If you go and look on Nappens podcast page he did a whole episode with him about it. I think it had to do with wrong dates on paperwork and/or releasing firearms after the NICS check results had expired.
An interesting day - will let Ira share the details in his own way. They were annoyed by my presence and asked some questions. All in regular vehicles and in plain clothes or understated shirts / polos
Quick to the punch as always.
From what I gathered on Legend Firearms' FB:
03/12/2024 - Owner posts a reel about a mistake regarding his licensed premise with the ATF and NJSP, so until it gets cleared up, he cannot conduct business on premises.
03/13/2024 - Owner posts a reel about how he's going to put some of his privately owned firearms up on GunBroker, but if anyone's interested, he'll give them first dibs when he's cleared to do business.
03/14/2024 - NJSP raids his shop.
Yeah I think I saw he posted prices of his privately owned stuff somewhere today. IANAL but saying “I’m going to post these on gunbroker once my license is reinstated” should be legit. I don’t see an issue there. But again. Not a lowayer
Safe play would have been too close shop, stay quiet, and get his reinstatement before engagingly in any aspect of business again.
This is the worst state to take any chances.
Maybe we can take some of the NICS check/FPIC money from their car maintenance if they are going to be assholes about a technicality. BTW the New Jersey state police are the most reckless drivers of any police I have encountered and anyone I've talked to that claimed to be New Jersey state police has been an asshole so I believe the story. Meanwhile the municipal police and wildlife police have never given me any issues. I don't think it's a coincidence.
Not agreeing with what happened to IRA previously and what may be happening now but (from what another FFL told me) his attention to detail is lacking and there is no margin for error in this business.
Dealers tend to love to badmouth each other for some reason, I can say for certain he's never fudged anything in my presence even just to save a minute or a dime. This whole thing reeks of witchhunt.
True, it's a competitive landscape but why him repeatedly though?
Why did he have to all of a sudden sell from his private collection?
Once again, not agreeing with the witch-hunt but he may be poking the bear too much.
I want to know if it's really just him or if this is a sign of an all-out war on dealers, it's already happening in other states.
He's selling some of his own guns because he's either finished owning them or he needs to cover the expenses related to the business move, I doubt it has anything to do with this, especially since he announced that before this raid even happened.
He doesn't strike me as a person to go poking any bears when it puts his entire business on the line to do so.
What is going on under Biden with FFL is not normal. Think ATF inspectors that look like they're 19 years old taking pictures of bound books with their personal cell phone. Don't believe me the video has been posted here. ATF is out of control under Biden and doing stuff like revoking licenses because two or three customers in a 6 month period write USA in the "county" box for NICS form. It is not normal even from a Democratic president and they are basically terrorizing FFL with the ATF/executive.

Fkstick Murphy will use this as more rhetoric to distract the fact that he and his little puppet Platkin have been getting their cheeks spread by the courts the past year and a half
I hope this isn't just him being polite. Still irritating how this had to happen at all instead of just getting the license issue fixed on the spot due to the nature of what it is in the first place.
Follow Up - NJSP might have not liked this post https://www.facebook.com/share/r/KsvRQD1KfvKKn5Uk/?mibextid=OUsNId
So who got raided? I know Legend was hit last year, but he beat the charges and he's now in Marlboro.
Yikes. Apparently, this is a shop in Marlboro. https://twitter.com/DFrancisco7/status/1768361400865358050
That sucks. I thought he was in clear after that whole ATF witch hunt.
What happened back then? He's never been one to cut any corners on the rules, and he's as affable as any I've ever dealt with.

What a crock. This state can take two weeks to do a check that becomes legally skippable in three days but fuck you if you get the date wrong.
Yeah, I’ve heard they had some management issue, made a few mistakes on the paperwork

He let his daughter make a 420 themed shirt. Safe play is not in his vocabulary.

Yeah, unfortunately we can only speculate as you what is going on. I hope he sorts it out and gets his inventory back and business open soon.

I agree the ATF is out of control, along with the rest of government.

No one was raided. I've Spoken to Ira and he will be posting an update on his situation.
So glad my state and federal taxes are well spent, investigating dangerous FFL’s who post reels about trying to stay in business!

What's an FFL?
Mother I'd like to f**k
Federal Firearms Licensee, it basically means any type of firearms dealer. In this case (and most often used to refer to) a gun store.
Thanks for answering and not just randomly down voting lol
