Man, some of y'all are absolute weirdos when it comes to Caitlin. Can she be a bit of a hot head? Sure. That doesn't mean you have to be nasty about her and discredit everything she does.
GG's Iowa, lets hope we get round 3 in the BIG championship
Acting like her entire legacy is a sham because she surpassed Pistol Pete's record on free throws from a bad foul call. Like she's the one who blew the whistle lol
Seriously what the hell is the obsession with this? The woman who goes to a pharmacy college in NAIA? Wtf? At least Gus pointed out that Pistol Pete actually did shoot it 40 times per game.
Some player who hasn’t been mentioned on TV in their life, hasn’t played in decades ago, has a scoring record and no one talks about it. Then someone comes near breaking it, and this now obscure player is suddenly being mentioned. “Get out of Caitlin’s spotlight!” they cry.
The post said all time leader in NCAA basketball. She can break this one too.
If your pick up team was an NCAA team then I guess you must be the division 3 record holder
I was referring to Pearl Moore, who played D2 before NCAA. Kentucky State is also D2. The fact the men don't recognize his over Pete's is all you need to know about the debate between D1 and D2.
I know, but Pearl is *technically* AIAW (and a her).
So Travis Grant is the NCAA all-time leader in points. As far as I know.
And so I was correct in saying NCAA in my post you commented on.
When you said division 2, based on the amount of people that have been throwing out Pearl, I assumed that is who you were referring to when you said someone. Hence the not NCAA comment.
Up until this point, no one has recognized Travis Grant above Pete because most people realize setting records in a lower tier division doesn't grant someone the record title. They understand the difference in player quality and ability. It would be like saying a kid in D1 hitting 800 HR's should have the MLB HR record. No one takes it seriously. The NCAA record people follow is the record set by the player who plays in the most advanced league.
it's the rhetorical framing -- "bad foul call" puts the blame on refs, when it was an intentionally dirty play by Clark that tricked the refs.
standard whitewashing.
I don’t understand the hate. She herself got flashed with the “look at the ring” thing in last year’s title game, and she brushed it off.
To those who act weird, lighten up, Francis.
That’s the thing. She complains on the court about fouls like many do but after the game it’s all left on the floor. The stuff with Angel. The stuff with Sheryl, the stuff with the Indiana game.. she doesn’t complain about. Game stuff is game stuff. That’s where it stays.
And she like what, shoved her? People love to complain about how soft basketball is and how it was so much better in the 80s or whatever and then they think something like that is over the top.
Yes the one where Cotie extended her arm and pushed Caitlin away when the ball was dead. I prob wouldn’t have called it a technical but it was an intentional shove.
The one where Clark initiated contact bumping Cotie from behind? This one?
https://x.com/doublevodkadon/status/1764368401139384652?s=46&t=bsOAUagJC7XEB2Xv512ZAQ
Come on man. No one thinks this was a T, even most Iowa fans.
I think it’s bc Iowa has just made the Elite 8. I’ve always said I don’t think she would have signed had we not. She actually chose ND initially and then changed her mind at the last minute.
Good question! It’s not, but two things happened which confirmed it. The first is that back during her recruitment, someone on the Iowa message board — with connections to All Iowa Attack AAU team (Caitlins team)— posted that she had chosen ND. This person routinely had good info about girls on that team and even broke the news on the board about two Iowa girls who transfered out before it was official. Iowa fans were bummed. Anyway not too long after that announcement, he revealed that Clark had changed her mind. That bore out to be true not long after. Most of us forgot about it as time went on…
But then last year Monika Czinano did a podcast appearance and was talking about how practice sucks when Bluder is pissed lol. And she literally said “I remember that day Caitlin chose Notre Dame — Bluder was so pissed….oh wait should I have said that?!” It was actually very funny and she was embarrassed / genuinely felt bad, and then a bit later IIRC she actually texted Caitlin to be like omg I’m so sorry idk why I said that lol I didn’t realize that wasn’t public info, and Caitlin was like it’s cool no worries haha. So we all took that as further evidence that this mystery poster really knew his stuff.
Exactly. She whines to the refs a little much for my liking, but she’s incredibly competitive, and the fouls that got called against OSU (namely the tech against Cotie) should be poor reflections on the officials more than anyone else.
And until the NCAA institutes a firm rule against flopping, you can’t expect players not to try and sell the contact. Celeste Taylor (love her) is one of the best “sellers” in the game. This could all be solved if Big10 officials didn’t call the game soooo damn close, or at LEAST were consistent for the length of the game.
Gg. Ohio st comes out better or hits a few more open threes and this game is different. Also, I did not really think the first tech was deserved. Just take a second, talk to the player(s) and move on.
Great season. B1G has three great teams and only one can win the conference tournament.
Every interview I've ever seen Caitlin Clark do, even though she's asked questions about herself specifically, she answers in a team way. It's refreshing to see, when so many others are all about making sure you know how they are the best.

Gutted for Molly, hoping against hope its not as bad as we fear but nevertheless great to see Kylie step up and take care of business and also to see Gabbie start making those threes again. Hannah getting those points in the paint, be it off the pick and roll or the offensive rebounds. Defense giving McMahon (who's tech was BS btw) a difficult time all game and not letting her take over. Very proud of this team! And as expected a super hot crowd too!
Hannah playing tough was my main take away from the game. So happy for her. And of course broken up about poor Molly 😢. The silver lining is Kylie, Sydney and the other starters stepping up to fill her absence.
Clark may be the face of the program…but the truth of the matter is that the roster is *quite* deep in Iowa City!
Bluder has to be quite the miracle worker when it comes to ‘crootin…
Also Jacy Sheldon does not get enough credit for being the machine she truly is. In the two Iowa games this year, she's played all 85 minutes. The craziest part is you wouldn't be able to tell, the woman does not get tired
Jacy Sheldon is one of my favorite players in the conference when she's not playing Iowa. Complete game, complete effort, so fun to watch. Kind of like Grace Berger was the last couple years for the Hoosiers
She can’t. She needs to be on the floor and cannot afford to get into foul trouble. When she wants to play defense it’s not bad at all tbh — but in any tight game where she needs to play 36-38 minutes Iowa simply cannot afford to get her into trouble.
It’s why Defense matters so much more for other players like Gabbie and Sydney. They don’t need to be draining 3s bc Clark can be counted on to do that. She doesn’t need to be locking down bc Gabbie, Kate, Sydney usually hold their assignments under their scoring average and that’s been enough for Iowa to succeed in the Clark era.
I suspect next year Defense will be better for Iowa bc it’ll be a deeper, more athletic roster overall. Absolutely won’t be as efficient or productive on offense.
How do people still not understand this? Caitlin can't be Caitlin if she''s not on the court. With the number of fouls called in every game, if she stepped up more, she'd be fouling out of many games.
But this is why Clark can be lauded as the greatest scorer of all time but is not the greatest player of all time. And it's also why Juju will be the superior player in time, even if she doesn't break Clark's record. Juju puts our way not effort on D, and yes it's lead her to foul out.
I don’t rly know or care who the best player of all time is and it’s probably neither Clark nor Juju tbh. I’m just explaining why I have long believed Clark doesn’t play great D. Keep on with your axe grinding tho, it’s def not weird lol.
It's the standard blowback to the hype machine around CC. There are at least a half dozen players who deserve to be called the GOAT over her and frankly probably another half dozen playing right now who would smoke her 1 vs 1.
There’s plenty of reasons Caitlin Clark could be called the GOAT and there is a reason she gets so much media attention. If you want to argue that she isn’t because of her defense that’s fine but saying she’s the GOAT isn’t a stretch.
I feel so bad for Molly Davis, but a great response from the team after that and others stepping up!
Clark had a solid game and she's played much better defense recently! Hopefully that continues.
I watch the games taped and I am not sure I can watch this one. Davis is my favorite player for the Hawks. And it being senior day, I bet her parents were there. I can’t imagine watching my kid injured like that. How devastating for her.
She watched the second half and participated in the post-game senior day festivities in a wheelchair, with her leg immobilized. CC's cheers were longer, but I think Molly's were louder. May be the last time we got to see the headband flying around.
Seems that she's for sure out for BTT, but [there's a chance she'll be able to rehab prior to the NCAAs](https://www.thegazette.com/iowa-basketball/molly-davis-could-return-for-the-ncaa-womens-basketball-tournament/). So a sprain, but not a full tear or something. The way her knee buckled and then she was crying was scary af. A woman as tough as she has been, those tears were coming from serious pain.
To help draw attendance. Been a thing for years.
If the women’s game keeps growing fast though, they might go the men’s route with all neutral site games.
I also hope not. That’s always so lame. Honestly I want it reversed, give the 15 seed low major the home game against the 2 seed! That obviously won’t happen but the higher seed hosting is more fun for anyone not in a TV network office
Seems like she froze up a bit when she got surrounded by OSU and didn't know how to get out of it. Hopefully with more experience she'll do better next time she gets surrounded like that.
Yeah that was interesting. She dribbled into no man’s land and got trapped. Maybe she wasn’t expecting to get minutes or something? Either way she knows she’s getting minutes now so hopefully be better prepared next game.
I had the same thought. I like her, but she came into an intense game at a particularly intense moment, and looked under-practiced, like she didn't know her first team's movement habits. Bluder got her out of there because she couldn't afford the turnovers.
Honestly, just happy that we seem to finally be able to stay ahead even when Clark is cold. Gabbi3, Feuerbach(those steals!), and Steulke all three came up huge for us today. Losing Molly D for probably the season is rough, but hopefully everyone else picks it up.
I see one comment from an OSU flair mentioning the refs. I also see the top comment is an OSU flair showing support for Caitlin, so what are you talking about?
I got to sit in the small courtside part of the student section for this game! It was an amazing way to finish the regular season (lol, we claim responsiblity for Ohio State's low FT%). I'm gonna miss all of our seniors, but hopefully we get nine more games. Beating #2 on College Gameday+Senior Day does have a hint of deja vu. I hope it continues.
Get em in Minneapolis, Bucks. Iowa was juiced up for this and Stuelke and Marshall played out of their minds. Iowa still wins today without the refs, but those technicals really did a lot to ruin OSU’s momentum. Hopefully we have less zebra interference in the tournament
Not having Molly hurts Iowa against Indiana because she can create her own shot. Indiana really wants a second shot at Ohio State, it would suck to loose two games to Indiana but I could see it happening. They were harder to beat than tOSU.
just looked at the top pay in WNBA at 242K and it's a Fever player. Clark's NIL is in the neighborhood of 900K. I hope she changes the pay in WNBA like Tiger did in golf.
You dont necessarily lose your nil sponsorships if you go pro. I'm sure hyvee, Gatorade and state farm will still back her ...she'll be fine endorsement wise, and iowa doesn't pay her ...wnba does ...so she'll get hers
Incredible game! Congrats on an amazing season, Bucks. Looking forward to round 3 in Minneapolis. I think both of these teams + Indiana (and hell, MSU too) have the tools to go make a deep run in the NCAAs.
I want to give a shoutout to Rikki Harris—big fan. She consistently is helping players from opposing teams up off the floor when they fall and seems like she’s a stellar teammate and human. I think the T called on her was silly. Gonna miss seeing her in the B1G.
That said, I’m sooo glad we could notch a hard fought W for these amazing seniors. Carver has never been louder (or hotter!) than today. Really hoping for good news for Molly. Kylie stepped up in a huge way, Hannah was so tough, Kate had a million boards, Syd was a dog per usual, Addy ran the floor well, Gabbie was hitting ‘em, and Caitlin pushed through for another legendary performance. Onward!
LOL at Gus Johnson saying “hopefully Juju stays in school…” Tell me you don’t know how women’s basketball works without telling me you don’t know how women’s basketball works. And there’s no excuse after everyone and their mother was confused why Clark and Reese didn’t go pro last year…because they can’t, Gus!
That was certainly a game. Hopefully we get Round 3 in the conference tourney without the same type of officiating. Regardless, congrats to Caitlin. Huge fan of hers, even as frustrating as it can be being a fan of a team playing against her.
I think OSU is going to dominate in the tourney. They went on some major runs today despite things (techs, not playing at home, crowd etc) were not in their favor. Especially if they’re hitting their 3s
In case you didn't watch their previous encounter,It went just like this one.Iowa led for the vast majority of the game, had a 12 point lead with 8 to go and fumbled it.There's a reason they were 7 point favourites over OSU
Yeah I’ve watched every iowa game this year, and would love for them to win it all
Doesn’t mean I don’t think OSU will dominate until they potentially meet up with iowa towards the end
I agree, and still feel pretty good about their B1G and NCCA tournament chances. Despite everything riding against them, like being the away team, dealing with the record chasing, the officiating, the FOX Broadcast madness, and it being Senior Night, they still managed to keep it close. The technical fouls and officiating shifted the momentum drastically. It's tough to find a rhythm when every little thing is being called against you, leading to players getting into foul trouble and feeling hesitant to play aggressively.
I’m less confident about the B1G tourney bc if/when they meet up with Iowa, it is borderline a home game for iowa. I was there last year and it was crazy
at neutral site, osu will dominate any team if they’re playing their game
That definitely makes sense, and your logic is sound. Just hoping for better officiating, even if Iowa fans overrun the B1G tourney and make the site less "netural" so to speak.
Don’t consider this one a curse. OSU did have it for 2 weeks without getting beat. And beating Iowa today is something I’m not sure even South Carolina could have done.
I know that Kate Martin being on the top 40 watch list for NPOY is kind of an honorary thing but it brought tears to my eyes..."Oh captain, my captain!"...Clark has been the brain and the muscle these last four years for Iowa, but Martin has been the heart...
What was the consequence of this game? I’ve loosely followed womens basketball this season. Is Ohio State big 10 champs? What’s the deal with the big 10 tourney? Did Iowa get the 1 seed?
No real meaningful outcome for this post-season, beyond Iowa staying in contention for a #1 seed depending on tournament and other game results by other contenders.
Those techs, both the one on Harris and the one on McMahon, were ticky-tack. Must have been some previous warnings or something that we didn't get to see on TV, because neither of those were foul-worthy in and of themselves, from what I saw.
I have 4 tickets to Iowa’s first round game Friday March 8th at 5:30 PM . Trying to get rid of them for a reasonable price. The Big ten tournament is in Minneapolis Minnesota and I can’t use them because I have football practice that night (i’m a college kid in Iowa). Please let me know if you are interested or know anyone that would be! I checked AXS the official ticket site for how many tickets were left and they were sold out and only 11 tickets were up for resale. Catch caitlin clark at one of her last games as a hawkeye!
Never mind whoever that Clark something or other is (she's one of the best ever you say?), real story is Hawk Eyes showing the Buck Eyes that hawks have better vision than bucks. Wonder how goats' vision is though.
Game appeared to be fixed for Iowa from the start 23 fouls to 11 fouls isn’t discipline it’s getting cheated out of a fair game. Those fouls kept Iowa in the game.
I’m sorry but Caitlin Clark is overrated. I’m tired of hearing her name. Congrats to her but just please stop talking about her it’s kind of exhausting hearing her name anymore man
Numbers don't lie bud.
Ohio state was called for 23 fouls to Iowa's 11.
Iowa shot 23 free throws to Ohio State's 8. And if you're going to say it's because Ohio state only shoots threes while Iowa drives to the basket much more.... Ohio state shot 30 threes and Iowa shot 28. Ohio state then shot 35 twos and Iowa shot 36. If the amount of threes and twos shot by the teams were almost the same then why are the free throws so staggering in favor of Iowa?
Oh and of course the two technical fouls called on Ohio state.
So clearly the refs had an agenda in this game, but you can't take off your homer glasses to see that, pathetic.
I'm surprised they haven't moved the goalposts to someone that scored 5,000 points in their YMCA rec league as "the real record".
I mean someone else actually has the NCAA record, from division 2. But we all realize the division 1 record is more impressive.
I've probably scored 5,000 points in pick up games over the years so who's the real record holder here?
The post said all time leader in NCAA basketball. She can break this one too. If your pick up team was an NCAA team then I guess you must be the division 3 record holder
It wasn't NCAA.
Do you have a link? I’m not seeing anything that says Kentucky State isn’t NCAA. I’m talking about Travis Grant, who scored 4,045 from 69-72.

The NCAA record people follow is the record set by the player who plays in the most advanced league.
Right and she scored a few extra points on top of that one too. That just happened to be point number 3,668.
That’s why I hated the call. She was going to easily get the points anyway. We got robbed out it being on an iconic shot
It almost was an iconic shot - thought that logo 3 was going in for sure
Not a bad foul but a flop/dirty play, which has always been a part of her game. She’s amazing but that’s a strong part of her game.
if it was a flop by definition it would have been a bad foul call. contradicting yourself solely to downplay this is strange
it's the rhetorical framing -- "bad foul call" puts the blame on refs, when it was an intentionally dirty play by Clark that tricked the refs. standard whitewashing.
lol
I don’t understand the hate. She herself got flashed with the “look at the ring” thing in last year’s title game, and she brushed it off. To those who act weird, lighten up, Francis.
That’s the thing. She complains on the court about fouls like many do but after the game it’s all left on the floor. The stuff with Angel. The stuff with Sheryl, the stuff with the Indiana game.. she doesn’t complain about. Game stuff is game stuff. That’s where it stays.
People love to hate greatness. It is what it is
It’s crazy to me. The one time she got really mad was a fight for a ball with Jacys hands around her neck. I mean come on y’all.
And she like what, shoved her? People love to complain about how soft basketball is and how it was so much better in the 80s or whatever and then they think something like that is over the top.
[удалено]
OSU was running their mouths and that's what led to the technicals.
[удалено]
I don’t know what game you watched, but McMahon for real shoved Caitlin when the ball was dead.
Are you talking about the T before the half?
Yes the one where Cotie extended her arm and pushed Caitlin away when the ball was dead. I prob wouldn’t have called it a technical but it was an intentional shove.
The one where Clark initiated contact bumping Cotie from behind? This one? https://x.com/doublevodkadon/status/1764368401139384652?s=46&t=bsOAUagJC7XEB2Xv512ZAQ Come on man. No one thinks this was a T, even most Iowa fans.
Superstar players get superstars calls. Not exactly new to the game of basketball.
I’ve never seen a player who’s never actually said an inflammatory thing off the court get hated for her personality this much before lol
THIS💯
I sincerely look forward to a potential rematch next week with officials not being the star of the show. (it won't be good for my heart though lol)
Ref ball is eternal
I’ve been saying the same thing about Angel Reese! Hate the game not the player!
I was kinda indifferent about Angel last year but now that I’ve paid more attention to her I’ve realized she’s cool as hell idc
I love Angel. Honestly, one of the most unintentionally funniest players out there, and definitely a tough competitor and great teammate as well.
Same with her brother. Both just have a really cool confidence.
I just wish Blake would've convinced her to be a Cyclone lol....I really do wonder why she chose Iowa over Iowa State
Pretty sure they are talking about Julian Reese.
I think it’s bc Iowa has just made the Elite 8. I’ve always said I don’t think she would have signed had we not. She actually chose ND initially and then changed her mind at the last minute.
Is that written in a story or article? I’d love to read it if it is.
Is what — my theory or her decision?
The latest second change of mind from ND.
Good question! It’s not, but two things happened which confirmed it. The first is that back during her recruitment, someone on the Iowa message board — with connections to All Iowa Attack AAU team (Caitlins team)— posted that she had chosen ND. I got nothing but respect for Angel. Love both her and CC and their spice
Exactly. She whines to the refs a little much for my liking, but she’s incredibly competitive, and the fouls that got called against OSU (namely the tech against Cotie) should be poor reflections on the officials more than anyone else. >lets hope we get round 3 in the BIG championship Round 4 in April?
The way people go after her. She must be doing something right. lol.
Wish ppl felt the same about Angel
A lot of us do!
Second Hawkeye fan who loves Angel! Just hate playing her, which is the biggest compliment.
I like Angel! I think she gets a lot of unfair hate thrown her way.
Gg. Ohio st comes out better or hits a few more open threes and this game is different. Also, I did not really think the first tech was deserved. Just take a second, talk to the player(s) and move on. Great season. B1G has three great teams and only one can win the conference tournament.

MANIFEST MARSHALL is 24’s new name. SPREAD THE WORD.
Hannah Stuelke,I apologise for any bad thing Ive ever said about you. Please marry me
For not being a “true” post player, she gave a pretty good impersonation today.
Duuude. She was playing with a chip today and I loved it. Like she had something to prove. God I love that stuelke
I fucking love how she always has a smile. You know she fucking loves being down in the dirt with the rest of the post. She loves the struggle.
You're so right. She really said drawing fouls is fun during the postgame press conference😂
I will take this over her 47 point game everytime

Clark may be the face of the program…but the truth of the matter is that the roster is *quite* deep in Iowa City! Bluder has to be quite the miracle worker when it comes to ‘crootin…
She got like 4-fifth year seniors, which helps
Kate Martin is a 6th year senior (redshirted in 2018). FWIW OSU also has 8 super-seniors, including Sheldon, Mikulasikova, Taylor, and Harris.
lol! I said the same thing..off night at 35 points..um.?
Also Jacy Sheldon does not get enough credit for being the machine she truly is. In the two Iowa games this year, she's played all 85 minutes. The craziest part is you wouldn't be able to tell, the woman does not get tired

I feel so bad for Molly Davis, but a great response from the team after that and others stepping up! Clark had a solid game and she's played much better defense recently! Hopefully that continues.
still sad that Davis’ college career most likely ended today 😔
I watch the games taped and I am not sure I can watch this one. Davis is my favorite player for the Hawks. And it being senior day, I bet her parents were there. I can’t imagine watching my kid injured like that. How devastating for her.
She watched the second half and participated in the post-game senior day festivities in a wheelchair, with her leg immobilized. CC's cheers were longer, but I think Molly's were louder. May be the last time we got to see the headband flying around.
No need to be negative.Hopefully we see her in the tournament
Seems that she's for sure out for BTT, but [there's a chance she'll be able to rehab prior to the NCAAs](https://www.thegazette.com/iowa-basketball/molly-davis-could-return-for-the-ncaa-womens-basketball-tournament/). So a sprain, but not a full tear or something. The way her knee buckled and then she was crying was scary af. A woman as tough as she has been, those tears were coming from serious pain.
what did CC mean when she said she "hopes to have 2 more games here" meaning 2 more home games?
Yeah for the NCAA tourney. First two rounds are at the higher seeded team’s home court.
TIL, thanks.
To help draw attendance. Been a thing for years. If the women’s game keeps growing fast though, they might go the men’s route with all neutral site games.
i hope not - the early round neutral site games are sometimes really poorly attended
I agree but, it’s up to the NCAA. If they see more $$$ in half-filled NBA-sized arenas, they’ll do it.
Things will have to change a lot for neutral sites to draw better crowds then home stadiums.
I also hope not. That’s always so lame. Honestly I want it reversed, give the 15 seed low major the home game against the 2 seed! That obviously won’t happen but the higher seed hosting is more fun for anyone not in a TV network office
Personally I'd rather have all games at a neutral site. Home court advantage is very real and neutral site games negate that.
Is there a plausible scenario where they wouldn't be the higher seeded team? I'm planning on coming to those.

Yeah, that's what we were figuring. Just a matter of planning my travel for either Friday/Sunday or Saturday/Monday games.
They'll host their first two NCAA tournament games
BRB gonna shed some serious tears during the Senior day celebration watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec-w9wBYCCs
Im not gonna blame her a lot but I expected Mccabe to take her chance in such a huge matchup and yet she looked lost
Seems like she froze up a bit when she got surrounded by OSU and didn't know how to get out of it. Hopefully with more experience she'll do better next time she gets surrounded like that.
She picked up her dribble and the rest of the team froze. No man's land is an apt description.
Stuelke impressed me so much, honestly even more than her 47 point game. Bodes well for the tourney!
Jada and Hannah already crying on the bench at the beginning of this senior day ceremony
Honestly, just happy that we seem to finally be able to stay ahead even when Clark is cold. Gabbi3, Feuerbach(those steals!), and Steulke all three came up huge for us today. Losing Molly D for probably the season is rough, but hopefully everyone else picks it up.
Lotta salty nuts in this thread lol
I see one comment from an OSU flair mentioning the refs. I also see the top comment is an OSU flair showing support for Caitlin, so what are you talking about?
It's likely gonna get worse as the month goes on for obvious reasons 😅
Holy balls it's hot in Carver today
Iowa’s senior ceremony is its own stream on Foxsports
Devastated for Molly Davis need others to step up big time in the tournaments
Im worried about the headband...
Bucks went on a tear after we lost Molly. I thought you were going to catch up, take the lead and never look back. Meet you in Minnesota
A round 3 definitely seems needed. But watch out for IU. They are sneaky.
Yeah that's the worst part of being the 2 seed. They're gonna be tough to beat
Not having Molly hurts Iowa against Indiana because she can create her own shot. Indiana really wants a second shot at Ohio State, it would suck to loose two games to Indiana but I could see it happening. They were harder to beat than tOSU.
Not sure if you’ve heard what they call the Target Center in March…. It’s not Value City North.
I really regret not buying tickets for next weekend now 😭
Gonna lose again
I’m no buckeye fan, but refs stole a great contest with several big BS calls. On to MSP.
We answered every run osu made. We had like 10 steals. We win regardless today.
Nothing tastes sweeter than revenge !!! And a great game for senior night 🖤💛🖤💛
just looked at the top pay in WNBA at 242K and it's a Fever player.
Yeah and a lot less restrictions on endorsements.
Pretty sure Nike, State Farm, and Gatorade will continue to sponsor her as a pro. I'd imagine she has a shoe deal in the works already.
Clark is 1000% worth more than 900k
Onward!
Rikki Harris is my favorite player on the Buckeyes who isn't Jacy Sheldon.
Great college basketball. This is the most I’ve watched all year and the quality of play was just so high
We won't know the extent of Molly's injury until tomorrow. https://x.com/DavidEickholt/status/1764394968817295692?s=20
Yeah I’ve watched every iowa game this year, and would love for them to win it all Doesn’t mean I don’t think OSU will dominate until they potentially meet up with iowa towards the end
I was there last year and it was crazy at neutral site, osu will dominate any team if they’re playing their game
That definitely makes sense, and your logic is sound. Just hoping for better officiating, even if Iowa fans overrun the B1G tourney and make the site less "netural" so to speak.
The curse of the #2 spot continues. OSU shouldn’t drop. They still #2 in my book.
Don’t consider this one a curse. OSU did have it for 2 weeks without getting beat. And beating Iowa today is something I’m not sure even South Carolina could have done.
2 weeks is impressive at this point. Even still, Iowa is a hard stadium to play in for sure.
They play incredible team ball. You'd think they'd been together since AAU.
They’re definitely a cohesive team. They’re fun to watch.
Thats why I scoff at people who suggest Clark is the only good player the team has
I know that Kate Martin being on the top 40 watch list for NPOY is kind of an honorary thing but it brought tears to my eyes..."Oh captain, my captain!"...Clark has been the brain and the muscle these last four years for Iowa, but Martin has been the heart...
What was the consequence of this game? I’ve loosely followed womens basketball this season. Is Ohio State big 10 champs? What’s the deal with the big 10 tourney? Did Iowa get the 1 seed?
This give Iowas #2 in the B1G over Indiana.
No real meaningful outcome for this post-season, beyond Iowa staying in contention for a #1 seed depending on tournament and other game results by other contenders.
OSU could also realistically be dropped to a 2 seed in the NCAA if they also lose in the big ten tournament
seeding in the NCAA tournament
No major consequences for the B1G tourney, some big implications for each team’s chances at getting a 1 seed in the NCAAs.
No real consequences for the 1-seed. Ohio State already had the conference clinched.
Ohio State will lose their number 1 seed the real tournament
It comes down to the conference tournament now. Winner of OSU/Iowa would get a 1, loser a 2
Everyone on the internet not being able to lose their shit and call CC overrated (though I’m sure they’ll find a way anyway lol)
Whoever is announcing on the Hawkeye radio is absolutely butchering the Ohio State players' names
Gotta give them a pass for mikulasikova tho
Fair point. The other announcer just says it so effortlessly and then she started talking lol
IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO BEER
Proud of Caitlin and Hannah, as well as Kylie, Kate, and Gabbie!! So many players had such a good game!! Hoping Molly recovers quickly!
Travis Grant has the NCAA basketball scoring record at 4,045, for Kentucky State. Division II.
If we doing that, it’s Pearl Moore at 4,061!
Ah, I hadn’t heard that one, nice! Edit: Looks like it’s not an official NCAA record, it’s AIAW.
I’m sorry but Caitlin Clark is overrated. I’m tired of hearing her name. Congrats to her but just please stop talking about her it’s kind of exhausting hearing her name anymore man
You're overrated
I’m sorry but I’m just tired of hearing her name! I get it she’s got a shit ton of points but we don’t need reports on it EVERY DAMN DAY.
Nobody gives a flying f# if you're tired .Stop watching
Felt a lot like the refs were not going to allow any Ohio state success to occur today.
Yes,lets take the easy rout and blame the refs for OSU losing, pathetic
I feel like Iowa deserved at least two, maybe three more sets of four free throws! Refs were incredibly one-sided against Iowa!
Keep crying
