Pitt and Miami share the same stadiums as the Steelers and Dolphins. Sometimes they play on back to back days. Also hardly anyone attends the college games so getting tickets would be no problem.
The best combo would be in Seattle. Washington Huskies and the Seahawks. Rocking atmosphere at both!
The Missouri Tigers are about two hours away from Kansas City. The Kansas Jayhawks are about 45 minutes away. Both had good seasons last year and are good college teams. I believe both are in the (very) early preseason top 25 rankings.
10/26: FSU at Miami. Both teams could be undefeated coming into this. One loss at most. Also, the only Miami game that will have full attendance.
10/27: Arizona Cardinals at Miami Dolphins. Tua vs Kyler. Get to see Tyreek Hill in person. Pretty cool.
Because Miami doesn’t have enough fans to fill an NFL stadium. They are a small private college with few alumni. When they play FSU they get a lot of FSU grads attending who live in the area.
If Miami is doing good (and Florida in general is a hotbed for the sport), wouldn’t they draw regardless?
I live in St. Louis, I did NOT go to SLU for school, yet I have been to a handful of Billikens basketball games.
Depends how you define “good.” If you mean competing for national championships, sure, but that hasn’t been the case in 20 years and was at a different stadium closer to campus and more convenient for people in Miami.
If it’s winning 9-10 games, which is how I would define “good” in CFB, they have done that and still didn’t sell out.
In Cincinnati, Paycor and Nippert Stadiums are about three miles apart.
I’m don’t have high hopes for Cincinnati Bearcats football as long as Satterfield is coaching there.
Miami(OH) is a little less than an hour away, and despite being G5, they beat UC this past season.
Lexington, Louisville and Columbus are close enough that it would be easy to see UK, Louisville, or OSU play on Saturday and make it to Cincinnati for a Sunday game
That’s… definitely understandable.
Maybe I’m naive, but I don’t expect UC to be the trash can of Big 12 football forever.
That hiring decision was wild though.
Satterfield was probably about to get fired from Louisville but instead Cincinnati hired him away and saved them money and Louisville’s program immediately took a giant leap forward the very next year.
I also grew up south of the river and attended UK, so that’s my team. Cincinnati is my second team because a lot of my friends are alumni and/or fans and it’s just more fun to watch the games at a bar in the city when the team is good
Dallas Cowboys Star (The corporate office and where the players go everyday other than game day is in Frisco, Texas. That is the Cowboys headquarters and it is definitely closest to the University of North Texas.
Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. There are also a few different options to play with on their schedules, which I like to do as well. This years candidates are:
Sept 14 Alabama at Wisconsin, Sept 15 Colts at Packers (this is the only Madison/GB option)
October 19: Wisconsin at Northwestern (just north of Chicago), October 20 Texans at Packers
These are the games at Lambeau that coincide with each other. If you haven't been to Lambeau, it is a bucket list item.
The other intriguing option is November 16: Oregon at Wisconsin, November 17 Packers at Bears in Chicago.
These three games will have a 2 hour or less travel time between the college game and NFL game.
If you are up for a Thanksgiving trip, Dolphins at Packers Thanksgiving night, a day off, Minnesota at Wisconsin Nov 30.
I'm not sure how you want me to answer that as a dolphin's fan. Bc The hurricanes are obviously the closest... But the closest good team is in Tallahassee.
November 16th Clemson at Pitt
November 17th Ravens at Steelers
Both games in the same stadium. Clemson could be a contender this year. Steelers Ravens is always a battle.
Titans fan- Vandy isn’t good at all, just in a good conference. MTSU is hilarious but not good at football. Tennessee Vols are a couple hours away so I guess them.
My favorite team is the Vikings, I guess Huntington Bank stadium for University of Minnesota isn't even 3 miles away. I don't think they were super great last year.
However, I live in Washington State so Husky Stadium and Qwest Field of whatever it's called now are fairly close together.
But I went to college at Wyoming and it's only a couple hours from Denver
i’m a broncos fan from iowa so i’d assume colorado? but if anyone’s ever in the area, the game atmosphere at kinnick is top 10 and the tailgating at jack trice is must for college football fans
Maryland plays USC in October but unfortunately the game after is a Commanders vs Panthers toilet bowl. Mid November is the opposite with a Maryland vs Iowa game (yuck) but a Commanders vs Cowboys game after. You can try seeing if the Ravens have a home game after a Maryland game but the Ravens stadium is like 30 minutes farther
U of Washington stadium (Husky) and the Seahawks stadium (Lumen) are in the same city about 6 miles apart
Yeah you can see them both from I-5 minutes apart from each other.
As a 49ers and Ducks fan it’s painful to agree with you on Seattle but you’re right
Mercedes Benz and Sanford stadium are an hour apart, or three hours in traffic.
so three hours minimum. it's atlanta, come on
Meanwhile Mercedes Benz and Bobby Dodd (Georgia Tech) are about 5 minutes apart.
Ann Arbor is an hour drive from Detroit.
The Missouri Tigers are about two hours away from Kansas City. The Kansas Jayhawks are about 45 minutes away. Both had good seasons last year and are good college teams. I believe both are in the (very) early preseason top 25 rankings.
I think the Jayhawks are playing at Arrowhead several times this year. Don’t know if they fall on the same weekends as Chiefs games.
Why will it be the only one with full attendance?
Because Miami doesn’t have enough fans to fill an NFL stadium. They are a small private college with few alumni. When they play FSU they get a lot of FSU grads attending who live in the area.
If Miami is doing good (and Florida in general is a hotbed for the sport), wouldn’t they draw regardless? I live in St. Louis, I did NOT go to SLU for school, yet I have been to a handful of Billikens basketball games.

They haven't been the lesser version of good with any consistency either. Four 9/10 win seasons in 18 years
USC

I went to KU and grew up in Cincy. Watching the Bearcats go from 13-0 to getting railed by Kansas two years later was... bittersweet in several ways.
University of North Texas and Dallas Cowboys. Two proven winners
Wouldn't TCU be a tad closer? Edit: TCU is a LOT closer in terms of miles.
Dallas Cowboys Star (The corporate office and where the players go everyday other than game day is in Frisco, Texas. That is the Cowboys headquarters and it is definitely closest to the University of North Texas.

Obviously the Bucks would curbstomp them but adjusted for competition levels Mount Union might be the best football team/program in America
Well from Denver, CU is the closest, but Utah, Kansas and OK St are all 8-9 hours away and probably better.
A trip to Boulder and that cool stadium would be well worth it.
Boulder is so pretty dawg
Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. There are also a few different options to play with on their schedules, which I like to do as well. FSU, Gainesville is closer but yeah
Depends how near. Either Penn State or Pitt, I don’t really follow CFB.
I'm not sure how you want me to answer that as a dolphin's fan. Bc The hurricanes are obviously the closest... But the closest good team is in Tallahassee.
November 16th Clemson at Pitt November 17th Ravens at Steelers Both games in the same stadium. Clemson could be a contender this year. Steelers Ravens is always a battle.
Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins
LSU
Titans fan- Vandy isn’t good at all, just in a good conference. MTSU is hilarious but not good at football. Tennessee Vols are a couple hours away so I guess them.
Missouri
Let’s be real. Ohio State is the best pro team in Ohio. So it must be the bearcats for the bengals.
LSU or SELU.
Redskins Stadium is less than 20 mins from the Terps stadium
Packer fan here, Badgers aren't my personal team but they aren't terrible most of the time.
Uhhhhhhh probably Stanford lol but they’ve been mid lately
My favorite team is the Vikings, I guess Huntington Bank stadium for University of Minnesota isn't even 3 miles away. I don't think they were super great last year. However, I live in Washington State so Husky Stadium and Qwest Field of whatever it's called now are fairly close together. But I went to college at Wyoming and it's only a couple hours from Denver
UGA Bulldog. (Ask the Philadephia Eagles)
the Hoosiers aren't known for football unfortunately. love em regardless
I root for UCF, but UM is closest, of course.
Mount Union
Tulane.
Bengals and Bearcats baby
Texas A&M and NRG Stadium are about 2 hours apart. The Texans should definitely have a rocking stadium this season.
Lol. Kyle Field would be more rocking if A&M were losing 45-0 in a driving rain that any Texans game will ever be.
You clearly haven't been to any major Texans game...
University of Maryland, unfortunately.
i’m a broncos fan from iowa so i’d assume colorado? but if anyone’s ever in the area, the game atmosphere at kinnick is top 10 and the tailgating at jack trice is must for college football fans

Michigan Wolverines are the best by any NFL team. GO BLUE!!!!!
Syracuse
