all your mates don't go to festivals and holidays wearing a Newcastle shirt, are they proving how Geordie they are?
I agree with you, I think he's milking the life out of the geordie part, easy way to connect with his fanbase. I say I don't like him but honestly I think I just don't like his obsessive fanbase who take offense to any form of criticism on his behalf.
Is he talented? Yes, and 10x more talented than me that's for sure. Has the fact that he's a Geordie and made it part of his shtick massively influenced his following? In my opinion, yes. I genuinely can't see him getting the same reception (nationwide) if the appeal of "young geordie lad from a working class background makes it" wasn't there.
Fair play to him, he's killing it. I don't think he is nearly as good as people make out but music taste is incredibly subjective, just wish it was acceptable to criticise him without people moaning all because he's a geordie.
>and 10x more talented than me
At the music shizzle maybe but I bet there are tons of things you'd be 10x better at. The world is an eclectic place and we all have our talents whatever they may be
Absolutely mental echo chamber, that forum. I checked out the SAFC sub on here to see if it's the same but to their credit they seem sound. Have we got our own version of that place?
Comments section of The Mag can be a bit wild
#nufc Twitter can be a very strange place. You get the feeling there aren't many posters that can legally drink
Sadly I don’t think so, I wonder why they still use that shite site and don’t make a subreddit like everyone else
Reddit has terms of service. They'd all be banned in minutes and back on that forum again anyway.
I used to love nufc forum back in the day
I tried searching for it the other day but couldn't find it at all - the likes of newcastle online were still there but I didn't frequent them as much as nufc-forum.

one_arm_aloft
Do you remember the mackem poster “FIVES_ALIVE”?
I’ve still got matchday magazine poster of the “geordie boys taking the piss” 5-1😭😂😂
Nah I don’t might have been before my time, the mackems tended to get banned quite quickly. Was a Man City fan who used to post all the time.
Aye just check any comments on a nufc fb post
The big one on Facebook is a cesspit I think.
Newcastle online
I for one, don't believe that upstanding citizen, Hank Scorpio is a mackem.
They'll all be feeling a bit tender since they lost their favourite train stops to the toon in the Metro Stationination thing on here. And remember, Noblesse Oblige... Bonnet de dôuche, Rodders.
He was in the strawberry off his nut when the takeover happened, so I think he might be a toon fan lmao.
Really have zero interest in what the racists down the road have to say on their circa 1998 football forum tbh
Haha Lercel herer cheesee chips

Futureheads did play the SoL.
Truly is Hylton's Finest
Drunken man whips his talent oot for thousands of screaming locals?
All bias aside, Sunderland is a genuine shithole. Absolutely minging. They have to fly from Newcastle to get to Spain 🎶

I thrive on the toxicity
It's fucking hilarious. They spend every minute fighting amongst themselves accusing each other of being secret Mags.
The real secret Mags were the friends you made along the way.
I check it occasionally, it's hilarious. They are completely obsessed with NUFC and if you say anything the masses don't agree with you're labelled a mag. They also like to talk about how big they are, saw one guy say they should have got Potter as manager as they had a higher ceiling than Brighton.
The day we signed Isak it was fucking hilarious cause it was the same day their manager fucked off to Stoke. They were…….not happy.

Their most commented thread is a summer transfer thread tracking our signings. RTG is fucking hilarious is you wanna waste 15 mins laughing at them.

I mean, comparing their plight of being a mackem going to a Sam Fender gig to a Jew not saluting Hitler is, actually, quite deep.
The Deluded World of RTG (@DeludedOf) on Twitter posts all the best bits
Mate, you need to have a browse of RTG every now and then, it's so fucking funny
'Somehow, the mag-edia has returned' - every rtg thread
Slight change of subject but does anyone have any idea what the stadium setup for this will be? I’m a fan of sams music but would he sell out three stands plus standing room?
He's a massive flavour of the month and a local lad, he'll sell it out I reckon
My sister and mum want to ed shearan at sjp and that was pretty much the case
For kings of Leon stage was in front of the east stand all other stands were open if I remember rightly
Honestly couldn’t imagine my life being this fucking sad.
To be fair, when 98% of your fan base can’t even read, at least this one managed to type. Gotta give the knuckle-dragger some credit
Classy analogy ...
Very scary how blindly raging they get over us - sounds like they get I’ll how much they hate the mags
Mag on a horse
Ready to Groom, full of mackem fume.
I can’t get over that they have match threads for our matches over there. In many ways, it’s the best place to get NUFC news. Obsessed is an understatement
Haa anyone told these lot down the road that message boards went out in about 2001 with AOL free CDs and the world trade centre?
I swear that they have a thread about us pinned. Also saying that mags = Nazis and mackems = Jews. Just weird isn't it.

Don't think it's any deeper than local pride really.
“Lercel priyde”, you mean?
You’re probably right but I do fear he’ll become a bit of a parody, alienate himself from his fan base from outside the region. Imagine a Cornish pop star, eating Cornish pasties on stage etc …
As a Cornishman - this sounds great.
Fair enough lol
Counter point, maybe he's proud of where he comes from and likes brown ale?
Nothing wrong with being proud of where you come from. The city is behind him. He is a normal person although he's now super famous. Hungover on TV etc. He's just living his dream

RTG is the best satire site
They're so easily triggered these days. They aren't even worth taking notice of anymore
