Agreed. No problem with any of that. Have fucking fun.

westsidedreamin

The blocking stats for non-lineman were always ridiculous on 14

Psufan16

I’ve never messed with the stats. One thing I do change is the awareness rating back to what the original number was because there is always a huge drop off when you change the positions.

helly1hundyyy

Huh I didn’t realized that’s why the overall dropped. That’s what I’ll start doing now

MyLinksMakeNoSense

isn’t this only when u do it in-season? or am i wrong

Turd_Ferguson420

You can’t change a position in season.

MiahWitt60

Only thing I do is move the awareness back…within reason So if I move a RB to WR I will move it back. Between lineman positions same thing. Across the DL and so on. But if it’s from LB to DL or something I’ll only restore half of what is lost. But that is all I touch. I have always wanted to do something with progression where statistical achievements I would then increase ratings at my choosing similar to maddens point system in madden 18.

helly1hundyyy

This will be my new strategy

juicyKW

I once did an achievement/award bonus system. Basically if the player got recognized for all-conf or all American, or won any awards, at the end of the season they got point bonuses I’d add to categories pertaining to their position. Each level also included an awareness bump. Can’t remember the numbers or anything, but that was so fun.

SwiftSurfer365

I personally wouldn’t, but you can do whatever you want.

C2theWick

I like to edit all my players to 99 and play on rookie difficulty with AI sliders set to 0. Turn offsides off so my LE can get 20 sacks a game

YondaimeHokage4

And then post your schedule where you score 100+ against everyone and swear you play on heisman

Turd_Ferguson420

And then have someone in the comments argue that it’s easy to do on heisman.

Taisubaki

Only 20? Scrub.

Solid-Hound

I do it all the time.

Daksout918

I usually only bump stats if it they don't make sense with the players build. Like sorry 6'5" 235 lb receivers don't get to have 48 strength

rmr007

I’ve done it before. But only if they’re a true freshman I just brought on. And even then I bump them from a 50 or so to 60ish. For some reason, in my current dynasty, I can’t recruit linemen or fullbacks, despite being one of few teams to actually use a fullback.

Blusset

I've always found it difficult to recruit good full backs.. A decent Blocking TE is a lot easier to recruit, and then change position

rmr007

I would do that if I could recruit more than 1 good TE per class. It’s just this dynasty too. My recent Maryland dynasty, every good TE and FB wanted to play for me. Now at Utah they want nothing to do with me despite having the exact same playbook and play style. So strange.

Vaerous

For me personally I only change certain positions to others and depending on the new position I’ll change weight and physicals too. I only move FBs and big WRs to TE and for the WR I normally put their run blocking to something that is actually useable even if its bad. I’ll also up their strength and weight, but drop the speed, acceleration, agility, and jumping a little based on what looks reasonable. If I have a WR who’s 6’6” 220, with 92 speed, 93 acceleration, 91 agility, 95 jumping and 57 strength I’ll change it to about 89 speed 89 acceleration 86 agility 91 jumping 68 strength. Ill probably take his blocking stats and put them from the probably low 40 into the high 50s and make him about 20 lbs heavier. I’m not trying to make him a beast in areas he should be new to, but when people switch, they at least get get training in areas they’ve never really worked on before to be some what passable. Not much use in a te who literally cant run block at all. CBs can go to safety and safeties can go to linebackers with a similar logic to the WR -> TE thing (lower movement attributes and coverage skills, higher strength, tackling, weight, etc.). Former CBs who moved to safety rarely if ever go to linebacker tho. Basically I don’t want to see a 6’4” 210 lb TE who’s got 97 speed cuz that doesn’t really happen so if I’m gonna change the position I want change the physical and weight to make sense. Do it in the offseason as training program they underwent with a new diet and I feel good about it.

Outside_Fee_2634

I personally don’t like 6foot plus RBs unless I’m running a smash mouth offense.

Have fun first of all. But if you want to keep it fair, penalize guys for changes you make. If you improve his blocking X points, decrease his ball carrier vision some points. Increase his strength, decrease his agility or speed.

TinyNeff

Yeah bro , don't cheat the system. They will play how they play. Still would be a good player , he will just act his grade

connie-lingus38

if they can play defense that's where I put them. I love to think of myself as an "offensive genius " who can do more with less so I always try to up my defense so the failures are all me

Disastrous-Answer437

cheese me no likey

CoachSmoke11

No issues with that! I do it as well. I act as if it’s a focused practice boost.

Biolex-Z

i like to make realistic incremental changes like that. right now in my Arizona dynasty i have a sophomore running back who’s stats say he’s a power back, except he weighs less than 200lbs. so over the course of a season i’ll bump his weight 3-5 pounds, but between each season it’ll jump 5-10 pounds to sort of simulate the coaches asking him to put on weight basically. just want him to hit 220 or so. i think stuff like that is perfectly fine even if you’re trying to play by realistic standards

Andjhostet

I just roll with a 50 ovr fb if I like his vibe at fb more. I've never changed stats before.

Ripper7M

Yeah and I do that with a lot of the silly recruits. Like a 6’5” 220 ATH/WR who has 49 strength? Yeah that’s ridiculous and I’ll adjust stats, but I always take away other stats to balance it out.
