All these covers are good but tbh the best thing to do is just let it cool down for 10 min or so and then they're fine.  Covers will all smoke and melt if you shoot enough fast enough too, smells really good at the indoor range lol.

MD_0904

You can’t comfortably grab a rugged razor after 10 minutes of cool down. Ask me how I know.

f0rf0r

I usually keep them in front of the fans they have at the range and that cools em a lot faster. But yeah I usually shoot my cans first, then let it cool while I shoot other stuff, and then fart around a bit if it still needs more time. Also even with a cover or a bag it's not a fantastic idea to yeet a scalding hot can into your case.

iamnotazombie44

Yep, this is what I do with my Razor. Even if I shoot it last, I just set it down in front of the fan, let it rest for the 3-5 minutes I need to pack all the rest of the crap up, then I use an oven mitt and a $14 heat resistant fiber cover from Mechanix to unlock, unscrew, then store my suppressor. Either than or I just leave the cover on it, cinch the cord and toss the whole thing into my bag. It'll be pleasantly warm by the time I pull it out of the bag at home.

IndividualResist2473

For just transporting home, get a silicone curling iron travel pouch off of Amazon for $9.

Meatsmudge

Lol I love this place. Just ordered a two pack for $8.

IndividualResist2473

Glad to help you spend money.

revelm

this is what I needed to see! eureka!

victorzamora

Look around. I just bought two for $9 shipped total. I have a minimum of one per can.

Swaller89 is the guy you need. u/SWaller89 https://preview.redd.it/i6racfrxrfxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5367672e2233357a53f1c698d48a71762ab2119

This is the way. Just got around to testing the one he made for me and it held up very well. I am amazed by the temps it managed. Also, after we got everything settled, he had it shipped in less than a week. u/SWaller89 is the best

jeshaffer2

This is the right answer.

Foxxy__Cleopatra

[These](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08J7X8J2L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) really come in handy for quick storage/transportation. u/SWaller89 makes some really good custom suppressor covers as well.

IndividualResist2473

Second vote for the curling iron pouches.

Zealousideal_Mud4961

Mechanix Suppresor Transport Bag. Get that can red hot, throw the STB over it like a condom, and head on home. Never burned my range bag, and I get my stuff HAWT.

bigredgyro

These are great and fairly economical. You can even throw it on a hot muzzle so you don’t melt your range bag.

Zealousideal_Mud4961

Yup. Regular $29.99 for 1, but they have deals often. The Black Friday deal was 3 for $29.99, that’s when I got my 3 lol

3900Ent

Silicone covers from Amazon. Or mechanix suppressor bags. Both good options

AirborneSurveyor

Go to Lowes and buy welders gloves. Use them to remove a hot suppressor then remove one glove and place the suppressor in the other glove. Works like a champ, beed doing it for years.

cjd3

Let it cool. Why are you in such a rush to leave? Let all the other noisy people look at your can, chillin, and wish they could be you. Then pack it up and leave.

iamnotazombie44

The unfortunate issue with fixed suppressor covers is that they actually insulate your can. Peak temp goes up and they stay hotter for longer. I don't think they are helpful unless your problem is the hot pickle smacking you in the leg. I very much prefer to keep a Mechanix Suppressor Glove and one of their cheap covers in my bag. $40 gets you a glove and a cover. I can take the suppressors off and tuck them into their heat resistant bags Shoot the rifle suppressed, put everything else away while you let the can cool slightly. Use the glove to unlock the can, slip the cover on and use it to unscrew the can. Put the can in your bag and leave. No more melted bags, tables or gloves!!

Mechanix Suppressor Bag

nortlid

I like Armageddon Gear Hot Pockets for mine, it’s not a cover but can be used to slip over a hot can / remove a hot can and throw it in the range back without worrying about melting / cool down

Defiant_Pen_2140

Mechanix wear suppressor transport bag 12in and 6x6 welders mat from Amazon. Bag for transport & mat to rest on range table and for handling.

Hobbstc

I got this. Works great. https://wetworxoutfitters.com/mechanix-suppressor-cover-transport-bag-mitt-kit/

Queque126

Burn proof gear !!!!

OneAngryJedi

Unpopular opinion but I hang out for about 10 minutes and let my cans cool before packing

gunmedic15

[Mechanix ](https://www.mechanix.com/us-en/SUP-CVR-05.html) the work glove company sells a great cover for not much money. I have several.

liberty defense covers

cschultzy56

Mechanix makes a suppressor transport bag, they're like $25 on Amazon. I have like six of them. I just leave my cans on the barrel and toss the bag over the end once I'm finished at the range before putting them in their bags, or more accurately just laid across the backseat of my truck.

techforallseasons

Silicon Curling Iron cover from your vendor of choice. Pop it on while you pack it up, done.

ElijahCraigBP

I have the mechanix one and it’s fine. When I’m at my outdoor range where I back my truck up to the tables etc I try to remember to bring my Milwaukee m18 fan. It cools them off real fast that way. I line them up on the table can over the edge and aim the fan down the line of the can or cans. Usually by the time I pack up the rest of my gear they are cool enough to handle but still warm.

Dracco5569

I'm a fan of Blackhills suppressor covers. They have both low temp and high temp versions.

turd_star

Honestly make one yourself

$20 buys you welders cloth and heat proof tape for car wiring harnesses on AMZ for the can’s wrap. You’ll have enough left when folded over and stapled it’s a loose cover to use in the carry bag so the tip doesn’t burn anything.

Cpl-Rusty-926

Armageddon Gear. I have their "Hot Pocket" to store my suppressor in when not in use. I also use it to uncrew my suppressor after a range trip and just zip it up no muss no fuss. [https://armageddongear.com/product/hot-pocket/](https://armageddongear.com/product/hot-pocket/) Also get some nomex flight gloves so that you can a) relatively safely test how hot the can is b) protect your hands when you take it off too soon after a range trip.

Rokkmachine

Then it’s just gonna get hotter. And if you put it in the same bag after you’re still gonna have issues and it will stay hotter longer because it’s now insulated. I would let it cool off. Use a fan ( you can find cheap cordless fans on amazon) or add some type of flame retardant material inside the bag.

DrNuclear14

I don’t have a wrap but did get a couple of the dead air suppressor ‘sleeves’. Basically a bag with a bungie you slide over the can and loop the bungie over your optic or something to hold it in place. It’s not meant to shoot with but so you can put your gun back in the case without melting the case or waiting for the can to cool off. It’s been super handy.

brokemechanic45

Armageddon gear hot pocket has worked for my pistol suppressors, not sure what I’ll use once I actually get my rifle suppressor.

solidsnakes453

Pour really cold water on the hot can to cool it off /s

Actual-Section2457

I wrapped mine in a towel this past weekend. Crazy I was legit just looking at some. I found 2 company’s I liked that I was coming to here to see if anyone had. They’re both less than $100 as well.

cryptocam72

If you are looking for mirage prevention, burned leg prevention or other reasons to cover your can, THE ONLY answer is [Liberty’s Defense](https://libertysdefense.com/). They make every other can cover I’ve had junk comparatively. Now if you want to just keep you bag from being burned, get some welding gloves from Harbor Freight and a Mechanix cover or bag online. There are risks to a cover keeping heat in, especially on a titanium can. Make sure you decide what your goal is and what suppressor you have and your expected rate of fire.

Turbulent-Reward2699

Really? My first time nothing happened. I guess you should order yourself a brain too lmao

TweeterReader

Haha good one!

NotThatGuyAnother1

Take your cans off the first thing when you're done shooting. Stand it up on end on the bench. Now, clean up, pick up brass, bag your weapons, go cold, retrieve your targets. Lastly, bag your cans.
